Chapter Nineteen

NALA'S POV

I was standing near Susan as I watched her take an arrow out of her quiver and place it on her string. I watched Susan as she pulled it back sucking in air as she did, and aim to were she wanted the arrow to be shot. But as soon as she breathed out she released the arrow making it fly through the air and hit the second outer ring making me nod my head.

"Not bad, for a first timer." I said making Susan look at me and gave a small smile in appreciation before turning back and frown at how she could miss, since I instructed her how to shoot with a bow and arrow.

In the corner of my eyes I saw something flash in the sun and heard a thud making me look back out and saw a small dagger, right on the bulls eye causing Susan and I to look at Lucy in shock as she grinned innocently.

"Nice shot Lucy." I complemented her causing her to giggle.

"Thanks, now it's your turn." Lucy demanded playfully causing Susan and I to look at each other before shrugging making me grab an arrow out of my quiver and my bow before placing the arrow's end on the string and pulling back, sucking in my gut I held the bow right where I want it to be before releasing air out of my mouth as well as the arrow.

I watched as the arrow smacked right in the bulls eye with a loud thudding sound making Lucy squeal slightly making Susan and I to chuckle. But that all stopped when we heard horses behind us causing all three of us to turn around and see Peter and Edmund both with swords and one horses..... well Edmund was on a horse but Peter now that's another thing he was on a unicorn making me snort as it didn't make him anymore manly.

"Come on, Ed! Sword up just like Oreius showed us." Peter said with a little laugh as the started to practice sword fighting on the two stallions.

"En garde!" Edmund yelled.

"Now block." Peter demanded as they practice.

"Peter! Edmund!" Mr Beaver yelled out causing the horse that Edmund was riding to rear up.

"Whoa, horsie." Edmund said.

"My name is Philip." I heard causing me to laugh as I saw Edmund's look of embarrassment as he made an 'oh' at the horse.

"The Witch has demanded a meeting with Aslan. She's on her way here." Mr Beaver yelled causing Susan, Lucy and I to run up to Peter and Edmund with our stuff (we got the two arrows and Lucy's dagger when Peter and Edmund were fighting).

"What's going on?" I asked confused.

"The White Witch." Peter said causing all of me to freeze.

"Come on." Susan said she hoisted Lucy up on Philip behind Edmund and getting up on behind Peter. I was about to start running when Peter grabbed a hold of me and placed me so my back was resting on his arm and my legs dangling on the left side of the horse making me grip tightly onto Peter as we rode towards dad's camp.

~Le Mini Time Skip~

We made it back to the camp just in time to see the White Witch sitting on a throne being carried by four trolls making me cringe at the site of them.

"Jadis, the Queen of Narnia! Empress of the Lone Islands!" The dwarf yelled causing me to snort quietly.

"You have a traitor in your midst, Aslan." She said causing me to grip Edmund's shoulder making him look up at me but I held my gaze on the she-devil.

"His offence was not against you." Dad said calmly.

"Have you forgotten the law upon which Narnia was built?" She said causing dad to let out a growl.

"Do not cite the Deep Magic to me, Witch. I was there when it was written." Dad said.

"Then you'll remember well that every traitor belongs to me. His blood is my property." She said causing me to snort.

As soon as I snorted everyone looked at me as I released my grip on Edmund's shoulder and took a step forward.

"Do you have a problem, girl?" She asked sarcastically.

"He technically isn't a traitor, since you tricked him into believing that you were the good guy, into believing that he would become king! You tricked him which makes him not a traitor!" I yelled out as Peter pulled out his sword and pointed it at the she-devil herself making her chuckle.

"Try and take him then." Peter said.

"Do you really think that mere force will deny me my right... little King?" She-devil asked sarcastically making a feral growl to escape my lips making everyone to look at me in shock and some of the Narnian's to look in awe. "Aslan knows that unless I have blood, as the law demands, all of Narnia will be overturned and perish in fire and water. That boy will die on the Stone Table as is tradition." She-devil said making another feral snarl to rip out of the back of my throat.

"Over my dead body!" I said standing in front of Edmund making the she-devil to look at me with narrow eyes before she looked at dad.

"You dare not refuse me." She-devil said.

"Enough." Dad said looking at me, making me to stand up straight from my slightly crouched position and look at dad. "I shall talk with you and Nala alone." Dad said before turning around and walking back into his tent.

I waited for the she-devil to go but she made no movements in going, making me snarl at her. I could slightly feel my eyes changing colour making the she-devil gasp in shock, before smirking and walking to dad's tent. I was about to go forward but Peter gripped my wrist making me to turn around and look at him with narrowed eyes.

"Don't go." He whispered pleadingly making me shake my head as I ripped myself free from his grasp and look at Edmund.

"I will make sure your family is safe." I said to Peter as I nod my head at Edmund, before looking at them all individually but my gaze lingered on Peter's the longest before I swiftly turned around and walked into dad's tent with a determined look.

PETER'S POV

We all waited for the Nala, Aslan and the White Witch, to come out of the tent for the big news on weather Edmund dies or not. It seriously felt like years since they went in there but in reality it has only been an hour and a half, which made us even more nervous knowing what the end results are.

I looked over at the tent and stood up as I saw the White Witch come out of the tent looking a little to smug with Nala and Aslan behind them looking a little sad but they hide well so I didn't know what they really were feeling. I watched as the White Witch stood at her throne before looking at Nala and Aslan. They both looked at us with warm smiles but their smiles didn't reach their eyes.

"She has renounced her claim on the Son of Adam's blood." Nala said causing all of us to cheer.

I turned around and pulled my family into a hug, but pulled back when we heard the White Witch speak up.

"How do I know your promise will be kept?" She asked causing Nala to glare at her with her eyes turning an amber colour and Aslan roaring causing the Witch to sit down quickly on her throne.

We all started cheering as she left making everybody come and congratulate us, but mostly Edmund. I turned around and saw that Nala was looking down with her hair covering her face making me narrow my eyebrows as I saw this, I watched as Aslan nudged her with his head making her look up and I could slightly see water running down her face making me gasp quietly as I realized it wasn't water it was in fact tears.

I saw Aslan looking at me sadly, before he went into tent. But, not before whispering something into Nala's ear making her nod her head and look down at the ground once more before she started to walk away, making me frown and walk after her. After a while of walking after her, I decided here was a good spot to talk to her, so I ran and grabbed her arm and turned her around and faced me but she just jumped into me and buried her head in my chest and gripping my shirt tightly making me jump slightly but after a while I calmed down and started to rub my hands up and down her back in a soothing manner.

"It's going to be all right Nala." I said, causing her to sob louder making me look down at her and forced her to look at me. "What's wrong?" I asked softly.

The next thing seemed to happen in slow motion, time seemed to stop as she pulled me closer to her and slammed her lips onto mine making me gaps out in shock, after a few seconds of shock, I quickly closed my eyes and started to kiss her back, wrapping my arms around her waist and her's around my neck pulling us even closer (if possible).

After a while she pulled away and put her forehead against mine as we breathed heavily, getting out breath back. After we gained our breathing back, she gave me a sad smile before getting out of my grip and I saw a tear slip down her face before she ran off leaving me to stand there and look at the spot where she was just not to moments ago. I smiled at the thought of us kissing but immediately frowned as I wondered why she was crying and why she kissed me and ran away. After thinking it over a bit more I decided that I should just let her be by herself for a while before I go and check up on her.
