Favorite Authors: Julie Kagawa, Becca Fitzpatrick, Amy A. Bartol, Randi Cooley Wilson, Gena Showalter, Rachel Vincent, & C.C. Hunter

Bio: I'm such a weird person that I've convinced myself I might be an alien. I feel like I have a strong connection with the moon (I get excited when I see there's a full moon). Most of the time I'm either reading, listening to music, or daydreaming. I am obsessed completely with chocolate. If I wasn't such an introvert it would be easier for me to talk to people. I want to become a social worker and a novelist.

Can you explain what your book is all about?

Ne'Vaeh Lincoln discovers she is an Engima, a species mixed of fae and angel DNA. Unlike most Enigmas, Ne'Vaeh also has human DNA which makes her so special. And she's one of the last two of her kind. Her destiny is to end the upcoming war between the angels and fae. Unfortunately, the only one who can help her is Xavior, also known as The Lost Enigma. Ne'Vaeh needs to find him in order to fulfill her destiny. It's a pretty tough task to take on when almost every supernatural being wants you dead and the guy you want to be with barely acknowledges your existence.

Who is your target audience - and why?

My target audience is paranormal readers, being that my story is in the paranormal genre.

What is 'paranormal' about your story?

The main setting of my story is in the Fae Realm. Also, my story has a diversity of creatures in it. So far, I have introduced angels, faeries, witches, and shifters.

Does it contain other genre elements, if so which ones - and why?

It also contains adventure and romance. Adding romance and adventure makes a story more exciting and intriguing.

Tell us about your writing process - how do you get from story idea to a wattpad published story?

My favorite Paranomal books to read are about angels and faeries. At the moment, I could never decide which one I liked best. I thought 'why not combine the two?'. The idea seemed like an amazing thing to write about so I went for it. I knew I was going to write about a girl who had an important role in the supernatural world and a mysterious guy with so many secrets.

Did you encounter any challenges when writing, if so - how did you overcome them?

Challenges I've encountered are writers block and research . When I have writers block I would stop writing and do other things, such as listen to music, read a book, talk to people, or just write random things down to spark inspiration. I've learned to do research before you write or you will struggle with writing your story. Having background knowledge on things you plan on having in your story is very helpful.

You often hear that 'writing well' is the baseline for success. What does that mean for you?

I do believe an author must write well enough for the reader to understand what is being read. However, I don't believe there is a guideline to writing well. Every writer has their own unique writing style and that's what makes it successful.
