hey baes. i thought we would need this tonight....
vote and comment pls.

"Put your head on my shoulder." It starts out with a mere whisper into the crisp morning air of his bedroom. My eyelashes start to flutter, my body tensing just a little.

"Hold me in your arms, baby" The voice whispers again. The velvet softness is so sweet in the morning. I've heard the voice before, just never so soft.

"Squeeze me oh-so-tight. Show me that you love me too." Another sound is the ruffling of paper and a soft scratch of a pencil. My hands have scooped the pillow, holding it underneath my head while I lay lopsidedly in the navy sheets of his bed.

"Put your lips next to mine, dear. Won't you kiss me once, baby?" He sings so beautifully in the morning. He could be paired with the biggest of crowds and his voice would still be the most beautiful in the room.

"Just a kiss goodnight, maybe. You and I will fall in love" And we did. We fell so hard.

It was quiet for a moment, I stayed unmoving, letting him draw. I knew he was sitting at his desk chair, his feet propped up and the notepad was resting on his lap as he crouched over it. The door opened hastily and someone who I couldn't see sauntered in.

"Harry, why do your eyes look like that in the morning?" Meredith asks Harry with a teasing tone. I hear the hushed voices coming from the other side of the bedroom. My eyes are still resting shut but only my mind is awake.

The pillows and sheets underneath my touch stayed soft and cool throughout the night. The empty stop next to me whenever I slightly moved my foot indicated he was up.

"Can you shut the hell up? She's clearly trying to sleep." Harry retorts, snapping back at her just as quietly, trying not to wake me. He just doesn't know I'm already awake. Always so thoughtful.

"But Mum said to wake you guys up for breakfast and I walk in here and I see your ass drawing your sleeping girlfriend."

Um. What?

"Be quiet!" He shushes her down again as I make a slight movement in bed. My foot now rests above the covers while the rest of my body stays tucked in and warm.

"Oh please. You weren't quiet last night." Meredith giggles as Harry huffs out a breath. A gasp almost fell from my lips and it took everything in me not to jolt up in bed. Luckily, thanks to Harry, clothes were on my body and I didn't have to worry about being naked in front of anyone.

"For fucks sake." He murmurs and I can almost see him shaking his head in disappointment.

Were we really that loud last night? I hate that anyone heard.

"You're lucky Mum didn't hear, she might have had a heart attack." His sister continues on poking fun at her brother. Harry's moving around as if he's trying to occupy his time. I can hear the rolling of pencils across his desk, the shuffling of a sketch pad paper, and the turning of a spinning chair.

"I'm not talking to you about this. Let my girlfriend sleep in peace. We will be out in a second." He shoos her out of the room quietly and quickly, making sure I am not disturbed.

"Before or after you finish your drawing?" She pokes back at him, another gruff coming from his mouth.

"Get the fuck out, Mere." He snaps pointing toward his door and she leaves without another word.

Moments pass by as I hear the pencil sketch softly in the background. The only thing that can be heard besides that is the sound of our soft breathing.

Once the pencil and paper noises stopped I knew he was finished with his sketch. He pushes himself to stand and he makes his way over to the bed softly, the side next to me creaking as he slips back under the covers. His hands roam my back before pulling me flush against his warm chest.

I hum softly against him, waking up slowly for real this time. My fingers dance along his shirt to hold while I stay captured in his warmth.

"Good morning, my love." He whispers into the silence, my smile growing already so soon in the morning. I haven't even opened my eyes yet.

"Good morning." I respond only quieter, my face being buried in his chest. Waking up to the smell of him is something I could never trade anything for. He didn't smell like anything in particular other than his usual, soft, boyish smell.

"I love you." Was the first thing he was whispering in my ear, his hands toying with the ends of my hair. He was promising me it would be the first and last thing I heard from him every day I was sure of it.

"And I love you." I mumble into his chest. He breathes a laugh, squeezing me tighter and rolling himself underneath me so my entire body weight is on top of him.

"How did you sleep?" He asks, his hands stroking my hair as I lay flat on his sternum, my head just under his chin.

"Beautifully. Your mattress is very comfortable." I huff, pressing a kiss to his sternum and pushing myself up to look him in the eye with a tired smile.

"Mhm. Did I miss anything as you slept?" He grins, his hands falling swiftly from my hair to my face, holding my cheeks in between his large palms. He looked so peaceful this morning, his jawline was so soft and shaved, his bright green eyes were so light in the morning sun that shined through his windows.

"Just dreaming of you like always." A soft smile forming on my lips at the thought. The truth being that Harry filled my thoughts even while I slept at night.

"All good things I hope." He says dropping his chin down allowing his nose to touch mine.

"All good things, Sunshine." I murmur, bringing his thumb up to rub under my eyes, collecting the water that escaped them as I slept.

"We should probably go eat, Sunshine." I whisper, blinking my glassy eyes awake.

"No. I wanna stay here with you all morning." He grumbles, burying his head into my neck.

"You can have me any morning you want, but this is time you get to spend with your family." My mouth just above his ear, my 'adult decision' causes him to groan like a child.

"You really are the most selfless person ever aren't you?" His face plastered with a smirk as he brings his head up from neck.

"I'm a dream come true for you, aren't I?" I joke, my hand weaving in between his curly hair massaging his scalp.

"Yes. Yes you are." He replies as his eyes flutter closed with a hum "Kiss me good morning."

"H, I haven't brushed my teeth." I decline, attempting to use my shoulder to push me out of his hold.

"And I don't give a fuck." He announces, grabbing my hips to pull me back down to him.

"Harry, wait until I brush my teeth." I whine in resistance.

"No." He elongates his whine. "Let me give the girlfriend I love so much a kiss."

I peck his lips softly and tightly, pulling away quickly and running as fast as I can across his room to the bathroom. Only giggles left my lips as he caught me quickly, pulling me back against his chest before I could even reach the bathroom door.

"Not so quick to get away?" He teases, lifting my chin up with a curled finger.

"I try my best." I retaliate, not even attempting to get out of his hold.

"You are just a little deviant, aren't you?" He playfully jokes back at me.

"A deviant who is trying to brush her teeth. So let me go and I'll give you all the kisses in the world." I tell him lulling my head backwards to meet his chest

"In the world?" He questions sarcastically, his gaze fixed on his hold on me.

"In the world." I promise, pulling away until I step into his bathroom flicking on the light. He squeezes in behind me, taking his place next to me at the one single sink, both of us bumping shoulders playfully. I grab my toothbrush from my toiletries bag, him grabbing his from the drawer and squeezing out a bit of toothpaste on each of our brushes.

Our gazes were locked in the mirror as our arms moved back and forth to scrub our teeth clean. His elbow would hit me every once and awhile while I would giggle and shove him to the side knocking him out of view of the mirror.

We play our game for only two minutes until we take turns rinsing our mouths and I turn towards the door.

"Where are my kisses?" The voice behind me asks with a fake concerned tone.

"Over here by your dresser." I call from where I stand, pulling on some Nike shorts and Harry's oversized sweatshirt.

He makes his way over quickly and with a skip in his step, stopping directly in front of me to bring his face close to mine.

"Go crazy." He whispers as he leans in close waiting for me to kiss him.

I throw my head back in laughter, grabbing his face and slotting our lips together. I was quick with my motions and smart with my guidance of the kiss. It was sweet and playful but also deep and lustful. His hands remained on my hips, his chest pressing me to the dresser drawers. My lips kissed his lips, his cheeks, his neck. I could have kissed him anywhere and I think he would've been happy.

My hands latched around his neck, pulling him close enough so he would stay forever. His lips kissed my temple before pulling away and guiding me out of the bathroom.

"Gotta eat with my family. Save the rest of my kisses for later." He shrugs when I laugh, trotting after him and towards the kitchen.

"Finally! They woke up!" Jenna announces as she washes her hands by the sink.

"Mum, it's nine in the morning." Harry draws out as we make our way to the kitchen.

"Yes, yes. However, we have limited time together. Good morning Blake, how did you sleep dear?" She questions, removing her apron to toss into the washer.

"I slept great, thanks. How about you, Jenna?" I ask, attempting to slide into one of the barstools before I'm pulled by Harry to sit on his lap. His chin resting on my shoulder as I spoke to his mother, who didn't seem to care about my position on his lap.

"Aren't you so polite? I slept wonderfully, Sweetness. I have food for both of you. Pancakes over by the stove and Harry told me you like fruit? I have some bananas, blueberries, and strawberries like he suggested." A smirk forming on my face as she rambles pointing at the various fruits along the counter.

"What? You were eating them once." He said simply, turning his head to the side to place a small kiss behind my ear.

"You remembered?" I question, craning my neck to the side to meet his gaze.

"Of course. Now let's get food before Mum hounds us some more." He says pulling me out of his lap and towards the cupboard filled with dishes.

"Plate?" He asks, pulling two from the cupboard and handing one to me. I nod in response, grabbing the white plate from his grasp.

"This looks amazing. Thank you, Jenna."

"Eat a lot, dear. We have a full day ahead of us."

"Oh no, Mum, what do you have planned?" Harry says sternly, raising an expecting brow at Jenna.

"Nothing at all." She replies while grabbing the powder sugar out of the pantry. She holds it out towards Harry as he piled his plate with pancakes. "I didn't forget either."

Harry gratefully grabs the powdered sugar from his mum, shaking a bit on his pancakes "Mhm. Okay. We'll see."

"H baby, will you spoon some of the fruit onto my plate?" I ask behind him, his arm being closer to the fruits than mine as he cut up his pancakes.

"Are you not gonna eat the pancakes?" He turns back towards me with furrowed brows.

"I will I just don't eat much in the morning unless it's fruit." I answer, breakfast has never been my favorite meal unless consisting of coffee and fruit that is.

"M'kay. I just wanna make sure you aren't hungry." He grabs my plate, filling it up with the mixed fruits along the countertop.

"I'm not going hungry, babe." I reassure him, plopping some food in my mouth as we sit at the kitchen tabke.

"So Blake, tell me more about your medical stuff." Jenna vaguely asks, pushing a piece of pancake between her lips while I plop a strawberry between mine.

"It's a lot of studying, and super complex. The material is very detail oriented so I spend a lot of time memorizing things and stuff like that. When I used to work with patients a lot it just enhanced my experience."

"And how is patient care?"

"It's different from what people would expect. Most wouldn't think people are very unkind in situations like those but emotions are almost always involved so many people can be cruel. It takes a lot of self control if I'm being honest." I explain simply.

"It takes a lot of control to be around H for more than a couple hours. So I'm sure you are good at it." Meredith speaks up from the other side of the table with a grin pointing her fork at her brother.

"You are a little shit now-a-days." Harry interrupts, pointing his fork with a piece of pancake stabbed in it towards Meredith.

"And you're loud-"

"Alright! That's enough. I'm taking Blake to the Mandrids, so we are gonna get dressed and-"

"The Mandrid Gardens? Why the hell would you wanna go there?" Mere interrupts Harry mid sentence obviously doing it on purpose to push his buttons.

"Because unlike some people, I enjoy nature, art, and flowers." Harry says proudly before he starts dragging me towards his room to get ready.

"Oh, what a lovely idea! I do hope you two have the best time. It's a lovely place. I have to head to the office for some work, but I should be home in time for an early dinner. How does that sound?" Jenna informs us from behind the counter as she finishes unloading the dishwasher.

"Wonderful, Mum. We will see you then." Harry says cheerfully walking over to give Jenna a quick hug before we go.

"I'll see you soon my lovelies. Blake dear? Please keep him in check around the Gardens. They are fragile." She warns planting a small kiss on Harry's temple while I wait for him.

"Mum!" Harry defends himself.

"She isn't wrong, H." I say jokingly with raised brows.

"And Meredith. You go and clean that room of yours upstairs. It has gotten dreadful. You can head over to Vanessa's after you do that. Be back by three at the latest." Jenna shouts over to Mere who seems lost in something as she scrolls through her phone.

"Yes, Mum." She agrees without protest.

"Alright, I'm off." Jenna tells us as we round the corner to enter Harry's bedroom.

We dress in a playful silence, stealing seductive looks from across the room as we put on our real clothes for the day. I dress in jeans and a shirt, Harry doing the same. We make our way out of the house and slipping into the garage of the apartment complex.

"So what are the Mandrids?" I ask while buckling my seatbelt.

"A collection of floral gardens a few miles from here. It's a popular tourist site in the area. I find them peaceful, but if you don't want to go we don't have to." He says calmly while sticking the key in the ignition of one of Jenna's old cars that she graciously let us borrow for today.

"No, no. I want to go. I want to see some flowers." I say cheerfully with a grin turning my body towards him, placing my hand on top of his on the center console.

"We'll then let's go, my love." He says intertwining our fingers and backing out of the garage.

The drive wasn't far at all. Just a few miles from the center of town. When we pulled up to the venue his hand was already in mine, pulling me out of the car quickly like an excited little kid.

The ferns and flowers stood tall along the maze of greens. They poked out with color everywhere quickly. It was a public exhibit, Harry not paying anything as we began our walk. We walked mainly in silence, hand in hand, gazing at opposite sides of the track. The gravel beneath our feet was the only thing making any noise.

We were there for at least an hour before either of us spoke. It was kind of a place that didn't need to be filled with noise and laughter. Only silence in order to completely appreciate the serene beauty of nature. It was much like Malibu in an odd way. We didn't have to be constantly talking to be able to understand each other's feelings or what we were thinking at every given time. We sat, in this case stood, and listened to the sounds the earth gave off.

Whether we were looking at a plain of tulips and wildflowers or sitting on sand and looking at the ocean. Silence was a key factor in understanding why it was so beautiful.

I could feel his hand in mine and that was the only thing that occupied my mind other than the earth itself. We were strolling down a nature walk, completely and hopelessly in love. Never once doubting our feelings. The only thing I doubted was our ability to make it out of our situation alive.

Always on the run is what it felt like. Always running from our problems, trying to think of something else so we didn't have to face what was in front of us. What was inevitable about our lives.

Thinking about Jason and everything with the cartel always hit me so much harder every time the thought popped into my head. I was convinced it would drive me insane for a while.

The texts, the treats, the missions. It was all so much for someone who didn't want to be involved in the first place.

"Roses?" Harry hums, pulling me over to where the rose bushes were.

"So many colors." I murmur, leaning more into his side, my eyes glancing at everything.

"You're quiet today. Are you okay? Do you want to leave?" He asks, turning his head towards me as he tries to read my thoughts.

"No, not at all. I'm just thinking." I reply simply placing a small kiss on his cheek, returning my attention back to the flowers as we walked.

"Thinking about what?" He questions further, pulling me towards another gravel pathway.

"The texts, our lives, everything." I shrug, pulling myself closer into his side.

"Baby, the texts have stopped, no?" He stops instantly out of alarm, stopping in front of me, placing his hands on my shoulder.

"They have, for now at least. It's just all very unsettling." I reply to him before he takes his place back to my side.

"I understand completely. Tout ira bien à la fin."

"Will it? I have this bad feeling about everything." My amount of worry slipping through my tone.

"Nobody will hurt you, babe. No one will ever lay a finger on you." He reassures me with a small squeeze to my shoulder.

"And what about you, hm? What about people hurting you?" I ask him, not only worried about my safety but his as well knowing we could both potentially be in danger.

"I have been a liability since I was a teenager, babe. Things will turn out alright. We'll be alright."

"Yeah? You really think so?" I ask, turning my head to face him to be met with him already looking down at me.

"Yeah. Just try not to think about it for the duration of our time here. I wanna wake up and smell the roses." He tells me, grabbing my hand and running towards the next bush of flowers.

"Then smell them, Sunshine." I tell him proudly, watching as he squats down with his back to me.

"Take this." He returns his gaze back to me, holding a newly picked flower towards me.

"Harry- You aren't supposed to pick those." I tell him sternly looking down at the blue flower in from of me

"It's a blue geranium. I'm sure nobody will care. I want you to have it." He says, getting up from his knees gesturing for me to take it.

"H..."

"Blake... Just take the flower and give me a kiss as a thank you." He laughs at my reluctance to break the rules even if it is just a flower.

"Thank you." I tell him, going up on my tippy toes to peck his lips before taking the flower from his hand.

"Mhm, you're welcome. You know blue flowers represent hope and beauty right?" He asks, tugging me further down the path.

"I didn't, why a blue one though?" I question, partially knowing the answer but wanting to hear it from him.

"Well one, you're my Blue and two obviously you're beautiful" he huffs out a laugh "and three maybe I don't know... it will give you some hope that everything will be alright." He says simply, giving me a soft smile, grabbing the stem of the flower and tucking it behind my ear.

"There." He says with a smile.

I reach down to clasp his hand in mine, swinging them back and forth with each step.

"Wanna do something stupid?" I turn to him with a playful smirk. Maybe if I do something my mind will stop wandering.

"Well depen-"

"Race ya" I shout before I take off in a full sprint down the grassy hill. I have no idea if he is following me but to my better judgement I can assume he is.

"Blake!!" I hear Harry shout making it hard to run over my laughing. I keep running until the once steep hill is now flat. The various colors of each bush of flowers now blurred in my peripheral. I've only been running for a few seconds. Why hasn't Harry caught up yet because he sure runs more than me. I slow my pace down to a walk before turning around and seeing an empty field with no Harry in sight.

I don't have time to look around before my body is lifted off the ground and thrown on Harry's back.

"Stark Slut!! Put me down!" I yell over his shoulder as he grips onto the back of my thighs as we run through the garden.

"Not happening if you keep up with theStark Slut!!" He shouts over his shoulder to me. Closing my eyes I choose to enjoy Harry's quick pace with the wind blowing in my face, enjoying the peace.

Before too long he slows his pace into a slow walk sawing back and forth as I look around over his shoulder. We walk past looking at all the bushes filled with flowers before Harry starts walking through a small garden off the side.

"Harry! No don't" I start to scold as he gets too close to the flowers. They are fragile, H. Your mother already told you.

"Secret spot." He whispers.

"But the flowers don't step on them." I close my eyes, praying he doesn't crush the pretty things.

"I never do, baby, look." After hopping over the small garden my eyes go big at the tree in front of me. The most gorgeous tree with long white vines hanging off the branches, enclosing the trunk.

"It's a wisteria vine tree."

"Watch." He says simply before peeling the vines back to reveal the enclosed inside.

He pulls us both in, our bodies now hidden behind the long vines hanging around us. I look around at the freshly bloomed white flowers watching as they sway along with the wind.

Harry brings us both to the trunk, setting me down to lean against it while he sits across from me. His head tilted back to look at the scenery above us. We sit in silence, both of us taking in our surroundings in peace.

"Beautiful isn't it?" Harry breaks the silence causing me to turn my head back to his to meet his gaze.

I smile and nod in return before lunging forward to engulf him in a hug.

"Thank you for bringing me here." I kiss the skin of his cheek softly, my hands in his curls as I hug him tightly.

"Knew you'd like it." He ponders sweetly. "I love you."

"And I love you."

"Ready to go?" He asks, his hand dropping down to meet mine.

"Yes, carry me lover boy." I smile, closing my eyes and beaming up at him.

"Don't I deserve to be carried?" He scoffs, crossing his arms

"Nah." I tell him, lifting my hands up to signal for him to carry me.

"I guess because I love you." He shrugs, bending down to pick me back up.

He pulls me up to my feet before he crouches down for me to hop on his back. He starts carrying me back from the way we came as we pass by all the previous flowers. I rest my head on his back as we make our way back, his movements with each step quickly lulling me to sleep.

I'm woken up cradled against Harry's chest as he walks towards the car murmuring sweet words before unlocking the car. He easily slides me in by buckling my seat belt and sliding in the driver's seat next to me.

He was unaware that I had woken up due to my still closed eyes as he reached his hand over to place on my thigh whispering "Pulling out now." He continues his small commands letting me know when he was making any sort of turn even when he thought I was passed out in the passenger's seat.

The day passed by quickly and without much thought. We stayed with his sister, his mother came home early. We all sat around drinking wine at the kitchen island, Jen even let Mere have a glass.

I didn't say much about the duration of the time we all talked. I listened to them ramble and threw in a few words whenever needed, but my mind was somewhere else. I was worried but too scared to admit it. Harry seemed to notice about halfway through that I was being quieter than usual.

My hand held my glass as he scooted closer to me, his arm looping through mine as he gave me a questioning look as if to ask if I was okay. I only nodded in response. I learned a lot about Mere and Jenna though, their past and present. What was going on with them and their lives.

They seemed to have such laid back lives in comparison to Harry and I. I know Harry sacrificed relatively everything to keep them safe, but still it shocks me.

I drank three glasses of wine and I wasn't even tipsy. I was never a light weight. Jenna put the wine back in the cupboard after she had finished her third glass and was already tispy.

Harry didn't really drink, which I noticed. He engaged fully in the conversation. He hasn't been drinking as much as when I first knew him.

Harry had only taken time away from his mom and sister to steal me into his bedroom for a kiss and a talk.

"Baby..." He murmurs with a soft voice as he guides me to the edge of his bed and laying me down. "Why so sad today?"

"Sunshine, I told you I'm not sad." I whisper softly, letting his hands roam my body soothingly.

"But you are. Or you're thinking. You're definitely thinking. Still stressed about everything?" He taps my temple with his pointer finger, gently smiling down at me.

"It just keeps coming back in my head. Everything that is happening. Everything that is coming." His hands hike up the shirt over my stomach, his lips pressing kisses to the soft skin.

"I'll be by your side every minute of it." He murmurs into my stomach, his hands at the sides of my rib cage. His tongue slipping out onto my hot skin every so often.

"I just don't want this."

"I don't want it either, my love. I'm so fucking sorry this has happened to you. I know it's my fault, I know. I can't even begin to express how much this must put a strain on you."

"It's not your fault."

"It is. And I have to live with that fact everyday. So I wake up every morning, thankful you're still by my side, promising myself I'll be the reason you smile."

"I love you."

"I love you more than words can express."

"I'm sorry I've been so quiet, your family must be annoyed."

"Not annoyed, just worried. They love you. They know you need time to fully understand our situation. I come with a lot of baggage that I never really thought about before."

"You aren't a pain to be with, Harry. I hope you know that. Just because I'm stressed out or need time to drown myself in my thoughts doesn't mean it's your fault." "I chose this. I chose to stay with you."

"I'm so glad you did. I'd be lost without you."

"Mhm. Kiss please?" I stuck my head up closer to his.

He smiles, giving in and pressing his lips to mine. His hands cradle my face like they always do, holding me firmly against him.

"You wanna go out with me tonight? To dinner? Just us?" He asks as we pull away.

"Like a date?" We've never been on a date before.

"Mhm." He nods, grinning slowly. "I've never taken you on a proper date."

"I'd love to. I didn't really bring nice clothes, I-" I look around the room, my suitcase being over on the other side of the room.

"Babe, it's a small town in Nevada, no where here is super nice. We can go to a regular sit down if you want." He shrugs, sitting on his knees and looking at me.

"That sounds wonderful. When should I be ready?"

"An hour? Around 7?" He checks, cocking his head to the side.

"Sounds perfect. I'm excited." I smile, trying so hard to forget about my thoughts and push them aside.

"Alright, I'll go tell Mum. You start getting ready."

"M'kay." And a quick peck on the lips is what he left me with.

After he exits the room swiftly, I dig through my suitcase trying to find the one suitable piece of clothing to wear. I know I packed a sundress somewhere... There it is. I throw it one quickly, stripping myself of my other clothes before heading into the bathroom to fix myself up.

I didn't have much time, but hair and makeup wasn't that time consuming for me, so after I finished getting ready I found Harry waiting for me in a nice black button down and jeans. Always black.

A whistle left his lips as he stared.

"Mon Dieu. Tu es magnifique." He groans lowly, his walk sauntering as he moves towards me taking me by the hips.

"Tout à toi aussi." I smile seductively, pushing my pointer finger into his chest.

"Vous êtes tous à moi." He smiles, nipping his teeth on my earlobe before giving a few kisses to the underside of my jaw and pulling away.

"Come on, we have to go soon." He pulls me along out of his room, leading me into the living room where his mom and sister sat.

"Oh my. Blake dear you look marvelous." Jenna exclaims as I walk out of Harry's room at a sharp seven o'clock in a soft sundress that I had packed. Her hands were under her chin as he marveled at me, Meredith gave a smile with a nod of approval.

She's still drunk.

"Oh, thank you. I'm really sorry to be missing out on dinner..." I start but my words are cut off with a wave and a smile.

"No worries, Honey! Harry can steal you away for a nice night every once and awhile. We will always be here tomorrow and when you get back."

"Blue baby, you ready to go?" Harry asks from beside me, my gaze meeting him.

"I'm ready." I nod, taking his hand as he leads me to the garage.

"You look wonderfully beautiful, my darling." He whispers softly in my ear, my heart fluttering at his kind words.

He's always so kind.

"I'm so fucking single it hurts." We hear the voice of his younger sister groan from behind us, our heads snapping back towards her direction while Jenna's mouth falls agape.

"Meredith, your potty mouth has gotten out of control." She scolds her daughter who looks like she wants to die as she lays on the couch with her head thrown back.

"So has my life." She grumbles, her hands reaching up to cover her eyes. I have to stifle a laugh.

"We are leaving now. We will see you guys when we get back." Harry was quick to leave the situation before we got sucked into Meredith's dramatics.

"Don't stay out too late!" Jen calls, Harry already responding. "We won't."

Both of us pile in the car, him doing his usual routine of asking if I'm okay and ready. He tells me every turn once again, but now I've gotten used to him. I'm not as nervous anymore. I trust him.

The drive was quicker than I thought. He pulled into a town square, and a line of restaurants were surrounding us. He parallel parked smoothly, getting us out of the car and heading up the sidewalk.

"How does sushi sound?" He asks, looking down at me. My moon immediately lifts up so quickly. He remembered I loved sushi?

"Amazing! I haven't had it in forever." I beam at him, my eyes glistening as I take his hand and move a bit faster in the direction he is heading.

"I know. This is my favorite restaurant in town." He points, using our locked hands to show me the way.

We step inside the restaurant, Harry holding the door for me to step inside and guiding us up to the hostess table.

"Two for sushi, please." He politely asks, the lady smiling and grabbing two menus.

"Right, this way, please." She motions towards the seating area, taking us further inside the restaurant. The decorations on the interior side of the place are amazing. So intricate and beautiful. The glassware is amazing, the walls are covered in Japanese artwork. I can see why Harry loves this place, not because of the food necessarily but the art that surrounds it.

"Beautiful isn't it?" Harry catches me staring at the walls with a small smile.

I nod profusely, a grin on my face as I continue to look around.

"Here's your table and menus. Call me back when you are ready to order or need drinks." The waitress says, letting us sit down before she leaves us in private.

The dim lighting of the restaurant was nice, it wasn't very crowded, soft music played in the background.

"Do you want alcohol tonight?" Harry starts, shocking me a bit with his question.

"H, I'm underage. I already had wine." I laugh, looking back down at my menu.

"I'm not though. I'll get you anything you want." Powerful man. His black card won't be rejected and he knows it.

"I'll have sake, if they have it." I shrug, giving him a soft smile. "Are you going to drink tonight?" I ask, my eyes peering back up from my menu to meet him.

"No, I'm driving, remember? I'm staying completely sober."

"Oh, yes. I completely forgot." How could I forget? My mind is elsewhere today. "Do you know what you want?" I try to change the subject frantically.

"I'll get some salmon sashimi and some specialty rolls. Are you?" He sounded like he usually gets the same thing everytime. Same as me when I eat sushi.

"I'll just have the pineapple express roll. That's normally what I get."

It was quiet again. The waitress came back in the nic of time ready to take our orders.

"Alright what can I get for you guys tonight?" She starts off politely, turning to Harry first.

"Some sake would be great, and then a glass of water."

"And for your meal?" She writes down our drinks on her small notepad.

Harry orders without a stumble or another questioning look in my direction. The wait wasn't long at all. The waitress had brought our beverages and food relatively quickly. Both of us giggling every time we ate a piece of sushi for no reason. Our legs were intertwined under the table and our faces said all the words we needed to say.

Peace was what it was.

Peace.
