Ranfa did not care about if a Zodiac have an excuse. She did not want to hear them because she had deemed them all to be guilty. Guilty for knowing what God decided and guilty for not putting a stop to it. In her eyes, ignorance was just as bad so death was warranted. 

Within 2 years, she finished off Hawks and Mirko, and the Rat Zodiac. 

Hawks and Mirko didn't really put up a fight. They expected Ranfa to come for them. They chose to die to repay it all back to Ranfa and they wished for their willingness to die will put an end to the burning rage for revenge in Ranfa's heart. Reincarnation wasn't something they expect but they welcome it. They hope maybe in their next life, they could become a Hero without guilt on their shoulders. They wish to become Heroes who could save many people instead of a demon who couldn't save a single person. They chose to die in hopes of saving Ranfa in a symbolic sense. 

However, Ranfa couldn't care less of their virtuous death. Even though they chose to die to pay everything back to her, Ranfa was not merciful about finishing them off. She made sure they suffered before dying. She believed they were lying to her so she tried to deliver pain to them in hopes to peel off the virtuous image. She found nothing. After killing Mirko and Hawks, she didn't feel the fire go down. She felt nothing even as they told her their goodbye as they disintegrated before her.

And when she found the Rat Zodiac, Nezumi, she held nothing back as she cut the head of the rat off. The battle wasn't a harsh one because Ranfa was stronger. She didn't even bother to watch the Rat disintegrate before her. She just left. Ranfa did think it was weird for the Rat Zodiac to be defeated so easily even with a fight but she thought nothing of it because she's in a rush to kill off the Zodiacs.

The next one on her list was the Horse Zodiac. The most secretive member and the one who was the most distant from God and everyone else. Still, the Dragon and the Wolf was able to find her...

They're now at a rundown hut. She found a very beautiful lady with straight black hair taking care of a very ill man. The very beautiful lady was none other than the Horse Zodiac, Mari. All Zodiacs have a very long life and she wanted to use that life to take care of the ill. Her lover was ill with a terminal illness. She couldn't make a miracle happen but the least she could do was give her lover a comfortable life with every breath he could make. Mari may not look like it, but she's very strong physically. When she's not taking care of him in this tiny little hut for two, she would carry her lover and breathe the fresh air when the weather's nice. She would go out and collect herbs and beautiful flowers for him to look at. They needed no money. Just having one another was enough and she wanted to heal him as much as she could. It was a quiet life for a pair of lovers. They didn't have much but they had one another-

"I am not here to listen to your virtuous story. I'm here to kill you. As a Zodiac, you knew what God planned to do, and you ignored it. You only cared about yourself. That is your sin." Ranfa had a blade right up against the ill human. She looked down at the human in the futon, he wasn't afraid of her, a demon. "I have a lover when I was still human...why did your God chose for my story to end but yours get to continue?! I can accept it if the story came to an end because of destiny but if that destiny is written by someone beforehand, then it was never fate!" 

Mari panicked when she saw blood travel down her lover's neck. Ranfa and Eijirou found her at a bad time. As usual, she went out to look for herbs and she left her lover in the hut. Ranfa could smell traces of the demon by the human male's side and so she took him hostage. Ranfa knew she had the upper hand and she will not lose it! 

"I've already ran away here to avoid everything! What reason is there to look for me?!" Mari argued, "There was nothing I could have done! 

"Because you've turned a blind eye to me. If you can do that to me, I will return the favor tenfold!"

Eijirou closed his eyes as Ranfa killed the bedridden human. The knife dug deep into the neck, blood gushes and showered all over Ranfa's side.

Mari gasped and she started to rage. The aura she was releasing released a lot of steam and it blew the hut away and started to burn the rice field that she usually tend to. She had transformed into a demonic black horse with golden horns on either side of her head. Her red eyes cried tears of blood and she started to gallop and chase Ranfa with her might. 

"You've finally revealed your true form. You truly are ugly! No matter how beautiful you make yourself, you will always be a demon!" 

Eijirou stayed out of their fight. He looked at the corpse Ranfa just abandoned. He looked at it and he closed his eyes, "I'm so sorry..." He could have done something. He should have done something. He chose not to. "The least I can do for you is find a nice place to bury you. I'm sorry it had come to this....I'm truly sorry, but I have to."

Ranfa kept her distance from the Horse Zodiac. The Horse Zodiac's power in terms of strength and speed was not a joke. Even if she focused her aura onto her legs and arms, the Zodiac kept closing in the distance and tried to ram her and crush her. Ranfa watched the Horse Zodiac ram into a tree and the tree exploded upon mere touch. "I see...that's how it works." She grinned because this fight will be simpler than she had expected! 

Eijirou watched Ranfa run to pick up speed. He closed his eyes and he focused his Magic to his eyes. When he opened them again, he could see Ranfa had focused all of her Magic to her right hand. When Mari crashed into Ranfa's right hand, Ranfa  was pushed back but her right arm did not explode upon touch as expected. In fact, the opposite happened! The one who exploded was Mari! As the flesh explode, Ranfa smiled the whole time. It was as if she knew it was going to happen. 

"Aura Magic: Shield & Rebound." Ranfa looked down at the Horse Zodiac, "Looks like you haven't been fighting much over the years. You've just been living a normal life as if you were a human so you only know how to focus your Magic to cause an object to overflow with a touch. It's similar to how I use my aura. All I have to do is focus my aura to one place, shield and rebound your Magic and my aura back at you." Ranfa looked at part of the Horse Zodiac's face as it start to disintegrate on the ground. "Don't worry. I will bury you and your lover at two different places. That way, even in death, you won't find one another." 

"You are cruel. You call me a demon but aren't you doing things a demon would do?" Those were Mari's last words as she disappeared from this world. 

"Ranfa..." Eijirou looked at her back. The more he looked at her, the more she started to look unrecognizable to him. 

"...bury them together." Even though she said she will bury the two lovers to two different places, she went back on her words. 

Eijirou smiled a little and he went to do that for her. 'We've heard no news of Katsuki so far. I've never asked Ranfa about Katsuki over the years because I want Katsuki to live. He must have got his memories by now, right?" 

"Eijirou...it's time." She grinned, "I can finally go and kill Katsuki~!" 

She will do anything to do wrong to those who did her wrong. Even if it meant stepping over all morality.

So what has Katsuki been doing in 2 years? He's been to many places, seen many things, met many people, and learnt many things about Magic. 

Katsuki had never mentioned Eijirou or Yuuki over half of the year. Denki and Izuku were worried about him but they couldn't bring it up because the last time Denki brought them up, Katsuki made an explosion and nearly killed everyone within the vicinity.

Katsuki always asked to be alone whenever they're back at the Palace. He's been studying in the study room of the Palace when he's not travelling. Recently, he had been studying about the legend of God and the Zodiacs. 

"The realm of God, a place where Magic prevails over logic and reasons. Only a Zodiac can cast this Magic." 

And when he's not studying, he's training. He's grown stronger over the years. He's no longer held back by memories. He just wanted to do whatever he could. 

Shouto never told Michiyo about Ranfa and Yuuki being the same person. He only told her Yuuki's on an important mission. He couldn't bear to tell her the truth. 

Izuku had been helping in his own way. He stuck a message on every billboard he could find at a new place they travel to. He hoped for one of these notes to be read by Eijirou or Ranfa. He wanted to put a stop to them killing each other. Why does it have to end with Ranfa killing Katsuki when she killed off every Zodiac? He wanted to change their fate no matter what! A story shouldn't have to have a tragic ending when the character don't desire it! 

Katsuki decided it was time to leave. He needed to do this alone. Over time of his training, he trained his senses to the extreme. He could hear the wind telling him what's going on. He heard the wind tell him Ranfa and Eijirou were coming. He needed to leave. He couldn't let Ranfa and Eijirou bring the others into their fight. He chose to do this alone.

"Katsuki-san." Michiyo was holding her baby boy in her arms. She wanted to talk to Katsuki before he left. 

"Michiyo, what do you want?" 

"I just...I just have a bad feeling. Recently I've been having a strange dream. I keep seeing you." 

"Huh? You're not cheating on your husband, are you? Not that I blame you." 

"...just a feeling something bad will happen. Not to me, but..." She wanted to say she had a bad feeling something will happen to him but she didn't know how to voice it. After all, she kept seeing him dying in her dreams.

Katsuki looked at her baby and he poked the cheek of the baby. "Heh, looks like your half and half husband." 

Michiyo smiled, "He is Shouto's child after all. Katsuki, what are you thinking about?" 

"I'm thinking about doing what is right." 

"I see." Michiyo decided not to tell Katsuki about the bad feeling she had from her dreams. Katsuki had already decided on his path after all. "Knowing you did not kill my sister is enough for me. Katsuki, I want you to live. So please...don't die." 

"I have no intentions of dying before you, Michiyo. So you better live on and be happy."

"When Yuuki-san and Eijirou-san comes back from their mission, I wish we can all enjoy snacks again. I want them to see my baby." 

"I do too. Michiyo, even if I do die, I will rescue everyone who needs rescuing before I fucking kick the bucket, okay?" 

"Huh? Katsuki, don't say that after you promised me you won't die before me!" 

"Heh. It's just in case. After all, in this world, we are not the ones writing our stories. In case something happens beyond our control, I can promise you this: I won't die without a fight." 

"Katsuki..." 

"I've never lied to you. I'm saying this as your former knight and as your friend."

"Can I...can I wait for you to come back?" 

Katsuki smiled and he looked at her one last time, "You know? I wish those words were said by a certain idiot whose face and voice look like you." 

Michiyo giggled and she waved goodbye to him. Slowly, tears started to flow. "Katsuki..." 

She wished she could have stopped him from leaving. Why did he have to go? What were the others not telling her? Why was she kept out of the darkness?

"Ranfa, maybe it's enough." Eijirou hoped for her to stop. "Hawks and Mirko said they wished their deaths will quench the fire in you. Why won't you let it stop?" Eijirou held her close to him, "Won't you live with me instead? We can go to a place no one will ever disturb us. W-we can start a new beginning, a new life." She's so precious to him. Even though she murdered others in cold blood, he loved her regardless. No matter how dirty with sins she was, he loved her. 

"Eijirou, I do want to live with you and start again with you..." 

"Ranfa-" Eijirou felt an impact of aura enter his body from a punch to the gut from her. 

"I've been wronged and I am looking for justice myself. Just one more person. Just one more! After that, I will come back to you and live with you." She let him fall before her, "It's okay, I've already killed a lot of people. Adding one more shouldn't be a problem to you. After all, you will still hold me no matter how wrong of a path I am walking." 

"Ranfa...!" 

"I love you, Eijirou. I'll see you after I kill Katsuki." 

The obsession with revenge won't stop. How will the story end?
