"Yuuki, Eijirou..." Katsuki couldn't believe what he was hearing from the tiger and the ox zodiac. Yuuki and Eijirou were not really his allies? "Yuuki-" 

Ranfa shot her aura into Katsuki! 

Katsuki fell back. Within what felt like a slow motion, he became an invisible audience to a theater of her memories. Did Ranfa want him to see this?

Ranfa tried her best to stop the uproar on Meiun Island. The non-magic users were revolting. The Magic Users were trying to kill Michiyo to end a calamity in the future. Everyone was going mad with their own reasons. Ranfa tried to stop everyone from waging war within Meiun Island. The peaceful island that always seemed like a paradise...how could it suddenly turn into hell all in one day? She didn't want to believe it.

She needed to escape with Michiyo; home doesn't have to be a place. Home could be anywhere as long as there were people waiting for your return. If she died here, Michiyo will lose her home. And if Michiyo died, Ranfa will lose her home. She had to find Michiyo and escape what was supposed to be heaven.

"Katsuki!" She managed to find Katsuki on his own!

"Katsuki, we need to find Michiyo! Come on!" She tried to drag Katsuki with her but he refused to go. "Katsuki-"

She felt a sharp pain enter her abdomen. She looked down and she could see she had been stabbed. Why? Why did Katsuki stab her? When she looked at Katsuki, she saw a face twisted like a demon. Katsuki grinned wildly and he messily pulled his dagger back. Blood splattered to the ground. Ranfa staggered back, putting pressure against the new wound. Katsuki had plunged the dagger pretty deep, she couldn't stop the bleeding!

"Katsuki?!" Eijirou arrived and he saw Katsuki stab Ranfa. Many questions flew around crazily! Why? Why did Katsuki stab Ranfa?!

Katsuki watched Ranfa fall to the ground, he was curious; like a kid would when they have killed a spider.

Ranfa looked at him even though she's down on the ground. "Why...?"

Katsuki never said a thing.

Ranfa grabbed his ankle with a shaking grip. "Why...Katsuki?!"

Katsuki looked down as if her life was the equivalent of grass; it's there but it's insignificant because it's abundant. Katsuki shook her off and he lift his foot with the intent to stomp her to death. 

"Katsuki!!!" Eijirou flew towards Katsuki. Katsuki dodged the attacks and then he escaped. Eijirou wanted to chase Katsuki down and demand an answer but when he heard Ranfa call out to him, he remembered he needed to save her first. He dropped to the ground and he held Ranfa to him. "Ranfa! Hang in there!"

She felt so cold. Even though he hugged her to him to keep her warm, she was losing her own warmth. Just his warmth wasn't enough. 

"Eijirou, am I going to die?" 

"No! I won't let you die! I've promised to protect you! I'm your Hero! I won't let you die!" He picked her up, trying his best to ignore the dripping of blood. What should he do? What could he do?! 

"I don't want to die..." A trail of tears left her, "I can't...die...here..." Her hand fell. She had ceased to live. 

"Ranfa! Ranfa, no! Ranfa!" He cried as he held her. He didn't want to believe the reality before him. It had to be a mistake! It had to be! 

He decided to do something about it. 

How many years had went by since he last saw God? He begged God to save Ranfa. For the first time in his life, he got down on his knees and he begged God to bring Ranfa back. He begged God for his little blue flower back. 

"Please! Please don't take her away from me! Please!" 

"I cannot do that." God said to him, "I have decided the story to be written this way. Are you saying my story is wrong?" 

"Why? Why are you writing the story this way?! What's the point of you being God if the story you are writing isn't making anyone happy?!" 

"Eijirou, I made this world. I can very much do what I want with it. If I want it to become a story ending in tragedy, I can will it to do so. Humans will eventually write itself to tragedy. I merely helped it speed up." 

"That's not fair! What did humans do to deserve you mess with them like this?!" 

God smirked, "I wanted to prove a point. Every human is capable of killing. Humans are not perfect. Given the opportunity and the timing, they are capable of becoming monsters themselves. Look at that." God showed Eijirou what was going on in the human world. Blue fire engulfed the whole of Meiun Island. 

"No...no! No! No! It's not meant to become this way! It's one thing if humans make their own destructions, but if you're speeding it up on purpose to watch the world burn, you're no God! You are a monster! You are a demon wearing the title of 'God'!" Eijirou's understandably angry. He placed his dead lover to the ground and he looked at God with hot angry tears flowing down his eyes, "You are no God of mine!" 

"Do you know what you are saying?!" God was angry because the dragon zodiac was saying such things to him! "I will give you another chance to think about what you have said. This conversation never happened! Remove that human from my realm this instance!" God disappeared. He probably went to see the rat zodiac. 

Eijirou fell to his knees and he cried over the loss of his lover. He loved her, he loved her so much! Why was it that he couldn't protect her? He's her hero, wasn't he? 

"Eijirou..." 

Eijirou looked back to see the dog zodiac. He's an anthropomorphic shiba inu, very popular with children. He wore a purple kimono with cranes as the design. "Ranfa-san..."  He knew Ranfa because he always visit Eijirou during the new year. He liked the pink haired girl too because Ranfa always gave him belly rubs, much to Eijirou's annoyance.

"Inugami, she's gone. She's really gone...!" 

Inugami felt so bad for Eijirou. He wished to do something for Eijirou; when he was just a puppy, Eijirou saved him from drowning when a great flood that killed millions of people occurred. He was supposed to die but Eijirou changed his fate. Inugami wanted to repay the dragon this whole time. Perhaps this was the very moment for it. The demon dog got down on his knees and he held Ranfa's freezing cold hand. 

"Inugami?"

"Eijirou, you still remember that time when I was a puppy? You saved me from a flood that should have taken my life?" 

"I-I remember. Why are you bringing that up now?" 

"In exchange of my life...if I bring Ranfa-san back to you right now, will it even things out?" 

Eijirou watched as the dog zodiac slowly disintegrate The fragmented signs of life went into Ranfa's heart. "Inugami, no! If you do that, you will-!"

"I know." 

"I rescued you but you're going to end yourself?! Why?!" 

"I told you this whole time, haven't I? I wanted to repay you this whole time. I couldn't think of what to do for you and you told me not think about it...but I think this is it." 

"No! I-I can't make you do such a thing even if I want her back! Inugami, stop!" 

The dog demon did not stop. He was determined on bringing back Eijirou's lover. "Even though she will come back as the dog zodiac...but I am sure this is okay. I hope you two will live happily as demons." 

"Inugami...!" 

The dog smiled at him, "Can you do one last thing for me?" 

Eijirou rubbed his tears away and he asked what he could do for his dying friend. This was the last time. 

"Can you pat my head and call me a good boy? I saw humans do this with their pet dogs. I wanted to see what it feels like." 

What a stupid request. Even so...

Eijirou did it anyway, "Good boy. You did good." He didn't want his friend to leave this world remembering him crying and so he smiled for his friend. He was certain he looked ridiculous right now but he's certain Inugami did not mind that.

The dog demon smiled and he seemed very happy with the extra 'You did good'. "What's this? It feels better than I had imagined." The dog zodiac disappeared and the fragments of his life all went into Ranfa. 

Eijirou watched Ranfa's hair go from cherry blossom pink to snow white. Ranfa's eyes shot opened and she was lifted up by a white colored aura that transitioned in color from pink to white. Wolf like ears grew on top of her head and she now have a white tail. She looked like a olf and human hybrid. Her feet touched the floor and she looked at Eijirou before looking at her own hand. "Inugami..." 

"Ranfa..." 

Ranfa looked sad at first. She closed her hand into a balled fist. She closed her eyes remembering everything when she was a human. She lived, she died, and now she's back again. She will not let the previous dog zodiac die in vain! This life he had given her...she will use that new life to exact revenge on everyone! "The one responsible for everything. You know who it is, right?" 

"What are you going to do?"

...

God looked up from the ground. He was bleeding from the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and from all the cuts Ranfa had made upon God. It wasn't a long battle at all, Ranfa made God look like a joke. A woman's anger was like an unstoppable storm! 

Ranfa let the fire from her anger rage within her Magic. God wasn't even a match for her wrath. 

"You...! The story isn't supposed to be like this...!" God couldn't accept defeat. He didn't want to die just like that. He's supposed to be the most magnificent being in the world! To be defeated by a dead person who came back to life as a demon was laughable! 

"You wrote our stories like this. Don't act so surprised when we revolt!" Ranfa walked over to God and looked down at him. In her vision, she saw grass; always there standing still with insignificance. She started to stomp on it. In her point of view, she couldn't hear blood splattering, she couldn't hear God telling her to stop. She couldn't hear the sound of bones breaking. All she could see was grass getting crushed under her feet and the sound of grass being pushed into the soil; you don't feel guilty over stepping on something that doesn't make a sound, right? 

Eijirou watched Ranfa slowly kill God. He thought it was cruel to kick down someone while they're down but he saw this coming; if God didn't do what he did, they wouldn't need to revolt. The fact God did these things and then act so surprised when people came back for revenge made Eijirou feel tired from it all. He looked away and closed his eyes, ignoring what his lover was doing. He's willing to look aside and let her do whatever she wished; if Ranfa willed to go against everyone and everything in the world, he will be by her side. 

"Hah..." 

"Shall we go?" He asked, offering his hand to her. 

"Where is Katsuki?" 

"Katsuki must have escaped Meiun Island. Are you going to kill him?" 

When they looked at Katsuki from the boat he was escaping from, the two zodiacs could see Katsuki was suffering from amnesia. 

Ranfa had an idea. "Eijirou, will you do this with me?" 

"What do you wish to do?" 

"We're going to use Katsuki to fix everything. We'll kill the remaining Zodiacs, make sure Michiyo lives on, make sure the people of Meiun Island made to go into the Tower of Wishes are brought back to life, protect the Magic Users from the non magic users, and then I will kill Katsuki when it's all done. The fact I died hasn't changed."  

Looking at her, he felt like he was looking at another demon instead of his Ranfa. Who was this person obsessing over revenge? When she woke up, she was acting as if her coming back was a given...she didn't even ask a single thing about him.

Even so...

"I'll follow you even if your decision leads you to hell." Eijirou was willing to follow her no matter what. He's willing to do anything for her, even if her wish was selfish and laced with nothing but vengeance. Even if she doesn't see him anymore, even if she uses him as a piece to her plan...it doesn't matter as long as he could continue to protect her. He loved her. He loved her so much. 

"I am Yuuki from now on. Just a harmless demon looking for fun and adventure. Do not call me Ranfa until I am done with everything, okay?" 

Everything they did together as a team was a lie, it was all a plan for Ranfa to finish what she planned to do. Everything she did was for her little twin's safety. Until she had fulfilled everything, she planned to continue fight alongside Katsuki and get along with him.

"Everything was a lie...?" The moment Katsuki's back hit the floor, Ranfa had her back turned. 

At the same time, the tiger demon lost his other eye because it exploded on its own?! Ranfa did something and no one saw it coming! 

"Aura Magic: Inevitability." When Tora came at her before, she took his eye out and laced her aura into his other eye. The aura will cause the other eye to explode after a few minutes. "It's inevitable your eye will explode because of me." Ranfa walked over to Eijirou and he picked her up like a princess. "Shouto! When Katsuki next wakes up, tell him the next time I see him, it will be his last! I have the zodiacs to take care of before I take care of him!" 

"Ranfa...!" 

"...take care of Michiyo. I'll take care of these two." 

Eijirou's back grew a pair of wings and he took Ranfa with him. He looked over his shoulder one last time at Katsuki, "I'm sorry, Katsuki..." 

The zodiacs will find another place to fight. 

The next chapter will be a chapter where demons are fighting one another. What will the humans do? What will Katsuki do now that he's alone?
