"Come on... one game of beer pong?" Jordan asked Ruby who was slumped into the outdoor sofa. Ruby shook her head, "I didn't even want to be here... I only came because you Montgomerys kept nagging me to." She replied.

Ruby had been really down, with Rafael being gone... and suddenly she had zero recollection of Hope or Landon's existence which left her feeling this extra emptiness inside.

"Come on... I dragged you here to try and cheer you up." Jordan said, slumping into the spot beside her. "If we don't play beer pong.. do you at least want to go for a swim?" He asked, before his eyes motioned towards the pool. Ruby offered a small smile before she answered, "Fine, Let's go swimming." Moments later, a tipsy Ruby and Jordan were in the pool, wearing their swimwear and splashing eachother while pretending to be Water benders.

Meanwhile Lizzie was taking a sip of her drink. She lowered the cup, her face meeting Monica's. "Hello, my love." Monica said with a slight smirk on her lips. "You are so drunk." Lizzie giggled, before Monica initiated a kiss. Lizzie kissed the taller blonde back, before Monica pulled away keeping a dreamy gaze on Lizzie.

"What are you staring at?" Lizzie giggled, before Monica rolled her eyes playfully, "You— I just... have a beautiful girlfriend... I love you!" She chirped, as Lizzie laughed back in response. "I love you too, my drunken idiot."

A pop song, familiar to everyone began to blare through the speakers, which only caused more excitement. The vampire suddenly took the Saltzman's hands. "Come on! Let's dance!" She said, completely full of energy. Lizzie laughed as she danced along.

"Woo!! I'm a water bender bitches!" Jordan announced, as he splashed Ruby violently. After a moment the girl coughed up a heap of water before her eyes flickered a hint of evil at the witch. "I am so dead.." The Luna witch blurted before Ruby swam after him, as Jordan squeaked while he tried to swim away from her.

Suddenly Hope, who was unfamiliar to everyone, tried to race through the crowd and over to Monica and Lizzie. The girls had been dancing, and Lizzie dipped Monica in her arms, before lifting her back up. Their lips connected, and they were completely unaware of the tribrid's presence.

As there were students everywhere, Hope accidentally bumped Monica and Lizzie. Monica and Lizzie's hands separated, and Monica fell into the pool, practically falling onto Ruby and Jordan. "Oww.." Ruby grumbled, as Jordan tried to help his drunk sister out of the pool, not wanting her to drown.

Lizzie's angry eyes met Hope's. "What the hell do you think you're doing?!" She snapped, annoyed not only by the fact that she'd interrupted her and Monica, but that she'd caused her girlfriend to fall into the pool. "Better question... who are you??" She added.

Hope looked at the unfamiliarity written all over Lizzie's face, before she glanced at Josie, Ruby and Jordan who all didn't recognise her. The Mikealson sighed, "It's a long story."

"This is all very confusing..." Alaric trailed off, as he faced Hope. Josie, Lizzie and a drenched Ruby, Jordan and Monica, all stood around the duo, trying to make sense of this situation. "Because you're drunk." Hope stated. "And I really need you to focus." She reminded him.

"First things first... I'm only buzzed. Secondly, you haven't told any of us why we should believe anything that you said, Miss... Hope, right?" Alaric asked, not being very cooperative at all much to Hope's dismay. "Mikaelson, actually. Klaus's daughter." Hope replied.

"Vampires can't procreate!" Monica drunkly reminded them, before leaning her head on Lizzie's shoulder. "But we sure love to try." She giggles, as Lizzie's face turned completely red. The Saltzman pushed her drunk girlfriend off of her, and towards Jordan before she asked, "Anyone else thinking that she's a monster?"

"I know why you'd think that, because I know that Malivore monsters exits." Hope pointed out before she added, "I know that the reason why you're celebrating is because you just defeated them." Everyone looked at eachother, with expressions of surprise.

"I also know that you're a witch... so are you and you." Hope said as she pointed between Lizzie, Josie and Jordan. "Or psychic." Jordan suggested as he narrowed his eyes at her. "She's totally psychic." Ruby suggested in a loud whisper.

Hope faced her girlfriend. "You're a werewolf and a vampire." She said as Ruby's expression morphed instantly into surprise. "Totally psychic—" She agreed with Jordan.

Hope turned her head to face Josie and Jordan. "I need your help." She declared. "Do you remember that spell Jordan did to get rid of the oni? Which I know about, clearly." Hope pointed out. Alaric spoke up, "Listen, we don't doubt what you know. We just doubt how you know it."

"I believe you." Jordan decided as Ruby and Monica both looked at the raven haired boy with surprise. "I can help you." Jordan said, deciding to put trust into this girl who seemed to be a stranger to them.

Time passed, and everyone remembered about the existence of Hope and Landon.

Ruby rushed forward and threw her arms around Hope. The tribrid hugged her back tightly, "And you didn't trust me." The tribrid hummed in a teasing way. "I'm sorry." Ruby said quickly as Hope chuckled, "No it's okay, I understand."

Ruby pulled away from Hope, "Hope, where's Landon?" She asked. Hope looked away from Ruby for a moment, as she struggled to meet her eyes. "Hope?" Ruby asked, as everyone silently looked to Hope, as they were all now just as curious.

The Mikealson's eyes finally reached Ruby's. "A lot happened while we were in the prison world." She began to explain as tears filled her eyes.

"This is just great.." Landon said awkwardly, as he and Hope trudged along a quiet corridor, looking for the Malivore portal. "If Ruby were here, there wouldn't be so much awkward silence." He realised.

Landon and Hope were friends, but they weren't all that close.

"I hope she doesn't get the wrong idea.." Hope sighed, stopping once they could see the portal. "What do you mean?" Landon asked the Mikealson. "Well.. we dated once.." The tribrid awkwardly reminded him. "I hope she doesn't think we're in this prison world, boinking." She muttered.

Landon frowned, "Ruby wouldn't think that.. I don't even think that would cross her mind." He replied. Hope shook her head, "Considering how I made out with her and then suddenly dated you, I wouldn't blame her for worrying." She said with an obviously guilty tone.

"Hope.." Landon sighed, as he reached out to place a hand on her shoulder. "Ruby loves you, so much. She would never think that you'd just.. sibling swap, again." He said, with a chuckle.

"I love her too.." Hope admitted, her eyes averting away from Landon's for a moment. "Then there's nothing to worry about!" The Kirby chirped. Hope smiled back weakly, before she turned back to the portal. "Okay, let's get this over with."

"We defeated Malivore... but with a price." Hope began nervously. "I died... I'm now a fully activated tribrid." She said as her voice was beginning to tremble. "But Landon... he died too, using his last mortal life."

"I'm so sorry, Ruby." She choked out, as the pinkette was completely frozen in shock. "No... no... no no.." She shook her head, before she burst into tears. Hope stepped forward and practically caught her girlfriend in her arms.

Hope lead Ruby to her dorm, where a jar full of ashes sat on Ruby's nightstand. "I managed to save part of Landon." She said as Ruby walked over to the sealed jar. As the Waithe stared at the jar, reality sunk in that Landon was really dead. And for real this time.

"Baby..?" Ruby asked. "Mhm?" Hope answered as she placed an arm around Ruby. "Can I... have a moment alone?" Ruby managed to ask, as her voice sounded so small. Hope nodded and placed a kiss on Ruby's forehead before she turned around to leave.

Once the door was closed, Ruby picked up the jar, and clutched it against her chest as she held it in her arms. The Waithe let a sob escape her lips, as she held the remains of Landon tightly. "This can't be happening... I've lost both of my... both of my brothers, my family.." The hybrid cried to herself.

Memories filled her mind.. like one of the nights she spent outside, just stargazing with her twin... or when the trio first came to the school, and everyone seemed to insist on throwing Landon out.. which eventually lead to the time they ran away from the school..

But no matter how often the trio had separated, they would always reunite again... and again...

But this time it was different... as three became one, permanently. And Ruby didn't know, how she was supposed to live without them.

After what felt like hours, the hybrid finally let go of the jar. She looked up but this time, her eyes that were usually full of love and joy... were empty.

And her emotions and feelings?

They were completely gone.
