A/N: no one realised that at the start of the last chapter when Death was speaking, death was talking about killing levy!

Chapter Three
****

Oh dearie me!

So far the story has been nothing but misery and misfortune. Don't you agree mortal? Now that you've met the two most crucial characters to this tragedy. I'm going to prattle a little about the Creator. I hope you have realised that she created... Well... You!

She also is my creator. She is, unfortunately, my mistress. I am expected to obey her. Although I've always considered myself a rebel. I am quite familiar with the colloquial language you youngsters use these days.

"Whassup bro!" That feels wrong to say. It leaves shivers down my spine. How revolting! Is it so difficult to use normal English terminology?

Ah, now back to Mavis.

How do I describe her?

Magnificent. Marvellous. Magnanimous.

The day I was created was the day I met Mavis. It was morning of what would now be called the month of May on a day now called Monday. I recall being blinded by the light...

I got up groggily. I felt muzzy and my thoughts were all muddled. My eyes were squinted as the sun shone brilliantly in the turquoise heavens.

Where was I?

"Hello." I heard a voice say. I didn't know what to say or how to respond. Although the voice sounded melodic. I pivoted around to see a goddess.

"Mah-Maharani!" I threw myself onto the floor and grovelled at her feet. (Okay I'm messing with you. I just prostrated)

"Then you are my Maharaja." She giggled into her delicate hand as I slowly raised my head. "Raise your head and stand." I pushed myself up and took a long look at her.

"They say Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty is the most beautiful women. What lies have I been told!" I leaned forward to place a kiss on her hand. (Not a lot of lies since I was created that day)

She carried on giggling quietly and shyly.

"If you stood in front of a mirror with two roses. One would say you would be looking at the three most breathtaking things in the universe. That is incorrect. Since those two roses would wither for they cannot apprehend your perfection."

"Oh stop it!" She contained her giggles as he pulled back her hand. "You need a name."

"A name? Name me whatever you desire Madame. I don't mind."

I should really get to the part were I delineate her. Back then I would of described myself as as poet who'd of been speechless and wordless, for she was indescribable.

Her hair, pure thin gold streamed down in waves coating her whole back side. Her emerald green eyes twinkled in the morning light. She had to small pale white wings flapping at the side of her head. It made her look even cuter. Her skin was fair and pale making her look pure and innocent. She wore a frilly pink layered robe held up by ruby red ribbons. Around her were chest three triangular pieces with blue diamonds plastered on to them. She wore a small amethysts ring around her ring finger. She wore mahogany coloured laced sandals and a bracelet hung around her ankle.

"Zeira." She finally said. "A fitting name for a young sweet girl like you."

(A/N: whatcha gonna do about that!?Deaths a girl!. Booyaa! XD And to all those who don't know. Zeira is Mavis' friend from her old guild from that spinoff manga: Fairytail Zero)

"I am more than grateful Madame."

"Zeira, you are now my servant. I will give you one task." She said solemnly. She stood up and walked slowly towards me. She grabbed my hands and gave me a look of malice.

"You are to reap every soul of every mortal down on earth. In the beginning let them live for millennia. But as time goes on, shorten their life spam till it's only decades."

"As you wish Milady. My metamorphosis to from a simple being to reaper of souls would take a great deal of energy and time. But for you I would do anything." I bowed down in respect.

"You are now Death."

That's how I met her. She's quite a handful. How arrogant of me to only talk about myself. But alas, I am quite a narcissist.

Mavis was my everything. I ran around like her little dog and did as I was told. My only regret. If only I knew...

I cannot deny that there was a time that I was completely infatuated with her. But I saw something once, that I wish I hadn't. Something that made me fear her. It changed my opinion of her completely...

She had a darkness in her heart that was incurable.

A/N: that's the chapter. I hope you enjoyed it. Some mavisXzeira. ;)

Maharaja means king and maharani means queen in Urdu. I think.
