"Turn right in two kilometers" monotonous voice of GPS said.

- Maybe give me more realistic directions? - Lewis murmured, seeing that he drove into national park territory. He soon had to stop his van, the road he was driving ended with a sign "authorized personnel only".

Man took his phone to his hand, but there was no signal in the van. He got out of his vehicle and took few steps forward, trying to get the signal back.

He finally got the signal and opened up maps. He found an alternative way to get out of the national park and drive straight to the city.

He slip his phone into his pocket and turned around to enter his van. He stopped, looking with wide eyes at the thing in front of him.

Something humongous was holding his van, as if it was a mere toy. Creature was rotating vehicle in its limbs, seemed to be curious about it. Soon, it started to spin one of the wheels, seemingly to find a great fun in it, as it chirped amusingly.

- What the hell?! - Lewis screamed in horror. Hearing this, creature turned its gaze to man. Although he couldn't see the body of it, its red, shiny eyes gave him goosebumps.

Creature was staring at Lewis for another while, then it leaped and began to run. And it still was holding the van.

- What? Oh, no no no no no no! Come back! I need to deliver packages! - Lewis shouted and started to chase after that creature.

He knew it was dumb of him to risk his life, but if he doesn't deliver packages on the time, he will be fired. He couldn't afford to lose it, finding a new job wasn't that easy and he had a pregnant girlfriend to take care of. So monster or not, he won't lose his job because of it.

As he was following it, he noticed that its footprints weren't like of any animal he had seen. They looked like gigantic letter "V". What was that creature?

He soon lost sight of it, but since it was causing a lot of damage while it was running, Lewis was pretty sure that he knows where it's going.

After a pretty exhausting trekking through the woods, Lewis stumbled upon park rangers' headquarter.

Relieved he didn't get lost, he walked up to the door and was about to knock on it. But then he wondered, what will he tell? Nobody was going to believe him that there's a monster roaming through the park. Oh welp, he might tell it was a bear or something.

He knocked on the door and waited. Soon, he heard a shuffle and a sound of unlocking. Door swung open and a man in his sixties appeared to Lewis's eyes.

- What are you doing here so late lad? The park is closed y'know - he murmured grumpily.

- I know, I was driving to the city and I got lost... Can we talk about it? - man suggested timidly.

Park ranger moved aside and gestured for Lewis to go inside. Then he led his guest to the kitchen, where he began to prepare something hot to drink.

- What's your name kid? - park ranger asked.

- I'm Lewis and I'm not a kid - man replied.

- You're three times younger than me, you're a kid to me - man said - I'm Ned and I'm the main caretaker of this park - he introduced himself and poured over the tea. He gave one mug to Lewis and kept one to himself.

- So, what are you doing here? - Ned asked.

- I'm a courier and I don't know the area yet, so I got lost - he said.

- A courier? But you came here by foot, where's your van? - park ranger asked suspiciously. Lewis gulped nervously.

- Something... Something big took it, maybe a bear... - man got confused, seeing how Ned's face became furious.

- Did that "something" had red eyes? - he asked. Lewis got shocked.

- How did you know? - he asked surprised.

Park ranger didn't answer, he left the table and headed to the living room. Lewis got up and followed him, curious what was he about to do.

Ned walked up to small counter, where a gun was put on. But instead of taking it, he took the sprayer standing next to it.

- I told him! I told him so many times! But it's like talking to a bloody goldfish! - man was grumbling to himself, visibly agitated. He left the headquarter, with Lewis following him.

Park ranger walked up to a large hangar and entered it without thinking. Lewis did as well, but... There was nothing inside. It was empty. What's going on here?

Park ranger faced the wall in front of him and yelled:

- Bandit! Do you think I don't see you? Turn to me when I'm talking to you.

"Wall" shifted and Lewis covered his mouth, not believing in what he was seeing.

Creature had light grey color, just like hangar's walls, if it hadn't moved, Lewis wouldn't know it was there. It had six limbs, each ended with two claws, it had moth wings and fluffy collar around its neck. Human-moth cryptid also had two large, feathery antennae sticking out of its head and red eyes. It was also huge, it had to be 70 foot tall at least. It was holding stolen van close like a precious treasure.

Man screamed and hid behind the park ranger, who didn't even move a muscle. Creature looked at both of the humans with curiosity, swishing his antennae happily.

- What did I tell you so many times? You can't take things that don't belong to you! - Ned pointed at the van - Give it back!

Cryptid shook his head and turned away from angry human. Park ranger walked up to the moth and sprayed it with the water. It began to hiss, but didn't put the van down.

- Bandit! For the last time! Or you're giving it back to this man or I'm bringing the garden hose! - he warned.

Hearing this, creature whimpered and gently put the stolen vehicle down. Lewis ran up to the van, looking for eventual damages creature could have done to it.

- Better look inside, if all packages are there - Ned adviced. Park ranger then proceed to scold Bandit just like a parent would to his kid. Creature looked sulked and was mockingly chirping at each word Ned said.

Lewis was looking at the whole scene with awe. Wasn't park ranger scared of that gigantic monster? It could end his life without any effort and yet, man was treating it like a naughty child.

Ned stopped scolding the creature, wagged his finger at it and then turned to courier:

- Is everything in there?

- Yes, thank you mister - Lewis replied and then pointed at the cryptid - But what is that thing? - he asked.

- Bandit? I have no bloody idea what he is, but I can assure you that he's completely harmless, just little mischievous and got the light fingers - he said and looked at the creature disapprovingly. He stuck his tongue out at the park ranger.

- It was not so long ago. He randomly appeared at the concert, enchanted by the lights, scaring the living hell out of people. But then I learned that he's not dangerous and since it's my duty to protect nature, I started to protect him too, my big quirk of nature - Ned said.

- And he won't hurt us? - Lewis asked to make sure.

- Nope! He's like a big teddy with a bad habit of stealing - park ranger said, looking at the creature who was now getting ready to sleep, since it was dawning.

- Now come Lewis, I show you the way to the city - Ned said and together with courier left the hangar.

- And that's it, you're in the city. Did you understand? - park ranger asked.

- Yes, thank you Ned! - cheered up Lewis replied and got into his van. As just he was about to drive away, he wondered and asked:

- Aren't you going to enforce from me a promise not to tell anyone about Bandit?

Park ranger smirked.

- I got like thousands of threats that they'll tell police about him and to this day nobody came to take him down. Would you believe if I told you that there's a giant moth-human hybrid roaming through this park, before you saw it with your own eyes? - he asked. Lewis shook his head.

- Exactly! Well, bon voyage! - park ranger said and went back to headquarter.

Lewis got out of the national park and drove onto the main road, still processing what he had witnessed.
