Consequences and brutality

~Dabi's pov~
He wasn't really good with words. Whenever Dabi got flustered, sad or just too overwhelmed he would begin to stutter. Then his whole body would begin to heat up due to his quirk, and before you know it, flames would be erupting everywhere. Only one person excluding his mum has managed to sooth him and make his calm again. So why didn't he know what to say? Now that his saviour was in front of him, why did he run out of things to say?

A hand suddenly reached out of nowhere and patted him on the head.

"I forgive you." Was the gentle reply.

Dabi stilled lowered his head in shame.

"You don't deserve someone like me."

Hawks just put a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"It'll be alright, Dabi."

Suddenly, an uneasy feeling overcame him. It wasn't something he'd just shrug off, since his instincts was something that had saved his life more than once. He couldn't figure out what though, since nothing was wrong. The League would never betray him. Dabi didn't have any enemies, at least not strong enough for him to stress about. Hawks, well nothing could be wrong with Hawks. But for now, all he could do was keep his guard up.

Dabi wasn't sure what was wrong, but the rest of the day with the League was just as uneasy. Kurogiri was still the same calm, and collective. But he felt like he holding back something. Shigaraki seems to try and avoid all contact with him, as if Dabi was chapstick or something. God, that man really needed some chapstick. Toga was actually pretty quiet, but the bloodthirsty look in her eyes has somehow increased. It quite alarming at times, but he would have to deal with it. Surprisingly, the other members were normal. For the time being.

Hawks still hasn't met Toga yet. Every time Dabi wanted to introduce him to her, she was out on another mission. Maybe it was for the better. Twice's death had impacted her the most. It was strange though, because she was always out on missions these days. In truth, Dabi hasn't seen Toga for two days already.

If there was anything that hurt him the most, it was the state that Hawks was in. Maybe it was all the traumatic events that he went through, but once again, Dabi's suspicions wandered back to that same uneasiness he felt when Hawks touched him. It was as if it wasn't Hawks, but a doppelgänger. The only person that would hold that kind of power would be Toga, but how did she know about Hawks? Unless...her and Shigaraki were in on this together.

Dabi felt his soul leave his body. If the real Hawks, the one he had seen with Giran was in Toga's 'care', things would be bad. Dammit. Now that he thought about it, everything fits together. It was unlike Shigaraki to just save Hawks from Giran and not go on about some sort of revenge plan. If that was the case, then he had to do something. Fast. The best plan would be to go at night, when everybody would be asleep.

An hour. That's all a Dabi needed to find Hawks. The first place would be the basement of the L.O.V hideout. Every interrogation was held there, and if Dabi really did know everything about Shigaraki and Toga, it was likely that they didn't think out their whole 'revenge plan' through enough. Tonight. Tonight, no matter what, Dabi was gonna get Hawks back.

~Hawks' pov~
He couldn't stop laughing. Hawks didn't know if it was the pain or maybe he was just going crazy. How long was he out for? From all of that blood loss, Hawks was surprised he wasn't dead yet. While he was out, someone had clearly tended to all of his wounds, but he was still nailed to the stupid chair. Even the slightest movements hurt like hell, so he just avoided any physical action whatsoever.

Hawks was worried, but there was nothing he could do. Toga had taken so much blood from him that he was sure she could last one or two weeks disguised as him. Naturally, Dabi's thick skull would probably notice nothing, since he was such a wimp at times. Not that he probably cared. Welp, looks like Hawks was on himself again.

If it hurts so badly, then why was he still laughing? Hawks himself wasn't sure either. It was probably something stupid, like masking his feelings. But it was probably true. He didn't know if he should feel sad. Was he even suppose to feel anything? Inside, Hawks felt like he was hanging onto life, but only just. For some reason, it was as if his heart was made of glass. Every wound he got, he felt as if his heart was breaking all over again. But words were worse.

"Why are you even alive?"

"You need to be better. Work harder."

"It's all your fault!"

All of them impacted him. Like Hawks was constantly listening to them, on repeat. Every day. Every hour. Every second. Suddenly, he felt tired. Hawks had no tears left. No more words. But he was scared to close his eyes. He was afraid, his thoughts still dwelling in the past. It was just too much. So in the end, he just sat there and waited for the unknown thing his heart had wanted for a long time. But he wasn't sure what.

The door of the small room clattered and moments later, faint footsteps could be heard. Hawks looked up with his remaining strength and to his surprise, it was Kurogiri.

"Keigo, was it?" He said, unbothered by all the blood splattered everywhere. Kurogiri pulled up another chair in front of Hawks and took out some canned tuna before ungagging him.

"I'm just gonna be honest with you. I shouldn't be here right now, I just feel bad." Kurogiri opened the can and offered a spoonful to Hawks, who eagerly opened his mouth, who was deprived of food for a few days.

Gingerly swallowing the food, Hawks winced as he felt a sharp stinging pain in his left collarbone. After savouring each and every last bite, he finally finished the whole can. Kurogiri took one last pitiful look at him before returning the chair to its original place and walking towards the door.

"W-wait!" Hawks finally muttered enough courage to talk.

"Please, can you just kill me."

Kurogiri turned around. "No can-do. I'm really sorry."

The door closed and once again, Hawks was left with his own thoughts.

Day 2 of surviving eternal hell with the hope of dying. Hawks had lost track of time, but when the door opened again, Toga bounded in like the crazy psychopath she is. He felt another knife plunge onto his arm, earning another muffled scream. Hawks would say that he was use to the pain, but that would be a lie. The pain intensified every time. It was braking him, but no one would care anyways.

"Oh my, Hawks" Toga suddenly squealed.

"I love your wings, their so pretty!" And before he could even take another breath, that bitch had dislocated one of his wings. Hawks gasped in pain as he felt more and more tears streaming down his face. Acting on pure instinct, he tried to wriggle free, but just strained against the nails instead. Another surge of unbearable pain ran through his body as Hawks's head sagged in defeat. Toga peered down at him in satisfaction before heading towards the door.

"Don't worry, I'll be back before you know it. I'm just gonna check up on your little boyfriend ok?" She laughed again and closed the door with a loud thud.

Hawks felt more and more tears form in his eyes as he tried to use his good wing to cocoon himself from any more danger, not that it would do any good. He took a deep breath. Death was near, and Hawks could feel it. Now all he had to do was wait.

Sorry if I made Hawks suffer, I was in a really shitty mood and I might of wanted to commit👉👈, but that's fineeeeeeeee. I'm kinda ok now
