Author's POV

You saw some suitcases in the corner of the room. You were shocked about how quickly your bags reached here. You looked around the room again, realizing it really was happening. The whole sudden marriage that you never agreed for was going to happen, the moving in was just a formality. You knew it all.

You washed up and changed into your PJs. You heard grumbling noises from your stomach. You were about to go to the kitchen downstairs to make some food when your phone buzzed.

It was a message from Jimin,

Jimin: the food is ready!!

You: I'm so touched! You are a life saver.

You went down to see 4 burnt pans in the sink and panda express packages on the dining table.

"I guess you fixed the dinner all by yourself," you said with a smile while getting down the stairs.

"I kinda tried to make you some steak but I failed miserably, I hope you're ok with Chinese food"

"I'm more than just OK with Chinese food and I'm completely moved by your effort"

He smiled shyly and said "You are being cheesy now"

"You are the one who is cheesy, I mean what was with the flirting in middle of a group chat"

"What was with it?" he asked with an innocent expression.

"Nevermind, Let's eat!" You said while grabbing a cup.

He started to eat too, midway he stopped and said "I don't really flirt with just anyone"

"I wasn't even judging you, eat up Jiminie before the food gets cold"

"Just to remind you I'm 25 and you are 24 so that makes me your OPPA!!"

"sunbaenim...since you were my senior in high school, I like it better"

"Well, that didn't go as planned" Jimin thought.

You were done eating. So, both of you talked about high school and about your common interests.

"What kind of music do you like?" he asked curiously.

"You know BTS? I love them"

"Oh, that boyband? I know them too. Who is your favorite member? Mine is V"

I seriously know nothing about BTS, just saw those guys on the news, V was the easiest to remember...I need to do some research work...

*sighs*

"Mine is Jimin, he is so cute and talented at the same time" You excited.

"His name is Jimin too? I had that name first, copycat" he mumbled the latter part, he wasn't exactly happy at the excited introduction of this random k-pop idol. 

"I knew him before I even met you, he is the first Jimin I know," You said proudly.

"But I've been Jimin for 25 years now"

"This is a dumb argument anyways," You said as a light yawn exited your mouth.

"I guess someone is sleepy...well let's tuck you in!" he said while grabbing you hand and pulled you towards your bedroom. You were subtly surprised at his sudden actions but you weren't really complaining.

He stopped in front of the bathroom and said "Go wash up"

You followed his instructions like a little kid and went in, washed your face, and brushed your teeth. You came out and saw Jimin making the bed.

"Come lay down," he said

You followed what he said and you weren't shocked at how obedient you suddenly were, this unknown spell that Jimin had on you was something you feared the most. You didn't want to be so easy but then you just couldn't act like the opposite.

"I just want to tell you that I'm always there so don't get too stressed about it," he said.

"Thanks sunbae, I think I'll continue my college here ASAP and resume stuff in life. I'll be looking forward to your help and cooperation"

"Stop being so formal! I don't know how to ask but I do have a favor for you"

"What is it?"

"Let's be good to each other, like genuinely good, you know I wanna be a good fiance even if you don't really like me"

"I do like you as a friend," you said.

Did my fiancé just friendzone me?

"I'm completely OK with the idea, let's at least keep our parents happy" you added after a small pause.

"Make sure you think about yourself too," He said in a calm tone while putting a hair strand behind your ear.

He came closer, kissed your forehead and whispered, "Good night"

His warmth filled the room, he was treating you like an old friend of his even though it's been hardly 12 hours.

Your heart pounded, a part of you was genuinely afraid Jimin will hear your heart race.

You somehow managed to say, "Good night to you too Oppa"

"Omg did I just get promoted to Oppa from sunbae?! I'm flabbergasted! in a good way!"

You just chuckled and closed your eyes as Jimin turned the light off and closed the door behind him before leaving the room. You smiled to yourself as you touched your forehead, tracing the warmth his lips had left behind.

If you were to be honest, you never really planned things for the future, you just dreamt about all those things as an innocent high school girl, never really plotted out stuff like get married at 24, get a med school degree at 26, etc.

So you decided to go with the flow, maybe it was all for the good of you and the people surrounding you. If this is the best that life had to offer then you'd rather accept it. Complaining will just make things worse.

These were just excuses...

Dumb lame excuses you made to avoid the fact that you were attracted to Park Jimin just like a moth to a burning flame. He wasn't dangerous but he was unknown. Someone you knew nothing about but this didn't stop your heart from marching towards him. They say you should always measure the depth of the river before you dive, but it was too late now.

You did like him.

Jimin's POV

I stepped out of Yoona's room and danced for about 15 mins

She freaking called me OPPA!

I'm gonna tell the guys about it and I'm gonna practice and learn stuff to impress her tomorrow. Get ready to fall head over heels for me.
