Chapter 10

Emma

Naked.

Why was she naked?

And why was there a man in her room? And why was he naked too? And in her bed?

It took her a second to connect the dots.

Oh.

She looked at the man. He was quite handsome. He had some chest hair, not as much as Killian but he still had some. From what she could see he also had a well-trained body, even though his six-pack was not as goodlooking as Killians. She shifted  her gaze from his body to his face.

He had a beard, not a scruff like Killian, but a real beard. She looked in his eyes. They were blue, not as ocean blue as Killians but- wait, why was she comparing him to Killian? It's not like she thought Killian was the most beautiful creature on earth...right?

No.

Of course not.

She was pulled out of her thoughts by an uncomfortable cough. As if someone was trying to get her attention. But who?

Oh right, the naked man in her bed.

"Hi", she said, a bit embarrassed because he obviously caught her staring at him.

"Good morning beautiful", he answered. She immidiately noticed his Irish accent, so at least he was just as dutch as she was. Which was not. Of course.

"I, uhh, don't exactly know who you are, soo...", Emma started, really embarrassed now because she really couldn't remember anything from the night before. She must have been really drunk. Now that she was thinking about it, her head was hurting like hell. How didn't she notice this before?

"That's okay love, I don't know who you are either, I guess the alcohol was really bad yesterday", he chuckled softly, offering her his hand, "Anyway, my name is Graham".

"Emma", she said, shaking his hand slowly, before stepping out of her bed and putting on some sweats and a shirt, "I'm going to get some aspirins for my hangover, would you want some too?".

"Yes please", Graham answered, stepping out of her bed as well and looking around the room for his clothes.

Emma left the room and walked over to the kitchen to grab a glass of water and four aspirines. She swallowed two of them, refilled the glass and walked back to her room to give the glass and the pills to Graham.

When she entered her room she found him standing next to her bureau, looking at a picture of her and Killian, made when she was seven months pregnant with Henry and Killian decided to take her and Regina camping for the weekend. He had just finished setting up the tent and was looking very proudly at it, while Emma was sitting in a chair next to the tent, laughing at his face, when Regina snapped the photo. It was Emmas favourite picture of her and Killian.

"Who is this?", Graham suddenly asked, when he noticed that Emma was back again. "My brother Killlian". "Owh gosh, that explains a lot", the man said.

"Explains what?", Emma asked, very confused as she handed the pills and the water to Graham.

"Thanks", he said, swallowing the pills, "And well, this morning, around eight thirthy I think, I woke up to this ringtone or something. So I looked around, nearly jumped out of bed when I realised that you were sleeping next to me, and then I saw that your laptop was on and that you had an incoming skype-call. And uhh, I didn't want to wake you up, so I walked over to your laptop and went to decline the call, but uhmm, my hand shifted and I accidentaly answered it."

He stopped talking.

Why did he stop talking? She wanted, no she NEEDED to know who it was, although she might have a slight suggestion.

"And who was it?", she asked pleadingly, hoping that he would continue his story.

"Your brother", Graham sighed, confirming her thoughts before continuing his story, "and he looked at me in horror, which I didn't quite understand untill he told me that I was naked, and that I should tell you to call him back in the morning, which I didn't really understand be-"

"He lives in the States, so he probably called me in the middle of the night and wants me to call him back when it's morning over there, so probably around three o'clock here", Emma interrupted before gesturing for him to continue.

"Right, I see, anyways, right after that he hung up and I went back to sleep", Graham said, rubbing his hand over his face before letting out a long sigh, "Gosh, I thought he was your boyfriend or something".

"Nope, just my crazy adopted brother who also happens to be the guy who adopted my child", Emma said, only realising what she had said when she looked at Graham's confused face.

"You have a child?"

☆☆☆

After Emma had told Graham everything about Henry, Regina, Killian (but leaving out the whole my-adoptive-brother-has-a-crush-on-me-part) and the rest of her family, he had told everything there was to know about his, and they had spent the rest of the day just hanging out and getting to know each other.

Around two o'clock Ruby joined them, after laughing at them in their faces for not remembering anything they had done. When they told her the story of how Graham had met Killian, she literally couldn't stop laughing and almost suffocated because of the lack of air.

When Ruby finally stopped laughing they'd  just started talking and Emma quickly noticed quite some chemistry between her roommate and her possible one-night-stand. She smiled at herself, maybe this could end in Ruby finally getting a serious relationship. If that happened, than maybe she didn't want to go to every party there was, which meant Emma didn't have to either.

At four o'clock Graham had to go to his work in the animal shelter, leaving Emma alone with her headache, an obviously love-struck Ruby and the question she had asked herself this morning, and now again.

Why was she comparing Graham to Killian? She had never done that before. Sure, she had compared every guy to Neal, but never to Killian.

But Graham she had compared to Killian. Not Neal. Killian. KILLIAN.

The only reason she could ever give for comparing every guy to Neal was that she was still in love with Neal.

Wait a minute.

That couldn't mean...

No.

Absolutely not.

She was just imagining things right?

"It does make sense Em", Ruby suddenly said. Wait, what?

Oh no.

"I was thinking out loud again wasn't I?", Emma asked, Ruby nodded, Emma groaned, "what did you hear?".

"You said you had been comparing Graham to Killian, and that you didn't understand it, and the only logical reason was that you- well, you were about to figure that out when I decided to interrupt".

"So basically everything", Emma sighed, "what do you think I should do?".

"I don't know Em, maybe you should just listen to your guts. Or look inside your heart, and, I don't know, try to find out what they are telling you," Ruby said, actually making sense for a change, while searching Emmas eyes.

"Ruubs?", Emma started, getting uncomfortable under Ruby's deep stare, "What are you doing?"

"Just looking for clues in your eyes, they are the windows to your soul you know," Ruby stopped talking and scoffed when Emma chuckled and rolled her eyes at the red-haired girl, "Well, I don't know if you want to know it, but from the looks of it, it seems as if you really, really like your brother, and not in the way it's supposed to be".

And as Ruby walked away, Emma realised that Ruby was indeed right.

Emma also realised that she had known it for quite some time, she just didn't want to acknowledge it.

But where was the harm now? He had already confessed his feelings towards her, why couldn't she?

Because after all, she knew she couldn't deny it anymore.

She, Emma Swan, was falling in love with Killian Jones, her own adoptive brother.

A/N  Hi Hi! Here's a hopefully nice update because I was feeling it today.

I decided to do all Emma this chapter, but next chapter will probably be both again, I'm not quite sure yet.

Anyways, I hope you are having a good day, a lot less rainy than mine, and well uh, BYE!

(BTW, I am almost at 50 votes, which is amazing, 'cause I never expected 1, let alone 44 (right now, I call it almost 50, let me be), so I just wanna say: WOOHOOO! Sorry, had to do it...)
