19 ~ They're Coming

Leo's POV

Nico had left after his duel with Malfoy—if you could call that a duel—with Hazel, something about looking for a rock, I wasn't really listening.

We got the wizards ready for fighting with the weapons. We got them used to swinging them around and taught them how to hold them.

"Are you sure we should train Malfoy? I mean, he's obviously not on our side," I told Annabeth.

Annabeth glanced at Malfoy swinging his sword clumsily and stabbing it into the ground, "He can't get any better. Just don't help him or give him any advice."

"Okay."

Annabeth frowned, "He should be removed from the school. I'm going to tell Dumbledore later."

I surveyed the room. Drew was shoving knives up her sleeves. Then she stared at the bow and arrows, like she was figuring out where she could put it.

I stared at her as she shoved a dagger into her combat boots, "What are you doing?"

"What does it look like idiot?" she snapped. She unsheathed her sword and slung her bow across her back, "Now, how do you disarm someone?"

"You don't need that many weapons," I pointed out. "And they're heavy."

"Nah, I casted a Feather-light Charm on them."

"But you can't cast spells or charms on Celestial Bronze."

"These are steel. You know, in case I get tied up. I can shake it out of my sleeve." She took one out, "I couldn't get the Disillusionment Charm to work, so I just coloured it black."

"Ohhkaaay, but if we run out of weapons you need to give some of those up."

"There's only four, not including my sword and my Celestial Bronze dagger."

"It's better if you just master at one weapon, not like, three different kinds."

"I use my sword," she waved it a little, "the others are in case I lose it. And the bow is just, for...long distance things."

"If you get captured, you're basically arming the monsters with all those weapons you have."

"I'm not going to get captured," she said in a getting-captured-is-for-wimps tone.

"Where are you going to put that bow then? You can't really sneak around with it, as you like to do. If you shrink it, you'll need to make it larger, and that takes too much time."

She frowned at me, "Okay, I'll lose the bow and quiver, happy?"

"Yeah," I started to show her how to disarm someone with a sword.

Then suddenly I remembered something, "Did you return Harry's Cloak?"

"Yeah, 'course."

"No seriously. Where is it?"

"I don't know where Harry puts it."

"I know you still have it, you have to return it. It's his."

She glared at me, then took out a cloak from her bag and shoved it into my arms.

I checked to make sure it was the right cloak, it wasn't. "This isn't Harry's."

"Gosh, you're impossible to fool," she muttered. She took out another cloak and gave it to me.

It was the right one. I went over the Harry and handed it to him, "Sorry man, I forgot that Drew still had it."

Harry looked relieved, "Thanks Leo."

A week later, Drew was one of the best fighters at Hogwarts, tied with Harry (not including the demigods).

The others were good enough for basic self defense.

At breakfast, a black bird dropped into my lap. "Hey I got a letter," I said. Thalia shot the bird out of the air.

"It was a Stymphalian Bird," she explained.

I  opened the envelope and took out a card. It was written in almost unreadable handwriting. And some of the letteres were written upside down or were reversed. Then it was crossed out and written in messy Greek, "Your friends are fine. We have not tortured them or injured them of any sort. Yet."

I stared at it. Then read it out loud.

"Nobody's missing," Annabeth looked around at us.

"Does it mean someone at Camp Half-Blood?" Jason asked. "Or Camp Jupiter?"

"I don't like this," Annabeth muttered.

I noticed Fred and George weren't sitting next to the Stolls like they always do. The Stolls looked a bit confused too.

"Where's Fred and George?" I asked Ron.

Ron looked around, "Oh, probably planning something. Or pranking someone."

I remembered Drew telling me about something they were going to do with her last night. It was something about pulling down Malfoy's pants at the greenhouse.

"Fred and George aren't here," I muttered.

"You shouldn't worry about it, seriously," Nico said. "If it was them the letter was talking about, they probably wouldn't send it to you. Probably Ron or somebody."

I look over at the Slytherin table, then turned back to Nico, "Drew's not here either."

***Earlier last night***

Drew's POV

I sneaked out of the Slytherin dormitories. The Weasley Twins and I planned to prank Malfoy. The twins had written a fake letter from Thalia, saying that she wants to meet him in the Greenhouse at midnight. We planned to pull his pants down then Body-Bind him for people to see.

I walked across the grass, and saw the Weasley Twins already there.

I heard a rustling of leaves behind me.

I turned, and stared at Malfoy. I was going along the side, why is he coming this way? Normal people just walk straight to the greenhouse in plain view.

"What are you-"

"Stupefy!" he yelled at me.

The second I saw him open his mouth I whipped out my wand and yelled, "Protego!"

The curse rebounded and shot over Draco's head.

"Imperio!" I dodged the poorly aimed spell.

The Weasleys weren't looking my way and were in the greenhouse. I didn't call to them, I do not need help.

"STUPEFY!" someone behind me screamed. I ducked and took a quick look behind me, Goyle and Nott.

I yelled, "Accio wands!" their wands flew out of their hands and I caught them.

I put them together and yelled, "STU—"

"CRUCIO!" I whipped out my sword and the curse bounced off the Celestial Bronze, the curse barely missing my hand. My Shield Charm shattered when the Unforgivable Curse hit it.

"Stupefy!" I yelled at him.

Malfoy made a Shield Charm, and all three spells bounced off.

I looked back to see where his two buddies were. Goyle slammed into me, and my sword went flying.

I held my wand in my left hand and said, "Relashio!" Goyle let go of me. I held my Celestial Bronze dagger in my right hand and slashed Malfoy's nose. My hand couldn't get in his Shield Charm, but my knife did, and that was enough.

Malfoy shrieked and held his nose, "Get her!" He held his nose in both hands. Geez, what a wimp, it was only a small cut!

"I'm trying!" Theodore shot back. "I don't even have my wand!"

I brandished my wand, "Stupefy!" Theodore flew back four metres and slammed into the ground. He stayed there.

"Incarcerous!" three ropes wrapped around Goyle's arms and legs. He was a mummy in ropes now.

Smirking, I turned to Malfoy. Blood dripped down his nose.

He glanced at Goyle and Nott on the floor, "Do I have to do everything myself?"

"Yes, that's how you actually learn things," I replied.

"Too bad I'm not alone then," he sneered at me.

I blinked, "Well...I'm here too...so I guess that's true?" I quickly looked around just in case.

"Stupefy!"

Too late to dodge or deflect it this time. It hit me in the shoulder, and I flew backwards and slammed into Theodore, who cushioned my fall a bit.

"Rennervate. Reducto!"

Goyle got up, the ropes had turned to ash, and Nott got up groaning.

"Stupefy!" Malfoy fell to the ground, his Shield had broken already. I blinked, I didn't send that spell!

The Weasley twins ran over.

"How come you didn't call us?" George frowned at me.

"Yeah," Fred said.

"I don't need any help," I said.

"Whatever you say," George said. He held up his wand again, but Goyle slammed into the twins and started wrestling them on the ground.

I took out my steel knife and threw it at Malfoy, not really caring if I accidentally killed him. He freaked out and stumbled backwards a bit. It hit his sleeve and stuck there. He tripped and fell onto the ground.

He got up and took the knife out.

Theodore grabbed my hand and wrenched all the wands away, "Incarcerous!"

I ducked, and it ended up hitting Fred, George and Goyle.

Great, I have no wand, just a bunch of weapons.

I couldn't see my sword anywhere, I'll just have to stick to my daggers.

"Imperio! Reducto!" Malfoy shot the spells at Fred and George. Fred's ropes turned to ash and he stood up. Theodore did the same to George, then freed Goyle.

Fred and George started coming towards me. I cursed mentally. I considered running for it, but I didn't want to look like a coward.

Fred and George raised their wands. So did Malfoy, Goyle, and Nott. Malfoy was smirking so hard I wished I was close enough to slap it off.

Fred, George, Nott, and Malfoy all opened their mouth to say something.

I ducked as their spells shot over my head.

"Incarcerous!" Goyle's spell, which was shot later than the rest of them's, hit me in the face. The light blinded me for a few seconds. Someone ripped my dagger from my hands. I punched the area where they were, and it hit someone.

I felt ropes wrap around my arms, pinning them to my side, and my legs got bound together.

I couldn't get my knives out of my sleeves with my arms bound like this, and I couldn't reach the knife in my left combat boot. Beaten by boys, I thought bitterly.

Malfoy leaned in front of my face, his nose was gushing blood, and it poured into his mouth.

"Well it looked like the great Drew Getaway has been defeated," he smiled wide.

***Dorms***

Leo's POV

Malfoy and the students who were suspected to be Death Eaters or of helping the enemy were expelled. That was sad, I miss being able to beat up Malfoy every time he opens his mouth.

Classes had been canceled today, due to the monsters most likely attacking on this day. Teachers were patrolling the hallways.

"Okay," Annabeth said, "Chiron's completely sure they are attacking today. Reinforcements will be here soon, which is about 20 demigods from the Camps. The enemy already knows we're here, and they're looking for us. We should change our appearance, try to blend in. I'm not sure how we're going to block our smell though. Then we wait for the right moment for a sneak attack. We can't have all the monsters onto us immediately."

"So how are we changing our appearance?" Percy asked.

"Transfiguration, you can Transfigurate people's faces. But we don't really need to, just changing the hair and maybe your height would be enough."

"Transfigurate people's faces?" Percy looked horrified. "Well I'm not doing anything to my face!"

"Relax, just change your hair to blonde or something. Maybe wear some glasses."

"I'll look like Harry Potter! I mean without the blonde hair."

"That's not the point! I'm colouring my hair black." She Transfigured her pillow into a mirror and pointed her wand at her hair, "Colovaria." Her hair changed to jet black.

"Cool!" Percy turned his hair brown, "Oh gods I look so weird." He changed it back. Then put on some glasses, "Ugh, now I look like Harry!" He took off his glasses and changed his hair to blonde, then pulled his hair back, "Hey look I'm Malfoy!"

We burst out laughing.

I drew some freckles on my cheeks with a brown marker and turned my hair blonde.

"They probably know we're Gryffindor," Annabeth said, "so we should colour our ties to different colours. And our badges too."

Now we all had disguises. Different uniforms, hairstyles, hair color, or skin color. Some of us put on glasses too.

BOOM! It was followed by even more booms. BOOM! BOOM!! BOOM!!! It sounded like the part of the castle was collasping.

I could hear people screaming outside. We ran out.

The common room door opened a few seconds later, and in ran two Gryffindors girls. They closed the door silently behind them.

"Outside," one of them gasped, "there's monsters!" She waved his hands in the air, eyes wide.

"Outside where?" Annabeth asked, her eyes urgent.

"Close, we went around," the other girl said. "the stairs."

Annabeth unsheathed her sword, "That's awfully close, what monsters are they? How many?"

They frowned, obviously trying to remember, "Cyclops!" One of them said. "Three I think."

"Where were you two anyway?"

They looked at each other, "Right outside." One of them said, "In front of the portrait."

Annabeth narrowed her eyes at them, "What are your names?"

"Why do you need to know?" one of them said really nastily. I could have sworn a flame flickered in her hair.

"I haven't seen you around before," Annabeth said, almost mimicking Malfoy's snotty voice.

Clear panic flashed across their faces. "Huh?" one of them said.

"Um," one of them said, "well we heard one of them say that your friend is in the Great Hall and you need to save her."

Annabeth ignored that information, "Why don't you have British accents?"

They opened, then closed their mouths.

"We...are from America. I'm surprised you've never heard of us. Everyone knows us here," one of them said. The other girl nodded.

"What, are, your, names?" Annabeth didn't sheath her sword.

"Maddison," the first one said, "she's Cally."

"What year are you in?"

They stared at her completely bewildered. One of them inched towards the door.

"Answer my question," Annabeth snarled at them.

"2014," one of the answered.

Annabeth lunged and sliced her into dust. She disappeared with a shriek.

The other girl's hair turned to fire, her skin turned pale, and her eyes turned red. One leg was super hairy, like a donkey leg, and the other was metallic. Her fingernails turned into talons.

Annabeth slashed again, but the empousa blocked with her claws. Thalia fired an arrow, and it sunk into the empousa's chest. She exploded too.

"Don't. Scream." She directed that at the cluster of Gryffindors in the common room.

They all stared at the dust on the floor wide eyed.

There was a big hissing sound coming from the outside, "Please come to the Great Hall...Now..."

Everyone stood up and began to walk to the door.

"Hey!" Annabeth half yelled half whispered. She stood in front of the door, "Snap out of it!" she ordered the nearest Gryffindor.

He blinked and scratched his head, "Wha?"

"Piper, do your charmspeak thing," Annabeth said. She blocked the door.

"Got it," Piper said. "Stop! Don't go out the door! Don't listen to that hissing voice!"

The hissing voice continued, saying the same thing. After a few times, it stopped.

Piper repeated what she had said. And the Gryffindors snapped out of it. All of them had come out of the dorms and were all standing in the common room.

"The monsters are here," Annabeth groaned. "We need a plan."

Super long chapter! Hehe. I didn't have a lotta homework this week. So here you go guys!

After I finish this book (probably after two or three chapters), I'm planning on starting another book. It's also going to be Demigods Going to Hogwarts, but not as many of them are going. And I'm going to make Harry super arrogant. Cuz I just really like those books where he's arrogant. I'm also going to put Thalico in that book.

What do you guys think?

Peace out! -ClaireValdez
