Hanji's POV

As much as I wanted to spend time with my family for Christmas, I wanted to be with Levi. After hearing about him not having anyone else close to him, I wanted to spend the night with him. I wanted to be the person that could always celebrate this holiday as well as his birthday together. Sure, he has Erwin, but I'm his girlfriend. I want us to be together as we grow older.

After we went around for family gatherings, I asked my dad if I could spend the night with Levi. I wasn't surprised when he denied it at first.

"Dad, please-."

"Hanji, I was your age once. I know what you want to do with him, and I will not allow it."

"Dad, we're not going to do anything more than just celebrate Christmas and his birthday. Dad, he has no one else. You remember what he said. Right now, it's just his friend. This will be our first Christmas together and celebrating his birthday together. Does he not deserve that? Just one night. I'll make sure he takes me back home tomorrow."

"And nothing more? I will not tolerate a teenage pregnancy, do you understand?"

"Dad, I know. We're not going to do anything like that." Oh... but I wish... but I can wait. I'll always stay.

"So this is where he lives?" Dad wanted to escort me to his apartment. I know what he wanted to do: search Levi's apartment to see what else he could hide. I hate it, but if it helps me stay the night with Levi... I don't mind it at all. 

"Yes, he and Erwin live here together." I knocked on the door, waiting for someone to open the door. "When will you go back home?"

"When I know that nothing funny is going on," Dad replies as I knock on the door again. "That's when I'll go home."

"Dad, we're both adults."

"Yes, but you're still a high school student."

We were interrupted by the door suddenly opening and Erwin pokes his head out. The surprised look on his face was all I needed to smile. "Hanji? What are you doing here? And who's this?"

"I wanted to surprise Levi because I thought he was lonely today. And this is my dad-."

"Is it okay if I enter?"

Erwin was flabbergasted when my dad asked him to enter. He muttered words that allowed my dad to walk into the house. Once Dad walked in, Erwin gave me a weird look, and I only shrugged my shoulders. I had no control over Dad. 

"Levi's in the shower right now. He'll be out soon, so I would ask for you guys to wait-."

"Which one is Levi's room?"

"Furthest down the hall on the right. But I wouldn't go in and he's going." Erwin let his hands fall to his side, sighing heavily. "Hanji, what kind of dad do you have?"

"An overprotective one. He doesn't want me to be pregnant, so he's here to ensure that nothing funny happens." I sigh as well, seeing my dad leave Levi's room. "I asked my dad if I could stay the night here. That's when he got protective."

Erwin nods his head, turning to me. "That will do. Let's hope this doesn't carry over when you get into college."

"I would hate that."

It wasn't long until Levi came out of the shower, already dressed with a towel draped over his shoulders. He froze when he saw me and my dad. However, there was that slight smile on his face when our eyes met.

"What are you doing here?" Levi asks, kissing my cheek. "I thought you were spending time with your family. Why is your dad here?"

"I'm here to make sure that nothing funny happens."

"Are you going to stay here all night?"

"I might."

"Dad!" I shout, "Just... please..."

Levi rolled his eyes and sighed as he held me close. "That's fine, Hanji. Did you bring extra clothes? If you're staying over, you need to take a shower."

I smiled, pecking a kiss on his cheek. "Of course, I did, Levi. Don't make my dad mad while I'm gone."

Dad left the apartment while I was showering. Although I was glad for him to leave, I wished he had said something to me. But that night, Levi and I stayed up watching some movies in his room. I was curled up in his arms as he held me tight. He hated Christmas movies because it was on the same day as his birthday. Instead, we watched other romantic movies all night long. I think I slept in his arms in the middle of a movie... I love him... that's the truth.
