After two days, the journey to recruit Princess Mipha began, this would be the last and only time that the princess would travel without soldiers. Y/n, knowing that Ordon,  his/her/their   horse was in Tabantha, immediately went to that region for him after the discussion with Zelda.

Revali saw that gesture as something stupid and unnecessary, after all, that horse would have been well cared for by Isha, Chief Daruk who arrived during those days almost crushed the poor Sheikah's back while Urbosa kept her distance.

The trip to Lanayru was uneventful, although she was angry, Zelda wanted her friend's company inside the carriage, but being by her escort,  he/she/they had to do surveillance of the perimeter.

He/She/They  made Ordon run or inspect the areas nearby and got rid of the monsters that wanted to make a joint assault and then returned to the road, the princess meanwhile thought of that knight: Link.

Unconsciously Link represented everything she aspired to be: Efficient for her sole purpose, hers was to awaken his power, but no matter how many years she meditated on the deities' springs, it just didn't emerge.

All the princesses destined to protect Hyrule showed signs of her power even from early childhood, but she seemed to be an exception, even though there were different inhabitants of the kingdom wielding magic better than she seemed to discourage her.

She looked at her hands helplessly, sighed and leaned back in her seat as feeling the transport move.

When Zelda arrived, she got out of the carriage and walked towards the domain, several zora guards bowed before her and the elder zoras, king's council members guided her towards the throne room, when she arrived the princess joined her hands to begin to speak.

-King Dorephan, my father King Rhoam wants to know about your answer, we need your daughter Princess Mipha to pilot the divine beast Vah Rutah since she is the most skilled warrior of your people- she began to say.

Y/n meanwhile he moved with some restlessness before returning to have  his/her/their  back straight and hands behind the back, they had given him a formal white long-sleeved shirt along with elongated black pants, the shirt was tucked in, they had allowed  him/her/them to wearing  his/her/their  bracelets in addition to black gloves,  he/she/they  looked somewhat uncomfortable due to being used to wearing casual clothes a little more comfortable than that.

By  his/her/their  own request they had not given him a sheikah uniform, despite belonging to that clan, y/n was basically someone outside the new customs.

Dorephan looked at the princess and the escort -I heard that you have found the knight who wields the sword that seals the darkness- he commented -And you have also recruited two leaders of the four tribes- he added, Zelda nodded -We have everything prepared to face the calamity-

The king of the Zora was silent, his daughter had shown a lot of interest in the divine beast of the water, and even more than once he had found her sneaking into it, Mipha possessed so much love for her people that she had already argued with him countless times to agree to be Vah Rutah's pilot.

He closed her eyes and let out a sigh -You should ask her directly, she is in the waterfalls with Prince Sidon- said this, he pointed to the place, the princess smiled a little -I thank you very much King Dorephan- she immediately turned around and began to walk.

Zelda stopped when realizing that y/n followed her out of the throne room -I will go alone, it must be something from princess to princess - she asked, the sheikah nodded and stayed still, letting her go.

One of the council members approached y/n and cleared his throat a bit -King Dorephan wishes to speak with you- he commented.

Puzzled, the warrior pointed to  himself/herself/themselves  with an incredulous expression -M-Me? - He/She/They  asked, when the zora nodded, they entered the throne room again.

Y/n bowed to the imposing monarch -King Doreph-

-Are you that person who saved my son at that time?- He interrupted, still using that serious and authoritative tone he used with Zelda, the sheikah shrugged.

"Exactly saving him no, I think it was a kind of distraction" he/she/they thought, however it was not time to make rude or long answers -Yes, it was me- y/n replied.

-I would like to thank you ... Although that does not rule out that you are from the Yiga clan, but you did the right thing and you have my sincere gratitude-

"How many times are they going to repeat the same lines about being part of the Yiga? At this rate, reconciling with them sounds easier than convincing these people."

-With all due respect, Your Highness, I no longer belong to the Yiga clan, nor am I from the Sheikah ...-  he/she/they  said, there was a long silence -Also, when you came to the domain you brought with you the silver ornaments of some inhabitants who had disappeared and even looked for their relatives to notify about the losses - added the king.

It was a custom that the captain had not lost, when someone from  his/her/their  squad died at the twilight era, he/she/they  went with the family or partner to notify about the death.

Y/n kept  his/her/their  gaze down -I would like to inform ... that the person responsible for taking the lives of those innocents no longer ... is with us- the warrior said, he/she/they   wasn't sure about that.

But  he/she/they  had to believe what  he/she/they  saw, Astor was stabbed in the chest, there was no way to recover from such a serious injury, isn't it?

-I'm very grateful for what you have done, and if my domain could help you with that heartache that you try to hide, you will always be received-  said the king, y/n raised  his/her/their  head with eyes wide open, he/she/they  was going to say " Heartache? I don't know what you mean "

But the king was old and wise, but above all he always tried to be there for his children, he kept a calm gaze towards the sheikah who just nodded.

-I know you want to help the princess, but if you want to help her in that state, you'll probably end up drowning, both of you ... You can go-

After those words, y/n left the throne room and looked at the beautiful place that stretched out before  his/her/their  eyes.

He/She/They placed a hand to  his/her/their  chest  "It's just that ... I'm not sad, but I'm not happy ... Just. .. It feels like silence, an awkward silence that seems to never end. " thought to  himself/herself/themselves , losing someone was already serious.

But the loss of a whole home, of a whole time, was something that still had y/n in a kind of shock, one that  he/she/they  did not want to face yet, y/n let out a sigh and decided to go with Ordon.

Meanwhile, Princess Zelda was on the platform that led directly to the top of one of the main waterfalls of the domain, Mipha had swam quickly through the strong stream of water to teach her younger brother to climb through it.

The zora was concentrating on what she was doing but listened carefully to what the Hylian told her about the conversation with King Dorephan, she was kneeling on the edge of that platform, holding her precious but lethal trident in one hand.

The golden ropes, a royal blue belt like other insignia of the Zora royal family that she was wearing shone divinely in the reflection of the midday sun.

Mipha kept her gaze fixed on the waterfall -So princess...- she finally spoke -May I ask who the other chosen Champions are?- the zora asked finally standing up, holding her weapon now between her two hands.

-Goron vigilance, Daruk. Rito confidence, Revali. Gerudo Spirit, Urbosa... And also...The Hylian with the sword that seals the darkness - the young woman began to recite.

Mipha widened her eyes when she heard the mention of the hylian, she looked away as she heard the name of the man she loved -Link- Zelda finished saying.

The zora princess lowered her head, pretending that she was looking at the fall of the waterfall, -Oh...- she clutched the trident to her chest and took a couple of steps to the edge of the platform where the entire domain could be seen, but specifically she was looking at a little zora boy who was swimming in the water near the waterfall.

-Sidon! Hurry and swim up here!- She exclaimed to the little prince who looked at the height where Mipha was with some temerity, the zora princess instead nailed the tip of the handle of her trident to the ground in a firm pose demanding him to go up.

Zelda could feel the fear that Sidon had  -Mipha ... Perhaps he is still too young to swim up this big waterfall - she softly commented.

But there was an absolute truth that Mipha had already accepted since Rutah woke up, where she realized that she had a kind of connection with the divine beast: Probably facing the calamity would cost her life and if it did not, she knew that she would not spend that much time in the domain as she used to do.

-One day, Princess ... I must leave him to face my fate with Rutah- She said, smiling in a sweet way and looking into her eyes.

She jumped into the waterfall without the Hylian being able to respond, she glided majestically over the water, gave a couple of jumps and acrobatics before doing a dive a few meters from her brother who looked admiringly at what she was doing although he shook his head when he felt a couple of drops on his little tiara.

Mipha emerged from the water and looked at him tenderly, Sidon was so small but she believed that he could do great things when the time came -Join me- she said, the young prince obeyed.

-We'll go together so you can get a feel for it- his sister said -uhum- the little one just replied, sincerely Sidon loved that his sister took him swimming on her back, so he suppressed a smile when she took a position so he could hold on -Let's go-

From one second to the next the princess of the Zora quickly ascended the waterfall, carrying the little one who after a few moments was able to put his head out and look: The blue and clear sky that made its way to the end of the water path.

It was like swimming into the sky.

Mipha jumped at the end to be able to take Sidon on one arm, when landing she leaned a little so that he could go down.

Now that the emotion was over, Sidon looked at the ground, he knew that the arrival of Zelda meant something important, he did not know what it was but in his instincts he felt that he could not see his sister as much as before.

She took him by the chin so that he raised his head -Sweet Sidon. Should fate ever part us... I'm counting on you to protect our beloved home from harm-  Mipha knew that she was entrusting a very hard promise to a little boy whose eyes shone just by seeing her, the zora princess took his tender cheek -Understood?-.

The little boy nodded, although he did not fully understand why his older sister was so serious but he understood the importance of the message.

Fighting back the urge to cry for what could be a goodbye, Mipha briefly closed her eyes before looking at him again -I believe in you- she held up her index finger -Now, shall we try one more time?-

Sidon perfectly understood that last question, he immediately put a hand to his chest and smiled broadly showing his small fangs in his typical gesture that said "Leave it to me!".

Mipha loved that face so much that she did not avoid laughing with tenderness and caressing the head of her little brother who laughed at her laugh.

Zelda was silent as Sidon descended the waterfall only for the first time in a somewhat clumsy swim and then ascended in the same way as Mipha encouraged him from afar.

It didn't bother her at all, in fact she was nostalgic.

"Maybe I was very hard on  him/her/them" the Hylian princess thought to herself as now the two brothers climbed the waterfall together so that they could escort her to the throne room where Mipha would declare her answer to King Dorephan.

Along the way, on the main access bridge, Sidon followed his sister but heard the neigh of a horse, the prince turned to see the animal that was accompanied by someone he had wanted to see again in a long time.

Mipha stopped when she heard a small sigh of surprise that Sidon let out when he saw the horse, she could also notice that person she had not seen in a long time -You can go, but remember not to get too close if the horse is not sociable- she said.

Sidon nodded and ran towards it, but before reaching the horse the prince took a Blue Nightshade that grew on the side of a pine tree.

-Excuse me princess- said the zora as they continued walking -Is that escort your new knight?- she asked, Zelda shook her head -While the knight is ready, y/n has offered to Scott me here- the blonde answered.

-Will  he/she/they  be  one of the champions then? - Mipha asked, she had a lot of confidence when inside the zora domain, and that was reflected even in her way of walking, the Hylian princess looked away -I'm afraid not ... You already know,  she/he/they  belonged to the Yiga-

-He/She/They  saved my brother ... Then  he/she/they  brought the belongings of zoras who died far from home and gave them to their families, Yiga or not. I think y/n is a kind-hearted ally , for me that's the only thing that matters- Mipha interrupted as they reached the throne room.

Dorephan was waiting, prepared for that small but important conversation.

-Father, I have agreed to be Vah Rutah's pilot - said Mipha who bowed before him and made her weapon do the same -Mipha, princess of the Zora ... You have my blessing as a pilot but ...- The king went silent - But as father and king I ask you only one thing-

Mipha raised her head, attentive to the older's request, the king had crystalline eyes -Promise that you will return home safely- at that time both zora wanted to cry, as did the members of the council who witnessed the scene, she nodded -Yes, father ... I promise-

"I wish ... Someday ...Something like this with my father..." thought Zelda who remained a few meters away from the monarchs of the domain.

Meanwhile, y/n was brushing Ordon's mane when  he/she/they  heard an "Oe!", the captain immediately turned sideways to finally see little Sidon who was running towards  him/her/them with a bright blue flower between his little hands: A Blue Nightshade.

-Prince Sidon! - the sheikah exclaimed with joy as  he/she/they  bowed with him, during  his/her/their  stay that young prince spent a lot of time by  his/her/their  side and even gave the idea of the brooches.

When he finally approached, Sidon extended the flower, his cheeks turned pinker than those little dots on his face, the sheikah looked with surprise and tenderness at the gesture -I-is it for me? - y/n took the gift carefully.

-Sidon is very pretty, thank you!- He/She/They  smelled the aroma of the blue nightshade, it was the first time they had given  him/her/them  something so beautiful. "It's my favorite flower, I like it very much" y/n added.

Sidon looked down a bit shy, he covered his mouth with one of his small hands while he felt his cheeks heating up, after calming down he asked the warrior to lean a little more.

Y/n accepted, obeyed by bending as low as  he/she/they  could, the young prince slowly removed the flower to be able to wrap it between  his/her/their  h/c  hair, then took the hand of the sheikah to kiss it in such a cute and tender way, that  he/she/they  used all her strength not to let out a touched laugh.

Especially since the zora looked so serious, he opened his lips and in a barely understandable sound he was able to formulate a "It looks pretty on you". Y/n smiled warmly, stood up and bowed to Sidon -Majesty, I will treasure this flower even when withered, I appreciate this beautiful gift-  he/she/they  said.

Now  he/she/they  couldn't hold a tender little laugh when the boy looked away extremely nervous, to break that nervousness  he/she/they  inclined -Would you like to ride Ordon?- the sheikah offered, Sidon immediately reverted to that glow of hyperactive happiness when he heard that and nodded repeatedly.

The sheikah helped him up and Ordon walked calmly around the more stable grounds near the entrance while the young prince hugged his neck lulled by the slow pace of that walk, y/n took the reins, making the small walk.

-Does Sidon like horses? - the captain heard in the distance, Mipha nodded with some tenderness -He likes them a lot but since they are not from the region, he can barely see them- the other princess answered as soon as they arrived, Zelda extended her hand towards the zora -y/n, officially I present to you the pilot of Vah Rutah- she said in a cordial tone.

Y/n stopped the horse carefully and bowed -It's a pleasure to see you again Princess Mipha- he/she/they  greeted, the zora imitated the gesture and did not avoid noticing the flower in   his/her/their  hair ... Oh ... Her brother now shared something with her besides blood and loyalty to their people.

The two of them had fallen in love with people outside their race. Sidon's first love was y/n, was one more reason to try to get closer to  him/her/them.

After escorting the young prince to the throne room, they began their journey back to Hyrule castle now accompanied by Princess Mipha who kept glancing at the sheikah.

It was at a time that their gazes met -Is something wrong Princess? - Asked y/n a little worried, she quickly shook her head feeling nervous about being caught -I-It's just that !. ..Eh ... I heard that the Hyrule festival was even celebrated in your time, W-What was it like? - she asked.

Zelda poked her head out, extremely curious, completely oblivious to the analysis of both princesses, the sheikah looked at the meditative sky -Let's see ... I went to a few but because many of us did not live in kakariko and we moved through camps, especially when Zant interrupted the last festival- he/she/they  began to say.

-All the towns made special gifts for the occasion, the best blacksmiths presented the best sword and shield, the cooks sent the types of plates that had been sold the most that year, then there was a combat tournament where we could all participate, Oh! And there was a lot of music! Queen Rutela sometimes accompanied all of us who lived in Lanayru with Prince Ralis- y/n smiled a little, fondly remembering that.

Mipha's eyes gleamed -Queen Rutela ?! I heard that she was very beautiful and powerful, so you lived in Lanayru? - she asked.

Y/n nodded -Yes ... And I served her for a time as a warrior, before being captain, I trained with the zora-

-I wish I had met her ... Will I be as powerful as her?- The young Zora asked in a whisper as if she were saying it for her.

-Princess Mipha, I can assure you that you are as brave and powerful as she ... And we talked about Rutela, the first to bravely oppose the reign of Zant the usurper- commented y/n still warmly, Mipha responded in a shy gesture -T-Thank you ...- she whispered.

The sheikah passed Ordon to inspect a couple of bushes that turned out to be just a couple of hares, then looked at the carriage with some sadness and concern ...

Queen Rutela, was assassinated in front of her people, in the public square of the Twilight era's zora domain when Zant began his reign. He/She/They  still remembered the zora guards holding tightly Prince Ralis who did not stop screaming in despair.

Y/n remembered crying in anger and helplessness for several nights, so many deaths, so many lives lost because of Ganon.

He/She/They   did not want to imagine that same scene with Mipha and Sidon, the sheikah carefully touched tenderly the flower placed in  his/her/their   hair -I promise ... that I will bring your sister safely- whispered the captain before following the carriage.

They had a festival to attend, y/n would be vigilant that there was no one interfering.

As soon as Ordon re-aligned himself with the carriage, the princess zora glanced at the sheikah, yes,  he/she/they  was a couple of weeks in the Lanayru region but avoided seeing  him/her/them   as long as she could, although she looked from afar how happy Sidon looked visiting his crush.

When they arrived at the castle, y/n went to leave Ordon in the stables, the champion candidates and Princess Zelda gathered in the main library, some already knew each other, some did not.

-Princess Mipha! I'm glad you accepted the invitation to be a champion! But I did not expect less from you! - Daruk exclaimed, the zora smiled shyly and nodded, Urbosa was leaning against one of the walls but when he saw the newcomers she approached -It is an honor to finally meet the future monarch of the Zora- commented.

Mipha admired the gerudo and nodded -It's a pleasure, I suppose you are the matriarch- she said.

Revali just entered, all the other champions were leaders of their tribes but he was a mere warrior of his own, in a way he felt intimidation but at the same time he was very proud of having been selected among them, he puffed up his chest and carried his wings behind his back -I see we're all here- the rito commented.

-The boy is not here, I can't wait to meet him! What will it be like? - Asked the goron - From what I saw, he is polite - Urbosa limited himself to comment while crossing her arms.

-He is a gentleman! And very skillful! - Mipha exclaimed suddenly and then looked away somewhat ashamed- Did you already know him? - Zelda asked somewhat surprised, the zora nodded - He ... He visited the domain with his father when he was a child-

-It is not necessary to talk so much about a little knight who does not even have the trouble of being punctual- stressed the General, just at that moment y/n and Link arrived at the same time.

-I'm sorry for the delay- the blond apologized giving a bow, the sheikah did the same - Y/n! Will you also be a champion? -

Y/n shook  his/her/their  head -I-I only guided Link around the castle but, erh ... - he/she/they  cleared  his/her/their  throat a little while feeling  his/her/their cheeks flushing with embarassment -We both don't know the castle, it took us a while to find the library - finally commented, Daruk did not avoid throwing a laugh into the air.

Revali who would not admit that it took him a whole day to get to know that new place, gave a slight mocking laugh -And you call yourself captain? ...- He noticed the flower in  his/her/their  hair.

-Are you sure you weren't spending quality time with the little knight?- He asked arching an eyebrow, the sheikah looked at the flower as Link shook his head.

-Ah, because of this flower? Prince Sidon gave it to me-  he/she/they  replied with a genuine smile that gave away saying "It is the cutest thing someone has given me."

Zelda smiled softly -In any case you are welcome to stay, that flower looks very pretty on you- she commented, y/n looked at the Hylian princess with some surprise. Was she no longer angry with  him/her/them? She nodded. -If you let me! I-It would be an honor! - he/she/they  exclaimed.

Revali looked away "To get like this just for a flower that is going to die, how ridiculous."

(I love y'all so much that I uploaded this being well intoxicated in a very intense way hahahaha, but I already took my medicine, give me your best vibes ... Apparently Sidon has fallen in love with you! But of course nothing will happen, you are his childhood's first love, meanwhile you came across the first person who tells you face your loss before trying to help someone else.)
