When y/n went to sleep in the room Zelda had shown him/her/them the first time, was left thinking about the change in attitude in the rito, almost a year ago that proud general smashed him/her/them against the ground literally, but now, he even repaired the beloved kodachi.

Although also ... He/She/They   took out of his/her/their pouch the feather that he had sent with the letter, a small candle that illuminated the room mixed its warm colors with the indigo color of the object.

Y/n still couldn't forgive him for all the pain he caused him/her/them, for all his cruelty in the past, and he/she/they  was/were   even afraid that this new kindness was a strategy of his.

The sheikah felt fear, distrust.

"Maybe if I take precautions, we can probably work decently" Eagle thought while placing the feather away, blew out the candle and went to sleep.

Meanwhile, in a much more luxurious room (Because it was for a champion), Revali was reclining in the cotton and silk hammock that they been made for him.

It was a room that without the bed, looked twice as large as that of his co-workers, had a high ceiling from which hung a chandelier with several already extinguished candles, under this laid a large blue velvet mat with the triforce embroidered in gold threads, where the bed was supposed to go were two tall bookcases with two armchairs and a tea table in the center.

Finally at the back, to one side of the door, was placed a large desk where the rito had carefully placed the eagle bow.

His hammock hung almost to one side of one of the many long windows, he looked up at the moon.

He was thinking about that dream, then that fleeting thought he had, the rito wondered if he had had that same feeling with any of the other champions or with the princess, and even with other inhabitants of the Rito village.

Nobody, just    y/n made him feel that way, and he didn't know why, it was a strange but pleasant feeling that Revali was willing to explore.

"But you hurt him/her/them" his mind silenced.

Revali remembered all those times that he humiliated y/n, that he hurt him/her/them and even how the sheikah's pain caused him some satisfaction for a sense of "justice" that never existed because in the end it was someone who had not even deserved that treatment from the beginning .

The rito snorted as he slammed his head against the pillow -Well done, you big jerk-  he whispered as closing his eyes remembering the scars on y/n's arms, caused by his own claws, he felt an unpleasant shudder run through his back and chest.

Maybe if he didn't talk to him/her/them, maybe if you he made a certain distance from y/n, like he did with the princess.

No.

He wanted to find out what that feeling was, and Revali was willing to take responsibility for his actions, he was already taking his first steps after all, now he would think for a moment as suitable words to say "I'm sorry, I did horrible things to you" without lowering his pride.

First the general would fix things up, then he would find out what all that stirring of emotions inside him meant.

The next day y/n was the first to arrive at the library and he/she/they looked a little tired.

Despite having been awake, the sheikah was the first to arrive to read the diaries and books  of his/her/their time, but there was nothing that spoke of a hidden room, y/n let out a sleepy yawn as he/she/they closed two books -I see you're from the ones that wakes up before the sun does-

-M-Matriarch, good morning- he/she/they  greeted, Urbosa approached while shaking her head as sitting next to him/her/them -Just call me Urbosa, you've earned that right for a long time- she commented, kept silence and looked carefully at the books.

Y/n brought them closer so that she could see them well -They are writers of my time, I wanted to find answers about what happened after ... What brought me here, but I haven't found anything- he/she/they   confessed.

The matriarch was about to open her lips, about to mention what she had found in the diary of her deceased friend but was interrupted.

They heard a sigh of exhaustion, it was Revali who entered with his wings behind his back accompanied by Daruk and Mipha -Hasn't the little knight or the princess arrived? - He asked.

-Well, we have arrived before and we do it by etiquette- Mipha explained while Daruk let out a yawn, the rito's feathers fluffed up as soon as he saw y/n, the two exchanged a long gaze, the sheikah looked at another side with a slight sadness that Revali detected.

He was going to say something, or at least that was before the goron made him fully enter with his huge body.

-Little sheikah! How is your first day in your position? - He asked, the mentioned shook his/her/their  head slightly -E-Erh, all good, I feel a little excited, I'll do my best!- y/n commented with a smile.

The newcomers sat at the same table and saw the books, Mipha looked at their titles and years carefully -They are from the twilight era ...- she looked up at the sheikah -Are you looking for something?-.

-There are still things from my time that remain as a mystery, and I would like to solve them- he/she/they   limited himself/herself/themselves  to saying, the warrior didn't want to mention was ... That the past gave some relief to his/her/their soul.

Soon Zelda arrived with a couple of scrolls in her arms followed by Link, everyone could detect the princess's fatigue due to being followed everywhere as well as the knight's discomfort from having to follow her, suddenly the whole environment became more tense than that brief meeting of gazes between Revali and y/n.

When the young hylian princess looked at those present, she forced herself to breathe deeply -Good morning, are you ready?- she asked, everyone present took their seats, Zelda unfolded the scrolls in front of her friend.

-I asked the topographers to make legible maps of the interiors of the divine beasts, this one is from the kingdom, I pointed out the towns, smithies, shops, inns, everything you need to carry out your tasks- commented, y/n looked at the papers -This will help me a lot, Zelda, thank you- he/she/they   said with a smile.

The sheikah decided to unfold the kingdom's map in front of the champions -As champions, they will not be able to patrol in the same way that they used to do when they had their old positions, if you could tell me the possible points where your biggest concerns lie or enemies, it could help reduce that part of the risk in their populations - he commented.

Mipha took out of her pouch a pen and an inkwell -May I? - Asked shyly, the bodyguard nodded -Of course-

The zora then marked a couple of areas of Lanayru in the shape of an "x" -Here are the lairs of the monsters that we have not been able to drive away, also- she then circled an area with an "o" -Here you can find many fruits that you could help to increase your resistance, but-but if you get hurt and Vah Rutah is near, you can come with me-

Revali took up the pen without warning -My warriors are already covering these areas- he said, referring to the mountains -However, near the ranch we have only guards, some have seen well-worked enemy camps in the south- he said, with fine lines he pointed to the camps -You know Isha lives there to tend to your wounds, no need to say where she is- the rito dipped the pen's tip in the inkwell before handing it to Daruk.

The goron scratched his nose, made a sad face while checking the map -Little brother/sister/sibling...- he began to say, directed his small eyes towards the sheikah who was paying attention -The mountain of death has been very uneasy, And I don't want you to misunderstand me, but do you really think you can deal with these problems on your own? - he asked.

He didn't judge the strength of the sheikah, but the champion was concerned about his/her/their  safety -Y/n has the strength of the fierce deity with him/her/them, of course he/she/they can!- Urbosa exclaimed.

Y/n shook his/her/their head -That's a detail that I wanted to discuss with you all- he/she/they began to say with a serious face -The fierce deity ... It is not a weapon that I can use whenever I want- the sheikah placed a hand to his/her/their  chest, closing his/her/their   eyes, feeling the weight that had been ignored so many years -Those are the collective feelings of those who preceded me, and by using it, there must be an exchange for that power, in this case, my life force because I'm not the original bearer-

-I knew it! - Zelda exclaimed, making him/her/them   open their eyes again to look at her- I knew there was a price to pay- said   his/her/their   friend who came closer -For centuries, there have been powers or artifacts that always ask for something in return, the fierce deity showed us unimaginable power, but ...- the princess pursed her lips, scanned the room with her gaze until she finally met his/her/their   eyes again -Don't use it unless it is really necessary, even if we face the very same Ganon himself ... Maybe, maybe I can find a way to prevent you from using it- she whispered.

Everyone could feel her fear of losing any of those present in that room, however those present were experienced warriors, y/n held her gaze -I promise that I will not use this power unless it is something of life or death, Zelda. .. - He/She/They smiled softly, as if it were a conversation between brothers/sisters -Also, we will all work as a team, right? - the sheikah asked, turning to see Link and made an affirmative gesture with his head.

It was then that the champions pointed out the rest of the places that the new member of the team should check, Zelda was the last to take the pen, she looked doubtful at the map in front of her -There is a hidden room, on Satori Mountain. ..- she began to say while circulating that location, in effect, the princess had read the last diaries that Urbosa had found.

-Mother took the most valuable artifacts that we found together there ... I do not know their current state, but I have faith that there will be something useful or ... At least a pleasant memory - she said - Mother greatly admired your father's work ... - she whispered and went silent for a few moments.

She stretched out her hand, Link gave her a diary, the same one that the matriarch had found a short time ago, Zelda looked at that object with affection before giving it to y/n.

Without wasting much time, the sheikah began to carefully leaf through the pages of the book until finally finding the last page that Urbosa had read - "Terrako", "Satori Mountain" ...- he/she/they whispered, reading aloud.

-She speaks of Terrako throughout the journal, do you know who he or she refers to? Or is it a toy? - Asked the princess, the captain shook his/her/their head -I would love to answer but my father had many private projects, and who was in his last years of life was Queen Zelda from my time - he/she/they said while carefully reading the pages.

Apparently Zelda's mother also dreamed of the end of Hyrule, when y/n passed his/her/their hand through that page, the sheikah stopped abruptly, releasing a surprised sigh -What's wrong? What happened? - Asked the matriarch while the other placed the diary in his/her/their pouch, looking towards the library entrances to make sure that no one but the champions was seeing -Nothing is just that. .. The deceased queen and I share a certain fear for Hyrule's future, that's all- he/she/they  just said.

How could he/she/they say "I think I just confirmed that those terrible nightmares are actually visions that even a deceased queen had"? There was no way, but if Zelda's mother knew something was coming, she probably left more clues in that hidden room.

-I must go to Satori Mountain to find answers about my time that could help in our fight against Ganon, but I doubt that the king will allow me to go on my own or without the approval of my superiors- he/she/they said, looking Zelda -... I would like your permission to go, I feel that ... It is something very important- y/n  commented -I don't know if my father can consent to an expedition, now that things have been more and more dangerous- the princess answered with some frustration and regret.

There was a long silence -What remedy, right? - Revali said interrupting the conversation, he placed a wing on the indicated point where that hidden room was located -If you need y/n not go alone, then fine- he took another wing to his chest -I will go too, but you must compensate me well for this- he said, looking askance at the sheikah.

Both Daruk and Mipha exchanged glances not very pleased by that proposal, Link even looked worried, Urbosa raised her head -I hope it's not a strategy to intimidate y/n- she commented.

Revali clicked his tongue. -What benefit would it give me to intimidate someone inferior? I would only be giving my humble help and with my permission it would not be necessary to ask the king for it- he snapped.

Zelda smiled a bit -Okay, be careful then, in the meantime, I will go with Urbosa to the gerudo region to adjust Vah Naboris precision ... Meanwhile, y/n will go on an expedition with the Champion Revali, if you need support send a letter to the ancient research lab with Purah and Robbie, the rest take care of your regions, if you detect more aggressiveness in the attack pattern of the monsters then feel free to send me a direct letter- she indicated.

She turned with y/n -When you finish your trip, come back with me, maybe that or that "Terrako" can be used for something with the divine beasts, okay? -

-When would it be good to return? -

-Two weeks, we will meet here for a general report- proposed the princess.

There was one or another exchange of words, agreements, arrangements, after all, the king was not stupid, they could not hide secrets from his person, when the meeting ended, Mipha was the first to leave, before doing so she approached y/n.

-In the Zora domain there is no library as such ... But there are many old engravings, if you need to make a stop there, d-do not hesitate to tell me- She said, clutching her hands to the trident, y/n smiled -I will in considerate it, prin--

-J-Just call me Mipha, like the others ...-

-Okay- the sheikah cleared his/her/their throat a little -I'll take it into consideration then, M-Mipha- the zora smiled in relief as if his/her/their  shyness were something that could have in common to continue interacting -a-also ...- Mipha began to say -I would like to know more about the zora of that time, you grew up in Lanayru because of what you told me, right?

A little more animated, y/n nodded -It will be a pleasure, if we don't see each other by then, I'll try to talk about it when we meet again in the palace- he/she/they said.

The princess of the Zora left with a huge satisfied smile, Daruk followed her, he only made a farewell gesture - Make sure that bird does not intimidate you, Little y/n! -

Revali crossed his wings looking away, Urbosa approached -Please take care of Zelda ... Make her have a good time, despite what we are experiencing- asked the warrior, the matriarch chuckled -I'll do my best to make her have a good time, I give my word-

The two smiled being in a silent agreement, the princess was the last to say goodbye -I really wanted us to have spent ... More time together, to talk about your trip- she said, looking tense, sad and frustrated.

She was probably feeling lonely again at that point, y/n smiled at her -When all this is over ... I want us to go to the festival, I still owe it to you- was the only thing he/she/they could think of to say, Zelda looked at him/her/them, even though y/n's intention was cheering her on, that hope that the kingdom would still exist by then squeezed her heart.

-O-Okay ...- she muttered and swallowed, Urbosa placed a hand on the princess's shoulder, she looked at her for a few seconds and took a deep breath to calm herself -We will go to the festival, when everything is over then- she said with more determination .

The matriarch left with the Hylian princess, talking about starting to prepare a small snack before leaving. Link waited for their voices to fade in the corridors to go with y/n, pulling out an invitation from his pouch.

-W-What is this? - Asked the sheikah as taking the envelope, he/she/they opened it immediately -Isha and Nill are getting married?! W-When did it happen? How? - y/n asked with great emotion, Link made a gesture with his shoulders -Isha asked me to give you this invitation, the wedding will be in a month, I ... I will ask King Rhoam's permission to attend, I'm sure that if you ask for permission, it will also grant it to you-

Revali couldn't help but intervene -What do you mean, you're also invited to that little wedding? Will I not get rid of you even there? - he asked, the knight remained calm -I will deliver Isha to the altar- Link limited himself to saying. Y/n stood between them, looking at the rito from the corner of the eye - Link is a friend of Isha , as you are of Nill, I could say that at least they will care if you two go, so I hope that in a month you will solve -WE will solve the three of our differences and thus be able to spend a pleasant afternoon with the couple- he/she/they said.

The two champions took at least three steps back from that conflict area, after that, the sheikah released them to start walking towards the entrance.

- Where do you think you are going?- Revali asked while walking with his new co-worker, so to speak, the bodyguard stopped. -We have two weeks to find out Satori Mountain's secrets, I always have my things ready. Or do you want me to wait for you? - He/She/They asked

-I am willing to tolerate you, but you will not tell me what to do, even with our new positions I am still your superior, you have no right to give me orders, if you want to breathe I will tell you how and when to do it, if you want to rest I will tell you "run "And you will have to do it, was it clear to you?- Revali said in a menacing voice, narrowing his emerald eyes, which seemed to continue to burn with hostility.

Y/n couldn't hold a hostile expression, it was too early and he/she/they was too tired to fight over stupidity, in fact his/her/their gaze crossed with Link's -I heard that is where the Lord of the mountain goes, If you find him... It would be good if you ask for all of us- the blond commented -I didn't indicate it on the map but I have a house in Hateno, it is the furthest away, you will be able to see it because it has a small stable, if you need shelter during your trip, just tell the mayor of the town that I sent you and show them the ring that you lent me the other time- he added.

The sheikah smiled a little, Link's silent and kind nature was much more comforting than the hostile and wild presence of the rito-Thank you Link-

-Let's go now! It's an order! - Revali exclaimed, taking y/n's collar cape before  he/she/they released the grip to follow him and made a farewell gesture with his/her/their hand to the knight before turning with the rito.

The general looked at him/her/them askance - Don't you want to get there as soon as possible? Satori Mountain is quite a steep and elevated place, it would have taken you days to go if you went with another champion-

Y/n was silent, looked forward as they continued walking -What? Are you not going to talk about it? You seemed very willing to talk yesterday- Revali scoffed. He/She/They didn't answer and continued without saying a word until they were after Ordon.

___ P.O.V  Y/ N ___

As we walked towards the citadel I could feel a heavy gaze on me, I stopped and turned my head to see King Rhoam from the highest tower of the castle, watching my steps.

-Let's go before he put you in the dungeon- the rito muttered, I raised my hand and made a goodbye gesture, I could see how Rhoam jumped before turning around and leave -What the hell do you think you're doing ?! - Revali asked alarmed.

-I won't let him intimidate me ... I will support you in your fight against Ganon on my own terms- I whispered, while getting on Ordon's chair, although Ordon seemed uneasy about having the general by my side -It's okay pal, he won't hurt us- I said while feeling his mane.

We followed the path and were in an awkward silence until we finally left towards the Hyrule plain -Okay, you will leave your horse at the Outskirt Stable because from there the road is also plagued with monsters- Revali commented.

-Why are you helping me? - I asked turning to see him, his words and actions did not match at all, it was so unpredictable that my senses screamed every time I saw him -So you are not a dead weight for all of us- he answered dryly .

The guy was not going to answer honestly, I just turned my eyes to the road, but I could feel him looking at me out of the corner of his eye from time to time, finally, in a quick movement he took down the swallow bow I had and started to analyze it carefully.

-You haven't used it! - He exclaimed with indignation -O-Of course, only a few times- I whispered -Very few times- he interrupted, pointing to the rope as the part where the arrow rested before being fired -It is supposed that this It should wear out, I was hoping that at least the string was a little loose and this part was scraped by the tips of the arrows, Don't you know how to use a bow? -

I went silent, I could feel him narrow his eyes -Yeah, you have the same problem as Nill, the two of you are surely twerp in archery-

-And just like Nill said, we have different specialties-

-I could accept that excuse from a royal guard but you're a higher rank than them- The rito snorted to interrupt me -Then tell me, what weapons other than the bow do you wield then? - I asked.

Revali puffed up his chest in pride -I am an expert in close combat, I can also handle the dagger perfectly, I am more or less skilled with the sword, the hammer but my pride is the aerial combat and the use of the bow- he recited, I looked at other side -Okay, Is already clear that you're much more skilled than me- I commented.

He gave me the bow. -Another thing I must teach you, it seems- he finished.

We arrived at the Outskirts Stable and after paying someone to take care of Ordon while I was gone, Revali waited for me inside the place with two dishes of the house specialty: Creamy Heart Soup.

"What a damn joke"

There was a heart-shaped piece of tender watermelon in our respective bowls. I sat down, it was a thin cream, it smelled like radish with milk and a hint of watermelon "Who puts fruit on a ...It doesn't matter, food is food."

After putting the first spoonful in my mouth my mood improved remarkably -Ah! It is very tasty! But why? They put fruit! - I commented to the air, even so Revali paid attention to me -Radish can be very sour, the sugar in the watermelon can counteract it and the salt highlights the meat and cream- he explained, apparently he was also on a better mood now that we were eating.

We didn't talk anymore, but because we were eating, it was anyway ... The first pleasant moment that I never thought I would experience with him, after all I couldn't stand the rito.

When we finished, one of the managers removed the plate to put a small circular tray that contained a muffin cut in two, with seeds, butter then two cups containing cold milk -Courtesy of the house, General Revali- he said.

The rito smiled pleased -How are you doing by the way? Have the monsters not attacked you anymore? - He asked as if it were a casual conversation, the manager was an old man with gray hair, brown skin and black eyes, he shook his head - No, since you destroyed those camps we have been at peace, you're an amazing warrior Revali- he said.

I listened to the conversation in silence, apparently if they weren't trustworthy, Revali didn't insult them or said sassy things to them, he only exchanged polite words, or simply made short answers.

At the moment the manager left, he gave me one of the cups and a piece of muffin -This looks so good- he said in wonder taking his piece. I took a bite of mine, it was warm, the butter mixed wonderfully with the salt from the seeds and the cane sugar, its texture was firm but smooth, I could see a small cloud of steam coming out of the bitemark my piece had.

The piece of the rito had a funny shape, it was a triangle and mine a half circle -And ... Do you always get things as gifts wherever you go? - I asked, Revali stretched his wing making a gesture of "More or less" -But I just do my job, the gifts have increased since I was named a champion, so I still haven't gotten used to it- he confessed.

I kept eating, my idiotic smile could be seen, how could a simple muffin taste so good? It didn't matter, if the food had improved my mood, that muffin had definitely made me happy along with the cold milk.

-What do you think of that wedding? Were you surprised because they are boyfriends of different species? - He asked, I shook my head - That was normal in my time, who doesn't want a nice love story? I don't know if those relations are natural on this era, what matters is that ... Their love is strong enough to face adversity, right? - I asked as taking out the wedding invitation to admire it.

It was handmade, with a drawing of the Tabantha's landscape and autumn leaf patterns, I could feel the love emanating from the piece of paper.

Revali cleared his throat quickly -Changing the subject ... I still have to show you that you can trust me, eh? - He asked, I wiped my mouth with my forearm, using my uniform's sleeve while putting away the invitation to look at him in the eye -Tell me... Do you still hate me? - I asked seriously.

He startled -What ?! - He seemed insulted by that question, even some present stopped their tasks when they heard the rito yell like that, I looked away -For me.. I don't know if I can trust you, you hurt me a lot...- I began to say, remembering with some pain the events of the past, I passed a hand over my arm, where I had my scars.

-Lots less do I know if I can forgive you, the past can't be erased for us to pretend that we can be decent co-workers, I think you even managed to make me- I went silent and looked away, I didn't know why it hurt so much to say it -You made me scared of you ... You scare me- I whispered, suppressing the lump in my throat.

He didn't said anything, he looked more uncomfortable than when he arrived at the library in the morning, the rito sighed as he stood up -I will go check that it is not full of monsters, I will see you there, we still have enough light to look for signs of the hidden room- he told me.

He got out, and took flight.

I looked at the empty tray. I had finally confessed to Revali that I was scared. Yes, Revali had repaired the kodachi that was so important to me, but his attitude, his aura, his everything shook me in a bad way.

I waited for him to be offended, but it seemed like it was something he already expected. I didn't see him the rest of the day, even though Satori Mountain was relatively small unlike the hills and plateaus ahead there was no sign of him.

I thought it would take me a short time but before each accumulation of stones that flooded the mountain, the greater my hopelessness was because they were small landslides or hidden things, there was nothing about the hidden room.

Night came before I knew it, I was at one of the mountain's top, where several dead pine trees rose intimidatingly, the air blew with some vehemence causing slight clouds of mist to come out of my lips.

I decided to light a small fire to warm my hands. I didn't want to return to the ranch, the road was already far behind and I was so close to find that place.

My eyes closed, when I opened them it was even colder, the fire had extinguished itself and in front of me, where a cherry tree grew on the banks of a small pond, an ominous light came out.

It was not necessary to obey the curiosity of my mind, instinct made me walk there.

Several rabbit-shaped creatures that seemed to have shiny fur were gathered in that small pond, and right in the center there was something that looked like a horse, but it was not an equine, its head was flat, with a mane of white hair that could barely be distinguished ... It had F-Four eyes ?! And it had a pair of ears that assimilated olive leaves, its skin was a bright bluish with various symbols along the body.

In front of it was Revali, who kept still, that thing already intimidated me.

It was the Lord of the mountain, face to face with the rito, he bowed his head, meeting his eyes with the general's, Revali gave a formal bow in response.

It would be a quiet moment and full of respect, however that creature noticed my presence, it began to run towards one of the stone clusters and disappeared before touching it, the other creatures also left, everything returned to darkness.

-I-I thought he wouldn't see me, I-I'm so- I started to say as approaching, feeling the shame invade my body, knowing that I had ruined that meeting.

-Forgive me- he whispered, interrupting me, he turned his head, seeing me out of the corner of his eye in a soft expression -I'm the one who have to apologize- he said in a clearer voice, turning completely towards me, that surprised me more than having seen a mythical creature -I made you so much damage that even now you are afraid of me, and I came to enjoy that fear, but now ...- he grimaced with his beak.

-I want to do things right, you're a warrior who has the fierce deity or not, you have proven yourself worthy of my respect- Revali looked away as if saying what he was saying was difficult, he walked towards where I was, stretching his wing  -Let me try, I'll do my best for make you to trust me-.

I was silent but carefully approached, I was going to say something but finally my voice could not come out, my hand reached doubtfully the rito's wing, it was like that occasion that we met again in his village, but there was no longer that invisible wall of ice that It seemed to surround him, I looked into his eyes as the fingers of his wing laced around mine.

-Then please take care of me ... And I will take care of you- I whispered with my voice shaking, still with great fear invading my chest.

Revali exerted slight force on our hand-wing grip, as if comforting me.

(Revali is determined to make things right, but you are still afraid of him and very distrustful, now that they arrived at the place there is no clue of the hidden room!)
