Delaney was pissed.

and slightly high.

she was on the proclaimed dance floor of the night.. Amerie Wadia's lounge room, dancing to maneater.

oh yeah. and she was dancing with Spencer White.

the two hadn't really spoken much, only drunk, smoked, and danced together.

"i hate this," She shouted over the music, before reaching up and running her hands through his hair, getting rid of the slicked back hairstyle. "thats better," she stood on her tiptoes to examine her work as he looked at her with a lazy grin on his face.

"i like your costume. first corpse bride one i've seen all night," He looked down at her, his arms on her waist as they danced to the music. the dancing stopped.. well, Delaney stopped when those words left his mouth.

"you know the corpse bride?" her jaw was practically on the floor, causing Spencer to look at her in confusion. "yeah? it's one of the best films in cinematic history," right then she wanted to kiss him, but she didn't, she just soaked up the moment.

"so, you.. Spencer White.. like tim burton?" the music was too loud for the conversation they were having. "yeah?"

logically, it made no sense. he was supposed to be all 'i only like footy because i'm a real man. real men don't like movies.'

but he wasn't.

"do you wanna go somewhere more quiet? so we can.. you know, hear each other better?" She slurred, tripping over her words slightly. "yeah, yeah sure," Spider shrugged, downing the rest of his drink before trailing after her.

the hallway was long, but the only rooms off of it were Amerie's siblings rooms.

room

bathroom

linen closet

ding ding ding

guest room

"here should be good right?" He shouted over the music, opening the door for her. the room was large with dark green walls and a double bed with a gold bed frame. it looked like something straight out of the block.

Spider shut the door behind the two, "i fucking hate this," he heard Delaney mumble, her head in her hands as she paced back and forth. he couldn't do much but lean against the door with his arms crossed and watch.

"stop doing that," she stopped her pacing once she saw he had a grin on his face. "stop doing what?" he asked. "being all 'oh i'm spider, im so tough and hot and funny and hot," Spider chuckled slightly.

"you think i'm hot.. times two," though it wasn't a question, it was a statement.

"you're doing it again!" she yelled, not noticing him walking towards her. Delaney mocked him "you think i'm hot.. times two', shut u-"

she was the one that was shut up. his lips were on hers. his hands cupping her face.

Delaney was frozen.

his lips were on hers

his lips were on hers

his lips were on hers

his lips were on hers

then they weren't.

he pulled away.

"shit, sorry, i didn't ask you, clearly it wasn't ok-"

her lips were on his now.

her lips were on his

her lips were on his

her lips were on his

the feeling was unlike any other. sure, she had been with other people before, she'd kissed other people, but not like this. it's like her whole life, delaney has been putting together a puzzle but couldn't find that one piece. it's been nagging her for years, she knew it was somewhere.

she just didn't know it was him.

her hands were in his hair, tugging at it ever so slightly as he cradled her face in her hands like some fragile antique piece. their lips fit together perfectly. they were the puzzle piece she had been looking for, for years.

his hands on her were the puzzle piece.

it was him.

"this makes no sense," she mumbled in between kisses as his hands roamed her body. 'yes it does," he smiled against her lips, his hands gliding up and down her back soothingly.

everything in their body language was saying yes, their bodies against each other, yes.

their mouths on each other, fuck yes

but she couldn't.

"i'm sorry," Delaney whispered, pulling away from him. "what happened? are you okay?" Spencer immediately thought of the worst. did he go too far did he do something she didn't like?

"i need to be completely sober when this happens," she mentally face palmed herself.

" i want to be completely sober when this happens," he looked down at her, searching her eyes for something. anything.

"i want to remember every touch, every word, every feeling i feel," Delaney explains, adjusting her corset, pulling it up slightly. "yeah no same, definitely," Spider cleared his throat as an awkward fog settled over the large guest bedroom.

the two gave each other once final glance. he gave her one final glance to see if she really meant what she said. she gave him one final glance to apologise for ruining the practically perfect moment.
