V1Y2-P2: Settlements and Confrontation

POV: Torikachi

Another night had passed, but I feel like it has been more than a week after such a confrontation with my "sister". I did not expect her to settle the confrontation so soon, even if it is right after the partner exam announcement. Now I just need to hope for the event not to get leaked to other classes, or things will be more troublesome for me in the future.
It could be my existence inside this world of You-zitsu that some events in the story changed, or having extra steps because of my interference in this world.

Now, with everything somewhat has been settled in stone, I will act accordingly to the plan that Kiyotaka and I made the moment they announce the exam.

For the most part, it was me who made up the counter-act against his bounty, as Nagumo already made it in the video recording I bought from the school's faculty floor a few days ago.
However, this happened to have a voice recorder, a better version than the previous camera, which happened to not have such a system implanted before the renovation of the student council last summer. I now have the option to expel Nagumo right now, since he has nothing more than a disturbance in the original plot.

My knowledge of this world is currently getting on the limited side, as I only knew what happened until Volume 5 Second year, so the rest is unknown to me.

The future after that is unknown, and even that, there is nothing guaranteeing me being safe inside this school for long.

So, by the time I still made my existence in this school, I will make all usages out of every resource I have, even if I might put myself at risk of expulsion.

Next morning...

I am feeling awkward today, and I happened to not take it to my liking.

Today is supposed to be a peaceful Sunday, where students would go in and out from their dorms to Pallet Cafe or the Keyaki Mall. At least that was what I was expecting it to be.

Even I happened to have a date with my girlfriend, Nishikawa Ryuko, as she asked me to go after she accidentally noticed my mood dropped drastically yesterday.

However...

"Ahh... So you happened to be Onii-sama's girlfriend...?" Asked a feminine voice that is not supposed to be ringing into my ears like wildfire at this moment.

"O...Onii-sama...?" Ryuko stuttered while wearing a shocked expression, gazing upon me and the girl simultaneously. "Tori... what is happening? Why is she talking nonsense...?"

My girlfriend's cute expression made me forget about all the worries I had yesterday, as I needed to calm her down and explain to her our current situation.

"Ryuko, this... is my younger sister..." I explained to her slowly as I made my attempt to not utterly confirm our relationship while facepalming.

"I thought you're an orphan?" Asked Ryuko, as I told her the fact before we begin stepping into our relationship.

"Ahh... so you have not told her everything yet, Onii-sama?" Asked the sister that I did not want to acknowledge. "I guess I have to explain to you..."

Shizu stepped closer to Ryuko, as the atmosphere around us change drastically.

"The truth is... he was left abandoned by them. I was told to not dive into the matter any further."

"Then... why? Why would they do that to their own child?" Asked Ryuko, who happened to be on the verge of tears falling down her cheeks, but I reassured her by tapping on her shoulders.
"It's fine. I no longer hold the grudges upon them." I told her. "There is no need for you to deep into this further."

"B...but... why do that? Aren't you sad that they left you?"

"It is true that they left me at Haru's Orphanage, which happened to get burned down a few years ago," I told her as if it was common knowledge. "I no longer wish to pursue to follow their path, as much as I hated to say it, Shizu will take care of it for the family's heritage..."
"Am I right, Shizu?" I turned my gaze toward the girl who was supposed to be the same age as me. "Have they told you about it?"

"As expected from Onii-sama." Shizu replied with a clap. "Even after Mother and Father's disowning your existence from the family, you happened to know pretty much every single thing happening in our life."

"But then... what REALLY happened at Haru's Orphanage, don't you know?" Asked Shizu once again, wanting to push the conversation even further in as many details as possible. "Why did it got burned down two years after your registration?"

"Didn't it got burned down due to low reputation?" Asked Ryuko, who is currently confused about the topic of an abandoned place I left behind. "I heard there were yakuza who happened to be at the place during the arson."

"Maybe, you could ask the last survivor of the arson about such details. He might be knowing a thing or two." Stated Shizu while landing her gaze on me. "Moreover, there is something I would like to ask you, Onii-sama..."

As Shizu attempted to make her leave, she turned around, calling her Brother, which happened to be me.

"Do you happened to wish to stay in this school, where you shall be enjoying the enrichment of youth, and to develop your emotions towards the girl you dared to vow?"

As formal as she seemed to be making, she as well has her intentions by the time she dared to see me in this world.

"What are you implying now, Shizu? A challenge of some sort in this school I once dared to lay my eyes upon? You should know that I am fully aware of the rules by now." I asked Shizu with my own eyes, as she seemed to dare to challenge someone who has the knowledge of this world, as she did not have any experience nor the knowledge same as I currently hold.

"I would wish you to not speculate such impossibility, as I neither have the power nor the knowledge you currently hold, at least things changed compared to your predictions, am I right?"

What Shizu said happened to be true. The moment I saw her at the ceremony... No. The moment I dared to stray myself into the designated future of this world, I am fully aware that there will be changes, sooner or later the more I intervene in the progress of the series.
"Get to the point already. What are your wishes for the upcoming special exam?" I asked. "I am sure you are here for a motive."

"Fine then. My only wish is to be paired with you in the upcoming exam." Shizu replied with a stern expression. "I am aware that you are still aware of my well-being, and I wanted to prove to you that I am not the person you think I am, Onii-sama."

I raised my eyebrows at the sentence she just said, doubting in confusion.

"Then, are there any chances that you will backstab me in this exam?" I asked another question with another question in mind. "I am doubting you for offering me a bold statement."

"That is why I am here to prove my innocence to you, Onii-sama. I will score for us to pass the exam together."

There are no ways to guarantee just from her words alone, as the pairing exam will hit a heavier blow to me than to the sister. Chances are if I happened to agree with her offer, I have no other choice but to hit 100 across the board, as 500 is the minimum requirement within five subjects.

I am fully aware of this is a risky move for me, as it will get the attention of all students. As I was already popular during my first year, getting even more attention will increase my difficulties in me acting in the future.

"How can I know if you dared to betray me? I would get expelled if you don't take the exam seriously, while you only get 3 months of no private points." I need to lie about my academic ability, as it would be helpful for my well-being and peaceful lifestyle in the near future.

"Fine... I think I got a glimpse of your wording, Onii-sama. If you happened to get expelled, then I will be leaving this school instead of you." She said.

Even though this could be the end for her, I do not see anything that could benefit me.

Moreover, I do not have a grasp of the fact if the Event Selection Exam has been altered because of her or not.

Even more than that, I also do not know if she dares to involve in the bounty hunt for Kiyotaka's expulsion for 20 million private points, which happened the day right after the special exam was announced. I did not get the chance to watch the tape, as Ryuko kept on taking me to all sorts of places.

"Tori..." Words can be heard from the girl standing next to me, concerning my expulsion. "Are you sure you wanted to take the deal? I couldn't bear the fact that you will get expelled. You have been silent for a while now."

"It's fine Ryuko. I am considering something else. There's nothing for you to worry about this foolish boyfriend of yours." I said to comfort her with a gentle smile. "You should know that your boyfriend won't do anything stupid."

As I said that while patting Ryuko's head, my gaze turned towards the girl while changing to a hostile expression. "I will take the offer with another condition. You will tell me everything that happened after my disappearance. EVERYTHING, I repeat."

There are reasons for me to know the reasons for the arson at Haru's orphanage a few years ago, as I am somewhat aware of them having their hands on the incident.

"Very well then. And if I do score above 90 across the board, I would like to know more about my future 'sister-in-law'." Said Shizu while laying her eyes on the girl next to me. "It could be important as you would have a chance to inherit 'their' riches."

While boys could still have a higher priority to inherit the remaining resources from their parents than girls, I had been left abandoned long ago, as if they were ready to disown me by the time I committed my selfish acts before.

"Ryuko, you want to get to know my so-called sister?" I asked my girlfriend in a gentle voice. "Because I can't imagine of me getting expelled."

"Hmm..." Ryuko took her time to think. "It's alright, Tori. Your sister seems to be honest with you, from what I think, I could hear some of her explanations later on about why she chose to pursue you."

"So, I guess the deal has been settled?" I asked. "I was hoping for more casualties struck towards the first years after this."

"W-what do you mean by that, Tori-onii-sama?" asked Shizu with a shocked expression. "You don't mean...?"

"Nothing. It's not from your class." I said the truth as there are no reasons to hide it. "I am making things easier for you to reach the top. And stop calling me by that name. I don't want to hear it ever again. Call me Onii-san or Tori-senpai is enough."

"I-I see..." murmured Shizu while putting her hand on her chest. "You still being a kind person that I always thought you would be until today."

"What do you mean by that?" I asked Shizu out of curiosity, as I am putting on a confused expression. "What do you mean by me being kind?"

"Your words might be cruel, but I could sense the protection you always give in your actions. You are currently stuck in a contradiction and misunderstanding of your personal point of view." Stated Shizu. "I am sure everything you did was to protect those you care about, just like how you are today."

"Spare me with the compliments." I snapped her words. "You knew that I don't deserve it, didn't you?"

"Onii-sama... You are always full of sight and virtue. You and I once lived in the same home, yet how we were treated is very different. You are always full of kindness and compassion, while a girl like me has nothing to return your favors."

"Enough. Save those selfish words of yours after the exam." I cut her off, pointing my finger at her phone. "I think your friends are calling you, aren't they?"

"Then I shall take my leave then, Onii-sama." Shizu recalled as she made her leave. "I am hoping to get to know the girl who dared to be your first love..."

"... instead of me."

The last three words were kept to herself, as I could not hear them from the distance we creating longer and longer until I could not see her figure again.

To be honest, there is still no guarantee for her to even admit to withdrawing from the school in the first place. If I leave now, then things will be difficult for Kiyotaka and Ryuko in the future the more Shizu dared to involve in this school.

I know that Ryuko still has questions for me about my so-called sister, as I could answer her later in the day. For now, it is my final resolve in order to achieve the perfect score in order for me to prevent expulsion from myself.

'Couldn't believe that I need to reveal my full strength so early on...' I thought as I continued my date with my girlfriend Ryuko.

================================================================================

Yahallo, everyone!!!

Yes, it's really been a while. Almost a year for me to get this chapter done.

I barely have many motivations to continue before since most of the time I play video games and haven't done writing much.

Yes, I spent my free time playing video games instead of writing fanfics. (Video game addiction mfs)

How have y'all been? Anything bad happened by the time I've gone missing?
I know that Y2V9 is coming up later this month, and boy, it looks sweaty AF because of Ichinose's leaked illustration.

Hmm... I thought I could have written a Kiyo x Honami one day, but I don't think it will be smooth compared to other fanfics.

Anyway... regarding this fanfic...

Let me check...

Ah yes... I ran out of drafts. So basically from this chapter onwards will be just me writing BS around the main plot with a bunch of twists our Tori-boy going to be making.

But fear not, my dear viewers. I now have some more motivations to continue this fanfic, but I won't be uploading as often compared to a year ago when I started out this fanfic.

Btw I would like to congrats my fanfic to reached nearly 60k views. It's been a pleasure to accompany y'all in this fanfic. I might have a sight idea for writing a reaction chapter about this fanfic after this chapter is uploaded.

I will see y'all in the next chapter.

PEACE!!!!!
