Description: Everyone eventually finds the truth about Jaehyun and Yuta. What is the two princes' fate when they get exposed by everyone?

(Medieval romance, angst, suspense)

"Oh bother.. I completely neglected the fact that my parents send out a servant to check on my condition every night."

"Prince Jaehyun, what can I do.. there is nowhere to hide in this place. He is going to s-see me and-and-"

"No no no.. I promise that everything is under my control. Umm.. let's see.. I would suggest that you take cover in the lavatory for now. I will make sure the servant leaves as soon as possible."

Yuta listened to the instructions and quickly entered the lavatory, locking the door with the key afterwards.

Jaehyun on the other hand had gone out to the hallway and was now attempting to make the servant leave but he was unfortunately quite stubborn.

"Your highness, are you sure that you are feeling good? You seem quite distressed.. did I interrupt you while you were resting? I could have sworn that I spotted you here, discoursing with someone else.."

"Well.. I was umm.. that was just another servant who had come to make sure I was feeling well. You are free to go, sir. He already left because he saw my condition was good."

"Another servant? But I remember that his and her majesty specifically sent me out to check on you tonight, your highness.. and if that was another servant, then why were they not dressed with our proper servant attire?"

Jaehyun was trying his hardest to seem convincing but seeing that his wit had started slipping further and further away as the servant kept on digging even deeper for more information had caused Jaehyun to eventually struggle to come up with any more lies.

"Your highness.. you are trying to cover something up from me. You are aware how his and her majesty feel about you doing things behind their back."

Jaehyun really didn't know what to say anymore so the servant literally entered the room while the prince was still struggling to come up with an excuse.

"No! Do not enter-"

It was unfortunately too late and the servant was now inside, looking at every little corner of the room for something out of the ordinary.

Everything seemed intact but it was still very odd that Jaehyun was in this random guest room since he would always rest in his own bedroom instead.

The prince kept on trying and trying to explain that there was nothing he was hiding and that he had just fallen asleep in here on accident but the servant did not seem to believe any of that.

When he finally wrapped his fingers around the lavatory door's handle he noticed that it was locked and that it was actually locked from the inside.

The servant turned his head the other way so he was facing Jaehyun again who was looking like he was on the verge of a crisis.

"Your highness? Why is this door locked from the inside? You could not have locked it yourself so that can only mean that there is someone hiding in there."

Yuta was currently hiding in the corner of the lavatory and panicking really badly. He could hear the entire conversation and he knew that if the man finds a way to enter, he is going to catch him.

"I.. well.."

"Your highness.. it would be the best to just tell me the truth. If you are hiding things from your servants and his and her majesty.. you know that you will be punished."

Jaehyun sighed in defeat as he put his hand on the door handle. He did not know how to proceed from here because he knew that this was going to be the end so he just knocked three times on the door, alarming Yuta that it was him this time.

The prince who was stuck in the locked lavatory gasped as soon as he heard the knocks, realising that they've been caught.

Yuta timidly made his way to the door and then unlocked it, opening the door really slightly while he was facing the ground in embarrassment.

As soon as the servant spotted him, his eyes widened and he took a step back to look at him better.

Both Yuta and Jaehyun were expecting the worst so when the servant stood frozen in his spot the two princes felt slightly confused.

"Who..who may this be? Your highness.. so now you are hiding a princess in the castle? His and her majesty were so concerned about the fact that you were unable to choose one, your highness... and now I accidentally discover that you have been sheltering this young lady without anyone's notice?"

Both princes were yet again speechless, not expecting that someone else was going to fall for Yuta's feminine appearance yet again.

Jaehyun was severely struggling to decide if they should just go with this princess narrative again or tell the truth to the servant.

The taller prince could see how uncomfortable Yuta looked and the thought of having to make him go through all of that all over again really made him feel miserable.

Jaehyun did not want for Yuta to be stuck in this huge lie, seeing how demanding it was for him.

But the issue was that if they were to tell the truth, Yuta was probably going to be banished from this kingdom forever and was most likely going to face huge trouble when his parents find out what he had done.

While the two princes were trying to come up with a plan for the time being, they heard a knock on the door which scared them both.

Who could this be in such a late hour?

The servant made his way to the door and when he opened it, it revealed Jaehyun's parents who were both carrying a concerned look on their faces.

The servant made a 90 degrees bow before he moved out of the way so they could enter the room.

Jaehyun has never been this scared in his entire life. He attempted hiding Yuta behind him but it was way too late because his parents had already spotted him.

The king's eyes widened at the sight of Yuta who was doing nothing but trembling like a little leaf while Jaehyun was still trying to protect him by holding him behind his back.

"Father.. mother.. to whom I own t-this honour.."

"Our son.. the servant we sent to check on you did not return to us at the agreed upon time so we had no other choice but to come and see how your condition was on our own.."

Jaehyun was feeling extremely ashamed and nervous, expecting his father to basically kill him due to the sight of Yuta who everyone knew was here by now.

"Now.. please tell us.. who is this young lady that is hiding behind your back and what could she possibly be looking for in our kingdom..?"

Yuta felt like crying at this point. The only time he felt happy that someone fell for his feminine appearance was when Jaehyun thought he was a princess.

But now, seeing how everyone was seeing him as one had started making him feel very uneasy, making him feel like his entire life had turned into one huge misunderstanding.

"This.. uhh.. this is.."

Jaehyun's stutter did not help their situation the slightest bit. When the taller prince heard Yuta whimpering and eventually starting to cry from behind his back, he felt like an actual monstrosity.

This was all his fault. He should have never even taken Yuta here in the first place. Now he was paying the price for his wrongdoings.

Jaehyun could not handle this anymore so he held Yuta's delicate hands and gently pulled him to the side so everyone could see him better.

The king and the queen did not know what to say and neither did the servant who eventually just excused himself out of the room because he felt like this was a matter he did not need to be present for anymore.

Yuta just kept crying and crying as Jaehyun eventually pulled him into his warm embrace and held his small frame carefully.

"Son.. it would be the best for you to tell us what is happening right now. You are well aware that you can not shelter anyone in our kingdom unless you have our approval.. how could you just take this young lady here with you and basically imprison her in this room?"

"No.. father.. this is not what it looks like.."

"It is not? Then what could you possibly be doing with this young princess? She clearly does not want to be here with you. Son, you are simply taking part in something illegal.."

Jaehyun was way too stunned to speak so he just stood there, accepting all of these accusations being thrown at him while trying to keep his composure but it had started becoming impossible to do so.

He eventually began tearing up as well as his now shaky hands were still trying to hold Yuta because he was afraid that he was about to lose him forever.

"I am so sorry, your highness. Our son did not mean to do any of this. We will have our servants escort you back to your kingdom once the sun rises.."

Yuta felt his heart drop when the king said this and pulled him out of Jaehyun's embrace. Not only had they both caused such a terrible mess but now he could no longer feel safe as well.

"No! Father, let go of her!"

"Pardon me? Did you perhaps raise your voice at me, son? You are one mistake away from me throwing you in the castle's jail. You have no right to order me or your mother what to do."

"B-but.. you do not understand.. this is.. not a princess."

"What are you talking about son.. you kidnapped this young lady and then forced her to stay in this room.. you thought that we would never notice? I do not want to even hear your reason for doing this."

"Yuta.. tell them.."

The king and the queen were more confused than ever right now but their confusion furthermore increased when they noticed Yuta attempting to escape the king's hold on him.

Yuta actually succeeded in freeing himself but accidentally fell on the bed in the process of doing that.

Jaehyun's parents immediately tried helping but Yuta moved back, refusing to be touched again.

He looked over at Jaehyun who looked embarrassed and defeated, realising that he had completely given up as well.

Yuta sniffled quietly and sheepishly stood up from the bed, making his way back to Jaehyun and holding onto his arm for comfort.

"I.. I am not a princess, your m-majesty.. I am prince Yuta f-from the Ruby kingdom.."

Jaehyun could already see the wrath that was building up on his father's face and the confusion in his mother's eyes.

"Pardon me.. you are.. who? You are a male? What could you possibly be doing here with our son!?"

Yuta got so scared from the sudden shout that he literally fell to the ground before Jaehyun could even catch him.

"Father.. this is enough. This needs to come to a halt. You have no right to shout at him like this.."

"I apologise, my son, but you expect me to remain silent and keep my composure when there is this grotesque bony little man in our kingdom!? How could you even shelter him without our knowledge!?"

"Father! I said this was enough! Stop! How could you say this about someone you do not even know.."

Yuta was scared for his life at this point and couldn't do anything else besides crying his eyes out and now having a panic attack.

Jaehyun could see how his mother was still remaining silent and was not even taking a part of his conversation he was having with his dad so he decided to seek help from her.

She has been the one who has always understood Jaehyun better and has always given him her support in everything, unlike his father who's heart was colder than stone.

"Mother.. please help me.. I.. I did not mean for any of this to happen.."

The queen eventually held her husband by his hand and pulled onto it which caused the king to finally put his rage to a stop for a second.

"My lord.. I am begging you to stop and to get a hold of your feelings for a moment.. You are not even making an attempt to hear what are our son is trying to say.."

Jaehyun thanked his mother with a bow after which he gently pulled Yuta to the front, his hands still holding onto his shoulders so the smaller could feel safe.

"This is.. this is prince Yuta. I stumbled upon him while I was taking a stroll in the nearby forest earlier today.. and just like You.. I thought that he was a princess.."

"... I wanted to shelter him because it was about to go dark and it would have been dangerous to stay outside.. that is why I had taken him here and to this room.. I accidentally found out that he was in fact not a princess.. and he tried running away and leave a couple of times when that happened.."

"... but I insisted on him staying here.. because.."

Jaehyun did not know how to continue his explanation because the risk of both of them getting kicked out or thrown in jail was literally 99% at this point.

"..because.. I-I liked him.."

That was the final straw for Jaehyun's father who had managed to keep his cool until now but hearing this come from his son's mouth had caused a new wave of rage to build up inside him.

The king literally grasped Yuta and stole him from Jaehyun's embrace which caused him, Jaehyun and also the queen to gasp in shock.

"No! Let go of him!! Stop!!"

Jaehyun could not take this anymore so he eventually went into a little battle with his father of who could take a hold on Yuta who was currently about to pass out from all this distress.

His delicate heart could not handle it anymore.

"Stop this immediately!"

Jaehyun flinched because he had never heard his mother raise her voice like this before. He could not even believe that she was capable of doing this.

He then watched as she took Yuta in her own embrace, holding him very carefully with a hint of motherly love in her actions.

"This was enough.. if our son has taken a liking to this young man.. then let him be. I have had enough of seeing how unhappy he has been ever since we started this search for a princess who could marry him.. Can you not see how he finally managed to find someone who makes his heart happy? If it is this young man then we should give them our blessing instead of doing the horrible things you just did.."

"But.. my lady, how is he supposed to protect our kingdom if he wants to be with this little bag of bones right here instead of marrying one of those 6 beautiful princesses he had the pleasure to meet with..?"

"You clearly are only concerned about the kingdom's safety and not about our son's life at all. Prince Yuta said he was from the ruby kingdom.. if our son wants to be with him, there is still a way for him to protect our kingdom and keep the peace between all seven kingdoms.."

The king had now lost all his words while trying to come up with yet another reason why he did not like this whole situation at all.

Jaehyun on the other hand was struggling to believe how his own mother protected both him and Yuta and even stood up against the king which was something Jaehyun never could have even thought he would witness.

"I apologise for everything. My husband has always found it a very difficult task to actually comprehend what our son wants.. and if he wants to be with you.. then You two have my blessing."

Yuta couldn't even believe that someone would even stand up for him like this, especially a member of the royal family as well.

He still couldn't even fathom how Jaehyun's mother could show mercy and understanding, knowing how unwanted he was in here from the very beginning.

The queen eventually let go of Yuta and watched as he made his way back to Jaehyun and into his arms again.

The taller prince held him tightly, refusing to let go off him ever again. He couldn't even imagine his life without him and he had only met him today.

"I am so sorry.. please forgive me.."

Jaehyun immediately apologised to the shorter while he was caressing his long and beautiful hair in order to calm him down a bit.

"I am not upset at you, prince Jaehyun.. everything is-is okay. This was all my fault for-for deceiving you like this.. so I understand why I was not wanted.."

While the two princes were conversing, Jaehyun's mother had attempted explaining to the king how important it was for them to support their son's decision even if it was basically going against all of their principles.

The queen had been feeling really distressed lately, seeing how truly unhappy Jaehyun was looking even after meeting every single kingdom's princess.

She could sense from the very beginning that her son was most likely going to deny all of the young ladies.

It was obvious that they were not what Jaehyun was looking for. So finally seeing him stand up for someone who he liked made her realise that it did not matter who Jaehyun would choose at all.

All that mattered was that he had finally found him and that this endless search was over.

"I am really sorry for raising my voice.. I did not mean to do that but I just felt very tense.. and I did not want to lose him a-again.. I would understand if Your wish is to kick both of us out of here.. but please.. I am begging You to let him stay with me."

Jaehyun was ready to do anything if it meant that he could spend the rest of his life with Yuta so when he went down to his knees everyone was left surprised, including Yuta as well.

After even more persuading from the queen, the king finally sighed in defeat as he faced the ground.

"Stand up, son. We have decided.."

Jaehyun quickly got back up on his feet and faced at his parents with a timid look, expecting the absolute worst possible outcome.

"If you think that.. prince Yuta is the one for you.. then you have our blessing. But, you will have to promise us that you will be able to bring these news to his kingdom as well and make sure that there is peace and harmony.."

"I promise.. I promise that I will do everything I can."

"But.. if you would like to marry h-"

"No no.. father, it is too early for that, I am afraid. Please give us some time.."

After successfully negotiating with his father to give him and Yuta some time to think about all of this, Jaehyun watched as both he and the queen left the room, leaving the two princes alone yet again.

As soon as they left, Jaehyun immediately picked Yuta's small frame up and held him up in his arms as he placed a gentle kiss on his forehead.

"P-prince Jaehyun.. I am feeling lost.. what did just happen..?"

"I think that we just won.. I thought that nothing good would come out of this but.. they-they allowed you to stay with-with me.."

As soon as that sentence left Jaehyun's lips, he noticed how tiny little tears had started leaving Yuta's eyes once again but this time, he could feel that they were from happiness.

"And they are not going to throw me in-in jail?"

"No.. they are not going to do that at all.. this is all because of mother.. if she was not here.. then we would have both ended in a cell.."

"Her majesty is really kind and caring.. just like you, prince Jaehyun."

Jaehyun finally let a smile appear on his face as he sat down with Yuta on the bed and just held him close, still struggling to believe that he managed to persuade his parents to let him stay.

"Prince Jaehyun.. but.. even if his and her majesty gave us their blessing.. that does not mean that our kingdoms will approve of this. What if they not like us together.."

"As long as there is peace and harmony and as long as you are here with me, everything is simply perfect."

Yuta pouted cutely as Jaehyun let out a soft chuckle and played with the shorter prince's hair, twirling the long locks with his fingers while his smile never left his face.

"My angelic prince.. I was able to make you stay.. so I hope that you would want to stay with me forever too.."

"I want to stay with you, prince Jaehyun.. but I am scared.. I am scared how my parents are going to receive the news and I am also afraid of the outcome. His and her majesty gave us their blessing.. but what about my father and my mother..?"

"I can assure you that they will be more than happy to see that you have finally found the one as well.."

The two princes spent some more time conversing and soon fell asleep together.

When it was finally a new day, Jaehyun opened his eyes and rubbed them softly. When he saw that Yuta was still sleeping in his embrace, he couldn't help but be the most thankful person on earth for managing to persuade his parents to approve of his decision.

After a few days had passed, Yuta had come to Jaehyun's kingdom yet again to bring him the good news of his parents showing approval and saying that as long as he was happy, then they would support him and be happy for him too.

It did not take a long time for the townspeople to learn about the two, showing mixed opinions on them at first but eventually growing to accept them together.

Just as Jaehyun had promised to his father, he came to him and the queen one day, sharing that he felt like he and Yuta were finally ready to take their relationship a step further.

After the public announcement, wedding preparations had finally started. Everyone was beyond excited about this but their excitement could not really compare with the princes' feelings.

Jaehyun wanted everything to be perfect, grand and fancy, fitting for a royal wedding while Yuta really wanted it to be more humble but Jaehyun had said that he wanted everyone to know about them and to be excited just as much as he was.

When the special day finally came, both of the royal families had gathered in Jaehyun's parents' kingdom and were present for the ceremony.

The ceremony itself only consisted of the two royal families and some servants but Jaehyun had planned on celebrating this special day properly afterwards with all seven kingdoms involved.

The taller prince was feeling happier than he's ever felt in his entire life, his smile never leaving his face even for a moment.

He was just standing alongside with his parents and was waiting for the love of his life to appear.

And when Yuta finally did appear, Jaehyun felt tears forming in his eyes at the sight of his beautiful angel approaching him and slowly walking down the aisle.

He was dressed in a delicate white silk suit, his long hair was tied in a beautiful ponytail and he was once again carrying that nervous but cute expression which would never leave his face.

When Yuta finally made his way to Jaehyun, he bowed to him and also his parents, his crown almost falling from his head but Jaehyun managed to hold it up on time for him.

The shorter was a bit clumsy but Jaehyun absolutely adored that about him. He's never had someone make him so happy before and the fact that he was going to be with him until the end was finally able to put his heart at ease.

After saying their vows, the two shared a kiss, Jaehyun holding Yuta by his waist while the shorter was holding onto the taller prince's shoulders.

When their lips finally disconnected everyone in the hall cheered. Jaehyun was more than happy that he had also received Yuta's parents' blessing as well.

He could feel nothing but love and joy right now.

After the ceremony had finally finished, much to Yuta's disapproval due to his anxiety, there was a huge ball held in the castle and every single kingdom's royal family had been invited.

Even if the 7 kingdoms did not really live in serinity, it looked like the happiness from the two newlyweds and their parents was contagious.

Soon everyone had started dancing and conversing with each other, as if this wedding really was all the kingdoms needed in order to finally coexist in harmony.

Jaehyun had requested a dance from Yuta and even if he was well aware how shy the long haired prince was, he insisted on doing it.

It actually turned out that Yuta was very skilled at ball dances for some odd reason which caused Jaehyun to stare lovingly at him for the rest of the night.

He was still unable to believe the outcome of their situation which had all begun purely because of an accident.

But maybe, it really was destiny just like Jaehyun had said. It was like the universe wanted them to meet and be together.

Now not only were both of them finally feeling happier than ever but the kingdoms' safety and peace were also secured.

"I love you so much, my angelic prince.. may I call you my love from now on?"

"Your l-love? I like how that sounds. But what am I supposed to call you then, prince Jaehyun?"

"Hmmm.. just call me Jaehyun."

Yuta pouted cutely which made Jaehyun chuckle and kind of mess up the steps of their dance they were doing right now.

"Are you feeling happy, Jaehyun..?"

"Yes, my love.. I have never felt happier in my life. The fact that I now finally have you in my arms without the need to hide from everyone.. my heart feels at ease."

Yuta smiled shyly as he used his tiptoes to elevate his body a bit and give Jaehyun a soft and delicate kiss on his lips.

Whenever Jaehyun was with him, it felt like it was only the two of them in this world. Every time they would share a kiss or just spend time with each other, all of the people around them would magically disappear.

"My one and only.. never leave my side.."

Was the last thing Jaehyun said before he and Yuta went into yet another dance, moving slowly and gracefully while all the people around them were looking and smiling at them.

"I would never.. even in a million years. I love you so much Jaehyun."

The end
