☆ Let's go for dinner, my treat. ☆

-

Before long the five of you had reached a hotel for the night. The Speedwagon Foundation had a ship on its way, but it wouldn't be in the harbor until tomorrow morning.

While Mr. Joestar was sorting out stuff at the front desk, you were left marveling at the expensive looking lobby.

You were pretty sure that if you did so much as knock over a vase, you'd be in debt for the rest of your life.

Mr. Joestar walked back to the four of you.

"There's three rooms. Avdol and I will share, so one of the three of you will have to be alone."
The three of you looked in at one another. There was tension between the two boys, like they were having a silent argument.

"I'm fine rooming alone," you spoke up.

"But Akira, what if someone else attacks? Will you be alright fighting alone?" Kakyoin asked.

"I'll be fine," you assured him.

Mr. Joestar hands out the keys and you all head to your rooms. They were all just down the hall from each other, so you weren't ridiculously far away.

Once you got to your room, you fixed your hood and looked around for any stand users.

You walked to the curtain on the other side of your room to open it. Once you pulled it back, you discovered a balcony outside. You smiled and grabbed your cigarettes.

You opened the door and walked out.

The view overlooked the sunset and the city skyline. You understood why they called it the 'million dollar view'. It was absolutely breathtaking. You leaned on your railing and just took it all in.

After a few minutes of being alone on your balcony, you got lost in thought.

'DIO'

All your previous questions came back to your mind.

You regret knocking Polnareff out as opposed to restraining him.

You put out your cigarette and walked back into your room.

You started to write out questions on the notepad in the room. Organizing them into piles and going from there would be the easiest way to do this. You'd rip the papers off and let them fall to the floor. You quickly ran out of paper.

You let out a sigh.

You were gonna have to get some from one of the other's rooms.

Mr. Joestar and Avdol would have told you to stop trying to get answers.

Jotaro and Kakyoin would've most likely been confused, but wouldn't question you too much about it.

The choice was obvious.

You grabbed your key and headed to their room.

After a short walk down the hall, you were there.

As you were about to knock, the door opened revealing the two.

"Hey, Akira, we were just about to go to your room," Kakyoin said.

"Oh, really? Why?"

"Why are you here?" Jotaro returned the question.

"Touché. I wanted to know if you two had any paper in your room I can use."

"I'll check," Kakyoin offered, and he went to look.

"Why were you two coming to my room?" You requestioned Jotaro.

"We wanted to see if you wanted to walk the city with us."

"Ah," you nodded your head.

"So, do you want to?"

"Sure."

You weren't sure why you said yes. You had so much work to do, so much to think about . At this point, who knows when you're going to get to Egypt?

Kakyoin had come back with a notepad from the room and handed you the paper.

"Thanks," you directed your attention to Kakyoin. "Kujo told me about going out and I'm in. I just have to go to my room first."

You started walking and motioned for them to follow.

Upon arriving to your room, you chuckled, "Ignore the mess."

The papers from before were littered on the ground. You stepped over them to get to your bed that had your clothes laying out on it.

You turned to see the other two in the room looking through your strewn around papers.

"Any answers?" You ask.

They shake their heads.

"How are you able to come up with all these questions when we barely have anything?" Jotaro asks.

"Well, I guess my brain just never stops."

"Why did you write all of these out?" Kakyoin asks.

"I thought that if I wrote them out and spread them out, I could use the other questions to find answers. Looking at it now I don't think it's going to work. Like I told Avdol back in Japan, it is and it's going to be a never ending cycle with a growing amount of questions and barely any answers. So far I only have two answered. I don't even know where to begin for the rest-"

The two were staring at you.

"Don't stress yourself out like that, we still have time. The answers will come eventually," Kakyoin assured.

You side smiled. "You sound just like Muhammad."

He chuckled in response.

"We should probably get going" Jotaro said.

"You're right, let's go."

You all headed out the door and locked it behind you.

-

The three of you walked the streets telling stories. Well, it was mostly Kakyoin telling the stories while you and Jotaro occasionally added snarky remarks.

While Kakyoin's stories were mostly about his travels, yours were out of the box to say the least.

It was getting late, and you started to get hungry.

"I'm hungry"

"Same here" Kakyoin asks.

"Let's go for dinner, my treat."

-

The three of you were sitting at a table inside an expensive restaurant, looking through the menus.

"Uh, Akira," Kakyoin starts, "Are you going to be able to afford this?"

"It's not cheap," Jotaro adds.

"Don't worry, I have my ways. Just get whatever you want."

When the waiter came back around, the boys reluctantly ordered.

You leaned back in your chair while the three of you talked.

"So, Akira," Jotaro begins, "How are you paying for this?"

You had an evil smile "You'll see, you'll see..."

Jotaro huffed and leaned on the table.

After a little longer of the three of you talking, your food arrived.

You all dug into your food.

"Y'know," Kakyoin spoke in between bites, "I don't ever think a meal this expensive before"

You and Jotaro hummed agreeing.

In time the three of you finished your meals.

The waiter walked over and set the bill down.

"watch and learn," you say while taking out a checkbook from your pocket.

They watch as you fill out the check.

As you're writing the signature, Jotaro scoffs in amusement.

"Really, Akira?"

You hum a yes, and Kakyoin looks at you two confused.

"What?" He asks.

You flip the checkbook to show him what you wrote.

He laughs in response.

The signature of none other than Joseph Joestar was on the line.

"How did you get his checkbook?" Kakyoin asks.

"More importantly, how can you do his signature so well?" Jotaro asks.

"This isn't my first rodeo, I've made several purchases under his name without him knowing," you say with an evil smile. "Let's just hope he doesn't notice it's missing before I can return it."

The waiter comes and takes the bill. When he opens it, his eyes widen as he thanks you and walks away.

"Always tip heavily," you told the other two.

-

Once you arrived back at the hotel, you walked to your room to resume the work you'd done previously.

A knock on your door disrupts you.

"It's me, Akira," Avdol's booming voice says from the other side.

"It's open," you respond.

He walks into the room, closing the door behind him.

"We need to-" He notices the mess and all the papers around your room. "We'll talk about this later, but first, what were you thinking earlier?"

"What do you mean?"

"The fight against Silver Chariot."

"I didn't want you to have to face him again. Plus, we're on a time crunch now. My stand could've finished his off easily."

"That's not the point, Akira. You could have seriously injured yourself."

"But I didn't."

"What if you did?"

"When it comes to things like that, we aren't in a position to ask 'what if'. We won, that's what matters. And even if I did get injured i would heal myself. I feel fine-"

"No matter how you see it, you could have gotten yourself killed. You were being reckless."

"By being conservative in these situations you have no chance of winning, Muhammad."

"You're not immortal, Akira. One of these days you'll get an injury you can't fix yourself."

"I'll wait for that day to come, and I'll handle it then."

He sighed in frustration.

"For someone who constantly thinks about everything and every possible outcome, you don't seem too concerned at the moment."

"I don't care about what happens to me, just about what happens to everyone else in the group. We need to kill that wrinkly, old ballsack as quickly as we can. None of us are in any position to focus on ourselves."

He chuckled.

"You're the most stubborn person I've ever met, Akira."

"I don't plan on changing."
