Now ONWARD!
(Y/N POV)
I walked confidently through the streets of the crowded city, taking in all the people around me. My (F/C) tail swished behind me, and my ears twitched. I'm what you call 'sassy'. I've won countless smack-down battles, and I've even sent some of the toughest guys home crying. In this city, smack-downs are different. They're a test of strength and wit. So basically, all you do is say mean comebacks to each other until one person either has no comeback, or gives up. I'm quick with my words, and I always have a comeback. I've always won using my charm and attitude. People see me as a sly fox.

So a sly fox I'll be.

I spotted a demon walking through the crowd with a wolf at his side. 'He looks like he'll put up a good fight. Let's see, he looks like a player, no doubt about that, and what's this? Expedition clothes? Even better. Finally get some excitement in my life.' I made my way over, then when I was about 5 feet behind them, I switched to 'innocent girl' mode. I flattened my ears and lowered my tail, hiding my hands in my sleeves. I kept my head slightly down, and put on a shy, timid expression. I walked up to the demon, and asked shyly "U-um, mister, I-I was wondering... c-can I challenge you to a smack down b-battle?" He grinned at me, and took my hand "Why of course, pretty lady." I mentally cringed, and the wolf just face palmed while sighing. 'Yup. Definitely a player.' I kept my act up though. "A-are you ready? And d-don't go easy on m-me. I w-won't cry..." he cleared his throat, and said "I don't know if a timid toddler like you can handle a smack-down. You might end up crying and chickening out!" I dropped my act, and rolled up my sleeves. My ears shot back up, and my tail lashed behind me."Are you sure I'm a toddler? Cause with your height, you could pass as a newborn baby." I said smugly. The demon looked shocked, and I just smirked in response. "Looks can be deceiving, can't they? Especially in your case. Just how old ARE you?" He regained his composure, and said back smoothly "Clearly older than you. Height isn't everything. And just how old are YOU? 10?"

'I've finally met someone worth while.'

"For your information, I'm actually 18. And I look the part as well. Can't say the same for you. Are you gonna grow up to be like daddy? Are you gonna adventure all over the world, and help people?" I saw him falter slightly when I said this. 'Interesting...'
"I see I've struck a nerve. Let me guess, either you or your brother have some disease that needs to be healed by some magical force of nature. So your on a quest for it, and along the way you meet bad guys and friends who either help or harm your chances or finding it. Oopsie, did I hit another nerve? Sooo sorry." I placed one hand on my hip, while my tail still swished behind me. He just stood there, in shock.
'I guess he's just like all the others... oh well. At least he wasn't that boring.'
"Y'know," I said striding over to him. "I don't think you were ready. Demon boy." I was about an inch taller than him, though we were the same age apparently. So me flicking his forehead wasn't that hard. "I think it's best if you don't judge a book by its cover, am I right?" He just held his forehead where I flicked him, and glared at me. I continued on "So, since I won, you guys have to do me a favor. Let's see..." Demon boy sighed in defeat, and the wolf flicked the back of his head. The wolf said "Welp, this is between you two, so I'll just be over here..." he scooted about 2 feet away, and just gave us both a thumbs up. "Ah! I know! You guys can take me along on your journey!" Apparently, the wolf heard me, and gasped. Demon boy growled at me, and I just sneered back. "You're the one who was stupid enough to agree to a smack down with a stranger. And rules are rules~" He glared, but said coldly "Fine. Just don't get in the way. And plus, don't you have a house or something you need to get stuff from?" I crossed my arms and looked to the side. Watching the people walking around the sidewalk was very interesting. "Homes are overrated. So is family. I don't need them to survive." I watched him from the corner of my eyes, as his glare softened. I turned back to him, and smirked. "So are we going, or what?" Boris scampered over, and said excitedly, "She's coming with us? Yay! Someone new! I'm Boris, and this is Bendy!" 'Boris' introduced. I nodded, and asked "So what are you guys on a quest for?" Boris's smile faded, and Bendy tenses up. Bendy turned around and started walking, muttering "I'll tell you later. Not here." My ears twitches in annoyance, and my tail started swaying from side to side behind me. Boris looked worriedly at the spot where Bendy used to be, then turned to me with a nervous smile. "Let's um, catch up to him. I'm sure he'll tell you later! Just know that it's something personal... so please don't laugh or make fun of him." My tail stopped moving, and instead just hung behind me. I smiled genuinely at him, something I haven't done in a long time, and said softly "Of course I won't laugh, Boris. I'm not that heartless." He smiled back at me gratefully, then exclaimed brightly "Then let's catch up to him! We don't want to get left behind!" He started running to catch up with his brother, and I chuckled. I just calmly followed the two of them, walking while putting my hands behind my head.

'This quest is going to be fun.'
