Before shit hit the fan I wasn't very popular. I was just Hershel and Annette Greene's daughter that moved out right after high school. I moved out after my mom died, she was my world, My absolute rock. Nobody in my family ever really heard from me after she passed. 

I was the second oldest of four, it definitely had its perks. But, I was their role model, after all, I had to be a decent sibling. And when the apocalypse first broke out, I moved back in with my Dad, Maggie, Beth, and Shawn.

"(Y/N)!" my dad called from downstairs as I was doing my hair, I try to keep it tidy, even in the apocalypse.

I rushed downstairs to find a young boy being carried in by a handsome man in a sheriff's outfit, they both seemed to be hurt, the boy more than, what I'm assuming, was his father.

"Please, please help my son, Carl, he needs help" 'Carls' father said.

"What happened," I inquire, quickly jumping to action on the boy's wounds.

"He was shot by your man!"

"Otis?" Patricia asked. looking at Otis, his face sweating in worry as he looked from Patricia to my dad, then to me, before finally looking back at Carl.

My dad looked at me with a worried face. "(Y/N), honey, I need you to help me with the procedure. I can't do it alone."

 I had gone through my Freshman year of Medical school about a year before this all started, and had always worked with my dad on the farm. I still had five years before I got my diploma, but I knew enough to try and perform an extraction. Coupled with my dad, we were a pretty good team.

"daddy we don't have any anesthetic," I said.

"I know; Otis will you go get some?" Daddy asked.

"No, I'll go." A man with dark brown hair emerged, standing next to Otis.

"Do you even know what the stuff my dad is talking about looks like?" I snarled at his ignorance.

"Now that I think about it. No" The man said quietly, Backing down and looking at his feet.

"Exactly, Otis does, and you should go along to protect him," I said.

And with that, they went out the door.
