act five — the end
(🥥🕊👶🏼🐞)

five more chapters left 🥲

after the race in monaco, things were starting to fall together for the little family. everything was finally starting to make sense, even if it took longer than it should have but it was better to take your time with things than rush them and ruin it completely. which is why lando and thea took their time in rebuilding their relationship and it payed off terrifically for them. they were able to exist in a world where they only bickered instead of having full blown arguments, where they did what was was best for themselves and their children and where they love and trust one another; all thanks to monaco.

fate had brought them back together.

however, a few months had passed since we last saw thea greene and lando norris but not much had changed. the only thing that changed was that thea was currently in labour. the only thing that she hadn't missed about being pregnant, actually pushing the baby out; she'd done with it louis, she had to do it with rosie and now with the new baby. and of course, since the last time she'd gone through this experience, the outcome was quite possibly the worst one as she didn't get to hear her baby's first cries or feel her little heartbeat against her chest.

despite how much she wanted to think of all of the what if's regarding rosie and the miscarriage, she knew it would be best to focus on delivering the baby. lando had been amazing to her so far by doing almost everything that she asked of him; he got her ice when she wanted it, he told her words of reassurance and support when she looked like she needed it and he even left her alone when all she wanted was some peace and quiet.

and just like she had done when in labour with louis, she had curled her hair once again. "thea, love, are you curling your hair?"

"it's a tradition now, lando, i did it with louis and i'm not stopping now." tyra looked at his reflection in the mirror as she held a piece of her hair around the curler, a contraction coming along making her squeeze her eyes shut for a few moments.

"you look beautiful no matter what you look like, we're only meeting our baby."

"exactly." thea told him like it was the most obvious thing in the world, but to her it was. "we're meeting our baby for the first time and first impressions are important."

"i haven't gotten done up to meet the baby,"

"i know, i can tell, have you showered today?" she joked, a smirk on her face as she saw the look of playful offence on his face, earning a light giggle from her. "i'm only joking with you. i just want everything to be perfect."

"and everything will be perfect." he came up behind her, resting his chin on her shoulder as he reached his arms around her waist so that his palms were resting on her large stomach, slightly feeling the imprint of his daughters feet. "plus, she's got you as a mum so i'd say that she's winning in life."

"you really want me to start sobbing right now, these hormones are no joke."

it wasn't long until it was actually time for thea to start pushing, this labour and birth being much quicker than her previous ones which she was very grateful for, she just wanted to hold her daughter in her arms as soon as possible.

"you're doing so well, thea, i can see her head but i just need one more big push. lando, do you want to come and look?" alice looked up and smiled, trying to hold in a chuckle from the look of grimace on the mclaren drivers face.

"i'm alright thanks, i don't want to be put off for the rest of my life." he laughed, just like he'd done with louis so he stayed towards the top area, really not wanting to see a baby come out of a vagina, even if it was his own daughter.

"you might aswell look because we are never having sex again." the blonde sucked in a breath as she continued to push, quickly looking at lando, who's face had now dropped even more.

"please say you're joking." he chuckled slightly, before walking to the foot of the bed to see the top of their daughters head, her brunette hair being the first thing he saw.. "oh my god, she's massive."

"really not helping, lando." thea told him, alice failing to stay professional as she let out the laugh that she had been holding in but she knew that lando and thea wouldn't take it to offence as they were quite comfortable around one another.

"right, sorry, love." he made his way back over to her, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead that was now gathering beads of sweat. "it was big though but i do know something that will distract you."

"what's that?" thea breathed out after holding her breath fur ten seconds, squinting her eyes in pain as she tried to distract her mind from the pain, the choice to not have an epidural really catching up with her now.

"a song." he said happily, his words causing thea to look at him strangely as she silently questioned how that would help when he wasn't the best at singing. "i know what you're thinking but trust me, it's a good one and you'll like it."

"dear gold, help me." she mumbled to herself as he cleared his throat, the action making thea playfully shake her head as alice raised her eyebrows at the scene. despite the many years of being in her profession, she'd never experienced something quite like this with any other patients.

"super, super max, max, max." lando began to sing the dutch song that supported max verstappen, only stopping when the sound of a baby crying filled the room, thea letting out a sigh of relief at the sound. all of the pain and waiting nine long months had been worth it as soon as she was placed on thea's chest.

"oh my god, lan." thea could feel the tears streaming down her face as she held her daughter close to her, her feelings and emotions in this moment being completely indescribable but this was something that she'd waiting for for so long. "she has got a big head, hasn't she?"

"our daughter is a max verstappen fan." lando said, his tone of voice almost sounding distracted and by the change of look on his face, thea instantly knew what he wanted to do, plus she had seen it in his jacket pocket earlier.

"lando." she got his attention, a smile on her face from the endorphins that she had released after giving birth to her daughter. lando seeming to physically relax when he saw her face, a sense of confidence washing over him as he realised that she wanted this as much as he did. "ask me."

"thea greene, will you marry me?"
