9.You're All I Need

Alaska's POV:

I feel loved. I feel as though Tristan and I have become closer than we could ever have imagined. Even when we were making love he never hurt me, always gentle, he always kissed and whispered he loved me.

The way his breath tickled my skin and how his strong hands held on tight to my body made me realize how much of a man Tristan had become. This man I was in love with as a child. This man I am still in love with.

And I will do anything to get him back.

Afterward, we laid down, catching our breath, and holding each other because we knew we had to go separate ways. Him to her, me to wherever. Yet we knew that we were meant for each other. Nobody else believed us.

"Tristan?" I asked sleepily.

"Yes," he smiled, kissing at my neck.

"Claim me," I said holding him tightly. "Mark me. Show everyone I am yours."

"I would love to," he said, bringing himself closer. Then he paused. "Alaska, I just want to warn you. I know that we love each other, but if it begins to burn, its because you aren't my mate."

"It won't burn." I sighed as I guided him closer to me. "I know I am your mate."

Then his teeth broke through my skin.

Tristan's POV:

After last night with Alaska I have been dying trying to find time to find her. I didn't know that claiming and marking my mate would leave me with such need. When we had left that room, I knew everyone could smell her scent on me which I proudly wore.

"Tristan?" Liz's voice came from the kitchen. "Tristan can you come here?"

"Ok," I had said cautiously. If she knew I had slept with Alaska, a room full of knives would be the last place I would ever want to talk in. "What's up?"

"I know what you guys did," she said facing the sink. "Why?"

"Because I know she's my mate," I said, and her lack of reaction showed me she knew.

"But now my mate will die," she said before breaking down in tears.

I stood back, surprised at what she just told me. "What? Your mate?"

"A humble and lowly omega," she sighed dreamily. "I love him and he's my mate."

"Then why did-" then I noticed something. Her scent. "What the hell is going on here?"

"Please listen to what I have to say first," she cried as she threw her hands on her head. "Don't kill me."

"We're going to walk over to the Alpha's house right now to figure this mess out."

As I pulled her along her whimpers disappeared before leaving the door and she stopped. "We are being watched. Make it look like were in love or we'll all end up dead."

So I held her close, kissed her forehead, and held her hand as we walked along. Her sweet yet sickening vanilla bean scent had long disappeared leaving me in a giant state of paranoia.

What the hell is going on here?

Alpha Malcolm's POV:

Alaska had been running around the house happy and full of energy. Maybe she found her mate at the Greenwood party. I truly hate that Tristan wasn't her mate. The way he was double over in pain from her scent made me realize he was in denial of Parker's girl.

"Hey Dad," Alaska stopped looking out the window. "Tristan and Liz are coming."

"That's good, honey," I forced a smile as I saw the look of hatred on her face for the girl.

"Justin can you get the door?" Alaska asked.

"Sure Princess," he sighed as he got up off the couch. "Tristan?"

"Yes just-"

Then he opened the door and forcefully pulled him in bringing Liz in as well. He threw Tristan in a chair in the hallway and stood over him, growling.

"I SAW YOU LAST NIGHT AT GREENWOODS PARTY!" He shouted. "YOU BASTARD!"

"Justin!" I shouted pulling him away. "An Alpha controls his anger! What is going on here?"

"HE SLEPT WITH ALASKA!" Justin shouted.

"You what?" I asked my eyes shooting daggers at Tristan. "You did what?"

"Dad please," Alaska whimpered, pulling my arms away from the chair Tristan sat in. "Dad!"

"Liz is your mate and you have been sleeping with MY little girl? I ought to banish you now," I threatened. But then Liz spoke and all the air vacuumed from the room.

"I'm not his mate. Alaska is."

Liz's POV:

"What do you mean?" Alpha Riverwalk had asked backing away from Tristan. "I was there when he left my daughter for you."

"I know," I sighed sitting down. "That was the idea. That you would be there so there was no doubt that he was my mate."

"But why?" He asked.

"Because my father is planning to attack."

"Attack?" He asked pained that my father would try this.

I nodded. "I never wanted to be apart of this plan. But my father had always used me however he found it fit. He groomed me for an Alphas mate and what my role was. You should have seen the disgust when I found out my mate was an omega."

I began crying. My mate was going to end up dead now because I was spilling out the truth. But I had to tell Alpha Riverwalk.

"The reason I am telling you this is because I know my father won't keep my mate alive long especially because I failed my task."

"What task was that?" Justin asked.

"To infiltrate your pack and to turn Tristan against you," I laughed when I smiled at Alaska. "What we didn't expect was you."

"What do you mean by that?" Alpha asked, truly intrigued by what I'm saying.

"Well my father was grooming me for Justin," I said, feeling disgusting. "But when he saw Alaska, he wanted Andre to have her fall for him. He thought his plan was fool proof. Until I found my mate."

"And here I thought that meeting was to fortify our existing peace," Alpha had forced a laugh while pacing. "That conniving snake."

"Now that you know I am begging you to overthrow him," I cried. "He won't keep Tom alive much longer. He wants to build an army and destroy all our omegas."

"We will try," Alpha had comforted me. "We will prepare for battle immediately."

Alaska's POV:

My gasp was audible only to Tristan as my father declared war on Greenwood. My heart began to tremble as I looked in Tristan's eyes. Tristan had always put his life on the line for my brother and father. But what if this time he doesn't make it?

"Alaska," Tristanย  started as he walked toward me.

I didn't want to face this talk. So I ran. I ran as fast as my legs would take me until I reached the river. When I sat, I began the new editions to the river: my tears.

Alaska, I heard. When I looked behind me, I saw Tristan in wolf form. Please talk to me.

"I don't want you to go," I began crying again. "Please Tristan, stay with me."

You know that my responsibility in this pack is to protect alongside the Alpha. Justin is our future Alpha so I will protect him as well. While protecting them, I will also protect you. Keeping them as far from you as possible. He finished as he sat by me.

"What if you don't make it this time?" I asked, tears marking their way down my face. "What will I do without you? We haven't even been able to make public our relationship yet!"

I will do anything to protect you and that even means fighting to protect you.

"Run away with me," I pleaded. "You're all I need."

We can't run away from problems Alaska, he sighed and laid his head on my leg. You're my everything and I will do everything to protect you.

"I'm going to your house tonight," I sighed. "And nothing you say will stop me."

I wouldn't try, he smiled.

"Become human again so I can kiss you," I smiled weakly afraid I would cry again.

Um, he said sitting up. My clothes ripped as I shifted so I'm... Not.. Clothed.

"Its not like I haven't seen you naked before," I smiled.

Yeah I know you have, I just don't want the rest of the pack to know what I look like naked. He got up and nudged me. Let's go home then.

*********************************

As we got to Tristan's home he shifted back. I snaked my arms around his neck and held him close. His lips kissed his mark be left and sucked lightly. Not wanting to ruin our moment by crying, I kissed him, long, hard, and passionate.

"Tristan," I moaned in his ear. "I love you."

"I love you Alaska," he smiled against my skin. He trailed butterfly kissed on my neck and chest. "This better not be a plan to make me stay and not go to battle."

"Depends," I moaned. "Is it working?"

"It might be," he whispered before he turned off the lights.
