Marines Are on the Move!

After reading the latest chapter of the manga, all I will say is.... yes. Yes.

"Sorry to keep you waiting!" Kinemon said as the sack of food he brought back for the day went slack on the table. It was an assortment of meat, bread, and fruit. I had the urge to offer the loafs of bread to Law, but I stopped myself. I'm not that annoying... yet.

Luffy, who'd been sleeping for a while now, a few days actually, took a big whiff of the food from his bed, "Food?" He got up and sat at the table with his eyes still closed, inhaling some food.

"I thought you were sleeping!" Usopp yelled.

"The Navy might come at any time. Let's hurry and eat," Zoro told us. I sat beside Luffy and started eating one of the apples. Everyone made their way to their seats as well and began eating before Luffy could take it all.

Kinemon started talking about his trip to the rebuilding city of Dressrosa, continuing with: "Boy oh boy... And all they kept talking about was how Rebecca-dono's father is a prince of some country. Right?" he confided in his friend, Kanjuro.

"Right," the brightly dressed man confirmed.

"What's that?! That's a strange story!" Luffy exclaimed. He fell asleep for 2 seconds and then woke back up, "And I'm sad because Sabo's gone!" He stuffed more food into his mouth and sniffed up some snot that was coming out due to his watery eyes. "We gotta catch up with Sanji's group, too, in a hurry!" One of his eyes closed and a snot bubble formed from him falling half to sleep again.

"Be mad or cry or rush or sleep or eat! Do one at a time! You're so restless!" Zoro scolded, irritated by Luffy's randomness.

I laughed, making his glare turn to me. "Are you taking over for Nami now?" I joked.

Luffy slammed his fist on the table, interrupting Zoro's comeback, and pointing at Kyros. "Rebecca's father is that soldier man..." the bandaged teen fell asleep in the middle of his yelling.

"You're not fully recovered! Don't get greedy and get more sleep!" Usopp joined in on the scolding of Luffy.

He woke up again and started stuffing his face, yelling even though his mouth was full, "Who made up such a lie!" He seemed to still be stuck on the Kyros thing, and was completely ignoring Usopp and Zoro.

"I don't understand why they would be so concerned with who her father is anyway. I can accept at least a little curiosity, but for the entire town to be talking up a rumor?" I grumbled, taking a bite of the bread in my hand.

"Well, she is the princess," Usopp reasoned with a shrug.

"I'm the one who started the rumor," Kyros said out of the blue, finally turning away from the window he'd been staring out this whole time. "The only people who know about Rebecca's birth are... people in the royal family and some people in the Donquixote Family who did the research. The only thing that the whole nation knows is about her mother. I started the rumor before they found out that I'm her father."

"Why?" Robin asked.

Kyros sighed, "I have a criminal record. I'm ill-born as well. I wasn't supposed to marry a member of the royal family in the first place. So... this is how it should be."

"No it shouldn't! Does Rebecca know that?!" Luffy shouted.

"She must have gotten the letter. I wrote everything about my life truthfully. I made her suffer for a long time. I want her to cut her connection to a person like me and live happily in the light hereafter. So that's the only way I can make it up to her as a father. I'm thinking about leaving this country when you guys do. She's still a child. I don't want her to ruin her chance to be happy by being caught up in the moment. I convinced King Riku, too!"

I scratched my cheek and looked at Luffy's unsatisfied expression. His aggressive chewing was accompanied by his scrunched up face. I didn't think the gladiator's decision making was fair to her either, but I'm not part of their family so I'll keep quiet.

Kyros' den den mushi started ringing, so he picked it up. Before anything important could be said, Melo threw the door to the small house open. "Zoro-senpai!" he called out. His eyes started watering when he looked at Luffy. "Oh, Luffy-senpai! You're up! Good morning!" He stayed silent for a second, only to fall backwards with his hands moving up to block some kind of light that wasn't there. "When there are five members of the Straw Hats gathered together, they're too bright to even look at! It's like a laser beam of greatness!" he cried. "If I see all of the stars of the Straw Hats someday, I'll get dissolved!"

"Just say what you're here for already!" Zoro yelled.

"Oh yea! There's a lot of commotion at the Navy camp! They're gonna be here at any minute! 'Great Advisor' Vice Admiral Tsuru and the former fleet admiral- Sengoku arrived!" Melo informed us.

On cue, Usopp started panicking. He was alone in his concern now, given that Chopper and Nami aren't here at the moment. He was calmed by the fact that Melo and the people at the Colosseum had apparently created a plan to get us off the island without us having to worry too much about the Navy. There was a ship at the east port waiting for us and fighters ready to stall the marine soldiers on the way over there.

Luffy stuffed some more food into his mouth and then looked at the bandaged blond on the floor. "Bellamy, can you get up?" he asked. I have no idea when or why Bellamy was here, but he didn't cause me any problems so I didn't ask.

"Yea, I can even run now," the man replied and stood up.

"Ok! That's good!"

Bellamy turned his attention towards Law and gave him a sneer, "Trafalgar, why didn't you leave me to my fate? That was supposed to be the place I died."

"Straw Hat-ya insisted you were his friend so I carried you just in case," the doctor stated. He turned away and continued, "You can die here if you want!"

"I'm fully recovered thanks to that dwarf! How could fighting the Navy possibly lead me to dying?!" the blond barked at him.

"Just find some way to drop dead, idiot."

"What did you say?!"

"You can't even say thank you!"

I nudged Zoro in his side. He looked at me with a raised brow. "They fight like you and Sanji without the physical violence, and they don't even know each other," I mused.

"I'd be better off not knowing that curly perv, too," he huffed. I had to put a hand over my mouth to stop the laugh that wanted to come out.

There was a bunch of battle cries accompanied by a stampede of footsteps outside the small house all of a sudden, which was clearly the Navy closing in on us. "Hey hey! We don't have time to think! Let's just run, war buddies!" Melo exclaimed. "Let's go!"

We all followed him out the door and the soldiers started shooting at us. He put up a barrier so that we could run without problem. "Okay, this way, everybody! You'll be in deep trouble if you run into Fujitora! Whatever you do, don't get separated!" he yelled. Of course, as soon as he said that, Luffy slowly stopped running and faced the palace. "What?! Luffy-senpai?!"

"I've got something to do so just go ahead!" my captain told us.

"WHAT?!"

"Luffy! We don't have much time! Go finish your business in a hurry! We'll wait for you at the east port!" Zoro called to him.

"Got it!"

"Let's hurry!" the swordsman yelled.

"Zoro-senpai! You're heading south! But even that aspect of you is cool!" Melo gushed.

I shook my head, "It's really not! Get your ass back over here!"

"Shut up!" he yelled as he ran back to the group.

We got down from the hill and started running through a street in the broken town. Melo started waving a 'This Way' flag as he led us. He's a pretty entertaining guy. As we ran, marines followed us but more and more Colosseum buddies kept popping up to take them down.

I looked to the side where there was a bunch of marines littering the floor. "Eh? Isn't that Sengoku? How'd his hair get so white in the past two years?" I questioned. I don't think that's even physically possible. Upon saying his name, Law's head whipped in the direction that I was looking at. "... do you have something between Sengoku and you?" I asked, falling behind the group with him.

"Something like that," he answered.

"You gonna go deal with that 'something' then?" I pressed.

"I might," the tattooed captain replied.

"Hurry up then, just make sure to catch up. Don't be later than Luffy," I told him, shooing him with a hand motion.

He stared at the old man a little longer before turning to me and giving me a short nod, "Don't tell anyone else, Goddess-ya. I'll be back." With that, he took off. I'll try to ask him about that later.

When we got to the east port, there were a few of the Colosseum guys. Luffy was still nowhere to be found, and people finally realized that Law took off. Something shifted further into the building debris covered floor, and Zoro moved to the front of our group, a hand on the handle of his Wado Ichimonji. Then, out from the dust came the most powerful marine on this island.

"FUJITORAAAAA!" Usopp cried in horror.

"The unwanted one's here!" Melo panicked. "Luffy-senpai! Hurry up!"

"Wh-wh-wh-wh-what should we do?!" our sniper asked.

"We only have one choice!" the swordsman said, unsheathing his sword and sending an air slash at the admiral, who dodged it.

I tried to throw my own air slash with the kick of my leg, but it was once again dodged. "Damnit, why'd it have to be the nice blind man," I sighed, ready to activate my devil fruit.

Just as Zoro and I were preparing to fight, Melo ran in front of us. The lime haired fanboy kept his back to us and said, "Zoro-senpai, (y/n)-senpai! You guys and your friend should stand back! Leave it... "

"...Up to us!" Cavendish finished.

I patted Melo's shoulder and grinned, "I'm glad you're on our side, Melo!"

He fell to his knees and sobbed, "(y/n)-senpai appreciates me!"

~~~
"LUFFY-SENPAIIII! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! HE'S A NAVY ADMIRAL!"
Fujitora was in the middle of making a huge ball of building rubble above the island with his gravity devil fruit. Law had already shown up, but Luffy just got here, and opted to punch the admiral with his elephant gun. He pulled his hand back and landed on the floor.
"'Take him down someday' isn't good enough anymore! Even if he's a Navy admiral, why should I run?! I would've done that until two years ago but not anymore! Even a Navy admiral or a Shichibukai... I gotta beat them all! Otherwise... I can't become the King of Pirates!" Luffy yelled.
"Well, that's kind of true," Franky commented.
"Yea. If we're aiming for a Yonko right now, so might as well fight a admiral too," I hummed.
Usopp gripped his head and said, "Okay, Luffy! Since it;s come to this, just fight it out!"
Melo turned around in disbelief, "Ehhh?! Usopp-senpai, even you?! Are you sure?! He's a Navy admiral!"
I smiled and gave the man a thumbs up, "Don't sweat it. No matter what, we're all gonna get off the island."
In response, he held his head and turned around, "But (y/n)-senpai, why does he have to have such a serious fight right after Doflamingo?!"
Luffy went into second gear and started fighting, covering himself in haki with each strike. It seemed... different. I don't know why, but he kept calling out what he attack he was going to do. "I'm totally on board with what Luffy said, but why is he fighting in such a strange way?" Zoro piped up.
"What are you doing, Luffy?!" Usopp cried from behind me.
Luffy and him started talking while exchanging blows. It was mostly just Fujitora telling the captain that he needed to stop showing sympathy because a fight was a fight, or something like that. The admiral eventually sent out an air slash with his sword, mixed with his devil fruit, and sent Luffy flying through one of the huge boulders that outlined the island. The rest of us had to move out of the way.
Hajrudin, the giant from the Colosseum, grabbed Luffy from the air and started running to the port. I dragged Zoro away from the admiral since he wanted to fight him and we all made our way to the ships that were hidden in the fog(lmao that reminded me of naruto). As we ran, the ball of buildings that Fujitora collected earlier followed us. When we were about halfway across the bridge, the ball flatted out and covered the entire floating wooden dock.
"Oh god, I'd usually be able to survive that, but we're running on a water bridge right now. We're all gonna die if that falls," I thought aloud.
"You're only concerned for yourself?!" Usopp screeched.
I rubbed my ear and pushed his face away from mine, as he'd gotten close so he could effectively yell at me. "Hey, I mentioned everyone dying after I said that," I retorted.
"That doesn't make it better!" he cried.
"Shut u-! Oh, what's with the footsteps?" I mumbled, turning around to see what was up. Lo and behold, practically the entire island was running after us. It wasn't an angry mob, though.
Luffy, who'd apparently stopped struggling in the giant's hold, was sitting on the giant's shoulder, waving to the people that probably came to see us off, or protect us from the oncoming doom above our heads. Either way, it was welcomed because the buildings weren't falling anymore.
I slowed down to run beside Zoro and I raises a brow, "How many islands has Luffy saved by now?"
"Uh... Dunno, how many islands have we been to?" he questioned.
"I don't know, you tell me," I said shot back.
He scratched the side of his head in thought, but the both of us were quickly distracted by the fact that we finally made it into the fog where all the pirate ships were. There was a huge variety. We boarded... someone's ship, I don't remember who's and all the Colosseum fighters came aboard with us.
They all started talking about something that didn't quite make sense. It was like we were out of the loop. I say we because when I looked at Robin, she didn't seem to know what was going on either. Bus stepped forward and started explaining for us, "Let me explain. For your information, we decided the order by lot. First, the Beautiful Pirates, 75 members! The representative is the captain, White Horse Cavendish! Next, the Barto Club, 56 members! The captain is the Man-Eating Bartolomeo! The Happosui Army, about 1000 members! The 13th leader is Don Sai! The XXX Gym Fighting Alliance, four members! The representative is Destruction Cannon Ideo! The Tontatta's Tonta Corps, 200 members! The leader is Leo the Warrior! Just five members now! The future Giant Pirates! The captain is Hajrudin! And I'm... the commodore of the Yontamaria Fleet, 4,300 members! The Adventuring Pioneer- Orlumbus!"
Hmm I guess I heard Melo's name wrong before. Whatever, it doesn't matter. Melo fell to his knees in front of Luffy and grinned up at him, "A big group of 5,600 people in total! Luffy-senpai, will you exchange cups of sake as father and sons... with us seven representatives?!"
"Father and sons?" Luffy repeated in confusion. I honestly didn't know what was happening here either.
"That's right! You'll be the boss and we'll be your followers! Will you take us under the umbrella of the Straw Hat Pirates?!" Melo asked.
~~~

"...I'm not gonna drink this. I don't like sake much," Luffy stated, placing the huge cup of sake back down.

"No, it's not about the taste, it's about the vow!" Melo explained. "From now on, you'll be targeted by big names because of the incident on this island! When that happens, it doesn't matter how strong you all are, it's gonna be a tough battle! But since you saved us, we can help you at those times!"

"But if I drink this, I'll become the grand captain of the grand fleet, right?" Luffy asked.

"That's right. If you have 5,600 members in total, you'll finally be one of the greatest pirates! You'll become the King of Pirates eventually! If you wanna conquer the world, this won't be enough, though!" the lime head tried to convince him.

Zoro stepped forward and said, "You should stop. That line of reasoning won't work on him. Anyway, pour this into a beer mug, I'll drink it," the swordsman ordered, referring to the huge cup of sake that Luffy refused to drink.

Melo's nonexistent eyebrows scrunched as he tried to say, "Like I said, we're not doing this to enjoy the taste!"

"Well you should," I butted in, looking at the liquid in the huge cup, "It looks like it should be pretty good."

Bus started going on about how accepting this was a good thing and that Luffy should want this, but all my captain could say was, "I need my space!"

"What?! He looks so annoyed!" everyone shouted.

"That aside, isn't that a banquet they're preparing?" Luffy asked, looking past everyone towards the back of the ship. He could smell the food cooking and so did I.

"He's interested in eating at a time like this?!" Ideo grumbled. This was followed by a bunch of other representatives getting irritated.

Luffy frowned and yelled over them, "Listen! I just wanna become the King of Pirates! I don't wanna become someone important!"

Zoro stepped closer to Luffy's cup and scooped some of the alcohol into his mouth with his hand. "Oh you were right, this is some good stuff," he hummed, looking at me.

"I have good eyes," I nodded and did the same.

"Use a cup! You guys have bad manners!" Usopp chided.

Franky and Robin hopped in on the sharing of the sake, which made Usopp feel more comfortable with drinking it as well. Meanwhile, Luffy was giving some kind of speech to the allies. I wasn't listening. I was too busy realizing that rubble had begun falling on us. The left overs of Pica's huge statue started its descent upon our ships as well. I didn't even notice when that got up there. How did I not see it ascend into the sky? It fell, and it separated the oncoming Navy ships from our own. Fujitora seems to have taken a liking to us because now we can get away.

By the time I looked back at the cup, I saw Zoro literally just downing the rest of it by himself. I smacked him over the head, "What the hell?! Why didn't you save any for me?!"

He rolled his eye at me, "If you want some that badly I still have some in my m-"

"SHUT UP! DON'T CONTINUE THAT!" I yelled, hitting him over the head again.

The thud of something other than Zoro hitting the deck made me turn around, which allowed me to see that there was a bunch of food around now. The representatives had already drank from their cups against our captain's will, but the food was enough to deter him from having a tantrum. He bee-lined straight for a platter of fighting-fish steak, which was 10x his size. He even started climbing on it. The whole fleet set sail after having misunderstood Luffy's question of leaving for an order.

We were quickly given tankards of booze after we were out of range from the island. "Alright guys!" Luffy cheered, "In the battle against the Mingo Family, we... WON!"

"YEAAAH!" everyone shouted, holding out our respective drinks.

Luffy seemed to be over the whole 'in charge of 5,600 people' thing now since he had food. Everyone had got a little drunk about 30 minutes into the banquet. I had my back to the railing of the ship as I watched everyone move about. I saw Zoro drag Law from his loner space against the poor man's will. It's funny how he makes Zoro look like the energetic, sociable one. It's a funny duo.

"(y-(y/n)-senpai, allow me to fill up your cup," Melo said, appearing in front of me out of nowhere.

"That'd be great, actually," I hummed, pushing it forward. He poured some alcohol into it and I took a swing. "Don't you like drinking, Melo? Why haven't you had any? I haven't seen you with your own cup this entire time."

He wiped away some tears in his eyes, "Yes, but I'm happy enough to just be giving you some, (y/n)-senpai!"

I laughed and moved my tankard toward him as a gesture for him to take it, "Well, would you like some, then? You can be even happier with some good booze in y- OH GOD!" I got up from my lax position and shook Melo by his shoulders. He fainted and was foaming at the mouth. "Are you in there?! I'm sorry! I forgot how big a fanboy you are!" I shouted. There was still no response. I ran over to Law, who had just escaped Zoro, and pulled him over to my situation. He will have no breaks as long as I'm here. "Fix him!"

"He'll be fine," Law stated, turning to walk away.

I ran in font of him and turned him around again, "No! Make sure!"

The doctor grabbed my hands away from his sides and repeated, "I said he'll be fine. Just give him a minute."

"He'll be fine," I mocked in a high voice, walking past the tattooed man so that I could poke Melo's cheek. His hand moved a little. Well, he's still alive for sure. I looked up at Law, who had yet to walk away, to my surprise. "Hey, I have a question for you."

"Go ahead," he replied. He probably knew what I was going to ask.

Too bad I didn't get to ask it. An arm wrapped around my waist and I was yanked through the crowd on the ship, slamming into Luffy's side. "There you are (y/n)! Try some of this!" he chirped, pushing some of the cooked fighting fish into my face.

"Don't say 'there you are' like you didn't just pull me to you!" I stopped his hand from trying to smother me with food, and took it into my own. After taking a bite, my eyes widened, "Wow, this is actually really good."

"Right?!" he chirped, smiling widely. A few minutes of him pushing

Bus made his way over to the two of us as I undid the arm that was still wrapped several times around me. He gave a toothy smile and took a swing of his booze before saying, "(y/n)! I keep seeing you guys together. Are you the Boss' woman?"

"I'm not your boss!"

"Nope, I'm not. Why, got someone for me?" I asked, looking up a the tall man.

He laughed and shook his head slightly, "No, no! Ideo had asked me so I came to ask from curiosity!"

I blinked and looked over to the explosion man, who had his back towards our little group. "Is that so? I'm pretty sure I remember arguing with him before I was kicked away from somebody else," I said.

I was about to walk away, but Luffy, grabbed my arm. "You aren't gonna stay and eat with me?" he asked.

Giving him a smile, I replied, "I'll come back, don't worry. I can watch you inhale all the food you want when I do."

He gave me his signature toothy grin, "Ok!" I walked off.

I approached the man and leaned over his sitting form. He looked up to me when I called his name. "Damn you scared me. What do you need? Ran out of booze?" Ideo asked.

"Nope, I'm here to ask why you're asking if I'm taken," I answered.

He spluttered and put his drink down, "Who'd you hear that from? I didn't say any of that!"

"I dunno, your embarrassment is saying otherwise," I teased.

"Well what're you gonna do if I did?" he questioned.

I shrugged and smiled, "The answer was that I'm not taken. I could be if- WHOA!" I was thrown over someone's shoulder and taken away. Ideo stared as I was being kidnapped, and then shook his head and continued talking with the guys around him, who had previously gone silent once I showed up. I looked at the person carrying me. Short green hair. "Zoro! Why?!"

"I had to stop you from terrorizing people," he responded. "You already took down Crest Head."

"HEY! That wasn't even on purpose!" I whined, trying to kick my legs to escape. "And you've no right to talk! You offered me sake from your mouth earlier! You're the one terrorizing me!"

"Oi, you didn't let me finish so you don't know that's what I was gonna say."

"Yea I do! You got the look on your face! You're a menace!"

He set me down in front of him, taking a swing from the tankard that he took from me when he hoisted me up. I swiped it back from his hands. He opened his mouth to say another thing, but the same stretchy arm from earlier wrapped itself around me. His eye widened in realization and he shouted, "Wait! Luffy, I'm talking to h-" I didn't get to hear the rest because I crashed back against the owner of this stretchy arm, leaving Zoro in the dust.

"Luffy, I said I'd come back on my own," I said.

"But you weren't doing anything," he reasoned, taking a bite out of some meat.

I laughed and asked, "So talking to Zoro counts as not doing anything?"

"Yep!"

"Fair enough," I agreed, sitting down beside him and refilling my tankard since that bastard drank so much of it. I looked through the crowd, seeing that Zoro was dragging a hand down his face. Now he knows how Ideo felt.
