A Messy Escape

the fourth season of american horror story is kinda ass

I sighed as she thrashed around, trying to keep me from fully tying her up. "Look, Brulee. This is just karma for trying to eat Carrot and Chopper," I told her, not feeling all that enthused about her sassiness. My entire body is killing me right now.

"You people are attacking our territory! What did you expect to happen, you fool!" she yelled.

"We wouldn't even be here if you guys weren't trying to kill Germa," I responded flippantly.

She clenched her fists that I tied together and thrashed some more, "Mama's plan was perfect! Then your stupid crew tried saving that Vinsmoke boy!"

I rolled my eyes, "Maybe don't kidnap him next time. We would be in someone else's territory had you not made that move."

She resorted to only scowling at me, so I stuffed her into a sack I found on the Tarte and slung her over my shoulder. Hopefully she stays quiet. My head is killing me as is.

My hopes were sadly crushed. Once I jumped through the mirror, she started screaming: "Big Brother! Big brother help me!"

I slapped a piece of tape over her mouth that I brought from the Tarte and shook my head at her with a look of disappointment. She glared at me as hard as she could, like that would make me release her. The ground shook violently when I took her off my shoulder, making me look in the direction of the tremors.

Luffy is definitely still fighting with Katakuri. I dropped Brulee on the floor, which shook again from another clash of conquers haki. Brulee was wiggling around, but despite my better judgement I decided that I wanted to go look for Luffy instead of fretting about her. I gave her an 'I'm watching you' motion before I started kind of stumble-running towards the direction I thought the men in combat were.

Powerful winds kept threatening to push me over while I searched around the Mirro-World. I don't think I've ever felt such an intense fight in my life. It's even crazier than his fight with that maniac Doflamingo.

I got shoved backwards onto my butt when a huge dust cloud came rushing at me. My arms shielded my eyes as I waited for it to pass. I ran around a weirdly shaped purple wall/pillar thing and saw that I had finally found the fighters. Or just one of them from what I could see in my current position.

The one I could see was Katakuri. He was standing in front of a huge hole in the ground. He didn't seem to have his scarf on, nor his leather vest. I couldn't really see his face from here considering I could only see his back as of right now.

The tall man tried to take a step forward only to stumble a bit. "I'll... never... lose!" Katakuri struggled out before falling onto his stomach.

After waiting five minutes to make sure no one would appear and attack me, I ran over to the hole that Katakuri had been facing. The man I'm looking for has to be in there. Crouching over it, I could see that Luffy was laying on his back at the bottom of it. He wasn't dead, he was just breathing really hard from exhaustion. It's to be expected at this point. I would have been dead if I were in his place.

Then I walked to the man behind me, seeing if he was still alive. I grabbed hold of his wrist to feel a pulse. Yep, still alive and kicking. My eyes directed to his face instinctively when I felt his hand twitch, just to make sure he hadn't woken up completely. It was then that I saw what was under his scarf.

"Whoa, I would have never guessed that. It's actually kind of fitting. (y/n) approved," I hummed, seeing his scar cornered mouth. His teeth were sharp and poking out from behind his lips. I wonder why he has those stitch scars going along his cheeks. ...Wait a second here. I quickly covered my eyes, dropping the man's hand back onto the floor when I remembered something. "Shit, he got really mad about his mouth earlier, I shouldn't be looking at him. It's all about consent in this house."

I stood up with my hands over my eyes and took a few steps backwards. I swiveled around so I couldn't be facing him, then my hands moved to the sides of my head as I groaned in pain. The throbbing going on in my skull is horrible. When it stopped, I looked down at my hands. Red. Looks like I won't last much longer. The adrenaline better keep me alive.

"What should I even do here?" I thought aloud, scratching my cheek. "Maybe I should have brought a watch or something because I'm pretty sure time is getting a littl- OW!"

Luffy came flying out of the hole in the ground, bumping foreheads with me violently. I caught him before he started flipping past me. He leaned heavily against me when I tried to set him back on his feet. "You got back?" he tiredly asked, looking at my bloodied face. "Where did he send you? Are you alright?"

"He sent me back to the Chateau, then I fought Cracker and kidnapped Brulee, as one does now-a-days," I recapped to him.

"That guy with the biscuits? He was strong," he absentmindedly commented. He then leaned his entire body forward and looked over my shoulder. I put my hands on his own shoulders and gently pushed him back onto his feet. "Even when he falls, he falls forward...." Luffy huffed, referring to the tall man behind me. "But I won..."

"You sure did. Congrats," I told him. "We need to get looking for a mirror to Cacao island now."

"You're right. What time is it...?" he mumbled before his breath hitched. A large shadow loomed over the two of us. I can already tell who it is. Luffy grabbed my shoulder and steadied himself on his feet, then pushed me behind him protectively.

I gazed up at Katakuri, who was the reason for the shadow. "Are you gonna come back... to take down Big Mom someday...?" the man asked, looking straight at Luffy.

Luffy's eyebrows furrowed and he declared, "Of course I am! Because I'll... become the King of the Pirates!"

"...You're seeing quite far into the future," Katakuri stated. He untensed his body and fell backwards as soon as he finished.

Luffy took the black hat off of his straw hat and placed it on Katakuri's mouth. He looked at me, "You said you grabbed Branch? Where did you put her?"

I pointed to a weirdly shaped pillar mirror wall thing, "Right behind that thing over there. It was only a few minutes ago, too, so she should be very ready to take us out of here." He nodded to me and stumbled away. "I think I should go get her, instead," I said upon recognizing his physical state.

He shook his head and continued on while saying, "No, I can still go." I facepalmed. Well, it's fine. He can go if he wants, it's not that far away. I looked back at Katakuri, walking over to him and crouching beside his beaten body.

"Uh, this is a little weird since you just finished having a death battle with my captain, but sorry for looking at your face like multiple times now. You weren't too keen on talking about what was under your scarf earlier, and even as an enemy, I've got to respect that. It's not like your mouth is weird anyway. It reminds me of Barto, now that I think about it," I rambled a little since I had time until Luffy showed up. It might also be because I'm a bit light headed. I don't think Katakuri minds. After all, it's not like he could hear me, he's not awa-

"I revealed my mouth of my own will. There is no need for an apology."

I fell on my ass and scooted away when he spoke up, due to him scaring the shit out of me. "You were awake the whole time? Did you hear what I said earlier too?" I questioned, clutching at my heart from the surprise he just provided me.

Instead of answering me, he stayed silent. That must mean a yes. I resisted the need to kick his immobile state and released a sigh though my nose. "Alright then. Are you going to apologize to me about throwing me through a mirror?" I followed up, moving back over to him.

I decided to kneel beside him because now his eyes were open and I don't need someone else seeing up this dress too. "No. I did what I had to," he responded shortly.

"Yea yea, your duty or whatever. If we actually did get married, you'd be the worst conversationalist. You're so dry. And when you're not, you saying what I was about to say," I commented.

His eyes shifted to me, a brow raised, "That is what you're thinking about?"

"What else am I gonna think about? How we're gonna get out of here? That's stress for another time. I think if I start stressing about it, I might start spirting blood out of my head. Plus, this is like one of the only times I'd be able to talk to you like this. Like two normal people talking," I told him.

"Why would you seek a conversation with me? If you're able to escape, that's not something you'll have to be concerned with," he grumbled, closing his eyes again, very done with me.

I shrugged, "I don't actually know. I think it might be because of the need for everyone reading this for me to get close to you. But really, I think it might be because I have a thing for hot older men-" I slapped a hand over my mouth and stood back up. His eyes were wide open now. I think it's time for me to run. I thought I was over this phase of saying unnecessary and embarrassing things, but I am back at it again.

"Oi, wai-" Yea, I started running, yelling for Luffy. Sorry Katakuri, but I will NOT be coming back over there.

My captain ended up calling for me when I almost ran past him. "(y/n)! Look who found us!" Luffy tiredly shouted.

I looked to who he was referring to. "Eh? Pekoms?" I blinked in confusion upon seeing the pink clad lion mink.

"No! My name is Mystoms! I've recaptured Brulee for the both of-"

"Yea! He's here to save us!" Luffy cut him off. Pekoms looked down in defeat.

I nodded and ran over to them. Pekoms took Luffy over his shoulder and we started travelling through the Mirro-World.

~~~
Luffy and I went flying out of Pekom's coat when Oven landed a punch on him. The lion Mink had partially entered his Sulong form by now. It was the plan to hide under Pekom's clothes. Looks like that option is out now. I was about to scoop Luffy back into my arms, but some girls in pink tried to attack me. I jumped out of the way and watched as Luffy escaped to the air, only to be pursued by another one of Big Mom's kids.
Sanji thankfully appeared out of nowhere and saved him. Pekoms went a little out of control and tried to attack the blond once his Sulong form fully developed, but that stopped as soon as it started and Sanji was able to get a bit farther away.
I climbed to the rooftops and grabbed the scythe that almost stabbed me, throwing the girl attached to it into the other three that were on my tail. I stumbled to the edge of the rooftop I was on and jumped to the next, having to tuck-and-roll because I couldn't steadily be on my feet.
I would have kept trying to escape if I hadn't noticed that Sanji got smacked back down to the ground by one of the Charlotte siblings.
My direction changed and I went toward him and Luffy, only to be pinned to the roof I was on by a different sibling. I cringed from the pain in my stomach and head. If only I hadn't fought before this. "It's over for the three of you," Oven stated as multiple guns were pointed at either me or Sanji and Luffy.
This was interrupted by a huge explosion at the harbor. I didn't get much of a chance to wonder what went on over there because the question was answered by Sanji's siblings appearing at the plaza of hell we were in. Reiju had kicked off whoever was on top of me and brought me down to where Sanji and Luffy were. I gave her a weak thanks.
The Germa siblings caught all of the bullets that were shot our way. Red was the first to speak, "Thank you for what you did for us at the Tea Party, Big Mom Pirates."
"Germa 66!" Oven recognized.
"Why are you here?!" Sanji asked them.
"It's a coincidence, Sanji. We wanted to give these guys... a crushing blow, too!" Red stated.
A random guy from the crowd that formed around us shouted, "If you stand in our way, we'll take you out along with the Straw Hat!"
Wasn't that their plan in the first place...?
Bullets rained on the four colorful siblings standing around us, but it still had no effect on them, as always. I always thought that was a cool aspect from the comics they were in. I'd never tell them that, though.
"There'll be another pile of scum when we're done here," Blue grunted.
Red continued to look forward, but directed his attention to his blond brother again. "Take the injured and get off of the island already," he ordered. "We don't need you here."
"They set us up," Blue grumbled.
"We'll make them pay!" Yonji added with a grin.
"This whole island is our target, Sanji!" Reiju said.
The gun fire ceased when Oven started shouting again, "GERMA! I thought you were dead! How did you survive?! Ten thousand soldiers led by Nusstorte took over your kingdom!"
Red replied flippantly, "Yea, the flies swarmed all over us but we swatted them and dumped them into the sea."
"What?!" Oven growled.
"What were you fools gonna do with our scientific technology?" Red questioned.
"You could do nothing!" Blue smugly laughed out.
"You bastards..!" Oven seethed.
Reiju looked to the three of us, who were just sitting here while that conversation ensued. "Sanji, (y/n), get out of here!" she told us.
I nodded and got up with Sanji, who had a sleeping Luffy over his shoulder. The journey out of here was not pleasant, to say the least. Especially since I can't even walk on air like Sanji can. It's his thing, so it's not like I want to, but yea I'm lying, I want to.
Things took a turn for the worst when Brulee revealed that Luffy beat Katakuri fair and square. Oven was about to kill us from the anger he had from the new information, when Ichiji showed up to stop him. Sanji used the opportunity to grab hold of my waist and run to the sky, where we were saved by Yonji next. I had no form of defense besides haki right now, with the fact that Sanji had to carry me so I couldn't just make myself 100x heavier with my devil fruit, so I am very glad that Germa is helping out.
Blue came to our rescue next, making sure not to leave before telling Sanji he was a pain in the ass. He also made sure to sneak in that he should take me now while I was exhausted. Of course, I tried to headbutt him in response. That didn't work, but we were then passed onto Reiju, who bid us farewell while protecting us from the men attempting to shoot us down with bazookas at the shore.
"I am... absolutely soaking your white tux right now," I muttered, realizing my wounds were not slowing down with the blood coming out of them. I'm so dizzy, especially from all the jumping around and attempts to fight.
"Don't be worried about that right now, (y/n)-san. We're almost to the ship now," the blond assured me. I squeezed my eyes shit and grabbed hard onto Sanji's side when cannon balls started flying at us.
Luckily, we did drop to the Sunny only a minute later. "Yay! They're back!" all but Jinbei cheered. All of them ran over to the sleeping Luffy, who Sanji had placed on the floor. I leaned heavily against the cook as the adrenaline left my system. He seemed to be alright with it.
Carrot bit our captain's ear, successfully waking him up. "You guys..." he weakly said. "You kept me waiting so long!"
"Yea right!" Nami yelled.
Chopper smiled at him, "Luffy... did you beat Katakuri?"
When Luffy confirmed it, Brook and Chopper expressed their happiness, while Jinbei was very noticeably surprised by the expression on his face. The captain fell asleep again once he finished talking. I was forced to sit down beside Luffy once Chopper started giving him medical treatment because Sanji had drawn attention to my own injuries. Sanji should have got in on this treatment because he was shot in the arm earlier.
Germa once again saved us when Smoothie and Daifuku caught up to us. Judge started giving a speech about... something. I dunno... I couldn't hear. Maybe the blood loss I've been ignoring is finally getting to me. My main character powers are fading away... I think... I'm gonna..... sleep.
