It was a spring day that the Marauders decided to tell Harry about their animagus forms. Harry had just finished teaching the first years about vampires when the Marauders came into the room. Harry put the textbooks he was using away and he smiled at the boys. "Hi! How are you?"

They looked at each other before Sirius blurted out, "We have a secret we want to tell you." James nodded. "Not even Lils knows."

Harry smiled, he had a feeling he knew what the secret was. "I feel honoured that you want to tell me then?"

James and Sirius both looked at Peter. He then nodded at James. Harry laughed. "Just spit it, I'm not going to bite." James sighed. "We might be unregistered animagi?"

Harry raised his brow. "Really? That is impressive. Show me." Harry hoped that James would turn into Prongs.

Sirius went first, turning into a younger looking snuffles or padfoot. Peter then went turning into the infamous rat. Harry internally scowled as he watched 'Scabbers' the. James turned into Prongs. Prongs was quite tall and regal looking. Harry watched the three animals, who were looking at him as if they were expecting him to say something.

Harry nodded. "Wow. I've always wanted to be an animagus." They turned back and Sirius smirked. "We can teach you if you want?" Harry shook his head. "I'm going to do it with Ginny after our wedding so I can entertain our children with it." James sighed. "I hope I can do that one day."

Harry patted his shoulder. "I'm sure you will."

Remus then entered the room. "Oh, what are you doing here?" he asked. Sirius waved. "We showed them Padfoot Prongs and Wormtail." Remus looked at Harry and Harry nodded in confirmation. "You aren't going to tell on us?" Remus asked. Harry laughed. "Why would I?"

Remus then walked up. "What I came here to ask is Lily and I want to learn how to cast a Patronus." Harry turned to the others. "Do you want to learn too?" James grinned. "Hell yeah!" Harry nodded. "Okay then. Come see me this time tomorrow?" Remus nodded, dragging the other three out of the room.

The next day came quickly and soon Harry found himself teaching Expecto Patronum to his parents and their friends.

Harry stood in front of them. "Think of your happiest memories and say Expecto Patronum." Peter scoffed. "is it that easy?" Harry shook his head. "No. It took me a long time to get right."

The five kids tried for an hour until one person got it right. A stag danced around James. James looked in awe. Harry clapped. "Well done! What was your memory?" James blushed. "Lily." the Sirius cooed at Lily, who's face had gone nearly as red as her hair.

They carried on trying and eventually all of them had done it.  Harry was extremely happy with them and had given them 10 points each, putting Gryffindor in the lead.

The next day Harry woke up to the whole school being frightened. He asked Minerva what was happening and she looked at him in disbelief. "You don't know what's happening?" she asked. Harry shook his head. "Enlighten me please Minerva?" She sighed. "For the past year, a man that goes under the name of Lord Voldemort has been killing people and gaining power. We call his followers death eaters."

Harry could only think one thing. Shit.
