Little demon 17

Venice made his way out of class, heading over to the usual spot his parents always parked. He frowned when he got to the parking lot and found neither of his parents there to pick him up. He settled on waiting for some time. Maybe something was keeping them. The boy waits for a while when finally a black Maserati car pulled up. He looked up quickly but sighed when he realized it wasn't them.

The door opened and a man came out of the car. Venice raised a brow at the person he saw.

"Uncle Kinn?" He said in a surprised tone.

"Hey there Venice," Kinn says as he walked up to the boy. He was about to touch the boy when Venice took a few steps back away from him.

"Why do you look surprised? Your daddy didn't tell you I will be the one to pick you up?"

"No one told me anything." Venice frowned. Kinn brought his hand up to his waist and let out a deep sigh. "Your daddy Vegas asked me to pick you up for today. He had an important business to attend to together with your Pa Pete and so I'm here to take you to the main house."

The boy's eyes widened as he heard he will be taken to the main house.

"P'Macau is supposed to return from his camp today. Shouldn't he be picking me up instead?" Kinn let out a sigh.

"Venice, I learned your big brother will not make it today. Can we go already? We have to get you home."

Venice was silent for what felt like forever before finally speaking up.

"Okay, I will go with you Uncle." Kinn was suddenly relieved but Venice wasn't done talking. "I will go with you only when I confirm from my daddy he's indeed away on a trip." The boy says to Kinn's surprise.

Kinn couldn't believe the boy had just said that like he was about to kidnap him. He let out an amused laughed and Venice crossed his arms over his chest.

This kid is unbelievable. He's just like his dad.

Kinn brought out his phone and placed a call to Vegas.

"Don't tell me you couldn't handle this little task dear cousin," Vegas said on the other end of the line.

"Can you not start right now Vegas? Remember I'm doing you a favor." Kinn replies, looking over at an impatient Venice.

"Vegas, your boy wants to talk to you first before he follows me home," Kinn says as he hands the phone over to Venice.

Venice quickly took it and proceeded to talk to his dad.

"Is it true you went somewhere with Pa to attend to something urgent?" Venice asked, looking suspiciously at his Uncle.

"Sorry buddy, it wasn't planned. We'll be back tomorrow to fetch you at the main house, okay?"

Venice was not happy about the sudden turn of events.

"Okay, I'll go with Uncle then but make sure you come for me tomorrow or I will just go back home myself." The boy replies, bringing a laugh out of Vegas.

"Sure buddy, see you tomorrow," Vegas said and finally hung up. Venice gave the phone back to Kinn and made his way to the car without a word.

This kid is something else. Kinn looked amused.

The drive was a quiet one as Venice kept looking out the window. Kinn was frustrated with the silence and tried to bring up a conversation.

"Venice, can I tell you something?" The kid curiously looked at Kinn and nodded.

"Do you know the present I gave you on your first birthday?" Kinn asks and Venice kept staring at him without saying a word.

"It was a birthday vacation. The whole family went on the trip and guess what? You were super close to me back then. You didn't even want to leave my side for a second. Your daddy vegas got jealous at a point, don't you remember?" Kinn finished and the boy smiled faintly at what he just heard.

"How can I remember when I was a year old?" Venice let out a long sigh.

Of course, Kinn knew he wouldn't remember a thing but he just wanted to create a conversation.

"It was really fun Venice, maybe we could plan another trip one of these days. We could travel outside the country. What do you think about it?"

Venice who never had any interest in the conversation so far finally got interested in the offer.

"Where will that be?" Venice curiously asked.

"I don't have a destination in mind yet but how about we do this? Think of any destination of your choice, anywhere you'd like to visit and I will make it work. Deal?" Kinn offers his hand to Venice.

Venice kept thinking about his uncle's offer. His parents took him out of the country for trips sometimes but he still had lots of places he wanted to visit and this could be his chance.

"What's the catch? I doubt it's free." Venice tilts his head to the side.

"Just repay me by not being distant, I want us to go back to how close we used to be when you were a baby," Kinn replied.

"Deal." He took Kinn's hand and Kinn was more than delighted the boy agreed. He missed the 1-year-old Venice who was very close to him. He could make it happen again.

Arriving at the main family house, Kinn and Venice met a certain loud someone right after they made it out of the car.

"OMG Kinn!!!!!"

Tankhun screamed as he went over to them. Venice wanted to disappear already. Tankhun was the more reason he was hesitating to come to the house. He felt this Uncle of his was super loud.

Tankhun stood in front of Venice with both hands on his hips, glaring at the kid.

"Your daddy and Pa finally let you come here? It's been months since you visited. I'm the one always doing the visits."

"Vegas and Pete are not around and so they asked me to bring him here," Kinn replies as he walked into the house together with Venice.

"Venice," Tankhun called excitedly. Why don't we have some fun? I have a lot of series we could watch. There are lots of sweets too and probably tomorrow, we go shopping and watch a movie at the cinema. What do you say?"

Venice was already exhausted just by staring at his excited uncle.

"Uncle Kinn, can you please show me to my room?" Venice asked, ignoring Tankhun's words.

"Sure kid." Kinn led him away from his loud brother.

"Hey, Venice! You better come to my room after resting because we are watching a series all night." Tankhun screams before walking away to his room.

°°°°°°°

Venice has never been faced with so much noise. After having his dinner and taking his shower, an intruder came into his room together with his bodyguards. Because Venice did not go to Tankhun's room as he asked, the man came to his room instead to watch a series.

Tankhun was constantly laughing at whatever was playing and Venice couldn't even find the humor in that. His bodyguards looked so done with him and Venice looked at them pitifully.

"Uncle, why don't you go to your room to sleep? Even though tomorrow is the weekend, It's quite late."

Tankhun frowned at the boy's words. "Because it's the weekend that is why we have to have fun. How about some karaoke? We could go to my room and have fun." He finished and the boy facepalms.

"Arm, Pol, carry him along," Tankhun ordered and they had no choice but to carry the boy against his will to Tankhun's room.

"Let me down! I don't want to do karaoke with you. You are too loud!" Venice protested but his strength was not much for the guards.

Venice sat on the couch with his hands between his legs as he watched his uncle sing and the guards sing along. Venice looked so done. He was just quietly praying someone comes to save him from his kidnapper. He tried leaving so many times but his uncle stationed a guard at the door. He had no way out.

"Do you want to join me, sweet nephew?" Tankhun asked, jumping to the loud music. Venice shot him a death glare and looked away. He was in no mood to deal with him right now.

The karaoke session ended and they were now watching a horror movie. Tankhun screams in every scene. Venice found him to be very strange. He was wondering why his uncle would watch a horror movie when he was so afraid.

"Venice, don't you have a heart?" Tankhun scolds. "People are dying in the series and you sit here emotionless, not caring about them losing their lives? "

Venice was so done with him. "Uncle, are you not weird? Why should you even cry over something which isn't real? Besides, I did not kill the people who died. So why am I heartless?" Venice huffed and relaxed in his seat, crossing his hands over his chest.

Tankhun who couldn't take the kid's answer got up to his feet. "Woah Venice, how could a kid say what you just said huh? How old are you, 50? You speak like an old man instead of speaking like a kid your age."

"How can an adult cry over watching a horror movie? It's weird!" Venice yelled as he stood on the couch so he was a little taller. "

Tankhun was losing his mind over the kid. "The more I look at you every day, the more you look like your dad. How can Pete raise a child to look exactly like his dad? You are both impossible to deal with! I shouldn't have allowed Pete to go with Vegas in the first place!"

Venice was now mad his uncle said that about his Pa and daddy. He launched forward, biting hard on Tankhun's hand.

"Aaaaaahhhhhhh," Tankhun screamed. "This devil of a child! How can you bite me like this?"

"Don't say that about my parents, you weird uncle!" Venice yelled.

Arm was having a hard time stopping the two from arguing.

The door opened and Kinn rushed in with Porsche right behind. "What is going on here?" Kinn asked with a shocked expression.

"Venice, what happened? Kinn asked and Venice paid no attention to him as he was going over to bite Tankhun again since that was the only thing he could do with his little self. Kinn immediately stopped him in his tracks.

"What happened here? Pol came to us saying you guys were having an argument but I didn't think it was this serious." Kinn says, squatting beside the boy.

"It's all his fault!" Venice pointed angrily at Tankhun.

"My fault? Didn't you start it huh?" Tankhun came at him and Kinn was almost losing it.

"Stop it both of you." His voice made everyone go quiet.

"I understand you brought the boy here against his will and now you argue with him? Kinn scolds and his big brother shot him a death glare.

"Let's go back to your room Venice." The boy nods at Kinn and storms out angrily.

"Why don't you stop this already?" Kinn sighed and walked out of the room.

°°°°°°°

Vegas and Pete made it to the main family house in, the late afternoon and they heard the most shocking news. Vegas couldn't believe his ears after Venice narrated the whole incident to them and for the first time, Pete was angry at his ex-boss. Vegas and Pete were both quiet and didn't say anything for a long time.

The whole family finally was around with Venice and Tankhun shooting glares at each other.

Pete wanted to speak but got stopped by Vegas. He knew Pete wouldn't be able to face Tankhun as he should. He took it upon himself to deal with this.

"I purposely asked Kinn to take charge of Venice in our absence so can you tell me why you had to drag him over your room against his wishes, forcing him to participate in something he didn't want to and worst of all, you even pick an argument with him?" Vegas spoke calmly but everyone around could feel how angry he was.

Pete held his hand, trying to calm him but Vegas pulled his hand away.

"Is it wrong to watch a series with him huh? And what is wrong with having a karaoke together?" Tankhun came to Vegas.

Vegas pinched the bridge of his nose, still not believing what he was hearing. "Are you not old enough to respect others' opinions? If someone does not want to do something, then don't fucking force them." Vegas said angrily.

"Calm down Vegas." Kinn tried to reason.

"Don't interfere, Kinn, I have to set things straight with older cousin."

"Why are you not scolding Venice for biting me huh? Is he some kind of wild beast?"

"Don't get me angrier than I already am. Why are you always up in my family's business? First, you always forced Pete to come here disregarding the fact that he was no longer your bodyguard. Now, you want to force my son to do your bidding? I have mostly tolerated it when you did that with Pete but I will not allow you to do it with Venice. Next time when he says no, respect his decision." Vegas finished.

For the first time, Tankhun did not talk back at Vegas which wasn't like him to do so.

Vegas said his thanks to Kinn and left with his family.

Tankhun still couldn't bring himself to say anything even after they left. He suddenly felt guilty of vegas' accusations. He quietly retired to his room without talking to Kinn or the guards.

Meanwhile, Venice sat in the back of the car, not talking to his parents. Vegas was about to say something to Venice but Pete stopped him.

"Let him be Vegas," Pete says and Vegas gave out a long sigh before focusing his attention back on the road.

To be continued...
