"favourite moments"

CAZZ bounced into the practice room, her energy and enthusiasm lighting up the space. She was thrilled about the performance they were planning. The room was buzzing with excitement and creativity, filled with the sound of instruments being tuned and voices humming in warm-up.

Lana was already there, chatting animatedly with Rory, who was teasing her about something as usual. Emmy was in one corner, electric guitar on her hands. Cashmere's eyes, however, immediately sought out Mercy, who was flipping through a notebook, her brows furrowed in concentration.

"Hey, everyone!" Cashmere called out, her voice bright and cheerful. "Ready to make some magic?"

"Always," Lana replied with a grin, giving Rory a playful nudge. "Just waiting for our sunshine to arrive."

Cashmere laughed and made her way over to Mercy, her heart doing a little flip as it always did when she saw her. Mercy looked up and smiled, the sight of which always made Cashmere feel like everything was right in the world.

"Hey, Mercy," Cashmere said, sliding onto the bench next to her. "What are you working on?"

"Just some ideas for the monologue" Mercy replied, her voice soft and warm. "I thought we could try something a bit different this time."

Cashmere leaned in, their shoulders brushing. "I'm all ears. Show me what you've got."

They huddled together over the notebook, Mercy's neat handwriting filling the pages with potential lyrics. Cashmere loved these moments, the quiet collaboration that felt so intimate and special. She cherished every second with Mercy, their connection deepening with each shared idea and glance.

Emmy's voice broke through their bubble of concentration. "Okay, everyone, gather around! Let's start planning this performance."

The group formed a loose circle, and Emmy took the lead, outlining their goals and the roles each of them would play. Cashmere listened attentively, her mind already buzzing with ideas. She loved the creative process, the way they all brought their unique talents to the table to create something beautiful together.

As they discussed the setlist, Mercy spoke up, her voice carrying a note of excitement. "I was thinking we could start with a strong, upbeat number to grab everyone's attention, and then transition into something more soulful and introspective."

"Sounds perfect," Cashmere said, giving Mercy an encouraging smile. "I think we can really showcase our range that way."

Rory nodded in agreement. "I like it. We can start with a bang and then bring it home with something that really hits emotionally."

They spent the next hour hashing out the details, each of them contributing ideas and refining their plans. Cashmere loved watching everyone in their element, especially Mercy, whose passion and dedication were evident in every word she spoke. It was moments like these that made her heart swell with unspoken feelings.

When they finally wrapped up the planning session, Lana stretched and yawned. "I don't know about you guys, but I need a break. Who's up for some fresh air?"

"Count me in," Rory said, standing up and stretching his arms above his head. "I need to move around a bit."

As the group began to disperse, Cashmere turned to Mercy. "Want to take a walk with me?"

Mercy smiled, her eyes lighting up. "I'd love that."

They left the practice room together, stepping out into the cool, crisp air of the early evening. The campus was peaceful, the fading light casting a golden glow over everything. They walked in comfortable silence for a while, just enjoying each other's company.

Eventually, they reached a quiet spot under a large oak tree, and Cashmere sat down on the grass, patting the spot next to her. Mercy joined her, and they leaned against the tree, looking up at the sky.

"You know," Cashmere said softly, breaking the silence, "I love our group, but these moments with you are my favorite."

Mercy turned to look at her, a soft smile playing on her lips. "Mine too."

They sat there for a while longer, their hands occasionally brushing as they talked about everything and nothing. Cashmere loved these quiet moments with Mercy, the unspoken bond between them growing stronger with each passing day.

After some time, Cashmere stood up and stretched, offering a hand to Mercy. "Ready to head back to the common room?"

Mercy nodded, taking Cashmere's hand and pulling herself up. "Yeah, let's go."

They walked back to their dorm, the night air cool and refreshing. The common room was warm and inviting, filled with the soft hum of conversation and laughter. Their friends were scattered around the room, some engaged in deep discussions while others relaxed and unwound.

Cashmere and Mercy found a cozy corner, settling onto a plush sofa. Cashmere glanced around, noticing that everyone seemed to be in good spirits, despite the intense practice session.

Lana was sitting with Rory, who was making her laugh with one of his ridiculous stories. Emmy was laying down on the ground, humming something.

Mercy nudged her gently. "What are you thinking about?"

"Just how lucky I am," Cashmere replied, her voice soft. "To have all of you in my life."

Mercy squeezed her hand. "We're all lucky to have you too, Cashmere."

They sat there, side by side, watching their friends and basking in the warmth of their companionship.ย
