3rd POV

What was supposed to be a fun battle, turned incredibly dangerous.  Sora vs Shun.  The most interesting parts was the weird stuff Sora and Shun were saying.  Shun going on about his home being destroyed by Fusion Summoners and Sora saying how he enjoys hunting Xyz Summoners like Shun down.  At the end, Sora passed out.

Now everyone from You Show and Gong were outside of Sora's room in the Leo Institute medical facility.

Yuzu: Poor Sora.

Shūzo: He's gonna be okay. If you're going to need fixing, this is the place you want to be.

Allie: I know-- It was so scary. After all, it's not everyday someone gets injured in a duel for real.

Yuya: And it's all Shun's fault.

It was dark now and everyone was outside.

Shūzo: Yoko and I ought to get the younger kids home.

Zander: I'm also gonna head home.

After Shūzo, Yoko, Zander, and the kids left, Gong, Yuya, Zackary, and Yuzu, started to talk about what has been happening lately.

Yuya: So what's your take?

Yuzu: Huh?

Yuya: On Shun taking down the Leo Institute and then dueling for them? It's like he did a total 180 and nobody batted an eye. So weird.

Yuzu: I know. I wish I knew what was going on. First, Julia hunts Shun down to take him out, and then she's cool with him. Those two being teammates doesn't add up at all.

Gong: That's crazy. And Gong don't like crazy.

Yuzu: Yeah, and that's not even the half of it. Shun's friends Yuto and Matthew told me something even crazier.

*Yuzu Flashback*

Yuto: We have enemies, Yuzu. And a friend of ours was taken by them.

Matthew: Us and our colleague will stop at nothing to get her back.

*End of Flashback*

Zackary: How does attacking a duel school have anything to do with getting a friend back.

Yuzu: I don't know, but they were dead serious.

Gong: This is like s giant jigsaw puzzle, but we're missin' pieces! And Gong don't like missin' pieces. When Gong gets stuck, Gong likes to take a step back.  So what are the facts?

Yuya: For one, this Yuto guy looks like me.

Zackary: And Matthew looks like me.

Yuya: And whenever we show up, your bracelet glows and they vanish.

Gong: Say what? Oh!

Yuzu: It's true-- For whatever reason, whenever this thing turns on, they always take off. Yuya and Zackary are right. Yuya and Yuto have a resemblance that's absolutely uncanny, and that goes for Zackary and Matthew too.

Gong: So Yuya and Zackary have twin look-alikes that can do magic tricks?

Zackary: What else is there? What else do we know that can fill the missing pieces?

Yuzu: Well, maybe it's nothing but Yuto did say something else to me.

Gong: Nothing can be something! So go on and tell us what he said.

*In Sora's Room*

Yuto and Matthew arrive to where Sora is resting and enter.  They walk over to Sora's bed and stand over him.

*With the Other's*

Gong: Yuto said Fusion's the way of their enemy?

Yuzu: That's right.

Yuya: Then that must be why Shun went bonkers in his duel against Sora. I bet he's thinking Sora's the enemy because he uses Fusion cards.

Gong: You don't think Sora's a bad guy, do ya?

Yuya: Well, in that duel with Shun, we saw a side of our friend we've never seen before.

Gong: So if Sora is mixed up in all this, then he must have some kind of connection to Shay and Yuto that we don't know about.

Yuya: Huh?

*Yuya Flashback*

Sora: Poor Shun! Still thinking you have a chance. Well here's a reality check!  You're going to lose. It's the one thing you're good at. Isn't that right Shun? You were no match for us when we attacked you, and you're no match for me now!

*End of Flashback*

Yuya: There's definitely some history between those two. But Yuzu, if you know anything else, anything, now's the time.

Yuzu: Uh...

*In Sora's Room*

Sora starts to wake up.  As he opens his eyes he sees two people.

Sora: Yuya?  Zackary?

Yuto: Tell us, Sora.

Sora: You two!

Matthew: Tell us where Ruri is.

*With the Other's*

Gong: So let Gong get this straight. Shun's sister is one of the friends they're trying to save?

Yuzu: That's what Yuto told me.

Yuya: Then that means they must think Sora knows where she is.

Zackary: That certainly explains why they targeted him.

Yuya: And if it's true, they won't let up until she's safe.

*Sora's Room*

Sora: I don't know a Ruri! So just beat it, would ya?

Yuto: No, we're not going anywhere without answers.

Sora: Answers, huh? Fine, how's this? If she's one of your Xyz buddies, you'll never see her again.

Matthew: And why is that?

Sora: Because there would be no way to get her back! It doesn't work that way with us!

Yuto/Matthew: Oh!

Sora: Now tell me where he is!

Yuto: Who do you mean?

Sora: Shun Kurosaki! After all, I have a score to settle with him! Now, give him up!

Sora gets up and grabs his duel disk.

Yuto: There's no score left to be settled.  He already beat you.

Sora: That was luck! No Xyz Summoner could truly beat me! So... Tell me where he is right now and we'll duel again! I'll prove that I'm better! Just you wait. I'll prove it to everyone!

Man: What's going on in there?

They all turn their heads to the door.

Man: Visiting hours are over!

Two guards arrive in the door way.

Guard: How'd you get in here?

Yuto and Matthew speed past the guards.

Sora: Wait up!

Guard: Now just calm down...

Sora: No!

Sora punches past the guards.

*Back With the Other's*

Guard: Hurry up! We've gotta find him!

2nd Guard: He must be here somewhere!

Guard: Yeah, but where? We've looked all over!

Gong: Wonder what's going on.

Guard: He must have made his way outside, sir!

2nd Guard: Let's split up and check the grounds. I'll contact headquarters and request back-up.

Yuzu: My dad said he'd be here soon.

Gong: Sora's still hurt. We gotta find him quick. Probably best for us to split up.  Gong will head to the docks.

Yuya: Me and Zackary will check the east side of town!

Yuzu: I'll check out the west!

*With Sora*

Sora manages to find where Yuto and Matthew are.

Sora: Enough of these games! Where is Shun?

Yuto and Matthew turn to face Sora.

Sora: For the last time... bring me Shun!

Matthew: What would be the point? We all know that you're no match for him.

Sora: Wrong! It's him who'd be no match for me! He could never beat me twice in a row! See, we're the ones who hunt down you Xyz Summoners, not the other way around! That's right! You two and Shun... And this Ruri person you're looking for... You're nothing more than an annoying speck to my people. And if you two don't believe me, I'll be happy to prove it right here and now... By beating both of you! That's what you two get for not giving up Shun. And I'd accept if I were either of you, 'cause even though I'm foggy about this friend Ruri of yours, if my people do have her... Well, guess what? There'd be only one way for you to ever get her back safe and sound!

Yuto: Tell us!

Sora: By taking us down one by one, starting with me. But let's be real. The only one that's gonna be taken down is the both of you!

Matthew: Yuto, you can handle this one.

Yuto activates his duel disk.

Sora: So you really don't want to bring me Shum? Well, fine then. I could totally use a little warming up before I crush him! I'll beat you, your buddy next to you, then after I do, I'll take down Shun and every other Xyz Summoner around!

Sora activates his duel disk.

Yuto: Not happening. We're going to rescue Ruri... And it starts right here!

Yuto/Sora: Let's Duel!

Sora LP: 4000
Yuto LP: 4000
Turn 1: Sora

Sora : I'll draw first! So here goes! I summon the sharply tipped Edge Imp Tomahawk!

Edge Imp Tomahawk: ATK/1800 DEF/800 Lvl:4

Sora: Now those blades will beeline it to your life points! 'Cause by sending one Edge Imp monster in my hand to the graveyard, your life points are cut down by 800!

Yuto is sent a wall.

Yuto LP: 4000 --> 3200

Sora: Ha-- And there's a lot more where that came from! But that'll do for now.

Turn 2: Yuto

Matthew: You okay?

Yuto: I'm fine. I draw! I summon The Phantom Knights of Ancient Cloak!

The Phantom Knights of Ancient Cloak: ATK/800 DEF/1000 Lvl:3

Sora: Ha! The best you can do is summon a monster with only 800 attack points? But then again, I don't know why I'm so surprised. I shouldn't expect more from an Xyz Summoner.

Yuto: Prepare fro the unexpected then. You see, my Knights don't fight alone. When a Level 3 Phantom Knight is on my field I can summon The Phantom Knights of Silent Boots!

The Phantom Knights of Silent Boots: ATK/200 DEF/1200 Lvl:3

Sora: Okay, I get it. You got two monsters with the same Level. So you're gonna Xyz Summon.

Yuto: I overlay Level 3 The Phantom Knights of Ancient Cloak and The Phantom Knights of Silent Boots! With these two monsters, I build the Overlay Network and Xyz Summon The Phantom Knights of Break Sword. Rise, my mighty beast!

The Phantom Knights of Break Sword: ATK/2000 DEF/1000 Rank:3

Break Sword lands on the ground causing s shockwave.

Sora: Awesome! I can't wait 'til I get to destroy it!

Yuto: Sorry to disappoint, but thats not going to happen. Now Break Sword! Cut down Edge Imp Tomahawk!

Break Sword's horse neighs as Break Sword goes in for the attack.  The attack lands spliting Edge Imp Tomahawk in half.  As a result, Sora is pushed back.

Sora LP: 4000 --> 3800

Yuto: I now place two cards facedown and end my turn.

Sora chuckles.

Sora: Aw... After all of the buildup, that's all you could do? Pretty lame if you ask me!

*With Yuya and Zackary*

Yuya: Yuzu, come in! We've looked all over for Sora, but so far nothing!

Yuzu*on call*: Yeah, I haven't had any luck either. What gives? Where could Sora have gone to?

Yuya: I dunno but we can't stop looking 'til we find him!

*Back with Yuto, Matt, and Sora*

LP Check: Sora: 3800 Yuto: 3200
Turn 3: Sora

Sora: So... You busted out an Xyz Summon. Well, I guess it's time for me to show you what real summoning's like! Here goes! I'm activating this sweet spell card Polymerization! With it, I'll fuse my Fluffal Bear... with Edge Imp Sabers! Edge of sharpness and fury of bear! When the two come together, you had better beware! I Fusion Summon! Here it comes! It's the most unbearable monster you've ever seen. It truly is a cut above the rest! Frightfur Bear!

We see Fluffal Bear becoming a much more demonic version of it's self.

Frightfur Bear: ATK/2200 DEF/1800 Lvl:6

Just when Frightfur Bear comes to the field Yuya and Zackary arrive.

Yuya/Zackary: Sora?

They turn their heads to see Yuto and Matthew.

Yuya: Ah! What in the world?

Zackary: They look just like us!

Yuya: It's gotta be Yuto and Matthew.

Zackary: Weird.

Sora: Frightfur Bear! Get set to get decked-.

*Take Two*

Sora: Get set to do some pounding! Now, attack! Take out Break Sword with Pummeling Paw!

Frightfur Bear's paw destroys Break Sword. Knocking Yuto back into the wall.

Yuto LP: 3200 --> 3000

Yuto: Thank you for that! It was exactly what I needed! Because now Break Sword's special ability activates, letting me bring back the monsters that I used to summon it but they're now Level 4!

Ancient Cloak and Silent Boots come back to the field.

The Phantom Knights of Ancient Cloak: Lvl:3 --> Lvl:4

The Phantom Knights of Silent Boots: Lvl:3 --> Lvl:4

Yuto: Do you get it now, Sora? Strike down my monsters and they will rise!

Matthew: Just Like the Resistance will rise over you and your Fusion punks!

Yuya: Man, Yuzu was right!

Zackary: They really don't like Fusion Summoners.

Sora: Now thanks to Frightfur Bear's special ability, it can devour the monster it just destroyed!

Break Sword appears just the be literally eaten by Frightfur Bear.

Sora: And them that monster's ATK are immediately added onto Frightfur Bear's!

Frightfur Bear: ATK/2200 --> ATK/4200

Sora: Guess you were wrong, because it looks to me like the only thing rising around here is my Frightfur Bear's power! So go ahead, Xyz Summon again! Frightfur Bear will just chomp your monster up and gain its ATK anyway. I can't wait to see what you're planning so hurry up and show me!

Sora sets a card face down.

Turn 4: Yuto

Yuto: Okay, then I draw! First things first. I Overlay Level 4 The Phantom Knights of Ancient Cloak and Silent Boots!

Sora: Ha-- You're really gonna do it again?

Yuto: Cloaked in shadows and relentless in its objective, I call upon the dangerous of Dragons!

Dark Rebellion roars!

Yuto: Xyz Summon!

The Xyz Summon of Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon created a bright light.

Yuto: Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!

Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon: ATK/2500 DEF/2000 Rank:4

Yuya: An Xyz Dragon?! This just got real!

Sora: Say, what's the point of you bringing out a monster that's totally weaker than my Frightfur Bear? My monster's so strong, it'll pummel your Dragon into smithereens.

Yuto: Dark Rebellion Dragon's ability is the point. By using one Overlay Unit, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon's special ability activates! Now now until the end of this turn, the ATK of your Frightfur Bear attack points cut in half!

Frightfur Bear: ATK/3200 --> ATK/2100

Yuto: Then Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon gains those attack points.

Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon: ATK/2500 --> ATK/4600

Sora: 'Uh-oh, if he goes and uses its last Overlay Unit, his Dragon will steal half of Frightfur Bear's attack points again.'

Yuya: 'Yuto has this in the bag! All he has to do is use that Overlay Unit and Sora will lose!

Zackary: 'I guess that's it for this duel.'

Yuto: Now I attack!

Sora, Yuya, and Zackary look in surprise.

Sora: What?!

Yuto: Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, take down Frightfur Bear! Mauling Mandible Charge!

Dark Rebellion charges up and goes in to cut Frightfur Bear down to size.  The attack causes and explosion.  Sora is also sent flying away.

Sora: AHHHHHH!

Yuya: This is just like when Shay battled those Leo students. That attack was real!

Sora LP: 3800 --> 1300

Yuya and Zackary gasp.

Yuto: With that, I end my turn. And Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon's attack points return to normal.

Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon: ATK/4600 --> ATK/2500

Yuya/Zackary: Sora!

Yuya and Zackary run towards Sora, who is lying on the ground.

Yuya: Are you okay, Sora?

Sora sits up and pushes Yuya and Zackary away.

Sora: Go away! This doesn't concern either of you!

Zackary: It does now!

Yuya: You shouldn't be dueling in your condition, Sora.

Zackary: Yeah, you're supposed to be resting in the hospital!

Sora looks intensely at Yuto.

Sora: That punk... He could have beat me, but he didn't. But now... He'll regret it!

Sora tries to stand but immediately started to struggle.

Sora: Gotta show him... That I'm better than him!

Zackary: Not a chance, Sora!

Yuya: You're done here! We're not letting you go on like this!

Sora: Both of you, back off! I'm staying right here until I beat him! I'm sorry, but neither of you can possibly understand that I have something to prove!

Zackary: Look, Sora-- Just prove it when you're in a better condition. There'll be a next time.

Sora: No, there won't be. In a battle like this, there is no next time!

Matthew: Sora's right.

Yuto: But I am merciful. I do not wish to fight. So if Sora surrenders, this can be settled without any further suffering.

Matthew: Now put your Duel Disk down and tell us what we want to know-.

Yuto: Or I'll be forced to make sure this is the last duel you ever have.

Yuya: What does that mean? What do you mean this'll be the last duel he ever has?

Zackary: Listen up. You two and Shun have been going after Sora and it's gotta end now!

Matthew: We didn't start this fight-- They did! None of this would've happened if they didn't attack us and kidnap Ruri.

Yuya: Ruri?

Yuto: Now, if you're smart, both of you will leave and let us finish this. After all, this is not your battle. And believe me, you don't want to become a part of it.

Yuya: We won't leave! And we won't let you hurt our friend any more than you already have!

Yuya/Zackary: Which is why we're joining this duel!
