Summary: Shortly after the death of the Flame Pillar, you received the position of the Light Hashira.  You were hardworking and friendly to your coworkers, and didn't hesitate to befriend as much people as you could.  But the Water Pillar grew jealous of your interactions with other people.

"I am pleased to introduce to you, L/N Y/N: the Light Hashira."  Kagaya smiled, before adding, "I hope you all can get along with them."

Some of the others returned his smile, you included, before their eyes landed on you.  You could feel them studying you, attempting to determine if you truly were a worthy replacement for their previous comrade.

"Let the Hashira meeting, begin."

You stepped down from your position beside Oyakata-sama, and knelt beside your fellow Hashira.

The meeting did not last very long.  It was essentially just a report about the amount of demons we'd killed, and the amount of bodies they'd left behind.  Given that you had already been debriefed before the meeting started, you'd hardly spoken at all.  That was all about to change.

Now that the meeting was over, the Pillar's who had no missions were able to converse with each other.  And it was clear to anyone who walked by that they were curious about you.  You were all too willing to chat with them.

You made fast friends with the Love Hashira, Kanroji Mitsuri, and the Insect Hashira, Kocho Shinobu.  Other than the Water Pillar, they were the only two that were temporarily free from their duties.

Of course, all good things must come to an end.  Eventually, they too had to leave.

Only the Water Hashira remained.  Since no one else was around, this was as good an opportunity as any to talk to him.  From what you'd observed during the meeting, he had a rather quiet and timid voice, and he often refused to speak unless spoken to.  Even now, he did not come and talk to you: rather, he waited for you to come talk to him.

So you did.  You had a feeling he would rather listen than talk about himself, so you chatted with him about places you'd seen, and things you'd done, and the scariest mission you'd been on.  He didn't respond, but when you left to go on one of your own missions, he seemed happier.  Perhaps he really had enjoyed himself, but wasn't sure how to show it.

Yet Another Time Skip Brought to You by Author Wanting a Season Three of JJK

Three weeks had passed since you'd became a Pillar.

Uzui Tengen, the Sound Pillar, had retired after a battle with Uppermoon Six, and there seemed to be no replacement for him.  As such, the remaining Pillars were currently on guard, waiting for the next encounter with an Uppermoon.

Or, at least, that is what you were on guard for.  The others were afraid of something else.

Those who spent time with you found themselves haunted by someone.  Someone angry and vengeful.

Shinobu found her goldfish, Fiji, gutted and hidden underneath her pillow.  On it's fishtank, the culprit had written Stay Away From Them in Fiji's blood.

Mitsuri found bouquets of *white chrysanthemums and narcissus flowers* on her doorsteps, and various dead animals she'd taken care of previously.

Slowly but surely, both women began to distance themselves from their colleagues, terrified that one of the Pillars was behind it.  And deathly afraid of what might happen if they found the guilty party.

Perhaps it was childish of him, but Giyuu found he didn't care.  He deserved you attention, didn't he?  And besides, Mitsuri and Shinobu could never love you like he did.  He would tear down the world for you.

It really was too bad you kept associating with other people.

Not to worry: if they were too stupid to heed his warnings, he'd be happy to deliver on his threats.

*White chrysanthemum's symbolize bad luck, and the narcissus flower symbolizes punishment*
