Tomorrow is the day we will be signing the agreement with Amario Enterprises. I was tense about the whole marriage and merger thing but Jessica assured me that Chloe would take care of everything.

She told me the whole situation the other day, we discussed the whole plan regarding the agreement last evening.

"Dad didn't tell me anything about this agreement yet, maybe he wants me to tell everything at the time of signing the agreement so that I couldn't back off. What if my Dad didn't listen to me if I declined this marriage?" Chloe asked nervously.

I suddenly thought about what Chloe said, she did have a point. What if his dad really didn't accept her decision?

"Don't worry, I have a backup plan for this." Jessica interrupted.

I saw Noah entering the room carrying his coffee and he sat beside me.

"What are you guys talking about," Noah asked as he placed his cup on the table.

"About how to decline the marriage agreement without Adrian losing his company" Jessica informed him.

"Well as I was telling you all about the backup plan. So if in any case, Chloe's father decides to oppose her decision then Adrian and Chloe can continue with the agreement. They both can get engaged but as the wedding days draw near you can back off." Jessica finally finished saying her plan. Making Noah look at me with amusement, while Chloe was still looking confused.

"Also, it is not mentioned anywhere in the agreement that you can't get separated or divorced in the future. Once the whole procedure of the merger gets finished, Adrian would tell his parents that he wants to marry me, not Chloe." Jessica said as she ran her fingers through her hair.

"We can try this for now, after all, we don't have any other option right now," I said and finally we ended our discussion

We had dinner together and then everyone went home. I asked Jessica to stay back with me since I want her to accompany me to the company tomorrow.

The next morning I and Jessica were on our way to Amario Enterprises. I was holding Jessica's hand and she constantly reminded me that everything would be as planned.

We finally arrived at our destination, I intertwined my hands with Jessica as we entered the lobby. I saw everyone stop their work and focus their attention on me and Jessica. I smirk seeing their reactions.

We informed the receptionist about our arrival, and she immediately directed us to the 28th floor where the conference room is. As we entered the conference room I saw my father talking with Neil Darrell, Chloe was sitting next to her father, I could see the tension on her face. There was also an old man sitting in the room, he seemed to have a strong authoritative personality.

"Good Morning everyone" I greeted them. I took my seat next to my father, while Jessica sat next to Chloe. I saw a confused look on my father's face as he saw Jessica here but he chose to ignore her. and averted his gaze on the old man present there.

The old man cleared his throat to gain everyone's attention.

"Hello everyone I am Stephen D'Amario, this company was started by me, and later my daughter continued to build this company stronger and I hope you all know the reason for this meeting, We are here for the merger in order to make our relations stronger," he said with a serious look.

I can see Neil Darrell who was now looking tensed and even with the AC on he was sweating.

"All these while this company was handled by son-in-law Neil Darrell. But now I want to transfer the whole authority of the company to my granddaughter, she will be the new CEO of the company. As per the agreement, the legal heiress of Amario Enterprises will be married to the heir of Parker Enterprises." He said with a serious tone.

I was a bit surprised about Chloe being the CEO, I mean she hardly knows anything about this industry. for her parties, clothes, and makeup is her daily interest.

"Is it mandatory for the heir and heiress to get married?" I asked him as Dad gave me a sharp look, indicating me to be quiet.

"Yes Son it is necessary as per the agreement or else you know the consequences" Mr.D'Amario answered. I saw a man in his late 20s handing me the papers of the contract. I read was about to read it when I heard Mr. D'Amario talking on his phone nervously, he looked quite disturbed and worried.

I looked at Jessica, she nodded and asked me to go ahead. I immediately signed the documents. I returned the file to the same man.

As Chloe moved her hands to take the file but it got back in the hands of Mr. D'Amario. I, Jessica, and Chloe were confused. Even Mr. Darrell looks confused from all these

"Isn't Chloe going to sign those?" Jessica asked immediately.

"Why would Chloe sign those papers? I guess we don't even need her here in the first place" Mr. D'Amario answered with a confused look.

"Isn't she the one whom I'm getting married to? As per the agreement I have to marry your granddaughter so Chloe's signature would also be needed" I asked him.

"You are getting married to Sarah Derrell, she is the heiress of the Amario Enterprises, my real granddaughter". he said in a serious tone.

Hearing this my head started spinning, I am supposed to marry Sarah Darrell. I immediately snatched the file and read the name on it, it was indeed Sarah Darrell whom I was supposed to be married to, she even signed the papers.

The last time I heard about Sarah was 5 years back when she ran away from home. I heard that she ran away with the same guy, with whom she made the video and later shared it on social media.

"Sarah couldn't handle all this business well, she is not capable of this position. I think you took the wrong decision" Mr. Darrell said who was now shaking with anger.

"I don't need anyone's advice on my decision, especially when it comes to my company." Mr. D'Amario hissed.

Everyone was shocked at this revelation, except my dad. I can't even think of marrying her ever, she is among those selfish and mean people whom I despise.

"Sorry, I can't marry her. and this is my final decision. I want someone of my class and standard, one who can stand beside me as my wife. I don't think Sarah can be the one ". I informed them. I was about to leave the room. Then I suddenly heard my dad's voice.

"If you backed out from marrying Sarah, you would not only lose the shares but also the Parker Enterprises. I would transfer everything to your cousin, Enrique." this time it was my dad's voice. I immediately stopped and looked at him, I couldn't believe him right now. He exactly knows that I have worked so hard for the company. I signed in frustration but I can't let this happen, I can't lose Parker Enterprises.

"Okay, I will do this," I told him hesitantly. I could see Jessica's eyes which were had tears in them but this the only option I had for now as I had already signed those papers

"Good, I was expecting this from you son, we will announce your engagement this weekend at the anniversary party." My dad informed me.

I immediately left with Jessica after that. The whole ride I was trying to comfort Jessica but she couldn't stop crying. Once we arrived at my apartment, I made her sit on the bed and calmed her down.

"Jessica, Please stop crying love," I said and hugged her tightly.

"She always comes and ruins my life. She steals everything which is mine. I can't lose you, Adrian." She said and started crying again.

"I am just doing this for the merger babe, once everything gets in my control, this whole thing will end. I would leave her that instant." I assured her

" What if it doesn't happen? What if she doesn't leave you? what if you fall for her trap?" She said between her sobs.

"Sweetheart, this will never happen. There will be only one girl in my life and that is you. I would make sure she would regret signing those papers, she would regret doing those bad things to you in the past." I told Jessica.

" I will always love you, Jessica Martin". I confessed while kissing her forehead.

" I love you too, Adrian." She answered.

I just hope everything goes according to my plan, I don't want to lose my company and Jessica. I would make sure that her life would be a living hell so that Sarah beg me to leave her.
