I don't know, why I expected him to support me in this, why am I feeling so distressed when he doesn't even care about his child.

I should have already known about his reaction. I shouldn't have told him about my pregnancy.

I sighed remembering every word that Adrian told me that night

Thankfully after that night, Adrian didn't bother me with his presence, he went to LA due to some work.

He did come to inform me about his departure but I didn't open my bedroom door. Lastly, he put a note near the door and left.

Well I just hope his absence continues to stay for the rest of my life

Even the last three days had been hell on Earth. With all the nausea, and dizziness, I could hardly sleep or even stand.

Considering Ester's advice I took three days off from work since my body feels more exhausted with all these new changes it has been going through because of pregnancy.

Ester did visit me every day making sure I was alright. She even looks after my medicines and food. She stayed here with me for 2 days making sure I was taking everything properly.

Today I will be going back to work as there was a lot of pending work even though I was feeling a bit better, the medicines had helped me a lot to overcome my sickness. Nausea and dizziness were now much better.

I got out of my room and headed to the kitchen to make my breakfast since I can't skip my meals now knowing that someone is growing inside my womb and he/she needs proper nutrition.

I prepared myself some pancakes, I hurriedly made some pancakes with some fruits along with them. I placed my food on my plate and quickly went to take a shower.

After getting done with the shower, I got out of the bathroom. I did my skincare routine followed by some minimal makeup. I dab a thick amount of concealer under my eyes to hide my dark circles.

I styled my hair and sprayed fragrance. I put my lipstick in my bag and headed to the dining table to have my breakfast.

I was eating the fruits when I saw Ester's text. She informed me about the meeting with ARD Enterprises at noon today.

I dropped my fork down on the table and read her text carefully when my mind traveled to Alessandro.

After coming back from the hospital, I tried calling him multiple times but all my calls were unanswered.
I even dropped a text asking him to call me but he didn't respond to me back.

It was pretty clear that he was avoiding me but I still don't know the reason behind it.

What if he doesn't want to be with me anymore?

What if he got tired of my company?

Thinking of him never talking to me, pinched my heart.

I need to talk to him today.

I don't want to lose this bond that I have with him.

I quickly stuffed the fork back into my mouth and finished the remaining food. Once I was finishing my breakfast, I grabbed my bag along with my phone and headed to my car.

I sat inside my car and pulled out my lipstick, using my front camera I applied my nude lipstick.

A single lipstick can do wonders for a  face.

Once I was satisfied with the results, I started my car and drove towards the office.

I parked my car in the parking and headed to the main building.

I was about to enter the elevator when I saw Ester making her way into the elevator as well.

"Good Morning Sarah. What the hell happened to your face?" Ester yelled as she gave me a tight warm hug

"Morning Ester. I have been puking everything for two days and I barely slept last night, what else do you expect me to look like?

" I thought women have that pregnancy glow when she is expecting but your condition is opposite to that." She said

"Not every woman had an unstable life, Ester. Some women like me have to go through many things alone," I replied and we exited the elevator.

"I guess you had told everything to Adrian, wasn't it?" She asked walking behind me

"Yes, I told him about my pregnancy."

"So what did you guys decide? He isn't trying to threaten you for the custody thing, Right? She asked, making me instantly stop

Biting my lips hard, I gathered all my strength and said everything that happened with Adrian when I informed him about my pregnancy.

" That bloody Bast@rd!!! How dare he  ask you to do that?" Ester yelled, which successfully gained the attention of other employees on the floor.

"Sshh... Slow down." I grabbed her hand and took her inside my cabin.

" I had talked to him, now I already made up my mind to exclude his presence from my and my baby's life. After a few months, he would be gone from my life." I replied while making her sit down on the chair.

"There is no use wasting your time and energy on such stupid people. Just leave him as he is, Ester."

She went down cursing him more, while I just stood there agreeing with everything she spoke.

Our bitching cursing therapy was interrupted when we heard the intercom ringing.

I received the phone, where the receptionist informed me about the arrival of Alessandro along with his team.

"Ester gets up, Mr. Dante is here with his team. Get everyone to the boardroom ASAP" I informed her and collected the files of the contract.

"Yes, Boss." She replied while rolling her eyes and walked out of my cabin.

After 5 minutes, I hastily made my way to the boardroom carrying some of the files along with my phone. I was munching some chocolates on my way since I was hungry again.

"Good morning everyone. I smiled at my staff and took a seat next to Ester. 

I was discussing the details of the investment with my team when the door opened. I turned my head to see Alessandro entering the room.

It was almost 4 days since I didn't saw him.

Well, I know 4 days isn't that long time but you can't blame me, I got habituated to seeing him every day after work.

We used to talk for hours,  at least I had someone whom I could talk to without getting judged.

Seeing him standing in front of me made me realize how much I missed his presence, how much I missed talking to him, how much I missed being with him

I stood up from my seat and greeted him with a warm smile. But he replied coldly without even glancing at me

He sat on the chair across from me. His eyes lifted in my direction for a second but he soon averted his gaze to Ester and smiled at her.

What is wrong with him?

Is he ignoring me?

Soon Ester started to give the presentation and discussed the few changes that have been made in the contract.

I just sat there, looking at Alessandro, he was listening to Ester, while I just sat there hoping for him to at least look at me for once.

I rested my index finger on my chin as I observed his features, why does he look even more handsome today?

Damm his side profile looks even finer.

My eyes traveled down to his body, Today he was wearing a dark charcoal grey suit with a white shirt underneath. He was not wearing any tie, while the top three buttons of his shirt were undone.

I noticed his stubble looked much darker than the last I saw him. Even without shaving, he looked more, sexier.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when Ester asked for my approval regarding the new changes in the contract was to be finalized.

I nodded in agreement without knowing the actual changes that they had just decided since my mind was busy admiring the beautiful handsome specimen in front of me.

The meeting was finished and soon everyone started leaving the room. I saw Alessandro making his way to the door as well when I decided to talk to him.

" Aless... Mr. Dante, Could you please stay back for a moment?  I need to talk about something important with you" I stood up from my seat and walked towards him.

He whispered something to his assistant as he walked towards the table again.

I saw Ester collecting the file from the tables in her hand as she walked out of the room, leaving me and Alessandro alone.

"Why didn't you receive my call or text me back? I was waiting for your reply" I asked standing in front of him.

"I saw your text and called Mrs. Parker, but I chose not to respond to it" he replied while his face was dead serious.

Wait did he just call me Mrs. Parker?

He never did that before.

"Uhmm... Are... Are you mad at me for something? That day in the hospital also you didn't talk to me and left. Did I do something to offend you, Alessandro?"

"Why will I be offended by you? You had everything in your life. Why do you even want to know what's bothering me?" He replied back

His orbs were now staring straight at mine. Unlike other days, today his eyes were full of sorrow and dispassion.

"I care about you Alessandro, your behavior is distressing me now. I don't want to lose a friend like you. Please tell me what is wrong."

"Ahh... You care about me, you just care about me as a friend. You can't see how much I f*ckin love you. You just don't have any feelings for me, Mrs. Parker. All you see is that assh0le husband of yours."

"And what do you expect from me when I got to know that the only girl I had been chasing for so long was having a baby with her husband and even she decided to go back to her abusive husband? Sorry, but I can't be here and see you going back to that b@stard again" He screams making my breath hitch.

Wait did he say that he loves me??

" I am going back to Italy tomorrow, There is nothing left for me here, I will be handling everything from Italy now. This will be our last meeting I guess."

Anyways, Congratulations on the baby Mrs. Parker. I hope you and your husband have a great life ahead." He spoke with a small smile on his face.

I could see his knuckles were clenched into fists as if he was trying to control his temper.

While his last words were like a dagger to my heart.

He is leaving the States and going back, you even disappointed him, Sarah.

All he did was love me all these years but I ended up hurting him.

A sudden realization hit my heart when I recalled how distressed I was for the last 4 days when I could see him or talk to him.

And now when he was going so far from me was making my heart feel even more miserable.

I saw him walking towards the door slowly. Before he could open the door I dashed towards him, I yanked his arm, making him face me.

Without thinking anything beyond, I pulled his shirt making his face close to mine, and kissed him.

I kept moving my lips against his but he stood there motionless while his lips were shut.

After a few seconds, I pulled away from him when I realized he wasn't kissing me back.

I felt embarrassed knowing I was the one to initiate the kiss when doesn't even want to kiss me.

He doesn't want you now Sarah, you lost him already.

I stepped back from him and finally told him everything that was running in my mind.

"I. I am just keeping the baby. I and Adrian are not going to be together again after the baby as well. I don't want to be with him anymore "

"Also I don't want you to go back to Italy. I wanted you to stay here with me but if you have decided to go back then I won't stop you either." I finally let out everything that was inside me.

I lifted my head to stare into his eyes, which were fixed on me.

Knowing he wasn't going to say anything further I slowly started to walk away.

Before I could even take any step further, Alessandro grabbed my wrist and pulled me closer to him. Within a second his lips crashed on mine.

With the passing minute, our tongues started to move and the kiss became more intense.

I was busy kissing him when he slowly broke the kiss. He glanced at me while resting his forehead against mine

"I love you, Sarah." He spoke in his deep voice.

He loves me!!

He still loves me!!

Even after knowing everything about me and my life, he loves me.

Without thinking anything much further, I knew that I had the same feelings for him. Within this short time, I fell for Alessandro.

He makes me feel safe and happy. With him around, all my worries disappear.

Or maybe having him aside makes me, even more, stronger than all the problems and worries that seemed to be small.

I still don't know how I had fallen for him but am glad that he came into my life.

"I love you too, Alessandro," I replied. As soon as those words left my mouth, I saw Alessandro's eyes, twinkling brightly.

"Say that again," Alessandro said while cupping my cheeks.

"I love you," I answered back. He smiled at my answer and captured my lips again.

We both were busy kissing each other when he lifted me and placed me on the desk while his lips were still attached

His hands were running all over my body while my fingers were feeling through his soft black hairs

I was pulling closer to him while he was kissing me hungrily like a beast. He tugged on my bottom lips and kissed me even harder.

Before these kisses got more intense, we decided to pull apart.

I saw his hair messed up with our kissing session, which made him look even more delicious.

I wonder what else he has got behind those clothes

Shit!! Why the hell am I feeling so horny??.

I quickly shook those thoughts away when my eyes traveled to his lips, which I had kissed before.

I let out a chuckle seeing my lipstick smudged all over his lips. I quickly wiped it out with the tissue kept aside.

"Well this was one of the best kisses, I ever had." He said, smirking at me.

"Mine as well" I replied as he engulfed me in a warm hug.

I just wish we stayed like this forever
