Brighton

Marcus's POV

I'd missed living in Brighton, I left when I was 4 so I only had a few nursery friends. The only person I remember from there was Alfie. Our parents had kept in touch up until a few years ago when my dad passed. My mum wanted to get away from Liverpool and go back to the place where Me and my sister Fran grew up.

We walked into our new house. Fran was smiling.

"It's amazing!?" She exclaimed. It was modern and huge. Just like the bachelor pads in all the movies.

I unpacked my things into my new room. I didn't bring much. I wanted a fresh start. I decided to go for a walk into the town and shop for school supplies. The term started in a week and I was not prepared.

I made my way to a small stationery shop which I remembered I'd seen on the way here. I walked in and picked up the essentials. I was turning a corner when I bumped into two girls.

"Sorry," I muttered. One of the girls had dark brown hair with blonde ends and the other was full blonde. She was gorgeous.

"It's okay," the blonde girl said. "You look lost?" She looked into my eyes. She was beautiful.

"Well I just moved here from Liverpool and I start school in a week, I don't know anyone?" I kinda nervously chuckled.

"Oh, what school are you gonna be at?" The brown haired girl asked? I looked back at the blonde girl.

"Ugh.. RedOak?" I asked. I hoped they knew it. I hoped they went there...

"Oh RedOak! We go there! You'll love it!" I smiled.

"Thanks, I'm Marcus by the way," I said.

"Cool, I'm Niomi," said the blonde girl...such a pretty girl..."and this is Zoe," she said laughing at me. I was in a bit of a daydream.

"I'll see you round then?" I said. They smiled as I went to pay for my things. I walked out and waved. I saw them giggling at me. I always wonder what it means when girls giggle at you.

I walk down to TopMan and find a nice leather backpack. I pay and throw my other things into the bag I just brought. I lower the straps so it sits at the bottom of my back. I walk down the streets back to my new house. I hear a car horn behind me. I turn around. It's the girls from earlier,

"Wanna lift?" Zoe says. I nod and jump in the back. Naomi and Zoe were singing so I mock them causing them to burst into fits of laughter. I direct Zoe to my house. She looked at it in awe as we pulled up.

"No way!" She said, I laughed.

"What?" I asked.

"My ex used to live here?" She said. Niomi looked at Zoe.

"Zoe, you shouldn't speak about him, you have Alfie now!" She said with worry in her voice.

"Wait...Alfie?" I asked puzzled.

"Yeah Alfie Deyes?" Niomi said looking at me funny.

"No way I went to nursery with him!" I said, my mouth was wide open.

"So did we!" Zoe exclaimed. I couldn't believe Id met these girls before. The world is such a small place! "But I thought you were from Liverpool?" She asked.

"I lived in Brighton till I was 4, then we moved because of my dad's job. But after he passed my mum said we had no use up north anymore, so here I am?!" I said smiling. Talking about my dad hurt. But everyday got better.

"Sorry to here about your loss," said Niomi. Her voice was so soothing.

"It's okay, it was a year ago now, but my mums still pretty upset," I said looking to my shoes. That's when I heard her shout from the window.

"Marky!?" Whoops she probably knew I was in the car.

"I gotta got but I guess I'll see you when school starts?" I got out the car and thanked them. The girls drove off doing their giggly thing again.

After dinner I decided to make a new video about moving house and the struggles. I mentioned Niomi and Zoe, and how they helped me before school had even started. I shut down my camera and began editing. It was about 1pm before I'd finished. I checked my Facebook to see two new friend requests. One from Zoe and the other from Niomi. I was scrolling through her page, she looked so gorgeous on all her photos. I drifted off to sleep after a while.
