Jaykit a gray, black, and white kit slowly opened his eyes to find his siblings hadn't woken him up before the ceremony. Jaykit slowly walked out of his den to find his leader Wolfstar, a smoky white and gray color has just started speaking.

"Let all cats gather here before our ancestors," Wolfstar called. Jaykit quickly got up and ran outside of his den. His father, Sharpclaw, was already outside waiting for him. So was his foster mother, Foxfur and siblings Mothkit, Riverkit, and Pondkit.

"Ahh, Jaykit seems you've woken up just in time. Take a seat next to your siblings," Foxfur sighed. Jaykit waddled over to join his siblings.

"Today is a great day. Today we have 5 lovely kits ready to start their training," Wolfclaw continued. "Badgerkit," He started looking down at a slightly taller black cat who looked like a badger just with one white paw. "Today we celebrate you comming of age to start your training. From this day fourth until he earns his warrior name Badgerkit shall be known as Badgerpaw and you mentor with be Snowpelt. I trust your ready Snowpelt."

"Yes Wolfstar," Snowpelt answered, and stood up. Wolfstar nodded and continued, kit after kit until he finally got to me.

"Today we celebrate you comming of age to start your training. From this day fourth until he earns his warrior name Jaykit shall be known as Jaypaw and your mentor will be Sharpclaw. Sharpclaw you hadn't failed me with any other apprentices I trust you to pass your skills onto Jaypaw here."

"I won't let you down Wolfstar," Shapclaw answer in a tone that sounded angry. Jaypaw ears dropped. He quickly got up and ran out of their camp before the meeting was even dismissed. His breathing was heavy as he rushed down to the river and flopped down curling into a ball.

"No, no, no. T-this can't be-" Jaypaw mumbled but stopped at the sound of pawsteps.

"Jaypaw- was it?" Jaypaw slowly looked up to see Badgerpaw had followed him. He stopped shaking.

"Yes.." He mumbled.

"Is something bothering you?" Badgerpaw asked. Jaypaw slowly sat up.

"It's nothing..-" He answered.

"You sure? You were just shaking and left before the meeting was even over."

"I'm- I'm fine.."

"Jaypaw. I might not know you well but I know well enough to know somethings bothering you. It's ok if you don't want to tell me but please come back with me. Snowpelt wanted to train with you and Sharpclaw."

"Oh- ok..."

"Come on lets go back." Jaypaw stood up and followed Badgerpaw back to camp.

"Finally the petty little kit returns." Sharpclaw growled. Jaywing felt a shiver run through his body. "Come were wasting daylight. Already wasted enough as it is." Sharpclaw started walking toward the exit, and Snowfur followed. " You comming kit?" Sharpclaw hissed as he turned his head back to look at Jaypaw.

"Y-yes father..." Jaypaw slowly followed. Badgerpaw looked at Jaypaw worried. "Hate him." Jaypaw muttered under his breath.

"Don't worry Jaypaw... I'll be here for you if you need!" Badgerpaw proudly mewed.

"Thanks..-" Jaypaw giggled.
