"There's the finish line. You can do this, princess!" Duncan exclaims.

Yep, there it is. With Owen out of the bathroom, both him and Gwen are hot my trail, but nothing can stop me now. To victory!

"There they are. Three real competitors, and if I may say, truly personifying the spirit of the reject Olympics," Chris says.

I frown noticing Izzy walk to the front of the finish line with a plate of freshly made brownies, and Geoff as he plugs up Chris's giant fan.

What the hell?

What are they- oh no. When Owen gets a whiff of those brownies, it's over. He'll win for sure.

"I think it's over for me, dude," Owen pants.

"It's too bad, bro. I would've liked going to that party," I hear Trent say.

Suck up!

"Wait," Owen says a bit more energetic. "Is that... brownies?! Move!"

Uh, oh!

"Ah!" I scream as Owen pushes pass Gwen and I, making me face plant into the ground.

I quickly sit up and I swipe my hand under my nose. No, not this. Not right now! This cannot be happening.

Blood!

"No, no, no! It's just a little blood, Mal," Duncan tries to encourage me as he sits on the ground next to me. "You can do this, you've done it before."

"What's the point?" I ask discouragingly. "Owen won. He won the money, and now I'm dying. Curse you browines!"

"You're not dying, babe. Your nose is bleeding, but I can make it better," he says as he wipes away the nasty, icky, red substance from my face.

"See?" He reassures. "All better."

"Thanks, Duncan," I say with a a smile. "But how can I win now? Owen won't stop at anything to get those brownies."

"Come on, look at all of those people cheering you on. We know you can do it. You're not only hot, but you're the toughest girl out there."

I look at all of my friends. I guess he's right. I got here because I worked hard for my spot. I didn't have to form alliances, I didn't have to sabotage anyone. I told Warner the only way I'd do this show is if I can stay true to myself, and that's what I did. I've formed amazing friendships, I've completed the hardest challenges that I'll probably need therapy for, and I've eaten the nastiest food to ever touch a dinner plate... I also beat Heather and crushed her dreams of being the final three.

"I'm winning this thing," I tell Duncan.

"That's my girl!"

I stand to my feet, and I'm stunned as I watch Owen completely crush Izzy. He starts to devour the plate of brownies, just short of the finish line.

"Dude, the finish line is over there," Geoff says disappointingly. "Now the girls are catching up."

Owen is in a chocolate funk, and I think Izzy is dead. It's my time to shine. I look at Gwen, and she looks at me. We both cut our eyes at each other. It's all friendly competition of course, but I'm still going to win. We immediately take off towards the finish line.

"Malibu's in the lead!" Chris announces. "It's Gwen! ... No, It's Mal! ... Gwen! ... Mal!"

I close my eyes and just go for it. I have never ran this fast in my entire life. If I go any faster, I'll probably start flying! I can hear as all of our friends cheer us on.

"Go, Mal!"

"Let's go, Gwen!"

"And the winner is.." Chris starts.

Almost there...

"Gwen!"

"And Malibu- It's a tie!"

What!?

...

I open my eyes, and Gwen and I look at each other. I turn around and the red ribbon marking the finish line is broken. For a moment it's quiet, but then-

ALL OF OUR FRIENDS CHEER, AND GWEN AND I ARE TOSSED IN THE AIR. I sit on Duncan and DJ's shoulders as Trent spins Gwen around over his shoulder.

...I won.

So did Gwen, but... I won... We won! I finished Total Drama Island, and I'm leaving with a whole bunch of money in hand.

...

"I can't believe it! Gwen and I won Total Drama Island, and you know what? I'm not even mad about it."

"I won Total Drama Island.. With one of my best friends, and my dreams of starting my own fashion empire are finally coming true. Warner, we did it!"

...

I stand with Gwen and Chris in front of the other campers for one last camp fire ceremony. My hands are sweaty. I don't know why I'm so nervous. I feel like I'm going to throw up at any second! Not only are we getting our very last marshmallow, but we were both presented with a massive check that's taller than me! Me, Malibu, a one hundred-thousanaire! I feel like I'm dreaming!

I wish my mom and Warner were here. It would only make this already awesome moment even more awesome.

2 awesomes in one sentence? Owen really has rubbed off on me.

"Here we are," Chris starts. "At the last bonfire ever. After eight brutal weeks, it is my great pleasure to announce the winner of Total Drama Island... Malibu and Gwen!"

Everyone begins to cheer.. Except for Heather. The fact that Gwen and I, the people Heather hated the most, have won the entire competition, just puts the biggest smile on my face. I am going to sleep well tonight.

"Malibu, Gwen, at this time, I give you the ultimate symbol of survival. The final marshmallows."

Gwen and I accept the final marshmallows. Instead of eating them, we decide to toss them to Owen instead. Hey, he was actually a really tough competitor. I would've never thought that me, Gwen, and Owen would be the final three, but look at us now.

"I'll treasure it for the rest of my life!" He says, but then quickly stuffs them in his mouth.

"Hey, Owen. You know what it's time for?" I ask.

...

"No, no, no! Guys, my hair! Dudes!" Chris screams as the guys throw him in the lake.

The girls and I bust out laughing. Even chef is laughing as Chris is desperately trying to save his not so perfect hair from the gross, radioactive lake water.

"I've been wanting to do that all summer! How do you like that, pretty boy?! Huh?!" Chef exclaims.

Leshawna, Gwen, Bridgette and I continue to laugh at poor Chris and an amused Chef. I look at Heather who is standing a ways away- oh, she's miserable. I actually feel kinda bad for her. I'd be in a bad mood too if I had to wear that awful wig and was locked in the outhouse all day after Owen's stank diarrhea (thank you, Leshawna).

"Oh, come on! You've gotta be a little bit happy to see him get dunked," I tell her as a playfully nudge her shoulder.

"No... Yeah, a bit," she admits, finally letting her guard down.

"You still stink though," I laugh.

"And I still hate you," she laughs genuinely.

As the festivities continue, I hear a phone ring, and one of the interns brings Chris his cell, plus a towl to dry off with. He dries his hair off of course and then answers the phone. After a few moments, his face hardens and he gets all serious like. Why do I feel worried? I mean, I have nothing to be worried about, right? Gwen and I won fair and square.

"So we've got a problem," Chris says after hanging up.

"What's up, man?" Geoff asks as him and the guys walk over onto the dock.

"Yeah, this better be good. I'm ready to go home," Heather complains.

"So apparently the fans are really mad about Gwen and Malibu tying for first."

"It's not like we planned this," I say. "We're not mad, so what's the issue?"

"The issue is," Chris starts. "It's started a total fan war."

"Fan war?" Gwen asks confusingly.

"It means that Malibu's fans and your fans are fighting," Leshawna explains.

"Exactly," Chris adds. "They think the studio forced you two to cross the finish line at the same time, so both sides are boycotting the studio, all while debating whether or not Gwen or Malibu really won.."

"So what should we do?" I ask. "Make a statement?"

"Yeah," Gwen agrees. "Maybe both Mal and I can get on camera and tell the fans to chill out."

"Oh, so you're celebrities now?" Heather asks bitterly.

"Sadly it's not that easy," Chris says. "Some of the biggest brands are co signing the boycott."

"What, who?!" I ask.

"Well for starters, Nike, Puma, even Louis Vuitton have publicy supported Team Malibu."

"You've got to be kidding me!" Heather yells.

"That is so cool! All the major shoe brands are supporting Mal!" Lindsay says excitingly.

"That's my girl," Duncan says as he wraps his arm around my waist.

"Well that's my best friend-," Bridgette says.

"You mean, my best friend," Leshawna tries to correct her.

"Didn't you try to get her voted off the island?" Beth asks innocently.

Everyone begins screaming at each other trying to prove how close I was to each of them, while Gwen and I stand here confused. I mean, why are people so mad? We're both really happy that we both get to be winners, isn't that the most important thing here?

"Everyone, shut up!" I yell, and they do. "So what now, do we have to do a tie breaker?"

"I'm down for one last challenge if that'll get people to calm down,"  Gwen says.

"We could," Chris says thoughtfully. "But the losers fans will go mad. Malibu's fandom is already taking over twitter and planning to riot the station. And Malibu vs. Gwen is even bigger than Heather vs. Malibu and Malibu vs. Her Father."

This is all too much. I mean, fans? Malibu vs. Gwen? I never wanted this. All I want to do is design shoes. I don't want to be some reality star, social media take over- whatever this is!

"So what?" I ask getting annoyed.

"Are we getting our money or not?" Gwen asks. "I'm ready for this whole thing to be over with. Mal and I are friends again. There shouldn't be any drama."

"Mmm, sadly no."

"What?!" Gwen and I scream.

I did not compete in this nasty, roach infested, stanky, camp for most of my summer just to leave with nothing. I need to talk to Warner, this can not be happening!

"Don't fret," Chris tells us. "Because you all will have another chance to win not one hundred thousand dollars... BUT A MILLION DOLLARS ON SEASON 2!"

"Season 2?!" Heather and I exclaim together.

"Hey!" Eva calls as her and the rest of the campers join us on the dock. "What's this about another season?"

"Oh, forget this. I didn't agree to season two," Duncan replies. "Just give my girl her money so we can go."

"Actually, you did," Chris corrects. "It's called the fine print. Read it, live it, love it!"

"I hate the fine print!" Gwen says darkly.

"I'm going to kill Warner," I add angrily.

"As for the rest of you, your treasure hunt ends here, along with all your hopes of ever winning any money off of being on this show. The good news, though? You'll be watching all the action on season two from the sidelines!"

"Wait a minute! I wanna be on season two!" Courtney exclaims.

"Tut tut tut tut! Fine print."

...

"Season 2... I can't believe that we have to go through another season of this. I love my fans, but why couldn't you all just be happy for me? I was fine sharing first place with Gwen."

"Awe, I guess I can't be too mad you guys. Don't worry, I'll be sure to win the next season again, BY MYSELF, for sure. Also, a million dollars?! I was looking forward to 100 grand, but do you know what I could do with a million dollars?!"

"I just hope I got rid of my Heather problem during season 1. And at least now Duncan and I can move on with our relationship. We can finally go on our date and get somewhere. What can go wrong?"

...

"Yes, this is so awesome!" Izzy yells. "E-Scope is coming back! E-Scope is coming back!"

"This is so exciting!" Beth exclaims. "Lindsay, if you win and you buy France, will you invite me over?"

"For sure!"

"In exactly two weeks, you'll all report to a brand new location for a whole new challenge and the last one standing will receive one. Million. Dollars! So don't forget to tune in... to Total. Drama. Action!"
