I woke up stretched and yawned. I looked around and expected Beth and Lindsay to be going on about something stupid, and Courtney to be ranting while no one listened. But do you know what I heard?

Nothing.

Not one thing. It was completely silent.

Alright what’s gonna fall on me?

I got up cautiously looking around. “Weird” I said quietly. I looked in all the beds all around the trailer, there was no one else here. I threw a red sweatshirt over my pajamas and went outside after slipping my sneakers on. Again outside the world was dead silent.

I’ve never been so confused before. “Hey? Anyone here?” I said.

I sighed and walked around more, there is no way I'm the only one here. It’s just not possible. “Duncan!” I yelled.

“Duunnnccaannnn!” I yelled a little louder.

Okay, so let’s at least look at the situation I’m in: I’m alone for the first time in forever, there's no Chris, no challenge, no annoying people, most importantly no Courtney……

IT’S TIME TO BE FUCKING HAPPY!

I smiled when I realized this wasn’t a trick and ran to the craft services. I went in softly singing to Up All Night, I found the fridge and took out some shrimp that was in a fancy little glass with sauce in the middle.

“Why Chef, may I have this?” I whispered.

Then smiled “Oh yeah, I’m alone, you can’t cut my head off” I said taking a piece dipping it in the cocktail sauce and started eating.

I glanced over at the butcher knife on the table. “Just in case” I said pushing it on the floor. You could never be too careful with Chef.

I walked out to the tables still in jam out mode but this time cause I started to sing Moves Like Jagger. While walking I saw Duncan laying on one of the table’s headphones in his ears.

I screamed just out of shock. “Asshole you scared me!” I said putting my shrimp down. He didn’t move. Just laid on the table, listening to his iPod. I could hear Rick Ross and Lil Wayne rapping John from out here.

“Duncan!” I yelled a little louder. Still nothing.

“DUDE!” I said. This time he opened his eyes.

“Finally” I smiled. “Oh hey babe” He said kissing me quickly.

I laughed “Hi” He lowered his music then turned it off putting it in his pocket. I sat next to him pulling him in for a longer kiss. “Mmm, believe that I missed that just for one night?” he asked.

I smiled “Sure, I did too kid”

He smiled “Why does your mouth taste like delicious shrimp?”

I laughed and pointed to the shrimp which were sitting on the other table. “Score!” he said going over to them. He put one in his mouth and I took the platter away before he could take another “Ah! Bitch!” He said mouth full, making me smile.

“I didn’t give you permission to have my shrimp did I?”

“No, but I think you could find it in your heart” He said. I thought “Hmmm, nope” I smiled.

 “Pleaasseee baby?” He said giving me his puppy dog face. “Duncan” I warned, he knew I could resist that.

 He moved my hand and forced me to look at it. “Please?” I sighed.

“Okay! Okay!” He smiled in victory taking two more. “Asshole” I said.

“But you love this asshole” He said.

“Hmm, yeah I do” I said.

He smirked “Win” I laughed.

“So I have a question” I said. “Go” he said.

“Where is everyone?” I asked. “Oh, Aftermath today” He said.

“Ohhh, that makes more sense, I was so happy I was like alone today” I said.

“Even without me?” He asked making another puppy dog face. I shoved him again laughing. “Eh. Dude we’re watched all day long, a day full of Alex is like a dream” I said.

“What about a day of Alex AND Duncan?” He asked.

I smiled “That could work too” I said. He kissed me and I kissed him back. “Ah, nice shrimpy mouth” I said.

“That's me” He said making me laugh. “Hey you know what I wanna do?” I asked.

“What?”

“Swim!” I said happily jumping up. “I mean if you can bare to leave the shrimp for six seconds”

“Eat like a hungry kid? See sexy girlfriend in a bikini?” He said moving his hands as if they were a scale. “I’m thinking I’d go with you” he smiled moving the Alex hand up more.

“That's what I thought” I said. “Now, meet me by the water in ten”

“Yes mam” He said as we kissed quickly. I ran back to the trailer getting quickly changed into my bikini grabbed my towel and phone. I threw my towel over my shoulder and while walking to the water I felt arms go around my waist pick me up and spin me around.

I screamed a little bit out of happiness cause I knew who it was. “Duncan!” I said. He put me over his shoulder and made me drop my phone.

“Ducannn! Phone” I said pointing to it even though he couldn’t see it.

“I’ll buy you a new one” He said.

 I don’t know why but that made me smile, a lot. Even though he’d mostly take the money from a bank somewhere, that's like a love poem to me.

“Drop your towel” He said.

“Why?” I asked.

“Unless you want it soaked” He said.

“Duncan don’t you dare” I said.

He smiled “Oh I dare” He said. “Duncan!” I laughed.

“Swim time!” He said throwing me in. I stayed under for a minute then got up for air. Duncan although wasn’t standing where he was before.

“Duncan?” I said looking around. “Boo!” Arms went around my waist and I was pulled under. After a few second I surfaced and turned to see Duncan’s face with a big smile on it.

I coughed a little “You know it’s times like these where I’m SURE your trying to kill me” I said.

“Well I wouldn’t have to share the million then…” He said.

“DUNCAN!” I said hitting his chest.

He laughed huggin me close to him. “Don’t worry babe, I’m kidding. If I ever hurt you it’d be a complete accident, I’d never hit you baby” He said kissing me.

Duncan’s sarcastic, he has attitude with authority, and he just fucks with everyone. That’s who he is, but whenever this subject comes up, he gets DEAD serious.

“I know. But you can hurt me in other ways” I said.

He kissed my forehead. “That's all over. And it won’t be coming back my love” He said.

I smiled “Double pinky cross promise?” I said.

“Alex…” he said smile a little.

“Come on!” I said laughing. He sighed crossing his arms, I crossed mine and we connected pinky’s. “I double pinky cross promise” He said.

“Yay” I smiled.

“Your such a five year old” He said.

“What five year old can hijack a car?” I asked.

“We could” he said.

I smiled “We were so made for each other” He wrapped his arms around me tighter and we kissed. Long and meaningful. Until I wanted to mess with him and I bit his tongue lightly. He laughed as I pulled away.

“Did you bite my tongue?” He asked. “I don’t know, maybe” I smiled.

“Oh you are one dead girl” He said.

“Gotta catch me first babe!” I said getting out of the water grabbing my towel. When he started to catch up to me I whipped him with my towel. “Ow!” he said.

I smiled “Oh you baby that didn’t hurt” I said.

He smiled “Yeah yeah yeah” He said picking me up over his shoulder again and bringing me to the water line. Along the way, I picked up my phone, yeah I’m gonna wait till we get home without a phone, funny story.

We sat on the dock and talked, and kissed and just were us. I never wanted it to end. “Hey Duncan” I said.

“Hey Alex” He repeated. I smiled. “

I have another question” I said.

“Then again, Go” he said making me smile.

“Can you sing?” I asked.

“Why?” He asked looking into my eyes.

I looked back into his. “I dunno, just wondering, I wanna hear you sing” I smiled.

“Duncan’s don’t sing” he said.

I smiled hitting his chest. “Please? For me?” I asked.

He sighed “Just a chorus?” He asked.

“What about a chorus and a verse?” I asked.

He once again sighed “Nothing’s easy with you is it?” He asked.

“Not at all”

“Does it matter what song it is?” He asked.

“I wanna pick!” I smiled.

“I swear to god if you say Big Time Rush”

I smiled “No, it’ll be a song we both like” He smiled “Alright go”

I thought about Space Bound, which was a song we both listened to when we were pissed at each other, well me pissed at him, he never gets mad at me, then again, I’m not the one fucking up.

Then a song hit me. “You always listen to The Carter IV right?” I asked.

He nodded. “Can you sing me Mirror?”

He smiled “How’d you know I loved that song?”

“I didn’t” I smiled. He kissed me then started.

I smiled looking up at him and kissing him quickly “Duncan, I know you say you don’t sing, but you have the perfectest voice my love” I said.

“I love you” he said.

“I love you too” I smiled.
