The First Day.

Emily Hartwell.

It was day one of this new school, Great. I could just feel my head busting open, Every kid hates going to a new school. No friends, you have no idea were anything is and everybody is either mean or nice.

The uproar of my Mom yelling at me that I was going to be late. I groaned as I dragged myself out of the comfort of my bed, the radio blasting in my room with 5 seconds of summer.

As I switched on the bathroom light it immediately stung my eyes as if it was acid. My hair all about the place and in knots, dragging my brush through my hair to try and at least make it presentable.  After having a tug of war fight with my hair I finally got it to look decent enough.

My mom had laid out a light blue dress just coming to my thighs, a white cardigan and white doc martins. I quickly got myself changed into them before rushinh downstairs, my bag draped over my shoulder.

The daily routine,  Mom making breakfast and Dad reading the local newspaper and drinking coffee. "Hi sweetie." My mom said blissfully,  I didn't return my smile in the same tone, my smile was more a forced one.

I grabbed a slice of toast before heading out the door. I wasn't on speaking terms with my parents at the moment due to the fact they drove me miles and miles away from my friends.

People would say I'm lucky, fresh start and that bull. I'm not a fan on the fact we had to move because of my Dad's new job. Stupid job more like.

I walked the whole way to my new school. New school, New people. The school wasn't half huge, my old school was barely half the size of this place. Eyes were prying onto me as if I was meat. Well in statistics you could say I'm fresh meat.

Within my first few minutes of arrival a group of 3 girls came up to me. The first with long blonde wavy hair and a great sense of fashion, yet she was more interested in her phone. The second one with jet black hair who had a death glare locked onto the blonde girl. Then the third one, Chesnut brown hair and a huge smile.

"I'm Spencer. Your Emily right?" The Chesnut haired one asked.

It took me a few seconds to respond as I was still out of it.  "Oh yeah, I'm Emily."

"That's Caroline." She pointed at the Jet black haired girl. "And the other one is Talia." She nodded her head at the blonde.

"Like seriously, I've sent Lucas about 100 messages over the summer and he hasn't replied to anyone of them." Talia spoke up.

"He's probably busy, Jeez you're more clingy than honey boo boo is to chicken wings. Anyways you're dating Davis, remember?" Caroline spoke then Talia nodded her head in 'oh right'

"Speaking of Lucas. There he is." Spencer pointed towrds a dark brown haired boy coming towards us.

"You must be Emily!" He spoke cheerily.

"Does everyone know my name or something?" I asked, my eyes staring around at everyone.

"Word travels around here." Spencer nodded her head.

"Uh oh, Callahander has spotted the fresh meat." By fresh meat, Talia obviously meant me.

A girl making her way over hear. It took by surprise as the girl looked more like a boy. Boyish features,  including the hair. A ginger colour with a more jock look to her.

"Well well, we have some fresh meat." The girl spoke up in an English accent. "The name is Mason Callahander." Mason sent a smirk flying my way.

"Callahander beat it, can't you see that she's not interested in you." Caroline scoffed before Mason walked away.

"Sorry, That's Mason." Lucas sent a small smile my way.

"Asshole much?" I quirked my eyebrow and all 4 of them burst out laughing.

"I like the new girl." Caroline spoke up as we all walked to registration.

The first few classes went by quickly. The group had filled me in with everybody to watch out for. Like Mason and the jocks. The few bitch girls of the school and another girl Paige logan.

They say Paige never speaks to anyone after her secret got out, now she just sits alone. They also say never try to speak to her, she won't make the effort back.

I explained to them how I was gay, yet they were extremely accepted as long as I don't end up in Mason's bed.

"Want us to drive you home Emily?" Lucas asked, I of course didn't want to walk home so I took them up on there offer.

Once Lucas reached my house, I waved goodbye to the group before walking into my house and up to my room.

What a first day.
