Emily Hartwell.

All 5 of us were gathered around our usual lunch table at school, Lucas and Talia still weren't speaking with each other. Which was odd, they have been friemds since they were 5, well Spencer told me.

"Hey how about we do something tonight." Caroline suggested, but nobody spoke up.

"I wish I could, but I've got dinner with the Callahander family. Oh the joys." I rolled my eyes.

"The Callahanders?" Talia asked, as she leaned over the table.

"You're in my food." Lucas grumbled.

"Deal with it." Talia snapped.

"Maybe if you moved away from my food, I don't want my sandwich to perfumefied." Lucas pushed Talia down, Talia was going to hit Lucas but Spencer stopped her.

"Yeah, my mom's got this business deal with Mr Callahander." I nodded.

"Good luck to you." Caroline looked at her plate of food in disgust. "Man, it's like hard as a brick. I don't get how they can permit this in school."

"I'll need all the luck I can get with Mason." I groaned, leaning my head back.

"How's things with Paige?" Lucas asked as he played about with his food.

"We are good. She still isn't a big fan with the whole Mason thing. She didn't want me going to this dinner tonight, I really wish I could get out it." I groaned louder.

"Speaking of Callahander." Caroline pointed her fork at Mason.

"Just great." I mumbled under my breath as Mason passed our table.

"Aww, Callahander has been rejected. Turn that frown upside down sunshine." Caroline said with a smirk.

"I suggest you shut up Clarkson." Mason growled.

"Or what?" Caroline folded her arms and turned around to look at Mason.

"That food will be on your face." Mason spat as she walked away.

"Well wasn't that a ray of sunshine." Spencer said sarcastically.

By the time I got home my mom was all fancy looking and so was my dad. My parents both are in the business world so this was just like another meeting to them.

"Come on Emily, you need to go get dressed." My mom rushed me up the stairs and into my room. I didn't really get why they were making a big deal about this, we're only going to the Callahander household.

It didn't take me that long to get dressed, I went downstairs and into the car with my mom and dad. It didn't take that long to get there which was good, I hate long car journeys, they suck.

We made our way up the driveway and to the door, my mom rang the doorbell and it was Mr Callahander that answered, but it was a look of surprise, actually it was a look of surprise on all there faces.

Once we stepped inside, we could all hear the music blazing from Mason's room amd Mr Callahander wasn't too pleased.

"Just give me one second." Mr Callahander spoke with a thick American accent which was unusual since Mason had an English accent. He leaned over the bannister and shouted up at Mason. "Turn that racket down!"

"You have a nice home Mr Callahander." I nodded to him, well I've already seen his house and even Mason's bedroom.

"Oh please, call me Alex." He sent a small smile my way. "The dining room is just through here." He leaded us through and just like everything else, the dining room was posh and swanky.

"Where's your wife Alex? Got her in the kitchen." My dad chuckled and my mom hit him.

"Actually no. My wife died 13 years ago." Alex spoke with sadness in his voice and that definitely got him to shut up.

The click clak of footsteps coming down the stairs would only suggest one thing. Mason.

She was dressed in her usual punk rock outfit, combat boots, tartan pants with a panic at the disco shirt.

"Mason! I thought I told you to wear something nice for our guests." Alex looked at her but Mason only rolled her eyes.

"Does it look like I care about them? it's some stupid business meeting, you've never wanted me there before, why now?" Mason went over and grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl. "And she is not welcome here. Maybe in your eyes but not mine." And by she, Mason was of course referring to me.

Alex was infuriated with her actions and made sure she stayed upstairs for the rest of the evening. "Sorry about that, Mason is always like that nowadays."

"I'll be back in one second." I nodded to my mom and dad, as I headed up the stairs after Mason, who was sitting in a chair playing a bass guitar.

"What the hell was that about!?" I snapped at Mason, who just rolled her eyes.

"Go away." He spat at me as she strummed down on her guitar.

"No, you've been acting like a douchebag too me and my friends, even to paige. What the hell is your problem!" I yelled, i finally had enough of Mason, she's just so..UGH!

Alexander Callahander.

After Emily had left to go after my daughter, i turned my eyes to Richard and Claire. Of course i knew who they were. Me and Richard were friends way way way back and we both fell in love with Claire and she had to make a choice and she well..Chose Richard as you can imagine.

"Hello Alex." Richard spoke with hatred.

"Hello Richard." I glared at him. "Claire."

"Alex." Claire nodded at me. Well things just got slightly awkard for us.

"After all these years, huh Alex? You're what, some big shot now? But i actually got the prize you wanted." Richard reffered to Claire as he put his arm around her.

"What are, we five?" I rolled my eyes. "That was when we were 15 Richard, i moved on. I found a new woman, i have a daughter now."

"Like father, like daughter then." Richard smirked at me which only pissed me off.

"Don't you dare speak about Mason like that, yes she may be troubled but she lost her mother." I stood up and pointed my finger at them. "Now this transaction may go on, but we don't know each other, this is for our kids sake."

Both of them of course agreed with me and that's where we settled the deal.

Well that is another chapter wrapped up with. Now we have the background on Emily and Mason's parents, when can start to move on with Lucas and Talia next (Lalia) and develop the love triangle further, as we know Mason does have feelings for Emily and so does Paige, Will Mason change her ways to get with Emily? or will Emily listen to the group and not fall into the trap of a Callahander?
