I stood there staring at her as I tried to process what she'd said. My eyes were beginning to burn as I was incapable of blinking.

"I'm sorry Rose I didn't know you'd react like this... I just thought I should tell you, it's rather important." She sighed as she looked at me whilst I tried to remain calm. Quickly she pulled me into a long and meaningful hug as we stood there in the snow which was slowly dampening our coats.

"Come on we better start walking back to Hogwarts before it gets too dark." She put her arm around me and we continued on the path back to Hogwarts. We walked in silence for a few minutes but I could tell that Hermione wanted to ask me something.

"What is it, Hermione?" I asked as I looked at her to see her with her brows furrowed, she looked up at me.

"I might be reading into it too much but is everything okay with you and Harry?" She asked curiously and instantly she could tell she'd hit a delicate topic as my breath hitched in my throat slightly.

"It's just when we're in the great hall and in lessons he just stares at you constantly, without a flicker of anything on his face and whenever you guys see each other in the corridor everything just seems really tense..." She said as she looked at me for answers.

"Well, I guess everything has sort of been different between us since the ball... We haven't quite gotten along well since then." I lied hoping she would take it as the truth. God knows what her reaction would be like if she knew he'd figured out what I was. She nodded in response as I slowly breathed out through my nose in relief. She'd taken it. Well, seemed to at least.

Soon we were walking up the steps and into Hogwarts, it's warmth and light greeted us as we walked through the doors and into the great hall for dinner.

"I'll talk to you soon and I'll let you know if I discover anything else." Hermione chirped as she hugged me before we both went to our separate tables. Draco's eyes were immediately on me as I walked towards him, placing a kiss on his cheek before I went around the other side and sat opposite him. Veronica gave me a nudge on the arm as she winked at me, causing me to roll my eyes in response at her childish-antics.

"So what was it Granger wanted?" Draco asked curiously as I loaded my plate up with food.

"Oh it was about our charms assignment, she wasn't sure what to do for it and it's due tomorrow." He slowly nodded in response before returning to eating his food. I looked up from my plate to see Hermione, Ron and Harry in deep conversation and slowly Veronica's voice became distant as I began to focus on their conversation.

"Are Rose and Draco dating, she kissed him on the cheek after you left her?" Ron asked curiously while stuffing his face with food eyeing up the Slytherin table.

"Oh um I don't think they are but I think he's asked her... But I may have interrupted." Immediately Hermione clasped her hand to her mouth and her eyes flickered up to mine and quickly she mouthed 'I'm so sorry' as I glanced over to Harry whose eyes were full of rage. Quickly I stood up from the table and made for the door, my feet were now pounding down endless corridors, no doubt he thought I was plotting against him.

"FLIPENDO!" Before I knew it I was crashing towards the ground, my whole body ached as I smashed into the stone floor. Slowly I rolled over to see Harry looking down at me, his breathing frustrated.

"YOU CAN'T DATE HIM!" He yelled at me while I stood up slowly.

"WHO ARE YOU TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO?" I shouted back at him equally as hard.

"HE'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU! HE'S JUST MANIPULATING YOU!" Tears were forming in my eyes as I stared at him.

"WHAT AND YOU'RE SO MUCH BETTER SUITED BECAUSE YOU'RE SUPPOSEDLY THE CHOSEN ONE? BECAUSE YOU'RE SUPPOSEDLY ON THE GOOD SIDE?" My hands were now balled into fists as I tried to contain my rage. Suddenly he pulled out his wand and held it under my neck, pushing me into the wall behind.

"Go on... Do it." I said calmly as he pressed his wand into my neck even harder. Tears were now threatening in his eyes, "Then we'll all be fucked."

"If you leave things with Malfoy now, your secret is safe, and you'll do what I say. But if you continue things, your big secret might get out and potentially mess up your life... And maybe... Even end it." He spat back at me, his voice seemingly taking on another persons tone while tears began to stream down my cheeks as he slowly removed his wand from my neck. He brought his hands up and wiped the tears off my checks tantalisingly slow causing me to flinch at his touch.

"You know, it's horrible watching someone as beautiful as you nearly jeopardise their future." His tone made me feel sick as he gradually pulled his hands away and increased the space between us.

"You have a day to decide!" He shouted as he walked down the corridor and disappeared into the darkness.

Slowly I slid down the wall, tears were now falling uncontrollably from my eyes as I let out sobs.

I had no choice but to do as he said...
