"So that's what happened..." The Doctor had listened to Provence's report  "Yeah, that's how we met Ceylon in the forest at the base of the volcano." Provence closed finished her report "I have a question. Did you really have to give an entire dissertation on how you saved me?" Ceylon asked as the Doctor deadpanned "I'm with the lassie here. Plus, did I hear you say something about how you found me annoying?" Skyfire questioned Provence as she gave her an angry look "Ah, um, you must have heard me wrong!" Provence denied Skyfire's accusation "Regardless, what's important is that everyone is safe." The Doctor sighed a breath of relief that will soon overturn to panic "Umm, well, even though it's rather late for this, allow me to introduce myself. Umm, well, even though it's rather late for this, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ceylon Doykos, and I'm a graduate of Victoria National University as well an Originium researcher. I'm also the daughter of this city's mayor." Ceylon introduced herself which also came with the Doctor panicking "The mayor's daughter?!" The Doctor repeated as many thoughts ran in her head 

"Who would've expected the mayor's daughter to be wandering around alone on the volcano?" Skyfire wasn't even shocked at the revelation "Well, academic curiosity necessarily comes with its share of dangers..." Ceylon said pure heartedly "Let's continue talking about that volcano..." Provence changed topics while also letting the info sink in "A-ahem. Thank you very much, strangers." Ceylon thanked her saviors "Don't mention it. But, what brings you here alone? Isn't this a bit too far for a long walk on the beach? Hmm, judging by the tools you have on you..." Ceylon gave an obvious hint on why she's here

"Provence, she's here to investigate, just like us." Skyfire broke the info down into simple words for Provence to understand "Huh, is that so?" Provence was now thinking "She has a notebook with her, but she's also dressed to the nines. Assuming she's not just a simpleton, then that means... She had a flash of inspiration and rushed out of the house without even bothering to change, and then ran into trouble while still dressed like this. I can't begin to tell you how many dresses I've gotten burnt this way." Skyfire came to a conclusion but slowly the memories of her burning her dresses got mixed in "Uhh, don't you think that's just a little abnormal?" Provence asked Ceylon "Well, setting aside the thing with the dresses, you've pretty much got the gist of it." Ceylon approved of Skyfire's conclusion "I do have to say, it's rather dangerous to do that... especially if you're not prepared." Provence scolded Ceylon "Don't worry. As long as I'm here, you could even come empty-handed and still be fine." Skyfire boasted about her very explosive talent

"Anyways, thanks for saving me. Come find me after I get back to town, and I'll be sure to repay you. However, I have something important to do right now, so pardon me for my rudeness." Ceylon was about to continue her way towards the volcano "Oh, if you're still busy, then sorry for interrupting. However, it's best not to go to the volcano alone. You should know how dangerous it is by yourself since you got attacked by these Originium slugs." Provence warned "Well, that was just an accident. I was in a a hurry, so I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings. I grew up in this city. If the Originium slugs really are that dangerous, the mayor would've done something about it." Ceylon was mentally putting in a note for herself to ask her father to deal with the slugs "...Hmm, all right. However, if you ask me, I'd say they gathered here for a reason." Provence concluded due to the amount of slugs that were nearby seemed strange "Nothing's different about this place, so why would... Wait, agitation due to changes in the environment.... So that's what's going on! Thank you, I have another line of evidence!" Ceylon saod happily "...Provence, by the looks of things, she reached the same conclusion as you. Even though I'm not an expert on volcanoes, I do have a degree of understanding as a professional and comprehensive scholar." Skyfire understood for what Ceylon was aiming for "Could you two also be here to look for proof? Proof that the volcano is going to erupt?" Ceylon asked the two operators

"The volcano's going to erupt?!" The Doctor who was still listening in was even more panicked at the thought of the volcano going off "An unusual and irritating odor, a higher temperature than normal, and aggressive Originium slugs... Also, based on the presence of these infected creatures, this may be no ordinary volcano. The mining companies would go crazy if they found out that there might be Originium in this volcano." Provence was slowly putting the pieces together "Not many people know about the actual conditions of the volcano, and information about it is controlled by the City Council's relevant departments. Agitation due to environmental changes... At least that gives me something to work with. I've been looking for experts in this field to help ensure the safety of the city and its residents. Please help me, and the city of Siesta, make it through these dangerous times." Ceylon begged as the two operators looked at each other and nodded noting the seriousness of the situation

At Rhodes Island geographical observation lab

"Finally, through comparing isotopes and analyzing various samples, we've basically been able to confirm your hypothesis. The frequency of volcanic activity has, without a doubt, been rising abnormally. Though there's no imminent danger of a Catastrophe, we cannot ignore the     danger.  In two to four weeks, the volcanic activity will reach a critical point. Expect a Catastrophe to occur at that point. If possible, I would recommend beginning evacuation efforts as soon as possible. To summarize, that's the conclusion I've drawn from the information you provided me." All this info spoken by the expert of all volcano's "That's Eyjafjalla for you. She can even give a 40-minute lecture over the phone. Doctor, did you understand all that?" Provence asked "Well you know how the saying goes In one ear and out the other " The Doctor answered Provence's question "That's what I thought as well. Before I could react, it was already over." Provence was a bit embarrassed but that's what you get if you get a prestige expert on volcano's "As expected of Eyjafjalla. Even I felt like I was just put through a seminar." Skyfire compared "I see, so that's a true professional. I never knew the data could be analyzed like that. I didn't expect to be presented with such a good learning experience. Jeez, I should have written it all down!" Ceylon was caught off guard with the large amount of info thrown at her 

"Even though the information we have right now is far from comprehensive, I've reached the same conclusion as you have. The volcano has most likely become active once more. Unfortunately, I can't be there to further delve into why it has become active...Sorry. If we had a bit more on-site information, we'd be able to better predict the activity cycle. That way, we'd be able to evacuate the citizens more easily." Eyjafjalla said "We all know that you're passionate about volcanoes, Eyjafjalla. You've already been a great help. Thank you very much." Provence thanked the Volcano expert

"I'm glad I had such a professional team like yours to help me confirm my findings. Something might be wrong with the detector in the monitoring station. It hasn't detected any abnormal readings so far. By the looks of things, my efforts were worth it. We've got to send news of this to the City Council. Otherwise, the results could be devastating." Ceylon said in urgency "You're telling me that Siesta didn't even make any emergency plans for a possible Catastrophe before hosting such a large-scale event?" Skyfire questioned the safety efforts 

"The people here probably haven't even considered the possibility of a Catastrophe, let alone made preparations for it. My father went to the new development zone to conduct business about three months ago, and won't be back for a few more days. Now, his secretary, Cronin, is responsible for everything. Cronin is also this city's Catastrophe Messenger. When we take the data and the samples down to the City Hall, he'll be able to understand the situation. Even though I'm the mayor's daughter, I rarely get involved in the government's affairs. But now that we have definitive proof, I might be able to get some help from the family." Ceylon felt that things were finally going her way 

"Doctor, I have an idea. I want to head to the volcano again to check on that reason that Eyjafjalla mentioned. Can you help Ceylon out while I'm gone?" Provence asked "You're entering the volcano? Isn't that a bit too dangerous?!" The Doctor asked worriedly "Catastrophe Messengers always put their lives on the line for their work, so don't worry. I have plenty of experience with this kind of stuff. Although I'll only be able to call you from the hotel, I'll be sure to stay connected with the Doctor." Provence said while preparing the equipment "I'll also come with you." Skyfire said which threw off provences train of thought "Huh?" Provence responded "Got a problem with that? I can't just let you go alone. What if you ruin all the precious data? Of course I have to go with you." Skyfire declared "Um, all right, all right. By the way, do we need to notify Amiya or Yu first?" Provence asked "Nah, it's fine. It's not that serious. As long as the Doctor knows about it, we're good." Skyfire brushed off Provence's worries as they began their  walk towards the volcano

"So if that's all settled, let's get going, Doctor. Please prepare everything you need, and we'll head for the City Hall at 2 P.M." Ceylon settled on the plan "No problem." The Doctor was fine with the plan as long as she doesn't drag Yu or Amiya back into work cause hell hath no fury compared to a very angry Aegirian and a Bunny... mainly the Aegirian "Phew, that about wraps things up. I suppose I can finally relax a bit. Doctor, here's some tea I brought back from Victoria. Would you like a cup?" Ceylon asked the Doctor as The Doctors mind drifted to back on the Land Ship where Yu hand delivered tea for the doctor

"Here doctor you've been working hard so I thought I should indulge you just this once" Yu said with a closed eye smile that seemed naturally pure "Thanks, Yu" She said as Yu left with a small pile of papers in his hands before taking a sip of tea but spat it out as her mouth felt like it was lit on fire 

Present day

"No thank you." The Doctor refused "Do you not know how to make tea? I'll help you then." Ceylon offered "...No thank you." The Doctor refused again "You're a really difficult person, you know. I'll have you know that this is one of the highest-grade teas in Victoria!" Ceylon pouted before boasting about the tea "......No thank you." The Doctor was persistent with her answer 

"I make really good tea. You'll regret it your whole life if you miss this chance." Ceylon pushed ".........Fine." The Doctor cracked finally giving in "How stubborn. I had to say all that just to make you try it. All right, just wait a moment."
