3rd Person

The figure of a girl could be seen leaning on the fence, which was the only thing separating her from falling off the edge. She didn't care right now if it was the middle of the night, she didn't care if there were any people nearby, she didn't even care if she seemed crazy right now for being out at this time.

But the girl just needed to think, she needed some time alone, to sort out her thoughts yet even then it felt like it was an impossible task. The girl was tired both physically and mentally from everything, problems at home with her family, school and the endless activities and events, with her friends, just everything felt draining to her and at that moment it felt like it wasn't worth living. How much longer did she need to suffer? How much longer did she need to deal with all of this? How much longer did she have to feel all these things? No matter what she did to try and make things better, nothing seemed to work and it felt like it was only getting worst the more she tried.

She sighs a small smile plastered on her face as she stared up at the sky "I wonder if anyone would even care if I disappeared right now" she mumbles and stares down at the ravine before her, it was really deep, a wrong move and she could lose her life right at that moment but that honestly didn't really seem like a bad choice right now.

The girl contemplated for a bit, deciding on whether to do it or not. A million thoughts had started entering her mind at that moment due to that and an inner battle within her had begun. Many things like what she would miss out on if she did do it entered, she was hesitating all because of the people she loved, she didn't want them to get hurt for even thinking of this, she would never want to hurt them if they ever even find out she's dead but ultimately she decided to end this. She's had enough, she's had enough suffering, enough problems, enough of everything she needed to end this she didn't want to continue living like this anymore.

The girl immediately climbs over the fence once she's sure of her decision she looks around to see if anyone is nearby but all she sees is darkness, who would be out here at this time anyways? She gulps down the nervousness she was feeling before taking in a deep breath to calm down her raging heart, she was scared who wouldn't be when you're this high willing to jump off without even knowing where you'll end up? But she was determined to end all of her problems and so with one push, she falls off the fence and into the edge.

She was expecting a sudden rush of adrenaline, to feel the wind as she fell to her death but no, she felt something else, she felt like she was hanging amidst the darkness of the night, like something was holding onto her to keep her from going down any farther and so the girl looks up finding a hand on her arm. The hand had a tight grip on her and she felt the determination of this person to try and save her just through that "Don't let go! Please whatever happened that made you do this I'm here to listen! Please don't do this" the person gripping onto her says, the person was panting hard doing their very best to keep their grip on the girl while holding onto the fence to keep them both from falling farther.

"Why should I listen to you? You're probably just lying to me, like everyone else"

"Why would I even lie in this kind of situation?" the person said, they did have a point on that but the girl still wasn't entirely convinced.

She glares at the person causing them to loosen their grip on the railing from the sudden hostility but they're quick to react at the realization they could both fall "Just let me go, will you? Trying to save someone like me isn't worth it."

"No you're not dying on my watch miss, now please" the stranger pleads, their slowly running out of strength but it seem that they really won't let go until the girl is safe.

And so she clicks her tongue deciding to follow what this person wants and pulls herself up, with the help of the stranger they both make it to the safety of the ground safe and sound "I did not expect to do such heavy physical labor in the middle of the night" they say, the person was already collapsed onto the ground trying to catch their breath after such a tiring event.

"Well I told you to let go didn't I?"

"How heartless can you be woman? Do you really think I would let another person fall to their death right in front of me?!"

"Well no- but-"

"Exactly so no arguments"

"Fine, thanks I guess for saving me Ms?"

"Kim Chaewon, you?"

"Miyawaki Sakura"

"Nice to meet you now can you explain why on earth would you result to doing such a thing?!" Chaewon asks, pertaining to what she was doing earlier if it weren't for her stopping Sakura on time.

"Just a lot of things going on I guess, I couldn't handle it" Sakura says looking away from the girl as she didn't want a total stranger seeing her like this.

Chaewon sees this and pouts "Hey you can tell me anything, I wouldn't have just saved your life if I wasn't willing to listen to you."

The Japanese hesitates at this she wasn't sure she could fully trust the girl but it would be nice to finally let her problems out. Though she can't she got so used to trying to put up a strong front with others that she can't, she can't tell Chaewon it was like something was forcing her to not tell.

And Chaewon pouts even more at this but if the girl can't tell her now she's sure she will sooner or later "Come on, let's go to my place."

"Why?"

"It's the middle of the night, we both should get some rest especially after what happened plus if you're not gonna tell me now I won't force it but I hope you'll tell me sooner or later"

"Sorry I just can't right now" Sakura apologizes feeling a little guilty since Chaewon was willing to listen to whatever problem she had as long as it didn't result to taking her own life like what was about to go down.

Chaewon just takes the girls hand and starts walking not wanting to stay there any longer since it was freezing "You don't need to apologize for anything" she said sincerely not wanting the girl to think that she should feel sorry for not telling because it was really ok. Chaewon didn't mind one bit if it meant she had to be patient and earn her trust just so she could tell her, she was ok with it.

The two continued to walk in silence to Chaewon's place and surprisingly it wasn't awkward, it was more comforting as Sakura would say. The two walked for a bit not even minding the fact that were holding hands all throughout the walk and it was honestly a bit shocking for the Japanese since she expected it to be uncomfortable but she wasn't. She didn't even try to pull her hand away when Chaewon started to unconsciously play with her hand, it just felt peaceful.

Once the two arrived the Korean, begrudgingly let go of her hand so she could open the gate and enter her own house. Sakura on the other hand, was too caught up in her own thoughts to admit it but she already missed the warmth of the girls hand. "Welcome to my humble abode" Chaewon said playfully as she tossed her keys inside the basket that was placed behind the door.

Sakura looked around, the place was neat and tidy, the interior was simple but still looked very appealing to her. "I'll go prepare a towel and some clothes for you if you want to change" Chaewon informed but before she could leave Sakura already took a hold of her hand.

"Thank you Chaewon for saving me..."

The girl just gives her a comforting smile "Forgot about that for now, I'm here for you, you're not alone anymore."
