3rd Person

Rumors, at first those simple little talks about a certain person could be harmless, they could just be one of those everyday things that you're used to and don't mind one bit but knowing people nowadays and what they could do? A simple rumor can do so much as ruin a person's life.

"Garam-ah I think you need to see this" Sakura says, phone in a hand with a certain article shown on the screen.

The said girl stops whatever she was doing and looks at the device, carefully reading the contents of the article silently, her eyes were focused on the screen and her eyebrows were slightly furrowed, giving off the fact she was concentrating, trying to understand whatever the article was trying to point out. The rest of the group who were hanging out in one dorm just because they were bored gathered around curious as to what their oldest member was talking about.

"What on earth? I never did those things back then and might I add some of these rumors are so stupid how could they accuse me of hating on other groups that didn't even exist yet back then and bullying? Wow, how far did these people go" the girl scoffs, giving the phone back to Sakura as she took out her own to search for what else she was being accused of.

Chaewon quickly turns it off and takes it away before she could even try and search it up, stopping the girl from doing anything impulsive "I'm sure the company will handle this but if it gets any worse they're gonna have to call you so they can confirm if the rumors are false and make an official statement."

"I'm sure that it won't get worse and it'll die down though, don't worry unnie you've got us" Eunchae, their youngest says, hugging the girl tightly to reassure the girl.

Garam hugs back and pats her head, the anger that started to rise from the rumors immediately dissipating thanks to the younger girl "You guys don't believe the stuff they're saying right?" she asks the rest of the girls, worried about their opinion of her changing thanks to those articles that were being released.

"Hell no! I don't even care about those rumors anyways they know nothing about you so why should I believe them? Plus they're just trying to grab attention you know, you know" Yunjin said, plopping herself onto the couch before wrapping an arm around Garam's neck, bringing her down and ruffling her hair.

The rest of the girls laugh at this, it was Huh Yunjin after all "Unnie!" Garam complains trying to get out of the girl's grip. The older girl immediately lets her go at this, fixing her messed-up hair to make up for what she did to the poor girl.

"Seriously though we've got your back don't worry about those kinds of things" Kazuha reassures.

And for a moment Garam believes the things they say and she believes that everything will be ok. In the end, those rumors would die down, in the end, everything would go back to normal and those accusations would be forgotten once they made their debut. She believed that it would all be ok maybe not now but someday.

~Later that day~

Garam was on a call with one of her friends discussing what to do later before another person enter the call "YO GUYS I JUST GOT HOME DID YOU SEE THOSE ARTICLES ABOUT GARAM?! Oh Hi Garam-" they said, making the said girl slightly move her phone away, not ready to become deaf yet just because of one of her friend's loud voices.

"Yes I did, I don't know who they are and what they intend to do with such stupid accusations but I'm just gonna lie low and focus on my debut for now"

"I mean that's a great idea but Garam...what if it could be them?" her other friend on the other line says making the girl freeze, she didn't think of that possibility.

"I...didn't think of that" she says honestly.

She hears a groan from the other end as well as ruffling noises and some mumbling, from what she could make out it seemed to be cursing "Do you think it could be them though?" Garam asks the two but she only hears an exasperated sigh.

"There is a possibility, it could even be one of those people we don't know in that gc remember? Who else would it be besides them anyway?"

A/n: Take note I don't know the actual name of the friend so I just searched a random name online but yes this is supposedly the friend who helped Garam with her case here :D

"Y/n, Chunghee if it is them then they could ruin my career"

"Hey woah calm down, why don't you tell your company so they could release an official statement about this or something?" the girl named Chunghee says.

"Chaewon unnie said earlier that the company was already scheduling a meeting with me about this, you two could come and help confirm that those are false"

"I'll be there as soon as I can" Y/n says and the girl hears another round of ruffling.

"Yah hear you picking out clothes there, just wear something comfortable it's not like we're going to some fancy event anyway" Chunghee said, chuckling softly at her friend's behavior.

The latter groans and Garam could imagine Y/n rolling their eyes at the comment "Fine I'll just wear my hoodie and Garam be careful ok? We don't know how far they could go and what they could do."

"Will do"

~A few months later~

Garam was alone at the dorm once again with none of the members around since they still had promotions. She sighs to herself and tries to come up with something she could do until her phone rang loudly "Hello?" she responded not even bothering to check the caller id.

"Hey uh...do you want me to come over?" Y/n says worry evident in their tone confusing Garam a bit.

"Why are you coming over? Is there an occasion?"

"I think you should check what the company said..." they say before quickly hanging up.

Garam immediately goes online and she sees another article with the company's statement "They're...kicking me out?"

Before she even realizes it, she is already going through social media, seeing the amount of comments that say she deserved it, she didn't deserve to debut in LE SSERAFIM in the first place, that they should've done this before the group debuted. She felt heartbroken from the things she saw.

She wanted to scream out her frustrations, shout out to the world that it isn't true but what could she do? Her career was already destroyed and she could do nothing about it. She sat there in her room, crying silently because they didn't even inform her that she was kicked from the group when they only just started, hell she couldn't even participate in most of their promotions because the company made her go on hiatus.

"This is so unfair" she thought and it was actually true, she and her friends went to the company they gave them evidence that everything was false and that everything they were accusing her of wasn't true but despite that, they had to kick her was it for the group's image? Or was this their intention from the start? She didn't know, the only thing she knew at the moment was that she was devasted. This was her dream and it was ruined in the blink of an eye all because of a stupid rumor.

A doorbell was heard later on as well as some knocking and a bit of shouting "Garam it's me, open the door please?" she heard but she was too preoccupied with her thoughts to move.

Sighing Y/n decided to grab a couple of pins and try to pick the lock, if the girl wasn't gonna open the door they'll let themselves in instead. It took a few minutes but luckily Y/n got the job done "I guess all those times sneaking into Garam's house when she wasn't allowed outside helped" Y/n thinks as they walk into the dorm.

It's very messy but they didn't mind, Y/n's top priority at the moment wasn't the mess but to be there for Garam "I hope you're members don't mind that I let myself in!" Y/n shouts again and walks around the dorm, trying to find Garam's room amidst the mess.

When Y/n finds her room they don't bother knocking and just open the door, only to be greeted by Garam on the ground, her phone next to her as she was crying silently hugging her knees as she tried to hide her face. Y/n's heart clenches at the sight of the girl, she looked so vulnerable at that moment, how could her company do such a thing?

"Hey" Y/n greets, kneeling down next to Garam before pulling her into the tightest hug, although Y/n knew this couldn't do much they knew the girl needed it a lot.

The girl finally sobs out, hugging her friend back even tighter "Why did it have to be me?"

"Hey, hey don't think like that your company is just dumb for making such a decision like that, it's not your fault"

"Everything was ok until I was revealed, is there something wrong with me that they had to even ruin my career? What's worse is that they kick me out only after promoting with them for a few weeks, how could they?"

Y/n shushes the girl, drawing her closer so she could let it all out they knew how much Garam wanted this yet why was she being treated like this? She only started out her career, she only wanted to fulfill her dream, why was all this happening to a girl like Garam?

Y/n can't answer their own questions though, so they just choose to let it be for now and be there to help their friend with all they've got "I don't know why did this but one things for sure, you don't deserve this no one does, you deserve the world and you deserve all the love and support, not this."

"It's so unfair" Garam says repeatedly, even more tears dripping down her face.

"It is but I'll be here for you ok? Me and Chunghee are here with you, we'll help you prove that you're innocent, not you're stupid company"

Garam cried for hours, saying things like how unfair it was that her own company went against her when they were supposed to be helping her prove her innocence, while Y/n stayed there listening to everything and anything she had to say.

"It's not your fault Garam, it never was, everyone is just being unfair I hope you know that"
