:::The Confrontation:::

:::Ava Bellemoore:::
"What was that about?" I heard someone ask. I turned to see Stiles. Of course, that nosy little human.
Still, I sighed. "Pack problems."
"Ah, always delightful." He said sarcastically, shaking his head as he crossed his arms over his chest.
I sighed heavily, "How did you end up in the pack?"
"Scott and I are best friends for one. So,
When he got bit-"
"Wait, when did he get bitten?" I asked curiously.
"Like two years ago?"
Wow. An alpha already?
"He became an alpha pretty fast." I said in shock.
Stiles smirked, "He's a True Alpha."
My smile grew, "I like this pack more and more."
He just laughed awkwardly.
"So, besides being Scott's best friend, how else did you earn everyone's trust?"
He seemed shocked for a moment, "i don't know. I guess it's because I help research, I still go out when they fight even though wooden bats aren't much, and oh! I have a jeep." He smirked.
It seemed familiar. Where did I hear that from?
Wait a minute.
"Do you tend to wear a red hoodie?"
He looked at me oddly. "Yeah, I guess. Why?"
I smirked, "Oh, so you're the human that runs with wolves. Little red." I laughed a little, "You're pretty big in the supernatural community back in Texas. Humans rarely survive in packs in my old town."
Stiles nervously bit his lip, "Little red? Seriously? I'm not-"
"Stillinski! Bellemoore! You're up."
"Ah, wonderful. I was hoping to hide in the crowd."
Stiles just smirked. "Same."
We began to walk up to the wall. The coach's helpers strapped us in our ugly gear.
"Alright, Stillinski. I gotta warn you, I'm a tad competitive."
"Why do I feel like the 'tad' part is an under-exaggeration?"
I smirked. "Probably because it is."
Stiles just gave an evil grin, "you're on, Bellemoore."
I smiled mischievously as Coach blew the whistle, signaling for us to start.
I gripped the plastic rocks and raced towards the top.

Later...

We were heading back to our locker rooms when Alice stopped me.
"Why is it that I overheard you talking about supernatural-related things to a human."
I shrugged, "probably because he's in a pack of his own."
Her eyes widened. I could tell she wanted to say "seriously? How is he even still alive?" But I knew she wouldn't want to gossip. She was still mad.
She huffed, "It's our first day and you already are talking to another pack."
I shrugged, "I'm getting acquainted with the supernatural community of Beacon Hills. What's the problem, Al?"
She rolled her eyes, "It's been less then a week sense our pack was murdered and you're already replacing them. Replacing us."
I held back a groan, "I'm not replacing  anyone, Alice. And I am still grieving over everyone too. I'm not going to become a part of their pack, but it's better to be friendly than for them to feel threatened by our presence, don't ya think?"
She just crossed her arms over her chest and gave me a wolf-like growl.
"Why is it that you seem to be so okay with leaving everything behind?"
So that's why Kit and Alice seem so pissed off. They think I'm fine with this?
I sighed heavily, "Because I know what's best for us. I'd rather start over and be alive then stay in that town, get murdered, and have everyone else I care about die with me."
"This wouldn't have happened if-"
I held up a hand, "don't even go there, Alice." I warned, "I realize my mistake. Don't guilt-trip me. You think I'm not trying to make it better? We're here because I don't want to die, and I certainly don't want you to die."
I turned around, heading back to the locker room. Alice followed.
"I had a full-ride."
"I know."
"I have a family-"
"I know, Al."
"I had a freakin' life!"
I turned around quickly, "I'm trying here! What do you want me to do?"
She gulped, tears threatening her vision.
"I want you to fix this, Ava. I want my family. I want to go to college and become a director. I want to have a life again. I want...I want..." A single tear escaped, but all I could sense was intense anger.
"I want out."
My heart sank.
"Out?"
"Out."
I gulped. There goes one.
"Alright."
"What?" She spoke through tears.
I gulped again. "I told you I'll fix this. OK? Pack your bags when we get home. You'll leave sometime this week."
She seemed shock, her mouth hanging open and tears still spilling. People were starting to come out of the locker room. I could see Kit already dressed, watching.
I took a deep breath, "this time, I won't break my promise. You're going home. And so are you, Kit." I said, still looking at Alice knowing Kit was listening.
At that I turned around and went to the now empty locker room.
I starred at my reflection. My eyes filled with tears. My eyes began to glow red, but suddenly start to fade into a yellow.
I couldn't hold it in anymore.
