So I've had a really bad few weeks...So I'm no longer going on break as I need a distraction to take my mind off of things and this story is my best bet. 

Six months had passed since the night Y/n was shot and the Mystery Gang split up. A worried citizen ran past the Crystal Cove sign. "Run for your lives! He's back!" He cries out. Behind him is a large clown in a diaper driving what appears to be a pram themed wagon. The clown sobs and laughs as he shakes up a bottle in his hand. As he does it begins to glow. The clown throws the bottle into the street as it lands pedestrians nearby to it flee before it explodes into pink smoke.    

The citizens of Crystal Cove scream as they jump out of the way of the speeding wagon. Behind it is Sheriff Stone who is giving pursuit in his patrol car. The clown laughs as it tosses a bottle behind it. The bottle rolls along the road and detonates as soon as it rolls underneath Sheriff Stone's car causing it to flip and skid to a stop now unable to move. 

The clown stops it's wagon beside Sheriff Stone's car for a moment. The Sheriff looks up and gulps a moment as he looks up at the baby clown.

"Man baby not real. Man baby not real." Sheriff Stone says to himself scared.

The clown stands up in it's wagon sobbing. "You don't like Crybaby Clown? That hurts my feelings. Maybe you're just hungry." It say to Sheriff Stone as it now takes a bottle off a belt it wears like a sash. He shakes up the bottle and it begins to glow. "Drink up." He says sinisterly before he throws it down into Sheriff Stone's lap. Crybaby Clown drives off laughing now as Sheriff Stone looks down at the bottle in his lap worried. He's quick to react however as he quickly jumps out of his car and as he does the bottle explodes rendering his car completely useless. Crybaby Clown continues to laugh and sob as he drives down the streets passing by City Hall now.

Stood in the Mayor's office watching was the town's new Mayor, A placard sat on her desk with her name printed on it. Janet Nettles. She was stood by the window watching the devastation of the latest Crybaby Clown attack as the culprit in question rode by laughing. 

"What have I gotten myself into?" She asks herself. 

"If you ask me, I'd say it's a mystery." A masked figure with a distorted voice says as they appear from the shadows beside the mayor startling her.           

"Who...Who are you?" Jane asks as she backs away from them.

"They call themselves Mystery Incorporated." The figure says as they throw a file on the desk. Spilling out of is photos of all the Mystery Incorporated members including Y/n. "The dogs locked up on a farm upstate. The bandaged one will be more difficult to acquire. He's locked behind bars." The figure says as Janet picks up the photos of Y/n and Scooby. "You're on you're own with the rest. My suggestion? Start tonight. You want this mystery solved, bring them home." The figure opens the window beside them now. "Or your run as the new mayor of Crystal Cove is going to be short lived." They finish with as they jump through the window now and the mayor watches them leave. 

Scooby was sat against a wall bouncing a baseball against the other side as he looked bored. It was revealed that he was sitting in a cell. As Scooby caught the ball in his mouth the door opens and Scooby looks up before he is escorted out and to a barn.

"Hope you had a nice time in the hole, dog." A man says as he shuts the barn door.

"Hmph. Trying to tell me what to do..."  Scooby begins to grumble as he walks in the barn and stops in front of cow that just stares at him while it eats. "Look, I had to try escape okay?" Scooby says to the cow as he settles down on his bed of hay, He takes a small photo that is shown to be of Scooby and the Mystery gang. "I made a promise to my friends." He sighs then turns to look at the cow again. "What would you do?" But the cow says nothing as it just continues to eat. "Fine, stay here and let them milk you." Scooby huffs as he gets up now. He walks to a loose panel on the barn wall and he moves it before squeezing through it. As Scooby reaches outside the barn the farm he is on begins to resemble a prison more than it did a farm. Guard towers sit at each corner of a large electrified wire fence that surrounds the farm. Scooby has to duck as a spotlight shines above him. As it moves Scooby lets out a sigh of relief. He picks up a stick next to him and proceeds to sneak towards the fence. As he reaches it he then uses the stick to prop up the fence enough for him to sneak under, As he is just about through the stick snaps with the weight of the fence and it falls on Scooby's tail electrocuting him. The sounds of both the electricity being set off and Scooby's cries are enough to set off the farms security. Scooby hurries to free his tail now as he can hear the farmer kick open the door to his home and step out with a shotgun in hand. 

"Tarnation that's it! Come back here! I got a double barrelled surprise for you!" The farmer can be heard shouting as Scooby flees into a nearby corn field and gunshots sound out. As Scooby continues to run he soon finds himself coming out of the corn field and onto a road. Before he can even think he has escaped however he is caught in a pair of headlights and Scooby yelps. The car the headlights belong to stops just front of Scooby now who was lying on the road with his hands on his head whimpering. One of the car doors open now revealing it to be a limo.

"Scooby Doo?"  A woman's voice calls out and Scooby removes his hands sitting up.      

"Uh, Yeah?" Scooby says.

"Get in." The woman says and Scooby wastes no time as he gets in the limo and it begins to speed away.   

Scooby lets out a sigh of relief now before he looks at the woman sat across from him now. 

"Do I know you?" He asks her.

"My name is Janet Nettles. I'm the new mayor of Crystal Cove. The town and I need your help Scooby. We've been attacked by an evil man baby called the Crybaby Clown." She says both introducing herself and why she had helped rescue Scooby.

"Sorry. I can't help. Not until I find my friends." Scooby says. 

 "I think I can help you with that." Janet says as she holds up a file now and tosses it fall beside Scooby and he opens it to see pictures of Shaggy, Velma, Fred and Daphne. "There's everything I could find about their whereabouts." Janet says but looking at the picture of Y/n makes her uncomfortable with the idea of taking him out of prison and she knows she has an important decision to make. 

"Got any Scooby Snacks?" Scooby asks her now taking her out of her thoughts.

"You are nothing but insignificant polyps on the goiter of humanity!" A drill Sergeant calls out to his recruits as they stand at attention. 

"Yes sir, goiter, sir!" They all reply. 

The sergeant looks around now but his face shows anger when he sees a familiar face.

"Private Hippie! Did I not tell you to shave that growth off your face?" He asks Shaggy pointing to his stubble.

"Like dude, Um sir. It's kind of got a mind of it's own. I'm like not even sure what it is." shaggy says meekly.

"Private Hippie, Do you take me for a fool?" The drill sergeant ask him.

"Um sir, Do you really want me to answer that?" Shaggy replies but before he gets a response the bunker they are in begins to rumble and everyone looks around confused. The rumbling gets more frequent as lights begins to sway and the drill sergeant turns to a wall. 

"What the..."

But his sentence is interrupted by a tank crashing through the wall now. The hatch to the tank opens now and out of it appears Scooby doo. 

"Leave my private Hippie...I mean Shaggy alone." Scooby says.

"Scooby Doo! Boy am I glad to see you!" Shaggy says surprised and happy as he rushes to the tanks and starts to climb onto it.

"We're under attack boys!" The drill sergeant cries as he grabs a gun from a nearby rack. "Remember you're training." But as he takes up his position and looks back he can see the other cadets fleeing and he shakes his head in disappointment. "Ugh..Teenagers..." He groans. 

With Shaggy in the tank now Scooby closes the hatch and the two escape the military school. 

"Like how'd you find me?" Shaggy asks Scooby. 

"New mayor." Scooby says. "Crystal Cove is being attacked by an evil man baby clown. They need us." 

A man knocked on a house door and the owner answers the door to see a dishevelled looking Fred. 

"Hello Sir or madam, Could you tell me if Brad Chile or Judy Reeves live here?" Fred asks but the door is slammed in his face. He sighs as he turns around and walks to the next house to repeat the same process. 

As he walks down the street the tank Scooby and Shaggy were riding in rolls down the road but stops when they see Fred. They are quick to open the hatch. 

"Fred!" Both Scooby and Shaggy cry out. Fred stops for a moment as he turns to look at who called his name Scooby and Shaggy rush up to him and hug him.

"Shaggy? Scooby? What are you guys doing here?" He asks them. 

"Like, we're trying to find you." Shaggy says to him.

"Why do you look like a hobo?" Scooby asks.

"Do I? I hadn't noticed..." Fred says a little dazed as he starts to walk away. "Sorry guys, but I'm not coming back until I find my parents." Fred says. 

"But like dude, Crystal Cove is under attack from a crazy man baby." Shaggy says.

"Find somebody else." Fred says. 

"But Fred. He's also an evil clown." Scooby says and Fred stops on the spot. 

"What?" He asks as he turns around. 

Fred, Scooby and Fred where in the Mystery Machine now driving along the cliff sides of Crystal Cove. "Years ago, The drake brothers captured a crazy evil baby clown in what is now referred to in trapping circles as the Omega conundrum. But no one has trapped an evil baby clown that was also...a man." Fred says.

"You'd be the first." Shaggy says.

"Legendary." Scooby adds as the two try to tempt him. 

"Alright, but as soon as he's trapped I'm continuing my search."  Fred says.

"Absolutely." Shaggy says.

The Mystery Machine stops on the town's main road near city hall now as the three get out. 

"Wow, this place looks deserted." Fred says.

"Not quite, look!" Shaggy cries and the three look to see the Crybaby Clown approaching them in it's wagon. Shaggy and Scooby are quick to react as they get back into the Mystery Machine. Fred however watches as the Crybaby Clown shoot past him.  

"Oh boy! Trap-legendaryness here I come!" Fred says to himself. 

The wagon of Crybaby Clown turns around now as it faces both Fred and the Mystery Machine. As it speeds towards them Fred becomes a little nervous. "Uh oh..."

"Fred! Get out of there! Run!" Shaggy cries. 

Fred turns around and starts to run and hides underneath the Mystery Machine to avoid being run over by the Crybaby Clown and his wagon. 

"No fair. "Crybaby Clown wants to play tag. And you're it." Crybaby Clown says as he presses a button in his wagon. A small cannon appears and it fires a bottle that explodes on contact with the ground near Fred who is forced out of his hiding spot. The clown fires again but misses as Fred starts running. He grunts as he starts to chase Fred down in the wagon firing more explosive bottles at him.

"Shaggy we have to help Freddy." Scooby says but he gets no response. He turns around to see Shaggy whimpering. "Military school did you a lot of good." Scooby huffs unimpressed. 

Fred was panting as he continued to run, Crybaby Clown was laughing as he closed in on Fred but he and Fred let out a cry of surprise as Fred is caught in a net that quickly pulls him down an alleyway and round a corner.  The Crybaby Clown's eyes furrow and he looks all around for a sign of Fred before he takes off in search of him on another street.

Fred looks at the net he is caught in now. "Hey, I know this net." He says surprised.

"You should. You built it." The masked figure from the mayor's office earlier says appearing and they cut Fred down now. "Nice fur bib." They say pointing to Fred's beard. 

"Wait, Wry sense of humor tinged with whiff of disdain and superiority... Velma?" Fred says and the figure removes their mask to reveal that he is indeed right. 

"Who were you expecting, Rorschach?" She says but she is cut off when Fred hugs her.

"Oh it's so good to see you Velma." Fred says.

"Jinkies, I think this is the most PDA you've ever shown me." Velma says. But the two gasp as the sound of a vehicle approaches and Velma puts her mask back up. They look around to see that it is the Mystery Machine with Scooby and Shaggy rushing out. 

"Don't worry Fred we'll save you!" Shaggy cries as he and Scooby rush at Velma who cries out and dodges the two and she quickly removes her mask again.

"Velma?" Scooby and Shaggy say surprised but Scooby rushes to hug Velma. Shaggy however stands there unsure of what to say.

"Like, Velma I..." Shaggy starts.

"I know." Velma interrupts him and he looks at her. "At first I was angry, but then I found out you weren't given a choice."

"I wanted to get in contact but they never let us even phone home."  Shaggy says holding his arm feeling guilty now.

"We can talk about it later. We have a clown to catch." Velma says wanting to keep the conversation private. Shaggy nods in agreement.  

The Mystery Machine was sat at the top of the cliffs now overlooking the town and the four can see just how bad Crybaby Clown's attacks were affecting the town.

"It's been chaos since you left." Velma says to Fred, Shaggy and Scooby as they sit atop the Mystery Machine. "Crybaby clown has terrorized the town and he's destroyed tourism. At first I didn't care. I didn't want anything to do with Mystery solving after what happened that night. 

"And because of us, I'm sorry we left Velma. It wasn't personal" Fred says to her.  

"Yes it was." Velma says stopping him. "I admit I messed up by not telling you Angel was an original member of Mystery Incorporated. You all leaving me hurt, In the end though I realised I had to help and that I couldn't do it alone. I'm not Mystery Incorporated, We all are." Velma says. 

"What about Angel and Mr E?" Shaggy asks.

"And Pericles?" Scooby adds.

"No one's seen Mr E since the night Y/n was shot and both he and Fred's da..I mean mayor Jones were arrested." Velma says. 

"Angel was the one who let me know that Y/n was alive, I told Daphne and Dusk but after that I haven't spoke to anyone since. Angel tired to come to my house once but I wouldn't talk to her." Velma says. 

"As for Pericles, I assume he drowned in the caves along with the Planispheric disc pieces." Velma says.

"But like what if he survived and has the other pieces?" Shaggy asks.

"One mystery at a time. Pericles would need to find the four other pieces. That could take months, years." Fred says before he looks back out to the town. "Right now, We need to deal with Crybaby Clown. Which means we still need two more people. Y/n and Daphne." 

"Uh that might be a problem." Velma says and Fred looks at her.

"Y/n is currently in prison and Daphne..."

"Boyfriend? That guy no way? He's too handsome." Fred asks as he looks at Daphne sat at a table in the bloody steak with a handsome looking guy through a pair of binoculars. "And what is he doing with her hands?"

"He's holding them Fred. It's what a boyfriend does with a girlfriend." Velma dryly says.

"Let me use those binoculars a moment Fred." Shaggy says and Fred hands them to him. 

"Like, is it me or does that dude look a lot like that famous actor form all the Dusk movies? What's his name" Shaggy asks.

"Baylor Hotner." Scooby says.

"Yeah, the one with the amazing abs and plays the were-turtle." Shaggy says. 

"It looks like Baylor Hotner, because it is Baylor Hotner." Velma says.

 "He's in Crystal Cove doing research for the latest Dusk movie. Dusk IV still Dusk." Velma explains.

"Yeah? I got something he can research." Fred says as he gets out of the van now and walks across the road.

"So you delivered a baby? From a monkey?" Daphne asks Baylor.

"Sure. I've delivered lots of baby animals. I'm not all about acting and having super amazing abs." Baylor says.

"Wow, Baylor. You've been all over the world and I've never been further than Gatorsburg." Daphne says impressed.

"You know. I'm travelling to Africa next month to shoot a commercial for my pro environmental cause. Go green Jeans. Maybe you'd like to come along on the shoot?" Baylor asks her. Fred was stood by a window nearby watching their conversation. 

Baylor and Daphne get up now as they exit the bloody steak arm in arm. Fred was stood at the window near the door when Daphne turns her head and gasps when she sees him. "Baylor look. A hobo. We've never had one in Crystal Cove before." Daphne says not recognising Fred. "We should give him some change or hard candy or something." 

"Sure I think I got an extra bag of Whey protein on me." Baylor says as he reaches into his pocket and hands a protein bar to Fred who looks at it as Daphne and Baylor drive off now.

 "She didn't even recognise me. What about her and Y/n?" Fred asks as Velma and the others walk up to Fred now.

"Y/n broke her heart Fred. She moved on." Velma says sadly. 

The four were now at city hall with the new mayor. "I can't thank you all enough for coming back. The town and I are grateful." She says as they walk through the halls.

"Speak for yourself there, supposed Mayor." Sheriff Stone says grumpily.

"Sheriff, not this again." Janet sighs as they all come to a set of doors.

 "Is there a problem?" Scooby asks.

"She's not my mayor." Sheriff Stone says crossing his arms. In the event of mayoral arrest the Sheriff, that's me. Shall assume the responsibility of emergency mayor. It's in the sheriffing handbook."

 "No it's not. I was elected to this office by the people Bronson. That's how democracy works." Janet says to him.

"Yeah? Well that's not how democracy works in my America." Sheriff Stone says defiantly.

 "I just don't get it. Baylor Hotner doesn't even wear an ascot. Y/n at least wore a suit." Fred says still in shock. 

"Pull it together Fred." Velma says.

"Ready for what's behind these doors?" Janet asks the gang now.

"Uh, If it's the cafeteria then the answer from my stomach is a yes." Shaggy says.

"I second that." Scooby giggles before he and Shaggy rush through the door. But both they, Fred and Velma are surprised to see the townsfolk on the other side of the door waiting for them.

"Not the buffet I was hoping for." Shaggy whisper to Scooby.

"There they are! Here to save us from Crybaby Clown! Three cheers for Mystery Incorporated!" One of the townsfolks cries out and they all starts to cheer.

"Is the town cheering for us?" Scooby asks.

"They hate us until they need us. Typical adult herd mentality." Velma replies.

Shaggy's parent notice him now. "Norville? What are you and Scooby doing out of prison and the pound? I mean military school and the farm?" His mother asks.

Shaggy lets out a nervous chuckle. "Mom! Dad! Umm...like uh, they, like let me out early. And they made me into a general. Yeah! Like Scooby's here with me undercover so we can save the town." Shaggy says to them.

The sound of nails scraping on a chalkboard causes everyone to stop as they cover their ears. and they turn around to see Crybaby Clown at the back of the room and they gasp as they back away from him. 

"You all know me. You know how I earn a living. I'm a bad clown. Stopping me ain't going to be easy. There's no stringing a net or catching me like Mano Tika Tia or Redbeard's Ghost." The adults back away more now as Crybaby Clown talks. "This Crybaby Clown will swallow your town up whole." He chuckles. "You want your tourism back? You're going to pay me. Five million dollars. For that you get the pacifier, the rattle, the whole damn clown. So what's it gonna be me, or Mystery Incorporated?" He asks the towns folk.

"Sounds like a good deal to me. I'll start passing the hat." Sheriff Stone says as he takes off his hat. "So long Mystery goofs."

"Hold on clown this is our town." Scooby says. 

"That's right. And we don't need money to protect it." Shaggy stammers. 

"Fred, I think it's trapping time." Velma says to him. 

"Huh? Oh right and I know the perfect...uh.." Fred starts but he starts to stammer.

"What wrong?" The Mayor asks. 

"My trapping knowledge it's...all gone. My mind it's empty..." Fred says in shock. 

Crybaby Clown fakes a sob.  "So tragic. Well, I offered. Times up Crystal Cove." He says as the doors close and the lights turn off. 

"Somebody get the lights! Sheriff?" Mayor Nettles asks. 

"No way I'm not leaving my fetal position." Sheriff Stone says revealing to be on the floor in said position.

"Everyone to the doors." Fred calls out but as everyone runs towards them they find their exit blocked off by Crybaby Clown. 

"No exit here." He says, In his hands is a rattle with a button and he presses it now. As he does a light on the ceiling appears showing off a what appears to be a large diaper. 

"Is..is that a..." Scooby starts.

"A dirty diaper bomb." Crybaby Clown says as he sobs. "This baby needs changing." The rattle in his hands flashes now. 

"Over here!" Velma cries out opening another set of doors and everyone flees out of them. As the last person rushes out the diaper bomb detonates causing everyone to watch as glass is scattered everywhere from city hall's windows. 

"Mystery Incorporated will save the town? How's that worked out supposed Mayor. I'm keeping the 50 cents I collected." Sheriff Stone says as he walks away and the mayor looks at the Mystery gang now. 

"I don't understand. Why didn't I know what to do?" Fred asks. 

"It's not just you Fred, I've been studying Crybaby Clown for weeks and can't find any patterns. It's like my mystery solving skills have vanished. Maybe Y/n is more important to us functioning as team then we thought..." Velma admits and Mayor Nettles mouth raises to the side as she hears this before she turns around and leaves. 

"Shaggy, Scooby. What about you guys?" Fred asks. 

"Like, I don't feel any different." Shaggy says. 

"Me either." Scooby adds. 

"Gang, we have no way of getting Y/n back right now. But I know someone we can." Fred says.

The four were now stood outside Daphne's house as Fred run the door bell.

"Fred, this isn't a good idea." Velma says. 

"Mystery solving is in Daphne's blood. Despite everything that happened, She'll come back. I know she will. " Fred says back to her and the door opens now revealing Daphne's father behind them and Fred tries to give a smile.

"Nan, why is there a bearded dirty wizard at the door?" Mr Blake asks.

"Mr Blake it's me. Fred Jones. It's good to see you sir" Fred says. 

"Jones...I'd heard you were back in town." Mr Blake says unimpressed. 

"Dad who..." Daphne starts to asks but she gasps as she recognises Fred this time. "Dad. I'll handle this." She says composing herself and her father leaves. "Fred...you look furrier." She says feeling awkward.

As Fred goes to say something a voice interrupts him. 

"Babe, your mom and I wanna let the pigs loose so we can start the truffle hunt. What's going on?" Baylor asks appearing beside Daphne now.

"Baylor...these are some kids I know from school." Daphne says not really knowing what to say and the gang wave behind Fred.

"Good to meet you school chums. Here for an autograph I presume? No problem." Baylor says as she pulls out a pen and a photo of himself before signing it as Velma and Shaggy start to talk with him a little. As they he do Daphne walks outside and starts to push Fred back.

"Go. You shouldn't be here." She whispers to him.

"The gang needs you Daphne." Fred says to her. "Crystal Cove is in trouble and without you..."

"I'm through with mystery solving." Daphne say looking at Fred now.

"You don't really mean that do you." Fred says.

"Yes. I do. After everything that happened...I moved on. I'm happy now." Daphne says as she holds her arm. "I don't ever want to see you guys again." Daphne says turning away now as she starts to walk away now.

"But Daphne, What about Y/n?" Fred asks her and she stops.    

  "He's gone Fred..." Is all Daphne says before she walks inside now closing the door behind her.

"Well that was a bust." Velma says.

"She'll come back." Fred says  

"What?" The others asked surprised.

"You all bought that? Come on she's obviously just covering for that Baylor Hotner." Fred says and the other look at each other. "Daphne's back in the gang. I can already feel my trapping mojo returning." Fred says motivated as he turns around and heads for the Mystery Machine.

"This is usually the point Y/n would slap some sense into Fred." Velma sighs as she then starts to follow behind.   

The gang had now relocated to a doughnut store as Fred started to explain a new trap he had set up. 

"Uh Fred, Tell us how this trap is supposed to work again?" Shaggy asks as he and Scooby stand with boxes of doughnuts while dressed as zombies.

"We've set up our zombie doughnuts shop in the one part of Crystal Cove Crybaby Clown hasn't hit. Moment he attacks you and Scooby will hurl your doughnut trays, knocking down the door that will tip a bucket of batter onto the seesaw, Which will trigger a water cannon to spray superglue disguised as Jelly filling over Crybaby Clown's feet. Then Daphne will finish him off by pulling the lever that will drop a giant doughnut over his arms so he can't free himself."

"So where is Daphne?"  Velma asks.

"Don't worry. She'll be here. Once the gang's all back together then we'll get Y/n." Fred says putting away his plan now. 

The sound of one of Crybaby Clown's bottle bombs gets the gangs attention now. 

"Here he comes. Places everyone." Fred says and he and Velma rush inside. 

Scooby and Shaggy take their positions as they start to act like Zombies. 

Crybaby Clown is driving by in his wagon when he notices the two and he stops. 

"Doughnuts. Must eat doughnuts." Scooby says. 

"Try our undead crullers. They're full of brains." Shaggy groans. 

Crybaby Clown gets out of his wagon now as he walks up to the two. "My mommy says doughnuts are bad for you."

No. Doughnuts good. Just like brains." Scooby groans.

"Are you calling my mommy a liar?" Crybaby Clown asks.

"Now Scoob!" Shaggy cries as they both throw their doughnut trays up and the doughnuts collect in a basket up on the roof. The tow gulp as the front wall to the building falls down with the stores doughnut trapping Cryaby clown who cries out as the wall rises again with him being dumped through a roof window to inside the store. He lands harshly on a conveyer belt that sets off. A bag of flower and some eggs are dumped onto him that form a doughy batter around him and the water cannons with superglue in them set off. 

"This is it. Daphne release the doughnut!" Fred cries out but as he looks up to the lever Daphne is not there. "Where is she? Where's Daphne!" Fred calls out as he rushes out side and the Mystery gang follow him to unsure of what to do. 

Fred look all around the street but there was no sign of Daphne.

"Aww this makes me think you don't like me." Crybaby Clown's voice can be heard saying and the gang turn around to see he had freed himself as he stood on the shops roof now. "And by the way. Building your little doughnut shop trap next to a fireworks store might not have been the best idea...See you soon, Mystery Indorkorated." He says as he shakes up a bottle bomb in his hands before tossing it through one the firework stores windows.  Crybaby Clown laughs as he jumps down and speeds off in his wagon.

"Run!" Velma cries.

"But Daphne..." Fred says.

"Isn't coming!" Velma shouts as she pushes Fred and the four start to run now as the bottle bomb explodes now and fireworks are set off everywhere across the town as a result causing smoke and chaos everywhere. The Mystery gang are thrown to the road as windows shatter and fires start everywhere.

"Well I think it's safer to say that if that towns people didn't hate us before then this should certainly do the trick." Velma comments.

Fred sighs as he sits up now.

 "Are you okay Freddy?" Scooby asks. 

"No Scoob I'm not. My trap failed and for the first time ever the bad guy got away and it's all my fault.

"We're all responsible Fred. We're a team remember." Shaggy says. 

"That's just it Shaggy. We're not a team. Not without Y/n and Daphne..." Fred says sadly. 

"Well isn't this a mess." A voice says as the gang slowly look around to see a figure stood in the smoke. "Did you miss me, Mystery Incorporated?" The figure asks emerging from the smoke now and their eyes widen at who it is.

And that's the chapter! Wow so a lot has happened in the time Y/n has been in prison the main thing being that Daphne has gotten herself a new boyfriend....What does this mean for Y/n and what does it also mean for him and Dusk's future?
