It was the third day of school and I woke up quite tired. I strolled along the gates of U.A. quietly, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. Suddenly, a microphone was shoved in my face, as well as a few cameras and lights.

"Is All Might really teaching at U.A?! Come on! Give us the scoop, kid!" A female reporter yelled out, showing lots of enthusiasm. I stared at all the cameras and lights, confusion and surprise written all over my face.

"Well? Don't just stand there! Tell us!" She pried. I stood there frozen before quickly walking into the gates, leaving everyone else confused. I hate reporters, why are they even on campus harassing students? I didn't even consent to being recorded.

I walked inside the building as the reporter kept screaming for me to come back and give her some info. "Come on ma'am, we really can't just force every student we see on camera. That kid looked kinda overwhelmed." said a man holding an overhead mic. Thank you, I thought it was common sense to not record random people.

"I told you to stop calling me ma'am! It makes me feel old.." she quickly replied.

Is that all you heard?!

Anyways, I quickly went to class, I didn't have time for this. I smashed my alarm clock by accident this morning so I woke up really late, I barely had enough time for skincare and breakfast.

I let out a sigh, opening the door to my classroom. Everyone else was already there, talking amongst themselves. Kaminari looked over at me, his face showing surprise. "Dang Saiki, you look like death."

Wow, thanks.

I slumped in my seat, leaning forward and resting my head on the desk. As my eyes began to flutter close, I heard a voice booming in my ears. "Saiki! Class is no place to sleep, you need to focus!" Iida scolded, his arms making a chopping motion.

Before I could even respond, Kirishima spoke up. "Calm down, Iida. We know you're a rule follower, but Saiki looks really tired. We can just wake him up when class is about to start." Iida looked at Kirishima and back to me, nodding and bowing to me. "Very so. My apologies Saiki, but make sure you're ready to learn once you wake up!"

I gave him a thumbs up, throwing my uniform jacket over myself like a blanket. I heard the class go silent, or at least quiet. It seems like they wanted me to sleep comfortably.

That's kinda nice...

ᨏᨐᨓᨓᨐᨏ

I felt someone shaking me awake, in which my eyes fluttered back open. Kaminari looked down at me with a happy grin, his golden eyes looking into my violet ones. "Wakey wakey, pinkie pie!"

Don't call me that. Ever.

I raised my head off the desk, adjusting my eyes to the lighting. I let put a quick yawn before leaning back in my chair, watching Aizawa take over the class.

"Decent work on yesterday's combat training, you guys." He started off, turning his gaze over to Bakugou. "Bakugou, you're talented, so don't sulk like a child over your loss. Okay?"

Bakugou scoffed and looked away angrily, obviously still pissed. "Yeah, whatever..."

Aizawa then looked at his papers, reading off the results. "Midoriya, I see the only way you won the match was by messing up your arm again. Work harder, and don't give me the excuse that you don't have control over your quirk. That line's already getting old. You can't keep breaking your body while training here, but your quirk will be really useful if you can get a handle on it. So show a little urgency, huh?"

Midoriya perked up at the last his words, smiling brightly with determination. "Right!" he exclaimed. I twirled my hair around my finger with boredom, looking up when the teacher called my name too.

"Saiki, you're also very talented, and I can tell that you're aware of that. Just because you're talented doesn't mean to be cocky, blindfolding yourself in your battle was impressive but still very egotistical of you to do."

I didn't do it to be cocky! Ugh!

I quickly waved my hands around, grabbing Aizawa's attention. "No?" he asked, trying to figure out what I was trying to say. "You're gonna have to talk sometime soon, kid. You're gonna waste time in battle being all quiet."

I sighed softly, looking down at my desk. He was right about me being quiet, I guess I had to start actually talking. Well, not actually talking, but telepathi-

"Uhm, Mr. Aizawa?" Kaminari began to say, his face looking more serious. "We learned yesterday that Saiki doesn't talk because of something in his past. We don't know it, but that's why he not comfortable talking right now. So, until he finally becomes comfortable, I shall be his translator!"

...

As long as I don't gotta talk, I'm fine with it.

I turned my seat around to face Kaminari, in which he eagerly smiled. "Come on, hit me!" he exclaimed. I shrugged, beginning to gesture what I was saying to him.

For about 30 seconds, I made random gestures to him while the electric boy responded with 'mhm'. When I was finally done, Kaminari stood up proudly. "He said that he wasn't blindfolding himself to be cocky, his eyes are extremely sensitive to light and he has to wear special glasses like his green ones and the ones on his hero costume. When the ice ripped the glasses off his face, he had to cover his eyes to protect them!"

The class began to 'ooh' and 'ahh' at his words, believing that he actually knew what I was talking about. In actuality, I telepathically sent the ideas of what I was saying into his mind as I signed, making him believe that he actually understood my vague gestures. I was willing to play along.

"That's interesting. Every student has a section in their file that's states their medical conditions and allergies. That's how I know Bakugou has an allergy to cinnamon. I don't remember Saiki having any eye conditions on file." Aizawa quickly retorted. Bakugou looked embarrassed that his allergy was exposed, growling angrily.

"Wow Bakugou, you can blow up an entire building with your bare hands, but you can't have a cinnamon bun without croaking over?" Kirishima joked. Bakugou instantly yelled back, "Shut up, shitty hair!!"

"Shut up 'fore I throw you a cinnamon stick." Kaminari smirked at the hot-headed boy.

I let out a tiny chuckle, covering my mouth with my hand. "Don't you dare laugh, pinky!!" Bakugou yelled again, taking out his phone and putting on his flashlight to beam it at me. Now everyone was having a chuckle.

Aizawa quickly waved his hands, telling everyone to calm down. "Everybody shut up. Now Saiki, give me an explanation on why your eye condition is not on file." the teacher glared at me with his dark eyes.

I turned back to Kaminari, faking gesturing to him so he could tell Aizawa. "He said that his brother was the one who found out his condition! You know, the genius scientist? He said his brother made him his glasses."

This seemed to have satisfied Aizawa. Not completely, but for now. "Okay then. Just make sure to go to an actual doctor to get whatever your brother diagnosed you with confirmed. That way, it can properly be put on file." the teacher told me blankly, in which I nodded in response.

"Let's get down to business, our first task will decide your future." He began, the whole class tensing up. "You all need to pick a class representative."

Suddenly, the whole class burst into cheers. "Vote me for class rep!" "I'll take it!" "Yeah you're gonna need me." "I'm totally the right pick!" Don't pick me.

"Silence, everyone! The class representative duty is to lead others, that's not something just anyone could do. You must first have the trust of every student in the classroom. Therefore, the most logical way to fill this position is democratically. We will hold an election to choose our leader." Iida declared, his hand raised in the air.

The whole class responded the same, "It's pretty obvious you want us to vote for you.."

The students began to question Iida's reasoning for a bit before inevitably agreeing. Our teacher curled up inside of his sleeping bag, leaving us to decide amongst ourselves.

ᨏᨐᨓᨓᨐᨏ

"H-HOW DID I GET THREE VOTES?!" Midoriya exclaimed, looking at the board with shock. I'm not surprised that Midoriya got votes, but he's definitely not the best option.

Bakugou instantly stood up with rage, "Okay, you idiots! Who voted for him?!" he yelled, only for Sero to reply confidently. "What? Did you honestly think anyone was gonna vote for you?"

Iida trembled in the back, his face full of despair. "O-only one vote..." he mumbled. Tsu turned around to the boy, her finger pressing to her lip with confusion. "So you voted for yourself, Iida?" she asked, only for the boy to shake his head.

"No, I did not, I actually voted for Midoriya. I don't know who voted for me." Iida admitted. I glanced over at Iida, slightly disappointed. I was the person who voted for Iida, and I'm genuinely surprised that nobody else voted for him. In my opinion, he and Yaoyorozu are the two most capable to lead.

I signed and turned back to the front, where Midoriya and Yaoyorozu stood. By this time, Aizawa was back up from his nap. "Alright, the Class Rep. is Midoriya, and our Deputy is Yaoyorozu." the teacher announced.

The green haired boy shook in fear, his hands balled up into fists. "R-really..? It's not a mistake..?" he muttered shyly, causing Yaoyorozu to sigh. "Ugh, how could this happen.."

All the other students began to compliment Midoriya, satisfied with the decision. I sat in my chair quietly, my head resting in my hand. Although, I wished the class rep was Iida, as long as it wasn't me, I'm satisfied.

ᨏᨐᨓᨓᨐᨏ

At lunchtime, I sat with the same people as yesterday. They all engaged in their conversation while I ate quietly, preferring to be alone. Suddenly, a loud bell rang through the whole school, alarming everyone. I was mid bite when I heard the bell, slowly chewing with confusion.

Is it a fire drill? Nah, it's too early in the year for practice drills..

"Warning, Level 3 security breach. All students, please evacuate the building in an orderly fashion." The intercom said, causing everyone to panic and rush it. It literally just said orderly fashion, but okay... It's understandable why their panicking, I'm pretty sure all my powers made me apathetic at this point.

I set down my chopsticks and began to walk calmly, but soon Kaminari grabbed my arm. "Come on, Saiki! Don't just walk, someone got on campus! You can't always be a nonchalant dreadhead!!" he yelled at me, dragging me towards the exit with him.

What do you mean nonchalant drea- you know what, never mind.

I trailed behind the yellow haired boy, his hand still holding my arm tightly. We were both consumed in the crowd, everyone crashing together like waves. I could barely move, my body swaying back and forth along with the crowd.

My ears were filled with yelling and screaming, in which I pressed my hand to my ear to try and muffle the noise. It didn't work, it was just getting louder, and the space was getting tighter.

I can't breathe, I can't breathe, I can't breathe, I can't brea-

"Saiki! Calm down!" Kaminari yelled, his hands pressing up to my ears. I didn't even notice that I was hyperventilating, my breathing uneven and heavy. I nodded at his words, trying to slow my breathing down. Please, just get me the hell out of here.

He tried to give me the most space he could in this crowd, little by little, my breathing slowed down until it was at a mostly steady pace. My hands still trembled though, holding Kaminari's wrists so he wouldn't slip away in the crowd.

"SAIKI!!" I heard Iida yell, turning my head around to see him not so far in the crowd, "Float me to the exit sign with your quirk!" I quickly nodded, trying to focus.

I used my telekinesis, slowly but surely floating him upwards, in which he used his engine to propel himself to the sign. He yelled out to all the students, his eyes full of seriousness and determination. "LISTEN UP, EVERYTHING IS OKAY! ITS JUST THE MEDIA OUTSIDE, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT!"

"We're U.A. Students, we need to stay calm and prove that we're the best of the best!" He finished, the whole crowd seeming to calm. Everyone began to shift and exit, finally allowing me some space. Kaminari gently removed his hand from my ears, looking down at me with concern, "You okay..?"

He stepped back a bit, putting his hands back in his pockets. I slowly nodded, looking up and giving him a thumbs up. That made a smile grace his face, using his hand to gesture me to come on. "Let's go and finish eating, I saw how you were eating your lunch. It was good, huh?"

Instead of constantly prying, you shift the conversation into a happier one to ease my mind. You're really a good guy..

Thank you, Kaminari.

ᨏᨐᨓᨓᨐᨏ

Back in the classroom, Midoriya and Yaoyorozu were back up at the front. "Come on, Class Rep. Let's begin." the black haired girl said to the shaking and nervous boy.

"O-okay, so we need to decide who the other class officers will be.. but first there's something I wanna say.." The green haired boy said shyly, looking down at the podium. "I've thought a lot about this... And I think that Iida Tenya should be our Class Rep! He was able to capture everyone's attention and get us in line, so I believe that he should be the one leading our class from now on!"

Iida's eyes widened with shock, everyone else in class being satisfied with the idea. He soon stood up proudly, raising his hand up, "If Midoriya is nominating me for this job, I accept. I pledge to carry out the duties of Class Rep. to the best of my abilities!"

"Sounds good, Emergency Exit!" Kirishima said with a grin, in which him and Kaminari were joking about how Iida looked like the emergency exit symbol.

I turned around to the boy, giving him a thumbs up and a smile.

Good job, Iida. That's why I voted for you.
