Chapter 9

Kasun stands up, and leads her to the door.

He stops suddenly and turns around.

“This Is Metoritus Spaceship 1. It Is A Branch Of Our Home Port Up In The Galaxy Milky Way. Milky Way Is The Galaxy That Contains Earth.

This Is The Control Room, Where I Can Control The Ship. This Ship Is One Of The Biggest Ships We Use To Create Boloran Humans.

We Are Grounded To Release Some Of Our Human Projects.

Follow Me…” Alexis followed him out the door and down the hall.

They stopped at the first room. “This Is The Holding Room, Where Our Projects Go To Wait To Be Released.

When They Are Taken Off The Ship, Their Memory Is Destroyed And Recreated. They Have No Inclination That They Were Created. However, They Have The Urge To Fight Injustice And Lead Followers To Greatness.

You May Recognize Some Of The Pictures On These Walls.

George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr. These Are Ones Who Did A Great Service To Us Through Their Leadership. These Are A Few Of Many We Hold To Be Great…”

Alexis stood with her mouth agape.

How can this be she thinks to herself?

All these people she learned about in History from hundreds, even thousands, of years ago, were Boloran Humans?

Kasun tells her “The Complete List Can Be Found In The Achievement Room. On To The Next Room.”

He leads her to the next room down the hall.

“This Is Living Quarters For Us Bolorans. The Human Bolorans Do Not Have Living Quarters On Board, For They Do Not Sleep Until After They Are United With Earth.”

They continue on to the next door. “Here Is Our Factory Room, We Create Humans Here.

Alexis stands in the doorframe, tears already rolling down her face as she sees what happens inside the very room she was most curious to see.

Replicating a factory of similar ideas, human body parts come together to be bound by the magical powers of the machines inside the room.

Kasun clears his throat and tells her “We can start from any age, some here are born as infants, others are created at random ages, it depends on what family they will go to. The families that get the persons older than infant age will get their memories and lives reframed to fit around the boloran being. They will have memories and information provided for them that verifies they gave birth to the being.”

Kasun stands, waiting for her to make a move, unsure of what she is thinking about.

Alexis stands, unsteady, breathing heavily. Tears continue to roll down her face. “Are you absolutely sure I am not a boloran human?” She asks Kasun.

Her thoughts take her to a place of fear and sadness. She imagines being created by robots, instead of being born by the power of God.

The thought is the saddest and worst thought she has ever had run through her mind.

“I am absolutely sure” Kasun tells her, cutting though her thoughts. “You and your family were given life through the power of God. NO ONE can take that from you.”

Alexis relaxes and then flexes again immediately as a new thought runs through her mind.

“Wait! Another robot gave me a shot of Boloran!! Are you trying to change me?” She cries out.

Kasun looks down and shakes his head, giving a little smile. “What Arolio gave you was a Boloran metadose. That is the exact opposite of Boloran.

The metadose is an antidote, if you will, a protector against Boloran. Now no one can try to change you, us, or Halow and his army.

The relief came instantly, without the knowledge of why exactly she needed the metadose.

When she pondered it, she realized the truth. “So I needed the Boloran metadose so that I can kill Halow? Or even the other way around, so he could be able to kill me?”

Kasun’s grief was apparent as he told her “Yes that’s right.”  “Oh…okay” Alexis responds back to him.

She was unsure how she felt about that, about how she felt about all of this.

“Next room” Kasun leads her to the next door, closing the factory room door before he walks away.

“This is the Achievement room, the one I told you about earlier.” Alexis stands, mouth agape, at the door. She stands with a look of shock, confusion, horror, and excitement, on her face. Picture after picture, name after name of Boloran Humans, with hundreds of names that she recognizes.

“I think I’m ready for the next room” she tells him. Not wanting to see any more of it, she quickly shuffles out of the room and begins to walk to the next door.

“Wait” Kasun calls after her. “The rest of the rooms are private.”

“What’s in them?” She questions him, demanding answers.

“Medical offices, kitchen, game rooms, things like that” he says hurriedly, as if he is hiding something.

“Okay, what next?” Alexis asks him. “Back to the control room…this way” he leads her back to where they started. Once inside, she sits down, suddenly exhausted.

“Do you have any questions?” Kasun asks her.

Yeah a million, she thinks, but she decides to keep most of them to herself. She didn’t want him to think of her a child, asking away a million different things.

“What exactly do you want from ME? She asks him.

“We want you to fight. Our war is as good as yours. You should fight to save the human race. Fight to save the God born children. We can help you win. But you have to be the one to kill Halow.”

Alexis interrupts him “does he have to die? Can’t you guys just make peace”

“Killing him is the only way” Kasun scolds her. “He must die for his part in destroying the human race.

Thousands of years have gone by with many peace offerings, and he has refused every single one. The only way to stop him is to kill him. And it has to be you.”

“You keep saying it has to be me…why does it HAVE to be ME?”

Kasun looked taken aback at this question.

“Because…” He was choosing his words very carefully. “God CHOSE you Alexis. Your parents knew this, and they were trying to shield you from it. Hiding you away so you could never be found.

Your name…Alexis…it means protector of Mankind.

God chose you specifically to fight this war. Only you can kill Halow..or die trying.”

Alexis interrupts him again “is this one of those things where we kill each other at the same time and we both end up dead forever and I will be forever known as the girl who saved the world? Because that’s a sick joke and I will not deal with it!”

Kasun chuckles at the look on her face. “Child, no this is not one of those stories, the only one who has to die is Halow.

You could die in the process, yes, but that is surely not the intention nor the plan” he tells her. “We can help you win, we will train you and you will win this war. We will not leave you to die. You have to trust me.

The world needs you Alexis.

God needs you.

Alexis ponders this. A thought races into her head.

“Do I get to meet God?”

Kasun sits back in his chair and presses his fingertips together at the end of his chin.

“We thought about that, God and I.

However the consequences and the effects of a meeting so powerful as that will most likely scar you in a way that you cannot be healed.

So..no…you will not get to meet God.

You will not meet him until it is your time, where you stand before him to be judged.

A judgement, I’m sure you have heard about.

“Yes” Alexis tells him, letting the whole story sink in her soul. She knew she must make a decision. The biggest decision she will probably ever make in her life.

No one should have to make this decision she thinks.

Girls should be making decisions about what dress she will wear on her wedding day, and what she will name her kids, anything but this.

“I think I’m ready to go back to my room now.” She tells him.

He nods as she stands up. The door opens behind her and two robots come in and take her arms.

“Think” whispers Kasun as they whisk her away.
