Meanwhile manette has reached france. he went immediately to the police station and searched for mrs.pross. but mrs.pross was not there in the station. the others in the police station said she has taken leave for about ten days and she continues her leave for three months. this leave is due to her madical issues. manette asked the members in the police station wheather his brother defarge's case has been closed by the police file. the members in the police station said that the case is still in investication. manette was breathless for a  minute. he said to a police inseptor in the station that he has got a call from mrs.pross saying that the case has closed because his brother has sucided. the inspector said it must have been a frank played by some one near you. but manette did not convince himself by the reasons said by the insceptor. he decided to stay in france until the case is over.

Lucie wanted to find who dannie was and so she stayed in goa and movied on. manette stayed at his home alone in france. he went to meet mrs.pross he got her address and phone number from the police station and first called to mrs.pross but the phone was switched off. he then went to mrs.pross's house. a lady opened the door. she than said mrs. pross has shifted her house before ten days. the lady said that pross wanted a brake from her job and so she had kept all her thing, enen her cellphone in her house and had gone for a vacation. the lady did not know where mrs.pross had gone because she did not say anything to the lady. manette said to the lady that he had gone a call from mrs.pross three days back. the lady confirmed that it cannot be mrs.pross because it is the mrs.pross's number. but manette said i was able to realize mrs.pross's voice. he than asked the lady for mrs.pross's cell noted the numbers in the call list.

He than thought to investigate the case by himself because he felt the the police has not taken any step forward in the case. he than invested the phone calls in his brother's cellphone. he than realised that a number was common in both the cell phones.
