READERS POV. (2nd person)

        The fighting has been non stop, you and your friends have been in The Devils realm for what feels like years. Your all fighting for your lives. Some people use magic and others use their own skills. You, Asra, and Muriel are the only few who are using magic and your all exasperated. You do have a plan though..... but not a very good one and Asra will be mad but it's worth it in your opinion. You just need to reach The Devil.
        The usage of magic and chains is all you can hear. The Devil is mainly targeting you because your the key to stopping him. Your friends are trying to protect you but everyone is becoming tired and The Devil hasn't even broken a sweat. You have sweat pouring down your face and your breathing is ragged. You continue to throw out spells and put up shields for your friends who don't have magic. 'I need to reach The Devil' you think while limping your way through the bodies of people. Your friends and enemies notice your slow walk of shame and everything seems to stop. The magic stops flying through the air and you hear someone say "MC what are you doing?" You think Asra said it but you can't tell anymore. Your senses are overloaded and your magic is taking up all of your energy. You continue to limp your way to The Devil with determination in your eyes. The Devil stops his chains attacks and gives your a grin of amusement. You feel someone try to pull you back by your shoulder but you simply shrug them off, you know what you have to do.
       You finally reach The Devil and he looks at you in mild confusion but he quickly wipes the emotion off his face. "Well, well, well, what do we have here" he says while slowly stalking around you like a predator to its prey. He stops in front of you and says "well what is it your want." You take a deep breath and say "I want to make a deal." The Devil gives off a booming laugh and you hear a few of your friends screaming at you to knock it off. The Devil eventually stops his laughter and says "what would that deal be then hmm?" He gives you a wicked smile and you wonder if this is a good idea before physically shaking your head to remove the thoughts. "I-I am willing to give you my magic i- if you leave m-me and m-my f-friends a-alone" you manage to stutter out, your eyes start to tear up knowing you will no longer have a part of you. Everyone seems to freeze while waiting for The Devil to respond. "I see....and who would you like to protect" he asks while stroking his chin. You start to ramble off the names of the people you want to save. After finishing The Devil holds out his hand towards you and simply says "deal."
        You feel your breath catch in your throat and your whole body start to shake. 'Am I really about to do this' you think while turning yourself to look at all of your friends. They are all repeatedly shaking their heads and yelling at you not to do it. Asra is crying the most and it breaks your heart so you quickly rotate your head back towards The Devil. You give yours friend's a quick "I'm sorry." Ignoring your friends cries you quickly shake The Devils hand and say "deal."
        You feel white hot pain serge through your body, making you feel like your on fire. It feels like your heart may explode. You drop to the ground and start shaking violently. You can some what hear your friends screaming your name along with The Devil saying "get out of my realm."
       It feels like hours until the pain finally lessons and you can somewhat sit up. The pain is only in your chest now so you grab your chest and try to stop the searing pain. You notice your no longer in the realm and your friends aren't with you. You start yelling your friends name hoping someone will hear you. After a few moments of yelling and getting no response your about to give up until you hear a familiar voice yelling your name. "ASRA!?" You yell back while stumbling to stand up. You limp and hobble through the woods, the voice getting closer and closer until you hit someone's chest. You shakily look your head up and see Asra. You notice he looks like he's been crying with his red shot eyes and tear stained face. You gently caress their cheek and they give you a small smile before their smile falls and he takes in your figure. Your covered in bruises and your leg is probably broken. They gently lay you on the grass and says "how are you feeling." This shocks you, you haven't even really let it sunk in that you no longer have magic. With tears in your eyes you mumble "empty" while once again tugging on your chest. Asra's eyes soften and they give you a long hug as you cry into their shoulder.
        You sit there for a while as Asra whispers kind words into your ear. Eventually you calm down and you both pull away from each other. Asra gives you a small smile and says "even if I hate what you did, you saved us all so thank you." You try smiling but it comes out as more of a grimace. They give you and once over and pulls you up to your feet. They help you hobble back to the shop where they finally fix you up. You and Asra talk about how it feels for a while before falling asleep in each other's arms, you plan on deciding what to do tomorrow. For now you plan to stay wrapped in each other's arms comforting each other.
