afterglow - part two (requested)

Taylor couldn't control the big smile pulling at her lips as she listened to her fans cheer for her all around her.

This is the first time she's been back on stage in what feels like forever and she's been showered with so much love and appreciation that it's made not just her heart melt, but yours too.

She has her guitar around her shoulder as she stands on the stage, just basking in all the love that was in the stadium between her fans and her.

"You guys are so sweet!" She grinned. "I love you all so much."

The fans cheered again, making a giggle leave her lips.

"So, this next song is really special to me and I'm so excited to get to play it for you all. It's called afterglow."

Screams were heard all throughout the stadium and you were one of the ones they came from, from where you stood in the special VIP section that Taylor reserved for you tonight.

"Before I play it for you all, I'm going to tell you a little story. So I wrote this song for my girlfriend Y/N and I did it one night when things were really hard for me. I had just stepped back into the spotlight again and I felt so overwhelmed by all of the things people were saying about me. The hate, the articles, the media - it was all so much. I didn't want her going through that so I said that we should break up."

The stadium was quiet as everyone listened intently to Taylor as she told the story behind afterglow.

"And she said no."

Fans cheered loudly and Taylor looked at you lovingly as she continued.

"And I'm so grateful that she did because I can't imagine my life without her now. She's the sweetest, most loving girl in the world and I'm so lucky to call her mine."

"I love you." You mouthed.

"I love you too." She mouthed back. "And I hope you all enjoy this song."

She began to play and sing the lyrics to the song, all whilst keeping her eyes locked with yours.

"I blew things out of proportion, now you're blue. Put you in jail for something you didn't do. I pinned your hands behind your back, oh. Thought I had reason to attack, but no."

You looked around and watched the fans wave their lights and hands as she sang, some even singing along with her.

"Hey, it's all me, in my head. I'm the one who burned us down. But it's not what I meant, sorry that I hurt you. I don't wanna do, I don't wanna do this to you. I don't wanna lose, I don't wanna lose this with you. I need to say, hey, it's all me, just don't go. Meet me in the afterglow."

Her eyes stayed locked with yours every second, every lyric.

She was gazing at you so adoringly, giving the fans a sight to see that they'd never forget; seeing Taylor so in love, as she deserves.

"Tell me that you're still mine. Tell me that we'll be just fine, even when I lose my mind. Tell me that it's not my fault. Tell me that I'm all you want, even when I break your heart."

You sent her a bright smile and she sent you one right back, one that made your heart skip beat after beat.

After she was finished performing the song, she set her guitar down and went toward the edge of the stage.

You knew what she wanted you to do and despite the large crowd of fans gathered in the stadium, you didn't hesitate.

You jumped into her arms and she spun you around on the stage as fans captured the loving moment between the two of you, talking to each other about how cute the two of you are together.

"That's so cute!" You heard one fan say as you held Taylor tightly, cheek resting on her chest.

"I love you, sweet girl. Thank you for everything." She whispered into your ear as she held you a little tighter.

"I love you more, Tay. Always."
