Today was one of those days that everything would go wrong it all started Celestia's half brother Jughead need to write a report to present to his history class he decided to go for the history of the serpents even though he didn't know much about it Celestia however did her research before joining the serpents she wanted to understand all aspects of it like the meanings and origins. Jughead didn't think to ask his sister about these things he just thought she had the same knowledge as him so Toni suggested a sort of interview with her grandpa and of course he agreed so they went to the trailer where Jughead had found out the original serpents had been slaughtered by the supposed hero general pickens. the main reason for the history project was because pickens day was approaching in the park named after the man himself it explained to the boy that the original serpent was horned but had now been extincted Jughead took this into consideration and took things into his own hands Celestia was there to witness the whole thing along with toni "thank you grandpa its been a while i need to come see you more i'm sorry " Celestia had met Toni's grandpa many times before and they had been so close and he suggested she call him grandpa seeing as she was basically like a sister to Toni they walked out the trailer and jughead raised an eyebrow

"Grandpa? really C, this probably the first time you met him" the two girls stopped and glared at him she punched his arm " actually i've met him many times i was and still am super close with Toni here , jug you forget that i i've been dating for sweet pea for nearly two years now " toni butted in " two years next week " the girl scoffed "wow topaz you've been keeping count thats true friendship " they both giggled while jughead stood shaking his head they made it to their bikes and they all got on one by one Celestia leading the other two they rode next to her until they got to school and carried on with their normal day

it was the next day and the blue and gold had just been released. Toni and Celestia were shocked to see the front page was the interview that he had previously taken notes on they found him as soon as they could they pushed him into a nearby classroom and questioned him "General Pickens was a murderer and ripples from his gruesome acts continue to be felt today." toni spoke first then handed it to Celestia to read the rest "Descendants of the victims are still being displaced.So I challenge the Northside, instead of honoring men like General Pickens and Hiram Lodge, hold them accountable.Reparations must be paid to men like Thomas Topaz, who are too old and beaten down to fight back for themselves." jughead stood thinking then Celestia spoke up "jug what the fuck did you think you were doing or what you were gonna prove from this ?" "This town is messed up, and it needs to own up to its history." the two girls started to almost physically go red from anger "My grandfather isn't some broken-down victim, okay?"Celestia added in" Or some prop for your insane vendetta against the Northside." jughead shook his head "No, of course not." then toni carried on "Look, I get it.You hate the Northside." Celestia decided to speak again " You hate that instead of inviting you to a party, they asked you to work it.It triggers all your rage about being born on the wrong side of the tracks but look at me i spent all my life on the north side and i not long found out that my dad is the king of the south side but look i might be fucked up but i get through what i can " then the girls said in unison "But this? This wasn't your story to tell" toni shoved the newspaper into jugheads chest, linked arms with the other girl and they walked out leaving jughead to think about his mistakes

Celestia decided after school she would go to her dads trailer to see if jughead had come to his senses about apologising about his article he wrote she opened the door because she always knew it was unlocked and walked in to see jughead sitting on the couch with his head in his hands until he heard his sisters voice "have you learned your lesson yet?" he looked up and nodded"i think so i realise i shouldn't of done it but i did anyway " "now is there anything you wanna say now you've thought about it" she said leaning against the wall "i'm sorry ok is that what you want " she shook her head "not to me you idiot to Toni and her grandpa she's really upset about the whole thing and if you don't wanna lose her you better get your ass to hers then her grandpa's" he nodded and headed for the door but she stopped him "i'm coming with you i wanna hear what you have to say " he just carried on she followed and they jumped on their bikes to the pink haired girls living quarters and Celestia was the one to knock . a few seconds later the door opened "hey girl hows it goin" toni grinned but it soon fell when she saw who was behind her "what's he doing here ?" she snarled jughead came forward and said"Toni i came to apologise for the mistake i made i realise now i had no right to tell your grandpa's story and i wanna apologise to him as well "her expression softened and she nodded shutting the door behind her and walking down her steps to her bike

"you comin or what" they all smiled and ran to their bikes and rode to the trailer they were previously at .they walked in and sat down jughead speaking sympathetically " I was angry. Because the Southside is our home.I'm sick of watching it get dismantled piece by piece in front of our eyes.They take our drive-in.Then they take our school." Celestia hit his arm "I thought you were apologizing." he looked at her "I am. I shouldn't have used your story or what happened to the Uktena against the Northside. I had no right" he sighed" I'm sorry." Thomas topaz then spoke "Whatever your reasons were, you opened an old wound.Now, something has to be done to heal it." Toni looked down at her grandpa "Do you have something in mind, Grandpa?"

the next day was pickens day and the serpents had a plan they were going on a silent protest they all marched to where the main event was taking place it was veronica singing with the pussycats seeing as josie had quit toni led the group they all had duct tape covering their mouths holding signs veronica looked confused "Toni? Jughead?Celestia? What the hell is going on?"Toni spoke into the megaphone" We're here representing the dead and the silenced Pickens Day is a lie.General Pickens slaughtered the Uktena tribe, my grandfather's family.And this land, the land that we're standing on, the land that will soon give way to a new Southside, was stolen from them. And we can't bring them back, but we can and we must honor them" Celestia began clapping causing the others to clap but they were interrupted by Hiram lodge speaking into the microphone "Hey, folks, hi.Uh I think we can all be proud to live in a Riverdale where young people stand up for justice.Where a young woman can defend the honor and legacy of her grandfather.And where we can celebrate the living legacy of the Uktena, who contribute to the rich tapestry that is Riverdale, that is the Southside and that will be SoDale. So let's hear a round of applause for that, am I right? " jughead pulled the tape from his mouth and went to walk up there but he was stopped by a hand on his shoulder he turned to see the old wise serpent holding him back he stood back his sister tried the same but was stopped by sweet pea holding her back she tried to wriggle away but it was no use she stood with anger at what hiram had done because he knew everything said was true

All the serpents that had attended the protest walked into the wyrm disappointed that they had not got their point across most being annoyed Hiram had cut their speech short especially Toni she stormed behind the bar and began her shift while her 'gang' sat by the bar talking to her minus jughead because he went to go sort something with betty or something "listen toni i'm sorry things didn't work out as planned "she waved it off "hey its not your fault and i'm sure everything will look up in good timing " they all smiled and sweet pea said while wrapping an arm around his girlfriend's waist as she sat on his lap"thats the spirit topaz" Celestia trying to change the subject and nudging fangs with her foot "so fangs how about you tell us about that chic you was banging yesterday " he blushed then smirked "who said i was banging her?" she laughed "well considering you were wearing nothing just laying there looking pretty happy i'm gonna take that as you getting some " sweet pea looked at her weird look "wait you saw fangs wearing nothing what the fuck C" she almost choked on the drink she was sipping "don't be jealous sweet pea your the only one i'm fucking "she winked one hand squeezing his cheeks the other in his black hair playing with it while looking up at him then leaning in to kiss him she moved her hand to the back of his head and pushed his head towards his he leaned in and they kissed while she smiled into the kiss then they heard Fp's voice "ok you two break it up" they abruptly stopped and looked at him awkwardly "oh hey dad what's happenin " she said as she stood up quickly her heels hitting the floor in doing so he smirked "i'm just going out to do some business but i'll be back soon" she nodded as he was walking away he said "hey you two keep your hands off each other for at least ten minutes" they laughed and as soon as he left the bar she jumped back in his lap and carried on kissing him.

after a few minutes of making out they stopped and she groaned "ughhh i have to go home i mean don't get me wrong i love it at home but my mo- ..... wait what day is it today ?" they all replied in unison "friday" she squealed "oh my god my mom is away on business and i have to look after the dog soooo you know what that means right?" they all looked at her blankly "it means a whole weekend of you guys staying at mine just smoking pot and drinking and maybe so fun " she winked at sweet pea and he smirked the others faces lit up "when does your shift end Toni?" the girl asked and she replied "it ends in five minutes" the other girl jumped from sweet peas lap and began walking quickly yelling over her shoulder "Topaz we'll bring the car back in five , fangs, sweet pea your with me we're gonna go buy as much pot and drinks as we can and stash it all in the car " they all nodded and smiled she ran out the bar and jumped in her car waiting for the two boys to get in a few seconds later they did and she sped to the convenience store the same one archie threatened the serpents at they ran in the store sweeping shelves of drinks they wanted into the shopping cart they all put them on the counter and the person serving them didn't even ask for ID she reached into her pocket and pulled out a wad of notes and peeled away enough to cover it all she saw her favourite chocolate bar on the counter so added that next to the bottles and said "keep the change handing him the notes he took them and nodded they put the bottles back in the cart and pushed it outside to her car they opened the trunk and put the bottles into it after they finished they shut it and drove to a south side alley they sat in the car looking through the tinted windows she spoke still staring "so who's turn is it this time " they looked at her "oh my god you pussy's i'll go but fangs your next just keep watch in case anything happens" she slid her brass knuckles on her fingers the hand without her rings she lifted herself out of the car walking down the alley talking to a man in the shadows

"you got the stuff i asked for ?" he nodded he handed her the plastic container full of green leaves she held it in one hand and put her hand in her pocket and pulled out the right amount of notes and handed it to him he counted them and walked away she walked back to the car and shut the door behind her "fangs catch" she threw the container over her shoulder he caught it and gasped "yo C how'd you get that much we're not gonna be able to smoke all this in three days " she laughed before starting up the car again and driving to the wyrm to pick up Toni who was waiting outside for them she got in the back and saw the container in fangs hand "woah i see you went to that guy i was telling you about "they laughed then drove home laughing and singing

when they arrived home they unloaded the alcohol while the home owner unlocked the door and turned on the light they put all of the drink i their arms on to the island in the kitchen then she saw her dog and fell to the floor crossing her legs "hii fang hello baby how are you " she stroked him playing with him he squealed excitedly fangs raised an eyebrow "woah why is there a wolf in your house" he said as the dog came running over to him and jumped up at him the young serpents laughed "fang come here " he bounded over to sweet pea where he stroked him affectionately Celestia smiled before being distracted by fangs "why is your dog named after me? am i really that cool?" she scoffed "no actually my mom named him that because her favourite book is 'white fang' "

he nodded she stood up brushing herself of hairs and walking in between her boyfriends legs he was lent against the kitchen island she wrapped her arms around him and picked up a bottle she back up and opened it on the edge of the counter she downed half the bottle handing it to the boy in front of her "thats some strong shit this day has been hell lets have some fun and get wasted " sweet pea nodded "fuck it we haven't gotten drunk in ages so lets do it " fangs and toni decided not to drink to much but the couple downed drink after drink forgetting everything while the other two sat watching netflix Celestia said drunkly "i love you guys so much " toni looked at her "ok come on cella your drunk " she waved the girl off " nah i'm not drunk" she stood up and stumbled along she giggled to herself "sweet pea and i are gonna go upstairs " she stumbled with him while pulling him up the stairs by his hand they went to her room and shut the door the other two awkwardly sat until they hear muffled moans toni quickly looked at fangs "ok and we are gonna turn up the tv" they turned it up louder and watched awkwardly while the two stroked the dog lying on the couch next to them until they fell asleep while Celestia and sweet pea passed out on top of each other snoring lightly not ready for what was ahead of them The calm before the storm
